881  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 30, 2023, 02:25:18 PM
This is one of the reasons that I like to bet from time to time on freebitco.in as it offers something else besides the regular sportsbooks you have. When I bet on the price for the cyrptocurrencies, I would only bet near the end of the month, but for betting on tennis or soccer matches, this time multiplier can give you a nice bonus.
Unfortunately this time even if you could bet until the day before the end of the month, it would have been hard to guess the price. Because we still don't know if BTC will close the month below or above $30k this month. I hope it will be above 30k because odds are higher (4.32 vs 2.19) and it would let me get some profits but BTC is still remaining at the bottom of $29k currently. You should try Formula One bets too, it's very exciting too.

@babygun indeed wagering on prices is really fun and equally risky, because it’s literally impossible to say where it’ll end due to the multiple factors involvement in determining it’s true value. @Saint-loup currently it’s looking to end just below $29400, and I don’t think it’ll race to $30k today because there’s no big news that can accelerate the prices.

This month was one of the most volatile for betting on bitcoin price or technically other two as well. Damn this is so close call to take.

Even the range 27-30k has 39% bet count while the lower slot has 32%. Im not sure how everyone got distributed so much equally but this itself tells us everyone had wobbling mind while deciding where to put the money.

It’s clear though those who had stakes on the first range are already winner. I highly doubt bitcoin will rise to 30k and above in next 6-7 hours which marks the end up of this month. Smiley

By the way I’m one of the bettor and have fingers crossed for the current price resistance. I know we should be looking at bitcoin rallying upwards but just for next 6-7 hours we can hold it. Lolz.  Tongue
882  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Crisis - Improved, Worsen or still the same in your country (No Change)? on: April 30, 2023, 01:08:07 PM
In India, things are pretty banged up. The natural cycle of different seasons has changed dramatically here. We naturally have three seasons accurately lasting for 4 months every years followed by Summer, Rain, Winter. They were so accurate couple of years back, that if you pick up Indian festivals, belief's, rituals etc., and check them on the local calendars then, they used to predict these cyclic season accurately.

I mean I don't know how to explain this, but sometime you would hear your parents talking about XYZ date in the calendar where there is some changes in the stars alignment etc, to which ancestral calendars have given names, which are able to predict that it's gonna rain on that day or couple of days here and there.

Now, what this all has got to do with the OP?

Well, right now even the digital forecasters are failing rapidly. The news comes that, today it is going to be summer shiny day, and in the afternoon you see it's raining. Getting where I am going with this? That level of changes are happening in my country.

It's remaining in summer. This directly affects the Crop which is under cultivation and has ability to thrive in the summer season with little water. But due to rain everything is getting messed up.

The vegetables, fruits, everything is getting costlier. It's a slow process, but a middle man and poor's can already feel the difference on this.

I would say, it's getting worst here.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: they change the way we handle money and own things ? on: April 29, 2023, 07:26:16 PM
That’s not gonna change anything as of now or in the future either. NFT, DeFi or anything after the bitcoin is just idea that is based on power of blockchain and its real world or virtual applications. It has observed that very small group actually participate in the newer project.

Imagine how high the NFT craze went up in the initial days when we first heard someone selling their digital art for millions of dollars which was one of the first NFT. However, after trend went viral more and more peeps jumped in and started new platforms here and there with thousands of NFT getting listed on them.

Now, if you check then it’s all boring same old thing which no one really talk about unless it’s something way unique and in the news. The gist fades away with the time for everything excluding Bitcoin, that’s King.
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many bills killing crypto on: April 29, 2023, 06:55:06 PM
There you go, “it’s concern of security and cybercrime”.  Yeah why not, whenever government does not find any flaw they would just put it on its security and would give public sentiments like we are passing xyz bill for the financial safety of our nation.

We are definitely not having sound minded peeps in the SEC as well. I don’t understand how they could not decide a binary question-answer of yes or no with ease? What is wrong with the system is they do not want overshadow of bitcoin thus crumbling the governments all around the world due to decentralisation.

There are many middle points through which bills can be passed where both parties would be ok to accept the terms. However, government understand they will lose half of the controlling power in the process.

