821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 24, 2023, 09:05:59 PM
It was an impressive win for Liverpool as they triumphed and got valuable 3 points; but it was not against a strong rival, westham is not rival to Liverpool; instead west ham is just a strong middle table team. With goals from Mohammed Salah, Nunez and Jota securing the 3 poiints.
It was a really good win for Liverpool and i disagree that West Ham isn't a strong opponent, David Moyes' team have had a great start to the season and they are a threat to any team, especially on the counter attack, i'm pretty sure some people expected them to come out of this game with something, but unfortunately they couldn't. I thought it might be another 'City and Arsenal' season, but with how Liverpool have been performing, i think i'd add them to it, it might be a three horse race between City, Arsenal and Liverpool, but it is still a long way to go, so we'd have to wait and see.
822  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC Pool Stats on: September 23, 2023, 09:07:22 PM
Wouldn't it be better if total of the biggest pools are less than %50? Would you prefer 4 pools for %50 rather than 2 pools for %50?
Mining is open for everyone, so it isn't about what we think is better, some pools will definitely generate more hashrate than others and if one doesn't think that's right, the only thing you can do is to join/support smaller pools if you indeed have the resources to do so. These pools with higher hashrates aren't going to attack the network or anything, and that's because they stand more to gain if they use their computational power to look for blocks than to attempt an attack. Having said that, miners are definitely going to pull out of any pool that turns malicious and they are going to lose most of their hashrate, so there's prolly nothing to worry about.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 22, 2023, 05:00:43 PM
Real Madrid without a top striker like Benzema or someone simillar cannot win anything big honesty. Last few games Real Madrid is barely winning the matches in the last minutes and it is just a matter of time when their luck runs out. They need a superstar really soon and a good bench.
Carlo Ancelotti has repeatedly said that he is happy with the players he has in his squad, i'm pretty sure the club has analysed the situation and they believe they can achieve quite a lot with the players they have already. Mind you that Vinicius Junior is also out injured, when he is back he would get more goals for the team, Joselu is also a pretty decent striker, thus i think Real Madrid have all it takes to be successful this season, and then next summer they'll prolly get Mbappe for free.
824  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful with your transactions. on: September 22, 2023, 04:03:00 PM
Recently we heard how paxos over paid $500,000 transaction fee to move $2000BTC due to bug.
Well, it wasn't a bug in the network, but in whatever bot or automated system that Paxos used to make that transaction. If you use a good software to create your transactions, there is usually a warning if you are about to pay an excessive amount in fees.
Which F2pool has accepted that it was there pool, but I don't think that F2pool will refund back all the funds,
F2pool refunded the money back to Paxos a long time ago, and the case is closed already.
825  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be smart while using a p2p exchanges on: September 22, 2023, 12:44:42 PM
Binance na centralized exchange, no be p2p exchange; but nevertheless in any trade wey person dey make him suppose double-check before releasing funds or closing the trade. Scammers dey everywhere and some of them go even dey pressure you say make you release the coins, na trap, no fall for am; you must confirm say you don receive the funds before you release coins.

Having said that, you go make sure say you enter your bank app to confirm the payment, do not rely on the sms credit alert wey you recieve, always check your bank app as well to be sure.
826  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are some trust feed backs not having reference on: September 22, 2023, 11:36:23 AM
What is the level of authenticity do you give to trust feedbacks that doesn't contain a reference link to serve as evidence, be it positive or negative/neutral trust.
Every case will be different, for example if you say someone is a scammer without any proof/reference and no other user has had any complaints about the said user, such feedback should be ignored. In other words, what i mean is that feedbacks related to trade risks or the possibility of someone losing money should they deal with a certain user, ought to carry a reference.

