881  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost my coins on: November 03, 2023, 12:00:21 AM
If it was sent to an unknown address then you don't have any chance to recover back your coins.

But if you can confirm that you sent your coins to the right address then you can report the issue to Coinbase because sometimes their wallet is buggy it happened to me before. Reporting it to Coinbase fixed my issue.

Adding this get the TXID hash from your wallet and check it to any explorer to analyze the transaction if you sent it to the right address. You can use this https://mempool.space/
882  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance bitcoin wallet maintenance on: November 02, 2023, 10:56:02 PM
I'm just about to deposit BTC recently I just stopped depositing after I found this thread but right now the deposit for BTC and segwit is confirmed available and working fine.

Actually, I didn't get any announcement from them no notification on their app about this it seems they only announce this on Twitter.

If you don't mind would you share what coins/tokens you are trying to withdraw and exchange it for money?
We can maybe able to give you a good exchange for those coins/tokens if the P2P exchange doesn't support them.

If you are fine with passing a KYC it seems you can able to use Binance exchange to exchange your coins/tokens under P2P.
885  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which sites to go to gather Crypto information and news? on: November 01, 2023, 01:47:43 PM
Checking every crypto info/news provided above is time-consuming all you need is a news aggregator for those who don't know it collects all news, blog posts, or anything related to Crypto.

The site that I'm talking about is https://cryptopanic.com/ they do also have an app.

A single site is enough for me you don't need to go for all the sites provided above.
886  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Recommendation for multi-crypto software wallets that support BIP-39 passphrase on: November 01, 2023, 01:11:43 PM
Coinomi is fine to me but since it's closed-source this wallet can't be trusted.

If you still looking for other alternative than the above suggestion I think Mycelium also supports multiple coins since you said "at least Bitcoin and Ethereum" then Mycelium support them check the guide below on how.

Sorry, forgot to mention another key requirement which is being a desktop app (or at least browser extension) that can be run on Linux, so Unstoppable Wallet doesn't fit under that requirement.

If that's what you looking for the only wallet that I know is AtomicDex which has open-sourced code but I never tested this wallet.

You don't have any other option but to use a hardware wallet that supports BIP39 with a passphrase like Trezor.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is there any company,a that recycles wallets - 100% honest on: November 01, 2023, 12:56:29 PM
I think what he means by recycle wallets is that a company or website that offers wallet service but it generates the same user's wallet address even if you created a new account it always generates the same wallet address that only the company has access to.

If I'm right I never heard of any company that recycles wallets if you want to get rid of them and don't want anyone to control your wallet then only use non-custodial wallets like Electrum.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to decrypt encrypted private key with password from corrupted wallet on: November 01, 2023, 12:11:09 PM
How would I go about to decrypt the keys I’m familiar with python but I’m just making sure I get all the things together I might need to decrypt.
Do you still have the wallet.dat file?
If you know the password why not try to salvage the wallet.dat file?

If Salvage does not work you can try Pywallet check the guide below

889  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: need advice to reduce noise and monitor asic miner on: October 31, 2023, 02:44:37 PM
I've encountered some issues with running the ASIC miner inside the box. Even with a few adjustments, the temperature is around 45°C, the chips temperature is reaching 80°C, and the max hash rate is limited to 45TH. In comparison, I can achieve 75TH in high-performance mode when the ASIC is outside the box. Unfortunately, the noise has become an issue, and it's audible from a few houses away at night. To deal with the noise I get heat problem, I'm considering adding an inline fan on the input side of the box,If anyone has experience or suggestions on this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I don't think it would work to reduce the temp but I think if you can put an exhaust fan on the end of the duct hose it would help to exhaust hot air out compared to adding a fan on the box but you can try and let see if it would help to reduce the miner temp.
890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to detect a scammer with grabify.link on: October 30, 2023, 11:53:02 PM
Find the IP and what device the scammer used  I think it's useless because the scammer is always using a VPN only a dumb scammer will let you know the IP and device he uses.

Another thing is the guide seems came from this link below.

However, you can still use the IP even if he uses a VPN if you get help from some professional who knows more about tracking they can find what scammer use and request IP logs from the VPN provider.
891  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sent Coin by mistake to wrong address and got them back:) on: October 30, 2023, 08:00:32 PM
I feel lucky that I found the owner of the address and he seems like good person and very reputable on this forum Smiley

It seems this person rat03gopoh has not replied yet here if he did send BTC back to you.
He just recently online 3 hours ago and I believe he will send your BTC soon. You are lucky that it is one of our fellow forum members but if not you won't be able to get your coins back.

Next time triple check the copied/pasted address before sending BTC I experience this sometimes that's why I always check multiple times to make sure it will be sent to the right person.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LastPass hack - move your crypto assets to a more secure place right now! on: October 30, 2023, 07:42:06 PM
I have once backed up my phrase key in an online notepad platform called Evernote. I have used it for a couple of months and after some time my wallet was hacked. Some kind of script or something was implemented in my wallet. Every time I try to deposit any native token like ETH, BNB or BTC, they were automatically sent out to a specific wallet address that belongs to the hacker. After that I have done my research and found out that it is highly risky to keep any backup online.

That's pretty bad for storing sensitive keys any online site or 3rd party password manager always has risk and is vulnerable to any attacks.
I've used Evernote before for SEO purposes but not for storing any passwords or keys it makes your notes public or I think the owner of Evernote reads them.

