861  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin ETF have any impact on the bitcoin price? on: January 15, 2024, 03:30:05 AM
I do hope that it's a negative impact but only for the short term though, I do feel like ETF will be a good gateway for many people to know more about bitcoin because they're definitely going to be introduced to those new people by their investment guys that this is going to be a really one to invest into because of the potential that it can give to them when it comes to profit, the reason probably for the decrease in the price is probably because these companies that got approved by the SEC is planning to make an opportunity to make more money for themselves maybe because they've bought a lot of bitcoins recently and they think they might be able to bring down the price and then buy back in a much lower price.
862  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID is dead, "long live the new COVID". World economy get ready? on: January 15, 2024, 02:54:09 AM
Who knows what else will be planned with this new outbreak. Everything seems very boring because the motifs used are almost the same. But I hope this outbreak doesn't last long. Because this will indeed damage the economic system which is just about to recover.

Because Covid 19 has been attacking the world for almost 3 years. Apart from that, the impact felt is very large. So I think if this outbreak spreads, it seems like the world economy really doesn't know what it's going to look like.
That's a hopeful thing for you to say but look at what happened with COVID, it got so bad because the people that's in-charge of the immigration and the containment of the contagious disease is not doing the right thing and they're instead hiding the data and the truth to the world and this will be the thing that's going to happen with this one too, hopefully this isn't as bad as COVID but this disease is definitely going to go overseas because of the incompetence. We would never know what the economy would look like but I have an idea and I can help paint you a picture of what it looks like, just double the negative effects that COVID had with the economy and you can pretty much see what's going to happen if this becomes another global pandemic.
863  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the us dollar might crash significantly on: January 15, 2024, 02:18:06 AM
You forgot the part that the US can always print more dollars to fund their wars and stuff, the war on Ukraine is already a resounding success for the companies that manufactures radars and new weapon systems so there's no way that they'll crash, the US government wouldn't mind adding a few more trillion dollars of debt to their name in the name of being the strongest superpower nation in the country. They'll continue to be like that to keep the dollar as the money that will turn this world around. Global politics is complicated and what you're saying might not be true and what I might not be saying is true too but we can't be sure but I do know that it's definitely difficult to crash the US dollar or even crumble the US government.
864  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education and why it should be a priority. on: January 15, 2024, 01:33:23 AM
We need to talk about the image above first, as much as we all agree on the fact that financial education should be a thing and it should be a mandatory thing for all schools so students will not be going out into the real world ignorant of all the financial stuff that they'll encounter in their adulting life, we also have to emphasize on the fact that we need to be able to make them not get bored about all of this, we all know how an average student does in classes, they easily get bored, they're edgy and they don't see the point of education so before we can talk about the addition of financial education to the curriculum, we first need to reinstate the love of children for learning and there's a lot of easy ways that you can do that like paying teachers, or giving out seminars to parents or would be parents to tell them that they need to make sure that they're instating to their children the love for learning new things.
865  Economy / Economics / Re: How will the BRICS currency influence Bitcoin? on: January 14, 2024, 09:56:03 AM
To some degree they'll probably move the bitcoin market but they're still in infancy so I don't think that they're going to influence too much but I think they'll affect the world market even more than the bitcoin market so it's not really a problem for us anytime soon.
If USA didn't exist or hadn't meddled in that region, the conflict there wouldn't have gotten to this stage and Japan hadn't been nuked and occupied all these years not allowing them to even have a half decent military so they wouldn't have been in any danger to begin with Tongue
If US didn't stop the rampage of Japan in the Pacific theatre, there's a possibility that Korea wouldn't even be a thing anymore because Japan would've kept a foothold there for so long that we would've just accepted that Korea is just a part of the Imperial Japan. I feel like there's been a lot of apocalypse events that would've happened if the US didn't interfere at some level, even if we were to say that they're an opportunist it's still a good thing that they somehow intervened, I mean imagine a world rife of communists.