I don’t know, but there seems even larger support to government from billionaires as well. Everything is conspired about the Bitcoin since it got bigger and bigger.
885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not a get rich quick on: April 29, 2023, 05:59:26 PM
That’s crazy man, he is in for what he did and justice is served. Seriously some peeps have grand opportunities in life but they are screwing it up all the time. This is not just one example of it but there are many more on this forum. I’m seeing couple of threads every week where there are either stories regarding investors getting scammed, someone is using their mums pension money to trade, someone is went so far in loans that they had to suicide because they lost it all in the bear market.

I mean come on, this is highly volatile market and one should not be using money which is taken from lender on interest, or is a public fund or simply not your money.

What life that person could have enjoyed and look at the sad story now.

I better just save up from my salary, my other chores and keep the coins in cold storage. More than happy to wait for it to give me profits.
886  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 29, 2023, 05:09:20 PM
Most of the peeps are confusing or may be associating the word gambling with money only. I think that's because everyone is in the gambling section and seeing casino's everywhere and ultimately falling for the "money" everywhere ideology. Well, gambling is gambling. You can gamble anything; from your life to your house or may be some furniture in the house, or may be your dirt bike. It's just the word that's being used in misleading way.

Now I understand that you want to publish that website to us and it's good that they have some unique ways to trade around it and hopefully it pan out to be fun site for the users.

As long as there's a risk involved and it is some kind of prediction, win or lose type of games, then I would always consider it as a form of gambling.
Sometimes even if it's not directly money as long as it have a value and it is being risk then yes it is gambling.

You are not using your money to gamble so what kind of risk are you referring to?

You should first know what the meaning of gambling is; as long as you're not risking your money for the chance of winning or getting money then it's not gambling, like I said previously it's more like a giveaway (go to games and round) and see them there.
According to me if anything that will have value and bet instead of money then it is consider as a gambling. Not only money is used for gambling nowadays, gambling can also be done with various valuable things. Moreover, even if you earn free money and gamble with that money, it is also gambling. In this regard you may have been earning money for free but it was later treated as your money. If you don't think it as your money, you might not think of it as gambling. But I would totally compare it to gambling.

Exactly. In fact we have seen this happening in the car racing games, or some bars or may be some games where peeps are used to gamble stuff associated with that game as well.
On the other hand, there is always risk. Though it's not money, we are still gambling something that carries monetary value. Definitely if we are going gamble it and lose then we lose, that's the risk. Smiley
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it take to become a Bitcoin investor on: April 29, 2023, 04:43:00 PM
I am not following this trend at all. Why does it really matter if someone needs to call you bitcoin investor or not? Do you need to have a title of that?
I will give it to you. You registered on this forum, you are talking and discussing stuff about the bitcoin, congrats you made it. You are bitcoin investor. Let us be practical, if you really want to achieve a bitcoin investor status then man, get up, go on the adventure of bitcoin. Learn about it, learn how to be perfect Bitcoin hodler. Though there is no competition for true bitcoin investor, you can play it for fun with your friends. However, considering he bought 0.8 btc straight up, he must be keen about Bitcoin adventure and trying out his next profit from the same.

The only best scenario here is, try to get in, merge with bitcoin and tech behind it. Learn and perceive and they adopt to the crypto space accordingly. Forget about whether what you will be called. Focus on the goal.
888  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 28, 2023, 08:54:46 PM
-snip
It's not slowly, but every casino are always can ask you KYC..

It's always on their term & condition, there has some rules in there (In-some case, they could as you KYC) for the case. IMO, If they ir casino ask the "KYC" are in the front after register is good, why? because people will know about these.

99% people are lazy to read.

Yeah and when it comes to gambling most of them would just hit the gallery and checkout which game is making more money for them. That’s all. Ideally we have this habit of losing ourselves from the important parts of site whether it gambling or any other services you take. As long as it doesn’t concerns you financially or may be trick policy wise, no one would care about reading the terms.

Currently, things are getting way messy in the crypto world. More importantly Roobet is gambling site + crypto based payments are accepted site wide so it’s definitely gonna ask you god dam KYC because they themselves have authorities with eagle eye. It’s very simple, if you don’t like KYC then the door is just at the corner.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What a physical Bitcoin could look like? on: April 28, 2023, 08:13:25 PM
I think just by reading the title itself I was like nah this is really bad idea. The thought of even having physical note of bitcoin makes it whole purpose void and disoriented! The digital coin, the online presence and the pseudo anonymous nature would just vaporise away. I know we still have to access it over the internet. We are only going to have barcode and stuff but seriously it makes it more closer to the fiat system. Imagine handing over the bitcoin note to someone. They can easily take your fingerprints and know who was it. I mean speaking ideally, a bitcoin is far better the way Satoshi programmed and imagined in the first place. Let’s focus on its adoption and higher credibility in the future to come.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto (btc) is not for the weak on: April 28, 2023, 07:24:38 PM
It never happened that someone who came to bitcoin world just for fun or may with serious intentions of earning money and left with millions immediately. Frankly, those who are early shifters will never get the drift of entire thing. Crypto space is not something that can make you money overnight. It never work like that due to few of the facts such as volatile nature, gives bitcoin a trendy pattern all the time. However, the profitable domino effect can only be seen over the period of 2-3 year on average. This is close yearly average when bitcoin goes under halving and pump becomes more aggressive.

