8221  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: investing in hyip sites? on: March 24, 2018, 02:01:49 AM
There are thousands of hyip sites running in internet and most of the time many people still investing in that scheme. The good thing about of investing in hyip sites is you can earn 200% or more  ROI in your total  investment like it said. like hell ? its obviously SCAM ! ! ! ! .  and also many people are still investing in that same shit even though they know it or they even scammed before. change your lifeeeee ! , your taking risk from trash source.

I guess one time or another, most of us have been deceived by so called HYIP. I still remember that I was really encourages to put some investment and I'm happy that I'm earning like every week so I continue to reinvest and just looking at the calendar and counting how much profit I should me making.

But lo and behold, the site went into maintenance and I can't withdraw and sadly, most of us have been scam. Really hard lessons but I took it and said that I will never be scammed again.

Thanks for the warning though.
8222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for the cryptomarket to catch up? on: March 24, 2018, 01:43:48 AM
Atleast January 9th this year, my crypto investment was $50,000. I checked it today and it has dropped low to $9860.
I am very sad.
Please is there any chance the market will recover and i will get my $50,000 back?

I'm pretty sure that you have nightmares seeing your portfolio going down. But hey, you are not the only one suffering. Almost everybody, although I have investments, but its not big as yours. It just really sad and felt very frustrated that after enjoying so much money in December, comes the suffering.

But don't give up, don't cut your losses by selling, but instead just continue to hold because I very positive that one way or another we will bounce back and can get to at least break even mid year. So just hold your horses and don't do something stupid that you will regret later.
8223  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-22] BTC Price Falls as Markets React to (False) Japan Binance Thread on: March 24, 2018, 01:24:40 AM
Unfortunately, market is very sensitive towards this kind of announcements. Hope it will win those $500 as soon as possible

WOW. Just observation, I just you are really a newbie. Every single negative news (fake or not) will really tip the price to the opposite side as this market is very fragile as this moment. And it made a -$500 swing in just short amount of time. However, today I saw the price climbs as high as $8900 only to dropped again to $8700. hahaha,

Talking about volatility. Its weekends so I'm expecting that there will be some king of minor dups again. But at least $8K will be a good start for the week of March and just maybe $9K ballpark will be met again before this month ends. Let's see how it pans out.
8224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mandela's Gold Hands Sculpture purchased with Bitcoin for $10 million on: March 24, 2018, 12:46:56 AM
This will somewhat bring a lot of attention to bitcoin and the whole crypto market as well. We would have thought that some kind of historical value will be purchased by Bitcoin? No one. So I think its a needed boost to the already fragile market.

I hope though that it will set a precedence as well, and then we will see in the future the most auctions houses across Europe and North America accepting bitcoins as mode of payment. We will see how it goes in the next 5-10 years.
8225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Google Will Remove Crypto-related Ads Starting June 2018 on: March 24, 2018, 12:32:58 AM
Google is now in the hands of large financial groups that are afraid of a decentralized economy autonomy. Le Crypto represents a competition, it is obvious that Google and Facebook make war

A war that will be futile at the end and it will not to on their favor.

Google will ban all relevant types of ads with cryptocurrency in June 2018, this is done for updates to their Financial Services policy.

I'm sure they know that will potentially lost a lot of revenues here. We all know that putting ads is very profitable as well, so banning them will surely hurt them that's why they are restructuring it in June. They don't need a total ad ban, but at least policies that will be both beneficial to each parties.

it was necessary to be done. there were so many fake ico. I think there are forbidden to protect people. it is not needed to advertisement for good project.

Do you honestly belief that they are doing to protect people? Who's people are you talking about here? They are all businessman. Maybe they are just under a lot of pressure from the US government that's why they needed to do it. But for the sake of protecting others? Nah, I don't think so.
8226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum TO $400 AGAIN on: March 23, 2018, 11:59:07 PM
It is not very likely ethereum will ever go that low ever again. There seem to be a strong resistance around 550 and i do not think people will be willing to sell below that.I would have been a very good buy at 400.i do hope the market will recover soon

Resistance at $500 and $550 is there so I do hope that ETH will not crash to $400. The year started very bright on ETH as opposed to Bitcoin who continues on a wild price swing. But it looks like ETH never recovered from the first fall, upon reaching all-time-highs, it suddenly slides more than 50% of its high.