866  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 14, 2024, 09:21:07 AM
The side hustles that you've mentioned needs someone to be dedicated for someone to be able to earn that kind of money, if that's the money that a newbie virtual assistant will be earning then I wouldn't be wasting my life away at my desk job when I could just get in there as quickly as I can and get that much money even when I'm still a newbie. Although most of them are good except for the watching ads part, remember that you need to put in some effort in all of them to be competent at them and make you earn a decent amount of doing them, remember this too, too much side hustle isn't worth it because you should give yourself the time that doesn't involve moneymaking because your sanity is a useful thing to have when you want to be competent with all the jobs that you're getting yourself into.
867  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto investment vs real estate investment : Which one more dependable? on: January 14, 2024, 08:42:09 AM
Real estate is definitely more dependable because you've got a property that will surely appreciate as time goes on and even if there's a bubble, the chances of you keeping that title for the estate will still have some chances of you being able to keep it and you can live on it or make it an AirBnB to make you more money. Crypto is a good investment but dependable isn't the right word for it because of how volatile the market is and how there's about 90% volume of shitcoin in the market and that's why I do believe that crypto isn't a dependable investment but don't let that discourage you from investing because you're going to make a lot of profit in crypto but you will never know when and what cryptocurrency that you're hodling that will make you that profit, stick to bitcoin if you're a newbie.
868  Economy / Economics / Re: Vitalik Buterin's Financial Advice on: January 14, 2024, 08:02:18 AM
I aspire to do the saving part, I spend almost all of my paycheck on bills and accessories for my tech so I don't have a lot of money or should I say chances to save leftover money from that paycheck, that's why I have a problem with saving, good thing though that I don't really have the impulse to spend my bitcoins for the frivolous stuff that I buy with the fiat that I'm getting. It's nice that Vitalik didn't emphasize diversification too much because I believe that he knows that too much diversification is bad for you and it's also a good reminder for many people to not take this advice too much as if these are the literal words of God, they might seem straightforward and obvious but it's hard to follow it to heart.
869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 14, 2024, 04:58:19 AM
~
you will hear a lot of weird stuffs inside an offline casino and yet, people keep on going inside. so this story won't deter these gamblers to try their hands on the games inside. after all, who would know that the chair you are sitting at have been peed?
The thing that you're talking about where I'll be hearing and seeing weird stuff is the reason why I said that the charm of offline or physical casinos is alluring to me to the point that I disagree that it's not a reason for not going there, this will definitely not a deterrence for gamblers or the patrons of physical casinos because this isn't a likely occurrence and even if your concern that someone has peed on that chair, you wouldn't really care if it was cleaned right?
870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 13, 2024, 09:40:33 AM
That's not a reason to avoid casinos my guy, I believe that's more of a reason to visit one. This kind of stuff that you're seeing is probably just a tip of the iceberg and it's probably a rare occurrence that I think is a reason why you should visit those casinos, it's kind of like witnessing a rainbow, you rarely see it but when you do, you're filled with awe. Maybe that's just me though, I thrive and have fun when there's chaos around me and something weird is happening, as my Mama used to say, get all the experience that you can get and all the opportunities that come your way.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 13, 2024, 09:07:36 AM
If you really care to know that in third world countries where there is high rate of unemployment the jobless youths had resorted to gambling to make ends meet, of course dressing corporately to gambling shop is just a camouflage just to show that they are working, I believe a lot of them are earning decent income from their gambling activities in as much as they are not addicted to it and the fact that they didn't engaged in any crime to earn their income I don't see any thing bad in their gambling activities while in the gambling shops they have the opportunity of sharing tips, analyze games and share ideas all in a bid to win reasonable amount of money to sustain their lives.
You don't know that they're making money with their gambling just because they've got a suit and they wear it everyday and that they're skipping work because they wanted to spend their day gambling. The problem with the third world countries is the fact that most of their problems can easily be solved if they elected the right officials to manage the country and not steal their taxes to make themselves richer. You're not seeing or you're ignorant on the implications of being a gambler for the long term? That's the only reason why someone can't see why these people aren't damaging themselves and the people around them.