But this is just one example of cyclic change. Peeps tend to leave the market within 6-12 months so yep, they are falling for the ponzi traps, shitty alts, and unplanned short investments. Definitely they will have to leave it early anyways.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice for invest my first 600$ in altcoins? on: April 27, 2023, 02:36:44 PM
You are already holding good coins in terms of their consistent growth and also solid resistance in the market. That’s BNB and ETH. In fact if you have spare 600 bucks why not buy these coins again to fill up your wallet with another bang for buck! They are literally at discounted rates right now and it’s highly recommended to buy them. The rest which you mentioned down below, Idk they look way younger in the market and it would better to put your stakes at ETH and followed by BNB. By the way you are getting this advice from the Bitcoin addict person. Though I would suggest you to invest in one more coin which I love because I mine it and that’s RVN. It’s a ravencoin with high trading volume. Currently it’s popular amongst the miner since most of them have switched ETH miners to RVN network due to ETH switching its PoW to PoS.
You can try out some investment in it.
892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience on Bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 10:06:33 AM
My situation with the bitcoin was quickly escalated from little trust to high quality investment in no time. Literally I set up my own mining rig within one year of time knowing bitcoin. Later as it became very stricter to mine and costly as well I switched to gpu based mining and I also have “know-how” threads for the same on the forum itself.

That much close I became with the crypto currencies. The starting point was obviously bitcoin for me and it all came down in me from my friend circle who are from IT Background. I’m not sure how I did very well as compared to them so being from technical background is also secondary thing.

As part of investment I only keep buying bitcoin as and when it seems discounted. I do not get involved with too much of a trading due to less time to do all the technical analysis. But yeah, it took no time believing in bitcoin. I’m happy that happened with me. Smiley
893  Economy / Economics / Re: What class of an investor are you? on: April 27, 2023, 09:20:06 AM
By all means I fall under researcher investor for sure. Considering I’m biotechnologist and artist, I think a lot before doing any action. I’m pretty sure I do the same when it’s real world application for me aside from my lab and my artist desk.

The last statement is true in that definition, you mostly end up not making any investment because when you research you find leaks and cons which could be devastating for the future investment into that particular portfolio. Nevertheless I’m talking about crypto associated investment. Most of the time they are scams, they are highly attractive and very good to be true.

I’m so shaky when placing a bet button that I could never invest into the unknown at all. Even if there is some project which has high potential, then also I would first keep myself in loop with it. Let the project get listed on few popular exchangers and then I could get started with it quickly even though my entry points are at high stake.

But it’s safe that’s what matters.
894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin overshadowed by economic lie on: April 27, 2023, 08:10:03 AM
Bitcoin is still going in the right direction and honestly a decades time is such short to expect world wide acceptance of the same. If bitcoin had to be circulated throughout the world then imagine every type of peeps will have to come to the same page! Right now world is divided by flags, religions and their local currencies. It would obviously take whole lot of time for everyone to understand that “Bitcoin” is universal asset and it can be traded through internet anywhere in the world without any government permission or banks tedious overseas transfer remittance process. Peeps are attached to their fiat. Let us not forget there are old age peeps group, middle age groups that won’t be just ready enough to enter the bitcoin trivia because they have used fiat for more than 50-60 years! They will have to understand the entire system, look after the safety concerns, and most important they need end point payment processors everywhere so that they can spend the money.

Bitcoin is of no use for such group of peeps. I mean take a millionaire whose only time of life is to spend those millions on his/her leisure. Bitcoin is of no use because they can’t spend it everywhere they go.

Remaining youth is what making up bitcoins crowd right now. In that also many of them are victim of scams for real and thus sometime pull back to reality of fiat and solid jobs.