If it ever go back to $400, then it will be back to where it started in June, so be ready for your funds again and start buying when it goes to $400 and then just hold because we might see a similar event like last year and reaches another all-time-high before the end of the year.
8227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin is pretty easy on: March 23, 2018, 11:46:32 PM
Hello,

I am a new investor in Bitcoin and I can tell that trading Bitcoin is so much easier that trading Forex. I double my wallet in 3 months with swing trading! I bought Bitcoins between 6000 / 7400 and sold them at 11.500. Last days I bought Bitcoins between 7300 and 8100 and I still have them.
The important thing is to believe that bitcoin will continue to go up, like me, so you can find the good entry points.

I post Bitcoin analyzes on my twitter channel so take a look, I already have some good results from my start. I post also my results of my profitable EA forex robot.

https://twitter.com/christopheduh1

Good luck!

Chris

I think you may have bought it during the last bottom so that's how we really make money out of the market. Of course you need to have that mental toughness to wait it out before selling it. You are lucky that you have bought it at bottom and sell it at the top price because most newbies keeps on waiting for the bottom/top price before making their moved.

One thing though is that you need to have a exit strategy, which you did that's why you make gains. The last bottom that we have is $7500 so I'm expecting the price to at least double to $15K before I will dump it.

Goodluck to your new found strategy and I hope that newbies will find your story inspiring and not to dump with every dip that they are encounter.
8228  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Beware YOBIT users on: March 23, 2018, 10:37:13 PM
I have been answering 2 support tickets for more than two months.
They allow the purchase in btc of COX and do not allow the sale when they can not be moved to another exchange. Yobit is stealing user's coin in that way and it's not the only currency they use to cheat. BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM

We have heard so much complaints against Yobit that I wouldn't be surprise that you will be another statistics to the growing number of complainants.  Grin. And I'm sure that its a expensive lessons for you to make dude. But thanks anyways for the fair warning.

If you just go around the scam accusations, we will see many many complaints against them. And for those who have been around this game for too long, have totally moved out of Yobit and venture to other exchanges such as Binance.  I'll give you a tip, go here: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/ and you can see that Yobit is below, #36. Enough said!!!
8229  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-23] Edward On Bitcoin:World Needs Better Option To Avoid Gov’t Coercion on: March 23, 2018, 10:11:27 PM
Satoshi didn't envision that bitcoin will take over the world. He just wanted to have a payment system that will be used universally. Sadly though it was being abused my criminals and hackers that why it gone to a lot of scrutiny from the governments.

If someone doesn't want to go to bitcoin because of privacy issues, then pick privacy coins. I don't agree with him regarding the public ledger, we can used tumblers to hide our activity if we wanted to.
8230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Beginning of luck in 2018 on: March 23, 2018, 09:48:15 PM
Arriving as it waits for the $ 10,000 mark at the end of March, I think we will go as far back as possible to achieve hope in 2018. What do you think about this situation?

We started at the wrong feet and we seems to be having a hard time trying to get up. And with the Mt. Gox trustee keeps dumping when we are enjoying a good run before, I think we need more positive news to be able to give life to the market.

Fresh blood needed to push the price at least $10K mark and say that the bulls are back. However, I guess that we can't achieved it at the end of the month.

Let us see how April will bring to us. I hope that at least the bulls can somewhat battle and fought the bears who have been on top for more than 3 months now.
8231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin News on: March 23, 2018, 09:28:13 PM
Survey Says 8% of the American Population now own Cryptocurrency.

The survey also found a major gender gap in cryptocurrency holding, with just 4.27% of women saying they own cryptocurrency compared with 11.86% of men. And the average amount of bitcoin purchased by women is just $1,821.65, compared with $3,923.16 for men.

