861  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Feb 19 to Mar 3? picks are closed.... prize = 0.2 btc on: March 01, 2016, 08:07:10 AM
Well another quiet Day with -7.64% and 133 Blocks. Run rate has been tracking neatly between -4% & -5% and if we continue as we are then that's probably where we will end up. However usually as soon as I say something like that things change.  Smiley

Rich

Well good game, i'm glad to having lost by overshooting by that much. 2 Weeks of mining at -X% is great News.

the static ip works because i pinged a website. i could be it overheating?? but i dont know

Your temps are above the safety failsafe, but you have no mining done at all. Normally you'll mine a bit before it goes to failsafe mode. Try spinning your fan to full speed and try the Kano pool i recommended.

Edit: I see you set your fan to 100%, you typically don't do that, set it to 80%.
863  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 60 batch 1 KNC Neptunes (Canada) with or w/o EVGA 1300 PSUs on: March 01, 2016, 08:00:33 AM
Got word from the seller that he is willing to take $23K for the whole lot including the 120 PSUs. PSUs alone can be easily sold for more than $50+ on ebay etc.

I'd take a couples of 1300 G2's if they were 50$+ish each.

Somehow seeing how you're having so much trouble selling the S5's, this might be a hard sell as well.

865  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Include my transaction in a block, 0.5BTC reward on: March 01, 2016, 03:41:43 AM
I have a transaction I want confirmed asap, so I'm willing to reward a miner/pool 0.5 BTC who can include it

Maybe ask Kano there;
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg14055518;topicseen#msg14055518

And its useless to ask this without posting the TXID.
866  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 01, 2016, 03:32:58 AM
It seem I wiil make a manual payments for this weeks as Marco said.

What about last week?  It did not pay for it. The week of 2-17 though 2-24 there was no payments.

This week 2-24 though 3-2 on this week is second week your talking about.   We still need manual for already passed week.

Yes, about due for 2 payments now + some payments forgot when we swapped the bot. Already PM'ed both of you several time about it.
867  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Feb 19 to Mar 3? picks are open ... prize = 0.2 btc on: March 01, 2016, 02:03:22 AM
It could easily be 10 of those containers that got burn-in testing, that would explain the hash in a pretty simple and clean manner.  But the weird conspiracy theories are more fun to day dream about...  Tongue

It is crazy to think that the bitcoin network has the hashrate equivalent ~100 of those containers.

Kinda, but those are big containers, with tons of chips etc. I think the insides are tons of racks and everything is submerged. Must be a pain to replace defective hardware lol. Each container is like one small datacenter.

Question:

https://blockchain.info/de/search?search=b0e64ea33728854cc76cdbd1c1ceb5da412242acefb84c03b6c5e9eb1bcc6d33

Answer:

Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: The Maximum number of outputs in a single transaction is 250

 Huh

Ignore this, blockchain ALWAYS say this and means absolutely nothing. Once the payment is confirmed in a block this goes away.

EDIT: By always I mean to those payments that are over the 250 limit they decided to make up.

Use blocktrail;

869  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer s7 beeping / not connecting to the pool on: March 01, 2016, 12:08:51 AM
could it be how i set up the static ip?

I dont think you should use static ip, you should use static DHCP lease. Anyways, the screenshot you uploaded doesnt work. It show a broken image link. Maybe re-up so i can get a better idea. Also i'd say try to mine at Kano pool;
https://www.kano.is/

Its easy to setup and will let us know if its just you not using the right pool url/pw.

You may also simply want to mine there, as well.
870  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Feb 19 to Mar 3? picks are open ... prize = 0.2 btc on: March 01, 2016, 12:06:44 AM
it has not come back yet.-------- good
Yup, and I'm with you hoping that it never comes back, but it is/was out there so...

It's crazy to think just how much space 100PH worth of gear would take up and the type of utility infrastructure that has to exist to support it.  For it to be here one minute and gone the next, there is for sure a big story there that we're not getting any of.

well there was some twitter buzz that a Chinese farm was caught stealing power.

I never saw it only read about it

Even if it was an s-5 farm that was converting to s-7's  and it scored a 1 cent 3 week contract around Chinese holiday  Jan 22 to Feb 14

It would need to be

          1 x 1.15 =        1.15 th
        10 x 1.15 =      11.5 th
      100 x 1.15 =     115th
    1000 x 1.15 =     1150th or    1.15 ph
  10000 x 1.15 =   11500th or  11.50 ph
100000 x 1.15 = 115000th or 115.00 ph

so 100,000 s-5's would be an amazing farm.

I do not think that is true I think  the missing 100ph is something else.

I can scale 100000 s-5s' in my minds eye if they were all in 1 long row. they would be about 8 inches wide for each one  or 66000 feet or 13 miles

so say the ware house had two sets of shelves with 3 rows of s-5s  each  it would be 11,000 feet or 2 miles . so my thoughts are whatever was powered off was not s-5s in 1 spot.