But if you are leaving a neutral/positive feedback because you think someone has been a net positive to the forum and has contributed so much to the forum (without you trading with them), that might not require a reference (if you don't have any), and any user that has been in the forum for awhile would be able to verify that feedback.
827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My decision on bitcoin on: September 21, 2023, 10:26:44 PM
Thanks guys, for your wonderful advice, I have decided to practice DCA every month, and by the way I have purchased my first set of satoshi from an exchange.
Congratulations on your first BTC purchase, one more thing, don't keep your funds on an exchange, so i hope you've transferred the coins from the exchange you bought it into your non custodial wallet. If you have not, then there are good open source wallets for you to choose from, wallets like Bluewallet, Sparrow, electrum or if you want total privacy you can use Bitcoin core, then as your funds grow bigger you can consider getting a hardware wallet or setting up an air-gapped wallet.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 21, 2023, 10:00:20 PM
But no matter what they are still the biggest favourite to win the Premier League title. I just hope they don't pull away from others early. This would make the league a little boring. Last season was really nice in terms of this thanks to Arsenal's effort.
Yeah, City are the favorites for the EPL yet again (i wonder for how long we're going to continue saying this), and i can't see the team that's going to stop them, the other teams in the EPL wouldn't want City to win their fourth title in a row, but they'll have to stop them on the pitch, which looks somewhat impossible to do at the moment. Arsenal made it competitive last season, and i think they'll do so again this season, Liverpool are looking good too; i doubt if City win run away with the title, but i have no doubts about them being the strongest favorites to win it.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 21, 2023, 07:33:54 PM
Joao brothers aka Felix and Cancelo looks really different when they were playing in their old teams and when they play for Barcelona, I expect Barcelona will sign both of them permanently. Barcelona need to prepare at least 200 Million Euros because Atletico Madrid tend to ask ridiculous amount.
Barcelona will definitely want to keep the both of them, but i don't think they can because of their current financial situation, Manchester City and Athletico Madrid will ask for quite a lot of money for a permanent transfer for each of the players, coupled with their salary/wages. I expect both Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix to return to their respective clubs after their loan spell is over, and from there they'll prolly be sold to another club that has the money to buy them.
830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 21, 2023, 05:26:30 PM
The North London derby is the game of the weekend, it is even better right now as the two teams are in top form, undefeated after five games thus far in the EPL and both of them are level on points (13), it promises to be a really exciting game with many goals in it. Ange Postecoglou will get his first taste of the North London derby this weekend, i'm pretty sure he has been told a lot about this rivalry and i guess he is definitely looking forward to it.

Talking about Ange, he has had an unbelievable start to life with Spurs, if they can defeat Arsenal this weekend, they'll be making a huge statement that they might just be title contenders themselves.

You cannot learn everything all at once, so maybe you need to calm down and take things step by step, you are already in this forum and you can learn practically everything here, all by readiing, using the search button and asking questions. There are quite a lot of complicated aspects about Bitcoin that will probably take you time to learn, so you must be patient and start with the basics, which is less complicated and easy to understand.

Since you are looking for videos to watch, here is a good one you can try:

832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 20, 2023, 09:34:58 PM
Seeing Liverpool's condition now after their 4 consecutive wins I think the match against West ham will not be too difficult for them to get 3 points back.
West Ham is always a difficult team to face, there are no easy games when you come up against them. Talking about a good start to the season, West Ham themselves have been pretty impressive, they have won 3 out of 5 games, drawn 1 and lost 1 against the treble winners Manchester City. Liverpool are at home in this clash, and with the kind of noise the fans make in support of their team in Anfield, Liverpool will have a slight edge/advantage in this game, it is going to be a tough game, but imo Liverpool would win 3-2.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 20, 2023, 08:39:38 PM
Regarding Joao Felix and Cancelo, if they can be consistent with their performance, it is very likely that Xavi will try to make them permanent at the end of the season. It could be that by releasing several other players, it will cover the costs of recruiting both or one of them.
City want to do away with Joao Cancelo, just the same way Athletico Madrid want to sell Joao Felix, but the problem is the wages in their contract and the signing fee that the two clubs would request. Barcelona are in a financial mess, thus i don't think they can cover all these and make it work, even if they release a few players. There is a pretty high probability that the both players will return to their clubs after the loan spell is over, and from there the club will prolly work on their exit to clubs that can afford them.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 20, 2023, 07:01:18 PM
The match was about to start, a draw seemed impossible.
Well, it doesn't seem impossible to me; the game is about to start and right now a draw looks like the best prediction imo, what seems impossible right now is a goalless draw, i think we are going to see a fair amount of goals in this game. Erik Ten Hag is under pressure, Manchester United have been pretty bad in the EPL thus far, and they desperately need a win to lift their mood, if they lose tonight, it will affect them so much, it could even make their performance in the EPL worse; let's watch and see how things pan out.
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream coins or altcoins? on: September 20, 2023, 11:52:01 AM
Investing on mainstream coins gives the assurance of profit and have the track record for the same.
Mind you that there is no investment whatsoever with an assurance/guarantee of profit, quite rightly some investments are more risky that the other ones, for example, Bitcoin has an actual utility, so its risk is quite lesser than when one is gambling with altcoins, but it still doesn't mean there is an assurance on any of them, because you can lose your Bitcoins or sell at a loss because of real life financial problems.
836  Other / Meta / Re: Just for curiosity, I wanna know about those things.(Local board>child Board ) on: September 20, 2023, 11:36:41 AM
If there is need for a child board, a simple pm to theymos can solve this problem.
It is not as simple as that, Grin as it could take quite a long time, it could take as much time as requests for a local board and there has to be at least enough traffic in the main board for the admin to even consider it.
For sticky post, it is only when there is a worthy post to be pinned that it would be pinned. When such a post is made by any member, there is no doubt that it would be pinned.
Sticky posts as well have to be done by the admins, so the request has to be made to one of the admins as to why the post should be stickied and they will decide whether to stick it or not. None of these is so straightforward or guaranteed to be done, especially with how the admins are usually reluctant to make too many changes.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 20, 2023, 01:18:10 AM
I think Tood boehly should be able to adjust their budget for next season's transfer window. He has to see the return on the investment he has made in these 2 seasons. Will he succeed, or continue to see Chelsea fall below the top 10.
Todd Boehly doesn't understand anything about football, so i am not expecting him to make any rational decision, Chelsea have been buying players left, right and center and i'm not sure Todd knows when to stop. I think it is very possible for Chelsea to finish in the bottom half of the EPL table this season, exactly the same way they did last season.

Having said that, i doubt Mauricio Pochettino knew how difficult it would be coaching this Chelsea side, but i'm pretty sure he has found out now, he is the one that's under the most pressure, if performances don't improve from now until January, there is a high chance that Todd could fire him, like he has done to Tuchel and Potter.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 19, 2023, 11:54:19 PM
City had a pretty good start in their first ever defense of the CL trophy, it wasn't as straightforward as majority would have expected or predicted, but that is what the CL can bring, anyway City with the three points in the end though they missed so many scoring opportunities. Manchester City continue in their 100% record this season, winning every game in the EPL thus far, and now winning their first CL game, i know it sounds somewhat impossible, but could they successfully defend all the trophies they won last season, can they win the CL back to back?
839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Admin BTC Wallet Special Protection - Development - Admin Wake Up on: September 19, 2023, 10:05:58 AM
Nowadays wallets with many BTC, like world known Bitcointalk admin wallet need different antivirus/antimalware software with special protection against hackers.
Everybody's funds is important to them and they should protect it, worry about you own Bitcoins and allow other people to worry about theirs. Mind you as well that antivirus/antimalware doesn't do much to protect you from losing your funds, your keys should be kept offline if you want to keep it as far away as possible from hackers.
Hackers are very experienced people - check Electrum wallet hack here - https://coingeek.com/hackers-steal-over-22-million-via-electrum-wallet
Electrum wallet wasn't hacked per se, but electrum users were hacked when they were deceived into making a malicious update that installs malware into their device. The solution to this is to run electrum offline and on your own electrum server.
840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If your into crypto you should also attend events if you can here is why on: September 19, 2023, 08:26:00 AM
I have never attended any of such events and i don't think i would even be interested in attending one. Mind you that you don't learn about Bitcoin in a Bitcoin conference that just lasts a few hours, and whatever thing that would be said there can easily be found online. As a matter of fact most people who attend these conferences already have enough knowledge of Bitcoin, they only attend for networking purposes.

Not to talk about the risks involved in attending such events, and the disappointment of finding out that the conference wasn't actually about Bitcoin, but for one altcoin or the other. Learn over the internet, join Bitcoin forums like Bitcointalk; if you do these you might never see the need for these events.