It doesn't make any sense specially the gender gap. Bitcoin is for everyone and has no boundaries, so I don't care if most of them are men anyways. But its very welcoming that Americans is close to what I'm expecting every nation is at in terms of cryptocurrency around 10%.

I'm sure that in the next 5 years, it will likely double and the adoption that we are talking and debating will probably around 2023 and beyond which coincides with the 6 figure ballpark.
8232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you heard this news of G-20 for Crypto currencies? on: March 21, 2018, 11:23:22 PM
I have read the news on several forums and cryptocurrencies news sites and the comments people are making about it is that it is a good news and we should expect bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies going to mainstream very soon. Many people were thinking the g20 are going to give warning about cryptocurrencies but the revise was the case and this should encourage us the enthusiasts.

You don't need to go further as this forum already has a lot of threads about the positive results coming from the G20 meeting.

Actually, one of its board advisor told that crypto is not a bad thing as only 1 % of people around the world is into, or something to that effect, I remember that it was a Sunday and the price went as low as $7500 but in a matter of hours the price jumped to $8000 and then after the meeting it ballooned to $9000 so the outcome of the G20 thing has really brought this jump in price.
8233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End of Bitcoin? on: March 21, 2018, 10:48:53 PM
Ok, so this is the very first time I am seriously concerned about the future of bitcoin:

https://gizmodo.com/child-pornography-that-researchers-found-in-the-blockch-1823927566

This article talks only about child pornography within the blockchain, but apparently the researchers also found copyrighted material, and other illegal content. Having worked on international governance matters, I fear this could mobilize sufficient national authorities to arrange a concerted crack-down on anything related to bitcoin (starting with, for instance, prohibiting exchanges, fiat flows related to bitcoin etc.).

Given the nature of the blockchain, I can't see any TECHNICAL solution.

Two questions in this regards:

1) do you agree that this is a major threat to the existence of bitcoin?
2) assuming that bitcoin would have be "restarted" (a fork obviously would not solve the problem), how could an "ethical" and "legally acceptable" from of the blockchain and thus bitcoin work?

What is this? Another attack on crypto and trying to portray it in bad light?

I believed that this is another FUD to spread malice about cryptosphere so I urge you to not take it seriously. You have to look at traditional fiat. Its been used not just for child pornography but other illicit things. They are trying to put a blame on blockchain which is obviously is not designed to be for criminals used.

Again, this kind of article should be put to trash bin because its totally garbage and the argument is seriously flawed.
8234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysts expect the fall of Bitcoin to $ 2,800 on: March 18, 2018, 11:09:34 PM

Analysts expect the fall of Bitcoin to $ 2,800. According to Day, the penny is the same as in 2013. If this trend continues, in the near future Bitcoin may fall 76% from the peak in late February: reaching $ 2,800.

First, there are no so called experts in crypto market, as the price is based on pure speculation. Personally, I don't think that $2800 is not possible. Because I'm sure that there are buyers around $6K, and that is a great buyer opportunity to all of us.

And please don't be fooled by them, many have predicted that it will go to 0, but its already 9 years since bitcoin continue to thrive and even went as high as $20K last year.

Miners will continue to go mine bitcoin no matter what the price is going to be, in my opinion.
8235  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's with the fud? on: March 18, 2018, 08:56:29 PM
After reading several topics about how bitcoin is going down and how people are getting out it just crossed trough my mind that FUD has started to shake weak hands(again) and that in next few days bitcoin really might start going up.

Anyone share the same opinion?

FUD is like a shadow, it won't simply go away and will always follow us. Good that you notice that this is how the forum works in cyclical, bitcoin goes down, a lot of newbie account or even old accounts wakes up and spread FUD around the forum. But when bitcoin suddenly goes up, the exited, just lurk in the background and comes out with bitcoin is going down again.

