861  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buy BTC wallet private keys or mnemonics at half price!! on: July 27, 2022, 06:53:37 PM
Half price is way too expensive. Bitcoin is on sale right now at ~70% off.

That, and of course the OP is a scamtroll.

It looks like Orban is the last public politician in Europe with Putins balls in his mouth.
Anyway, there is an honest question: does anyone have an idea how Hungary with their government fits in the Transatlantic security architecture? I mean, I don't follow imaginary countries much but I'm wondering what is the contribution of Hungary, how it makes the Alliance stronger and based on what was accedence at one time?

Even though they have a clown in charge, it's still probably better to have them in NATO/EU than not. Otherwise Orban would be sending troops to Ukraine to help Russia or at least providing airports etc (like Lukashenko).

Are you able to connect a laptop to your mobile hotspot and cast to a tv?

Nope, I wasn't able to make it cast to a PC or to a TV directly, and google said that I'm not alone so I'm guessing NFL is blocking that.

Come to think of it, given the billions they're extorting from TV networks I'm surprised they are able to show any games outside of a $200 cable package.
864  Other / Meta / Re: Ignore account PM on: July 23, 2022, 07:40:43 PM
There is an option to ignore PMs (separate from forum post "Ignore" feature) but AFAIK the sender would not be able to send the message to someone who is ignoring them, i.e. in your case you would have known if the user in question is ignoring your PMs.

865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 NFL is finally launching its own streaming service 🏈🏈 on: July 23, 2022, 12:36:16 PM
It should work on wifi, I didn't know you could watch all the nfl games on the nfl app. I thought it was only highlights and replays.

Not all games I think, just the "local" ones on Sunday but I found that using a simple location spoofing app I can pick pretty much any game.

And yeah the live games would stop playing if the phone connects to WiFi.

So this new "plus" thing might be an improvement but I'm guessing the freebie will be no longer available. If it does work over WiFi, it might be worth it so that I don't need to have an unlimited plan, but it would have to be less than $10 per month.
866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 NFL is finally launching its own streaming service 🏈🏈 on: July 23, 2022, 01:11:07 AM
Quote
You’ll have access to local and nationally televised games on Sundays…but only on unspecified "mobile devices" through the NFL app.

https://mashable.com/article/nfl-plus-streaming-service-explained

Isn't that what the NFL app was already doing? For free. Now they're gonna want money for it, great Roll Eyes

BTW "mobile device" with the current app means you have to use a mobile network (can't watch via WiFi).

Russia gave Ukraine independency (ie their own country) back in 90's. Did UK gave Maori their own independent country?

It was not Russia's to give to begin with. USSR collapsed, Russia was lucky to get out of it in one piece itself, and even with nukes etc. Russia "gave" independence to Chechnia and then basically destroyed the country to take it back. That's a proper example of pyccкий миp.
868  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase One - Zero trade fees? on: July 21, 2022, 05:06:37 PM
I think it's not worth it to spend $30 per month or $360 per year for this, and this looks like a desperate move from Coinbase to regain some of their volume they lost in last couple of months.

Depends. I spend $50-100 in fees on CB Pro so I might give this new thing a try.

Most of that volume in Bitcoin was transferred to Binance exchange, according to chain analytics stats I saw few weeks ago, but I am not a fan of both exchanges.
I think that FTX exchange was also offering free maker fees (for staking 25 FTT tokens) and plus you have zero fees for withdrawing Bitcoin and most other coins from their exchange, that is a very good deal.

The problem with switching to another exchange is having to go through anal probing KYC again, I wouldn't do that to save $100 or $30 in fees.
869  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Regarding Daniel Evans on: July 20, 2022, 06:23:30 PM
I don't get bent out of shape about multi-accounts unless they're being used for cheating or violating the forum's rules, but you'll have to forgive the others for their suspicions.  Most (not all) of the time folks have multiple accounts is for nefarious reasons.  Even though I'm not convinced that you are being honest that this is first account here, I tend to agree with your comment; an alleged injustice may have occurred, that should be the primary focus.

