Well another quiet Day with -7.64% and 133 Blocks. Run rate has been tracking neatly between -4% & -5% and if we continue as we are then that's probably where we will end up. Your temps are above the safety failsafe, but you have no mining done at all. Normally you'll mine a bit before it goes to failsafe mode. Try spinning your fan to full speed and try the Kano pool i recommended. Edit: I see you set your fan to 100%, you typically don't do that, set it to 80%. |

Got word from the seller that he is willing to take $23K for the whole lot including the 120 PSUs. PSUs alone can be easily sold for more than $50+ on ebay etc.
I'd take a couples of 1300 G2's if they were 50$+ish each. Somehow seeing how you're having so much trouble selling the S5's, this might be a hard sell as well. |

It could easily be 10 of those containers that got burn-in testing, that would explain the hash in a pretty simple and clean manner. But the weird conspiracy theories are more fun to day dream about...  It is crazy to think that the bitcoin network has the hashrate equivalent ~100 of those containers. Kinda, but those are big containers, with tons of chips etc. I think the insides are tons of racks and everything is submerged. Must be a pain to replace defective hardware lol. Each container is like one small datacenter. |

I dont think you should use static ip, you should use static DHCP lease. Anyways, the screenshot you uploaded doesnt work. It show a broken image link. Maybe re-up so i can get a better idea. Also i'd say try to mine at Kano pool; https://www.kano.is/Its easy to setup and will let us know if its just you not using the right pool url/pw. You may also simply want to mine there, as well. |

I never saw it only read about itEven if it was an s-5 farm that was converting to s-7's and it scored a 1 cent 3 week contract around Chinese holiday Jan 22 to Feb 14 It would need to be 1 x 1.15 = 1.15 th 10 x 1.15 = 11.5 th 100 x 1.15 = 115th 1000 x 1.15 = 1150th or 1.15 ph 10000 x 1.15 = 11500th or 11.50 ph 100000 x 1.15 = 115000th or 115.00 ph so 100,000 s-5's would be an amazing farm. I do not think that is true I think the missing 100ph is something else. I can scale 100000 s-5s' in my minds eye if they were all in 1 long row. they would be about 8 inches wide for each one or 66000 feet or 13 miles so say the ware house had two sets of shelves with 3 rows of s-5s each it would be 11,000 feet or 2 miles . so my thoughts are whatever was powered off was not s-5s in 1 spot. I'm not sure where Tupsu's crap attitude comes from.. It's an interesting offer but the economics don't work for me, however I wish you well with it and give you credit for trying something fairly creative.. Its not really creative. Its the 4th "Send me your miners for free, i'll give you a tiny amount of money back" offer i've seen in the last month. If you were to send your miners for a hosting solution, you really don't need and additional person taking a cut from the small profit the miner would generate in the first place. You can reduce the noise, but not really sound proof it. If you're in a cool environment, you can set the fan speed to 30%-40%. And if the noise is uneven, something might be wrong with the fan. If you want it to be silent, you're going to have it hosted somewhere else. However you could further reduce the noise by putting it in a acoustic panel box or isolated vinyl tube. |

Well just thought I'd update this seeing as I started it.
Cleaned out the 2 S3's I've got with a small brush and a vacuum cleaner. Both intake sides of the heatsinks were pretty clogged up with dust, so were the gaps around the fan motors.
Just got them up and running and after a few minutes they are already running 2-3 degrees cooler and seem to run quieter too seeing as the fan speeds have dropped around 200rpm (so the gui says anyway).
Ill update again in a couple of days to see if the hashrate has been affected.
Should be the same, that sound pretty much in par from what happen whenever i clean any kinf of miner and even my GPU's when i clean them after they've collected some dust. I enjoy the noise drop a lot. |

Hmm my miners are still going haywire, starts mining, then they all go crazy. Very little hashrate going through even though i have valid failovers. Edit: Looks okay now for me. |

I wasnt exactly aware they had waste problem but now that i think about it, it make sense. But i think the big problem with China is the air pollution. At this rate many of them will die of air poisoning or they will have to all work around with air filters. This won't help. |

How will you verify that the miner is in good condition? Also, where are you located? New account and you send him miner before he pays..... interesting lol He says he will pay first after the miner is verified. But he says he has to verify the miner first. Which means that sound a bit contradicting. Hence why i'm asking clarifications. |