I believed that most of them are paid schills, to spread FUD and strike fear amongst the newbies to make a sell so that they can buy bitcoin at a lower price. Its very fraudulent practice but the only way to at least prevent this is not to listen and totally ignore them.
8236  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Bitcoin price drops even further? on: March 18, 2018, 08:11:28 PM
3 Days after I have posted this subject Bitcoin price even drops further to $7,400 and it is dropping by the second.

I am standy and will buy BTC when the price make a free fall.

Yeah, the price keeps going low and a lot has been in the panic mode. Well as I have said, this is another perfect time to get in the market will its at a discount.

The Mt. Gox trustee dumping is already done. I don't know why people thinks it is still the main factor as to the current nose dive of bitcoin. Its really the panic sellers who are doing this. Stop with the Mt. Gox argument. Its becoming non-sense now.

If people would try to understand what's going on, there's no coin movement of the Mt. Gox trustee, its really the weak hands that are exiting because they really got murdered when they bought bitcoin at the top price and want to cut their losses. But for most of us, we look at it at the price side. Cheaper coins now means we can purchase more coins.
8237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is crashing on: March 18, 2018, 07:32:34 PM
What happen n the market? is this the end ?

I don't think that this is the end or something. There's a lot of bearish sentiments going around that's why they are in a panic mode and offloading right now. We have been in this kind of situations before so you don't need to panic.

I'm not sure, but I really hope that after such a low fall there will be high growth!

We have seen bitcoin bounce back from a great fall. Just remember how we almost fell on our knees when China suddenly turns its back against bitcoin. We have recovered and has moved forward since. However, this is a new challenges, 2018 is very different as governments is trying to put a grip on crypto.

G20 summit meeting where crypto is going to be discussed for the first time. For me, this is the reason why we are seeing a lot of panic today. In the next couple of days we will see what's gonna be the result of the meeting.
8238  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-18] Tokyo Whale Stopped Selling; Will Bitcoin Price Increase? on: March 18, 2018, 07:07:49 PM
I don't think that he can be categorizes as whales, yes, he offload huge amount of bitcoin, but technically its not his. He is just a trustee. Anyway, I agree that he is one contributing factor to the downfall of the price, but its already late when we really learn what the reason why the price keeps falling after we have rode the bulls last December.

He is just too stupid not to understand the consequences before I personally believed that the is aware of his action. Unfortunately, We all have seen the effects of his action, PANIC.

And now we are into deep waters again, price at $75xx, and who knows what's the current price if he didn't do such stupid acts. We may be still at the 5 digits figures by today and bullish sentiments still remains.
8239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I’m out on: March 18, 2018, 06:37:38 PM
I had a blood clot on my brain in late January and stroked out.By the time I got out of hospitals rehab a month later I’m seeing 85% losses, with no end in site. I can’t ride this rollercoaster any lower. I’ll be happy to escape with some profits now rather than ending up underwater. Good luck to all.

Ok. If you are really telling that truth then I would understand where you are coming from. Its really hard to take a huge loss so everyone is getting out and are happy to escape with some profits.

But almost everyone in here is for the long haul. Yeah, no one can predict the market price, but we know that bitcoin is resilient can bounce back any time, so stay tuned. I suggest you go back when everything is back to normal. But I guess you won't maximize your profits because you decided to quit. Goodluck though.

Really time tough times ahead, weak hands are getting out, while strong hands like what they are seeing. Another perfect time to buy in this dips and accumulate more bitcoin.
8240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin?? on: March 18, 2018, 01:14:40 AM
bitcoin is best in my opinion. because bitcoin is the pioneer of crypto currency. but altcoin is also very good. because it helps in growing crypto currency. in my opinion, if there is no altcoin, bitcoin will not be expensive like this.

Wait, being the pioneer doesn't always equate for a good return. There are other alts that took off specially last year that gives good return, more than bitcoin's astronomical growth.

But if given the chance, I will go for both, as hedge against each other. Although the market is on a bearish trend and continue to bleed, I'm fairly positive that we can see significant increase before the end of the year.

And this is a good time to invest because both market are in red and the prices is very very cheap. So to me, both bitcoin and altcoin are good invested specially for long term.