You and me are highly positive about bitcoin because we are maximalist for the same. We keep talking about it every minute so that’s entirely different story.

All we can do is, give it time to prosper through proper channel.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: acquired btcusa.com registered 13yrs before bitcoin back in 1996! 🤯🤯🤯 on: April 26, 2023, 06:57:48 PM
You should not sell it just right away. Considering what’s happening in USA, this domain could be better to have in your pockets for time being. It may happen due to negative news correlation with US and crypto right now this domain would get less attention. You know peeps are undoubtedly confused about various regulations in US against crypto currencies. It may lose value temporarily but not permanently.

Moreover, try to auction it in the forums Auction section where you may find more relevant buyers as compared to listing it on general brokerage website.

You definitely have golden egg in your hands, don’t let it go so easily.
896  Economy / Economics / Re: Germany surprises everyone, the economy keeps growing on: April 26, 2023, 04:43:44 PM
That’s definitely good for the Germany. I envy Germany for its amazing innovation in the medical industry and mechanical industry as well. I don’t know how many of you are from the pharmaceutical background but there is one charming thing about Germany; they innovate!
Now I wouldn’t go in technical discussion or numbers etc but whenever I am using any filter tip to staining machine or whether it’s filling up vaccine vial to sterilising the lab glassware; everything in my laboratory is about Germany. The pharma lab where I work is domestic giant but as per the FDA regulations they will always be keen about following the proper SOP. The quality equipment’s and material demand is always fulfilled by Germany.

Frankly, China comes as alternative if there is no literal option for the specific material procurement.

Definitely Germany is contributing more than one can imagine.

Even safety cupboards in our lab are procured from Asecos, Germany. They are obviously exporting many manufacturing jobs and flourishing on it.

Keep it up Germany. Smiley
897  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any point to start trading with 20$? on: April 26, 2023, 01:18:18 PM
Honestly that’s not big amount to get started with for the trading. However if you have invested it into let’s say bitcoin then you can see some positivity in the future when bitcoin prices go up. In terms of trading though you will have to have lot of efforts. I would suggest you to go for the day trading with such small amount. A day trading can give you quick profits in very short period of time.

Or else, if you do not have much more investment then you can keep “holding” your coins. In addition try to keep buying the bitcoin as and when required to pile up your investment. :-)
898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: April 25, 2023, 05:00:52 PM
I am pretty sure investing and gambling has got various differences and they are not same at all. Investing is pre-planned, it has got proper process of doing it and its personal choice when it comes to “when to book profit”, “how to book profit” and much more.

On the other hand gambling is putting your money into system which is based on algorithm with some volatility to it all the time. Some times you win or sometimes you lose and there is no other outcome to it. This is based on “unplanned” process. You are putting money in a slot or on game and there are variable odds which decides the fate of your investment.

I’m pretty sure this changes the way we look at gambling and investing.

Just ignore your friends and continue to do what you desire.
899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 rewards from BTC miners - What is the angle? on: April 25, 2023, 12:43:05 PM
Definitely some sort of scam because there is no possible way ASIC being sed for bitcoin mining algorithm can miraculously start mining ERC20 blockchain algorithm. There is vast difference between the two. That’s why they are called as Application Specific Integrated Circuits and they would be programmed to mine bitcoin algo itself. Most of PoW in ERC used entirely different algorithm which can easily be mined with simple graphic processing unit or sometimes CPU with 4+ cores.

Anyways I do not want to get into the technical stuff because it’s entirely different subject of interest.

What you are explaining is simply not possible and that’s why we can call it a scam. Also, why would anyone want to generate their own tokens? Just for fun? What would you do with them?
900  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina Central Bank Running Out of US Dollars. Bitcoin as a Solution? on: April 23, 2023, 05:07:38 PM
Every country has reserve bank of nation. I highly doubt that they have ran out of USD. They might have depleted the treasury but there is always planning committee who’d decide whether the reserve needs to be replenished, usage needs to be stopped etc. If this is not rumour then I’m sure they have the worst government managing the funds like that.

They only have one solution if they have gone so far, that’s taking the federal loan and replenishing the dollar reserve. Or else they could go for homely way out and that’s stopping the import of material and boosting their export material.

In particular, imports would eat up their dollars while export would gain them more. Using national grown food, national manufactured products would be healthy in this case as it will stop the import requirement. This can reduce the dollar burden for sure.

However, bitcoin isn’t the solution for sure. Not at this moment.