If only people have known this knowledge and what gambling should be when they're introduced to it, I feel like if it did happen, we would probably see less poor people putting their hard earned money to those risky machines that will never give them any wins in their lifetime no matter how much they try. Not taking it as a job should be a common sense though, I feel like if you're someone that uses gambling as a means to get a steady money, you're wasting your time and you're just an addict that's in denial.
872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Long-term profitable strategies on: January 13, 2024, 06:58:15 AM
I don't think that there's going to be any kind of long-term profitability when it comes to gambling and to be honest, it's difficult to do that especially if you consider all of the losses that you've got from the start of what you considered as your gambling career. But if there's really a way to do that, I do think that either you involve yourself in skill development on PVP games, that's where almost no money is likely to go to the house as you're up against a player or you can practice doing card counting at the most subtle way so you can cheat the casino in blackjack other games that involves luck though, it's difficult to say that you can get a profit out of the house there so stick to the ones that you've got more favored house edge. Some are saying that you should also consider time management but I do believe that if you want to make money in gambling, you need to dedicate a lot of time so you aren't cut short, treat it like it's your 9 to 5 job.
873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites promotion at espncricinfo on: January 13, 2024, 05:35:25 AM
I think that when a website hosts an advertisement, they don't have any control on over what website they're promoting especially if it's on Google ads so the websites that you're talking could be running ads already but it's Google that's choosing which shows up I think. It's probably got to do with algorithm though and which one's paying more money than the other casino or betting websites. I might be wrong on the ad thing though but I do recall that's how they do it back then.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What ugly incident or occurrence have you ever experienced in gambling? on: January 13, 2024, 04:02:18 AM
That's definitely one of the saddest moments in someone's life, that multiplier together with the money that they've put on that game is definitely going to be something that will turn around the life of that person but then as misfortune would have it, it denied that person that moment to cash out. Has the person checked if that's the device that's got the problem or it was the website, this is just my conspiracy theory or mindless thought but I do believe that there's a possibility that the website's got something to do with it you know, I don't know if they can do that but that's a possibility. Thankfully, this hasn't happened to me before and I hope that there's not a possibility that it can happen to me.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 13, 2024, 02:50:11 AM
Obviously that's what's going to happen when you're addicted but if you're just an occasional gambler that doesn't have a consistent gambling schedule or doesn't even gamble for a month or two and then gamble the next month then there's no problem with that, it's not like you're gambling a lot of money in that occasional gambling session right? Plus if you're like that then it's given already that you've got self-control because you're gambling on a whim. The key to this thing, addict or not, is for you to talk to your family about this stuff, be open about your gambling activities and the reason why you're doing it, that's the only way that they can help you anyway.
876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you see a gambling review website that has its own gambling website? on: January 13, 2024, 02:13:53 AM
When money is on the horizon, the concept of ethics often fades into the background. People are ready to do anything for money; including writing fake reviews and deleting scam accusation. When someone plans to make a context page it is hard to stay independent, hard to resist the lust of monetizing your website. I think in I can trust a gambling review site only if I am ready to lose some money doing casino test, as I can fully trust only myself and my experience.
It's sad but that's the truth, ethics is intangible while cold hard cash is real as it can be and there's more personal consequences and implications to having no money than having no morality. That's why it's our duty that if we ever see something wrong, we have the responsibility to correct it and at the same time makes it so that there's no way that evil or immorality triumphs, the only reason that's the other way around is because the good men don't do anything. It's not really that difficult to do a page where it's not monetized especially if you've got a principle that you follow to detail, sometimes that's how things should be, that you should be incorruptible through the face of temptations, there's nothing wrong in monetization through advertisement though, it's how you do the advertisement that matters and if they're the casino that reached out to you then they don't have a right to complain about your demands to advertise their casino and their services.