The best storage for saving your seed backup or private keys digitally is by saving them into an offline device like old phones, encrypted USB flash drive or CD/DVD is also good storage if you want to save your keys for a long-term.
893  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S19 95TH setup on: October 30, 2023, 06:42:59 PM
I hope that you try checking the cable first by switching to another hashboard to confirm if it is just a cable or clean the copper bar with sandpaper as I suggested in my previous post but the sad part you end up sending it for repair.

Next time do some troubleshooting first before sending it for repair because sending it back for repair had a shipping cost.

Anyway, I'd like to give you a link that you can use for troubleshooting in the future and I hope it will be useful in the future if you experience some issues listed from the link below.

894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recover founds old multisig coinbase wallet on: October 29, 2023, 11:52:16 PM
Are you saying you have fund in coinbase multi-sig vault and you are able to withdraw your fund from that just with entering the 2FA code and email verification? How is that possible? As already said, they no longer supports multi-sig vault.
I feel you are confusing coinbase mutli-signature wallet with their custodial wallet.
No there is no email verification but only an approval link but it asks for 2FA, I'm using their vault and I usually use it to save a few sat before it always requires approval in my Coinbase account I can approve the withdrawal from the vault but it is still pending and it needs a 2nd approval by a co-signer/secondary email I receive an email from Coinbase(as a secondary email) and the email asks for my secondary approval by clicking the approve button the vault funds will be out within 24hours and will transfer to the main wallet.

Please check the video I provided above that is how I withdraw funds out from the vault.
895  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Optimizing Armory Wallet Encryption for Password Recovery on: October 29, 2023, 11:40:07 PM
There's no optimized version for the Armory wallet.
If this is all about recovering lost passwords you can try the brute-force method of the BTCrecovery tool that you can download from this link below if you have control of yourwalletname.wallet you can use this tool to brute-force the password.

Read the guide for password recovery below.

896  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: RIP Cryptowat.ch. The once awesome Independent trading terminal is no more. on: October 29, 2023, 11:23:00 PM
You are right, but recently I noticed the limit is now 2 indicators allowed for free accounts, or is it just for my account? I have been on a paid plan, until it expired recently. I am waiting for the Black Friday deals, so I can subscribe annually.
No, mine also has a limit they only give 2 indicators if you add more it will ask for a subscription.

If you want to use it free without a subscription and you have a Binance account you can use the trading view there by changing the chart mode to TradingView it supports more than 2 indicators than waiting for black Friday to subscribe for a 1-year subscription.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recover founds old multisig coinbase wallet on: October 29, 2023, 10:56:52 PM

https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/managing-my-account/other/the-multisig-vault

Coinbase multisig vault is 2 of 3 multi-signature wallet.

One of the keys is owned only by the user. One of them is stored by coinbase and the user has no access to that. One of the keys (which is encrypted) is owned by both coinbase and user.
If you own two of the keys, you must be able to spend your fund without relying on Coinbase and without any need to 2FA or email verification.

It's weird I didn't receive any update about the vault and they never gave me any keys when I set up my vault. My vault was created in 2015 with 2FA and a secondary email they didn't send me any keys for recovery only the primary and secondary email is my backup to recover my vault.
This is weird and now they do have vault recovery on Github that asks for Coinbase, shared, and user xpub keys.

@OP I don't think it would ask for a password because mine only asks for a 2FA code when withdrawing after entering the 2FA it will ask if you gonna approve the transaction or not and then the 2nd email will receive a link to approve the transaction.

Or check this video below how to withdraw from the vault

898  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S19 95TH setup on: October 29, 2023, 10:23:47 PM
I already did that 2 times, hoping what you were suggesting, and every time only 2 boards appeared, 2 & 3. Number 1 is not appearing.
Prior to my first restart, on the GUI, as I saw the hash rate dropping, I checked the boards and number 1 appeared in red with 0 hash. After I restarted the unit the first time, the board #1 did not appear anymore. Only 2 & 3.
It could be, as Dave suggested, that a contact got loose during the transportation, however I am reluctant of opening up the unit as this might void the warranty, so I am waiting for customer support to respond to my messages, and take it from there.

Can you share your miner logs I just want to check the logs if the 1st hashboard is still detected while it's not running properly we can maybe find the issue under the logs and give you some suggestions to try.

I guess that the 1st hashboard might had poor contact with the copper bar cleaning it with sandpaper might solve this.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recover founds old multisig coinbase wallet on: October 29, 2023, 01:02:14 PM
It seems you got an email from a scammer.
Are you sure we talking about Coinbase?
Another thing is why the email from Coinbase said you can only access the vault funds if you have these two keys?

The weird thing is there is no announcement from Coinbase that they are going to terminate Vault Wallet and honestly creating a Vault Wallet does not generate a private key it requires only 2FA and another email as co-signer.

What I guess is you receive an email from a scammer and the scammer might be asking for your backup keys and password.
If they ask then don't send any keys because Coinbae never asks for any sensitive data(like private keys and password).
900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recover founds old multisig coinbase wallet on: October 29, 2023, 12:06:45 PM
I think he talks about the vault wallet from Coinbase and actually, there is no tool that you can use to recover the Coinbase vault.

If your Coinbase account was created in 2016 then to withdraw your funds from the vault is by providing your 2nd email(co-signer).
Based on my experience when I withdraw my funds from the Vault Coinbase emails me on my two emails with a link "Approve withdrawal" You should click approve withdrawal if you want to take your BTC out of the vault.

If you can access your Coinbase account you should be able to withdraw funds from the vault but the problem is if you still have control of your 2nd email?