Maybe 20 warehouses of s-5's scattered about china

These?
http://bitfury.com/products#container-datacenter

Because i don't really think there would be that many S5's going offline in the first place. And if they were in China, they would still be really profitable to run.
871  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB (over time)] Old bulk gear on: February 29, 2016, 11:50:52 PM
If you have old (but not too old) gear - I'm interested in splitting mining revenue 50/50 for three months if you ship it to a trusted third party hoster, then I'll own the gear after that - I'll take care of the bills with the hoster.

Drop me a line. I'm thinking SP3Xs, S5s etc.

S5 earns for 3 months in the best case 0.27 BTC (in fact, much less) , what do I need to share with you.

I get in  my hands 0.135 BTC for S5 (in fact, much less)

How stupid do you think I am ?

Buy from me S5, and ship it where you want.

I cover the power and use a trusted hoster. If someone is willing to pay you more than the S5 will mine, obviously you should take their money.

I'm not sure where Tupsu's crap attitude comes from.. It's an interesting offer but the economics don't work for me, however I wish you well with it and give you credit for trying something fairly creative..

Its not really creative. Its the 4th "Send me your miners for free, i'll give you a tiny amount of money back" offer i've seen in the last month. If you were to send your miners for a hosting solution, you really don't need and additional person taking a cut from the small profit the miner would generate in the first place.

Assuming this isint yet another "Send me your miners for free" scam.
872  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: February 29, 2016, 09:03:59 PM
I have two S7 coupon (0.05BTC off), if you plan on buying a S7 in the next 2 days, i can donate one or both. They expire in 2-3 days though so you have to be ready to buy some S7 pretty much now.
873  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: s7 antminer sound proof on: February 29, 2016, 09:00:45 PM
hi s7 very noisy....can i know how can i do the sound proof for the s7 ?
and s7 hv sound like *wong* wong* like this..

guide me pls... thx

You can reduce the noise, but not really sound proof it. If you're in a cool environment, you can set the fan speed to 30%-40%. And if the noise is uneven, something might be wrong with the fan.

If you want it to be silent, you're going to have it hosted somewhere else.

However you could further reduce the noise by putting it in a acoustic panel box or isolated vinyl tube.
874  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Periodical Cleaning of Antminers on: February 29, 2016, 08:28:33 PM
Well just thought I'd update this seeing as I started it.

Cleaned out the 2 S3's I've got with a small brush and a vacuum cleaner. Both intake sides of the heatsinks were pretty clogged up with dust, so were the gaps around the fan motors.

Just got them up and running and after a few minutes they are already running 2-3 degrees cooler and seem to run quieter too seeing as the fan speeds have dropped around 200rpm (so the gui says anyway).

Ill update again in a couple of days to see if the hashrate has been affected.

Should be the same, that sound pretty much in par from what happen whenever i clean any kinf of miner and even my GPU's when i clean them after they've collected some dust. I enjoy the noise drop a lot. Smiley
875  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [25 PH] ** 5x AVALON6 GIVEAWAY ** Kano CKPool (kano.is) [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,JP on: February 29, 2016, 09:09:21 AM
yeah me too i think kano Defibrillated it

Hmm my miners are still going haywire, starts mining, then they all go crazy. Very little hashrate going through even though i have valid failovers.

Edit: Looks okay now for me.

Only my Avalon6's didnt reconnect, as they went idle as both of my pools went down.
877  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Feb 19 to Mar 3? picks are closed.... prize = 0.2 btc on: February 29, 2016, 02:04:15 AM
China is building the largest waste-to-energy plant in the world - It will turn a third of Shenzhen's trash into energy every single day.  http://www.sciencealert.com/china-is-building-the-largest-waste-to-energy-plant-in-the-world

I speculate China is only going to be getting better and better in future if they do things like this.  Largest trash to energy... talk about a cool idea.

I wasnt exactly aware they had waste problem but now that i think about it, it make sense. But i think the big problem with China is the air pollution. At this rate many of them will die of air poisoning or they will have to all work around with air filters.

This won't help.
878  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pics of your home mining rigs if you will! on: February 29, 2016, 01:49:32 AM
Hello all of you! I am working on a blog about bitcoin for a terminology class in university, and I would like to have permission to post some pics of your mining rigs. I can't simply search for pics as I need to give credit to the pic's owner, so, if some of you would be so gracious to, please send me pics of your rigs! Thanks.

In case the mods don't like you starting another thread for this. The main one is here;
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=766998.1240

I don't think people will mind, but you can always ask there.
879  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: I want buy used S7 on: February 28, 2016, 05:31:19 PM
I want buy used S7, acceptable price is 900$ per 1 unit

I am ready pay first then you will ship miner for me, but I need verify that miner in good condition before I sent money.

How will you verify that the miner is in good condition? Also, where are you located?
New account and you send him miner before he pays..... interesting lol

He says he will pay first after the miner is verified. But he says he has to verify the miner first. Which means that sound a bit contradicting. Hence why i'm asking clarifications.
880  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [FREE] S7 Coupons x 7 on: February 28, 2016, 05:30:22 PM
I will send one to each of the first 7 who post their receiver ID.

Accounts that are new or just recently created in last 2 months will not receive one.

Philipma1957

If you need more i'll give you mines. I only need 2 but its not like i'm going to buy S7's right now.