877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A brief advice for the newbie gamblers. on: January 12, 2024, 08:50:10 AM
My only advice to newbie gamblers that makes sense no matter what is "Just play for fun, don't worry too much about what you could win and what you've lost while gambling and remember you don't have an infinite amount of money." When that's your mindset or take my advice to the heart you won't ever get frustrated gambling and end up having to gamble even more because you're frustrated and you will always know what your priority is which makes you less likely to be addicted. But don't just take my word for what it is, remember that you're an individual and that you need to be able to think for yourself and assess if this advice works for you or not. We shouldn't give out too much advice to the newbies too, I think that there's some lessons that need to be learned in a way that you will experience the lesson itself, like in karate or judo, you can't just be going on with theories and watching how others perform a move, you also need to be able to do it yourself.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sure match prediction on: January 12, 2024, 07:35:52 AM
1.70-2.50 is quite big if you can win consistently but I'm sure you've experienced defeat so you shouldn't say sure match or what you mean by sure match is fixed match, and usually bookmakers will start to suspect accounts that can continue to win because that's something which is impossible, and usually fixed matches are only on small sporting events so bookmakers will be able to detect things like this easily, so when you say you have 8 years of experience in other post without problems it's quite strange and I doubt it.
Yes it's quite big of an odds but I have some reservations regarding that because it's too good to be true in my opinion, a consistent odds no matter and the chances of winning the bet is much higher, @blckhawk and @adultcrypto have some doubts with this post and it's a valid one because there's no way that there's nothing wrong with this one right? It's good that almost everyone in the thread's being suspicious and cautious about this post, I would be too because of how attracting the offer is, not to mention that it's also involving Telegram which we all know is a scammer's paradise.
879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 12, 2024, 06:23:20 AM
~
Well, it is difficult to accept things like this, it is natural that mentally unstable people should not even go near a casino, because it is obvious that things can be very dangerous, in this order of ideas we must see gambling as one of the options that It is very favorable that it be done in other ways, for example a person who is an adult must know well his condition, so gambling, casinos, sports betting, there are activities that they cannot do, as well as taking care of children, Ancions are things that should not be allowed, worse as we are in a society where now freedoms are very different from what they were before because there are many things that go overlooked, but in the specific case of a casino a person like that, what can cause It is because there are many crises, and that is what is dangerous, because it is impossible to say what can happen or how they can do to have a better vision of this in the casinos.

A mentally unstable person does not bring anything good, they will always bring problems to everything, the more they focus on things that they should not handle, it is risky for anyone, first of all for the person who is like that because their control will not be 100%, the first thing is to know. What will become evident is that you can suffer the money to go away very quickly, and it can also happen that things when you try to be with someone accompanied, you will notice that anxiety can be one of the things that attack you, then this is not good, It is not viable and it is not safe, so things are difficult to turn out well, a person like that has to live with many rules, and if, in case he plays in a casino, he must allocate a balance willing to lose and that it be little, Because we don't know what actions you should have when betting because if you bet on in-all the same, all your money could go and that's not the idea, things must be well controlled, well played and all the pros and cons must be observed.
If it's natural then that means that it's easy to accept, they've got some mental problems that need addressing, what more red flags do we need to stop someone like that from entering the premises that might cause a big disturbance that can affect your other customers? Should that mentally unstable person have a meltdown first and hurt themselves and others for us to do something? I don't think that's right because if there's a way that something can be prevented from happening, there's no way that the prevention isn't done because some deemed it wrong and that we try not to judge other people. You've said it already in your 2nd paragraph, that they don't bring anything good so why still have some hesitation to be in agreement with me that they shouldn't be allowed?
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woes of gambling on: January 12, 2024, 04:49:55 AM
Take casino games for example especially jackpot casino games there is no way you can tell me that all of them are structured in such a way that they randomly always make money for the house if you ask me gambling is a fraud that has been used to trick people into believing that their choices matter it does not everyone that gambles is just there to make money for the casino unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about human nature 💔💔💔
Is it that hard for you to understand? The house has a capital for rewards so say they've put in a capital of 500k USD and that's their jackpot prize now they can price their tickets or the plays on that particular game to about 2 USD and people will think that it's such a cheap price to play and have a chance to win that much, now if there's 500k people that thinks this way then they're netting a 1m USD profit and in that process, the jackpot might not still even been won by any because the casinos are the ones that's setting it up so the chances of winning is so low. Gambling isn't a fraud but rigging your games so no one wins, is a fraud, gambling is a business at heart, it supplies the demand of the people to take risks.