Alleged injustice of being muted in a casino trollbox?  Grin

The rules are quite lax so being muted/banned/whatever means the OP is an exceptionally obtuse degen, probably begging or some shit like that and apparently they've done it repeatedly. Nothing of value was stolen or otherwise scammed as far as I can see and the OP should just go gamble elsewhere if the owner/admin of the site doesn't want them there.

What are the chat rules?
    1. Don't ask for money anywhere including in private messages and the spam channel. Asking for loans or investments and implying that other players should give you money is equivalent.
    2. Don't advertise. This includes trade and job offers as well as referral and affiliate links. Advertising in the spam channel is tolerated as long as you don't automate posting your ads.
    3. Don't use multiple accounts to chat at the same time or to evade mutes. Using an account to chat while muted on another account may lead to it being muted as well.
    4. Don't share accounts with other players, even temporarily. If they become muted or banned for breaking the chat rules, your accounts might end up being muted or banned as well.
    5. Beware of scammers! bustabit is not a trading site and won't get involved in disputes between players under any circumstances. We highly recommend not trading here.

First and foremost, you're biased in this situation, clearly.

Yes, I'm heavily biased against shit-stirring morons like you.

this is my first btctalk account

LOL again

Bye, Felicia.
871  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Regarding Daniel Evans on: July 19, 2022, 12:42:32 AM
Will you fucking stop this nonsense. Just go gamble elsewhere, how hard can it be. Or if you insist gambling on devans' site, abide by his rules.

I have never made a scam accusation

LOL, yeah and I'm the Pope.
872  Economy / Reputation / Re: Feedback reference for yahoo on: July 18, 2022, 11:15:17 PM
@suchmoon, how to you copy and paste an entire feedback please?

I use my browser extension: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5224821

Otherwise (and the way I did it before the extension) I have a template saved as a text file, so I would copy-paste that, and then copy paste relevant bits from the feedback page:

Code:
[table]
[tr][td] [/td][td]__NAME_GOES_HERE__[/td]
[td]    [/td][td]__DATE_GOES_HERE__[/td]
[td]    [/td][td][url=__REFERENCE_URL_GOES_HERE__]Reference[/url][/td]
[td]    [/td][td][color=red][b][i]__FEEDBACK_TEXT_GOES_HERE__[/i][/b][/color][/td][/tr]
[/table]

This is for negative trust. The color/b/i tags would have to be changed for neutral and positive (just "i" for neutral and just "b" for positive).
873  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 18, 2022, 09:23:39 PM
These facts would immediately convince us that it was Ukraine that attacked peaceful Russia! Smiley

Russian tanks were peacefully heading to Lisbon via Berlin but Ukraine got in the way. True story.
874  Economy / Reputation / Re: Feedback reference for yahoo on: July 18, 2022, 09:17:13 PM
First I thought to leave a red tag (same as he did) then changed mind because leaving red will be completely a misuse of current trust rating. Edited

Don't forget to complete your quest by ~yahoo62278 in your trust list. I'd at least like you to look like you have a clue.
It does not bother me anymore. You should be happy that I did not use my DT status against you that I did not paint your wall red.

You're not in DT.
875  Economy / Reputation / Re: Feedback reference for yahoo on: July 18, 2022, 07:53:46 PM
In the feedback page we do not have option to create discussion. Following that setting, whatever comment left on the feedback page - if anyone wants to defend then they usually create a new thread or continue in any existing thread which is related to the case (like this thread). I did not want to hijack the topic to post off-topic.

Right, but you already created a thread, why not leave it open instead of making people look for context elsewhere? Now here's what happens: someone sees a trust rating on yahoo, they follow the reference link (possibly months/years from now when the memory of this current dispute has faded), and there is only your opinion in a locked thread. That's kinda misleading. It would be more fair to leave it open at least for a couple of pages so that yahoo and/or others can respond, then you could lock if it starts getting off rails.

Meanwhile the glorious armed forces of Russia have successfully used a SAM against their own Su-34.

877  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777, Bitlucy and long story in brief on: July 18, 2022, 05:41:04 PM
Another drama begin Red tag reference for yahoo I don't know why this kind thread need to be opened and it's a locked thread where he don't have any interest with other people view regarding his thread. I think it's should be solved personal and not trying to attack each other.

It says "red tag" in the thread but the actual trust rating is neutral:

2022-07-18    Reference    Can not be trusted. Using trust system for their own benefit.
1. Slandering.
2. Wants to exchange negative feedback.

But using a locked thread (although "legal" for trust ratings unlike e.g. for flags) is a dick move to say the least. It would be better to point it to the actual post that triggered the rating (or an archive thereof), or at least have an open thread for it.
878  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 18, 2022, 11:29:21 AM
Regarding the words of Putin, could you point out please a specific quote where, in your opinion, Putin denies the Ukrainian nation? Because I skimmed through the transcript of Putin’s speech of February 24, 2022 and found only such phrases about Ukrainians there:

Sorry, wrong speech, it was the one a couple of days earlier (on the topic of ORDLO "recognition" I think) that had some nonsense about Lenin creating Ukraine, and Ukrainians having no tradition of statehood.

In refutation of your statements, in Putin's speeches on July 12, 2021 and March 3, 2022, there were phrases that Russians and Ukrainians are one people.

And what exactly do you think "one people" means for Ukrainians? Particularly those who don't want to be "one people" with Putin's Russia and want to be their own sovereign nation?

As for "denazification", it doesn't define all the inhabitants of Ukraine as neo-Nazis.

Actions of Russian forces (and Kremlin trolls on this board too) is what matters, not whether they explicitly said "every Ukrainian is a nazi". When civilians get killed, they claim it's an Azov military base or training camp or some shit like that.
879  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 15, 2022, 09:21:43 PM
Do the Western media talk about the shelling of cities by Ukrainian troops on civilians with the help of Western artillery, for example, which was yesterday in Donetsk?

Come on, it's not even proper whataboutism, if you really think that killing civilians could be justified by the other side doing the same. Donetsk is Ukraine. If you wanted to present an "equivalent" example of evil Ukrainians invading and bombing Russia the same way Putin's army invaded and bombed Ukraine, you gotta find some story about a Ukrainian missile hitting a supermarket in Pskov.

Here's the thing though. Many things in this invasion point to a systematic attempt to destroy and/or oppress Ukrainians as a nation - from Putin's war declaration speech denying even the existence of such nation, to the entire narrative of "denazification", which basically defines every Ukrainian as a nazi.

There is no "equivalent" systematic attempt from Ukraine to destroy Russians as a nation. At most they want Russian forces to leave Ukrainian territory. Twist it all you want but the aggressor is Russia.  No "what about" here.
880  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: July 14, 2022, 10:01:08 PM

Russian missiles struck a city in central Ukraine on Thursday, killing at least 23 people and wounding more than 100 others, Ukrainian authorities said. Ukraine’s president accused Russia of deliberately targeting civilians in locations without military value.

Officials said Kalibr cruise missiles fired from a Russian submarine in the Black Sea struck a medical center, stores and residential buildings in Vinnytsia, a city 268 kilometers (167 miles) southwest of the capital, Kyiv. Vinnytsia region Gov. Serhiy Borzov said Ukrainian air defenses downed two of the four incoming Russian missiles.

National Police Chief Ihor Klymenko said only six bodies had been identified so far, while 39 people were still missing. Three children younger than 10 where among the dead. Of the 66 people hospitalized, five remained in critical condition while 34 sustained severe injuries, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said.

But #totallynotgenocide, right?
