901  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do you handle borrowers? on: July 20, 2023, 07:01:20 PM
How do you deal with the situation where people who you are close to like family and friends are constantly demanding for one kind of financial assistance or the other. It is not possible to help everyone, so how do you handle it and make sure that giving and trying to help people do not turn into a problem for you. How about people who borrow money from you and never return it or even show any effort to make payment back to you, how did you go about the situation?

I handle borrowers the same way I handle browsers. I don't give an inch. I don't compromise. There is a good saying in my country: "If you give your hand today, you will give your ass tomorrow."

So when a neighbor or relative asks a loan from me, I tell them go fu... no, I tell them to go to a bank. Banks exist for this reason. To provide loans...

If he/she can't borrow money from a bank, well shit, then it means he/she shouldn't be having it.
902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: July 19, 2023, 08:19:08 PM
Everything has a hater nowadays. The more popular something/someone gets, the more haters it attracts. Bitcoin isn't an exception to this fact. Since bitcoin is widely popular nowadays, there are also many people that hate bitcoin without a valid reason. Some of these people hate it because they think they will never get rich from it if they buy bitcoin now so they see no point in investing in it. We should explain it to them that it is not (always) about getting rich. Bitcoin is life changing tech. It is providing an alternative to the banking system. Maybe in the future some of those haters will become un-banked and then they will use bitcoin because no bank will do any business with them. Then they will understand how stupid they were for dissing bitc.
903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I save my brother by investing in btc now? on: July 19, 2023, 08:10:49 PM
Bitcoin is not a charity. If your brother's life depends on the price of bitcoin, then you are doing him a big harm. He may even die because of this. You should look for the other ways to gather money. Maybe you should accept donations to your bitcoin address and maybe bitcoin can help you that way but investing bitcoin to turn your $3k to $75k is a big no no in this situation. Don't do that.

There is no safe way to turn $3k into $75 on earth anyway. The chances are you will lose that $3k while trying it.
904  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Rise of Crypto Gambling: What You Need to Know on: July 19, 2023, 08:05:19 PM
Crypto gambling or web 3.0

Crypto gambling is huge but it seems to me web3.0 is just a solution looking for a problem which don't exist. We already have everything on the web and we can do everything. (gambling too is possible) So I don't understand how web3.0 will bring to the table something new.

But don't look at me, I didn't understand NFT's too. (tbh, I still don't see any point in them) To me, Web3.0 is just another buzzword which will help the devs to sell more shitcoins but we will see. Maybe this time it will be different.
905  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 19, 2023, 07:59:17 PM
FreeBitco.in is no longer a KYC free casino

Freebitco was known as a KYC free casino since it was created. But recently they have changed their terms. Now there are a lot of rules in the new terms of Freebitco. They have applied restricted jurisdiction rules as well. Based on this rule, a user shouldn't use FreeBitco.in if he/she is physically located in those restricted countries. Even they have added possible identity verification rules.

[img width=700]https://talkimg.com/images/2023/07/17/ZBumC.png[/]

I believe that most of the forum members have an account on FreeBitco. Don't forget to read their new Terms. Based on the new terms of Freebitco, the website is owned and operated by "FBC BV". Perhaps, they have registered a licence under Curacao (I'm not sure about this yet).

You may follow this thread to get updates about the casinos License and KYC requirements: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements.

Note: This topic is self-moderated in order to avoid gambling board spammers. Don't make off-topic discussions, and avoid spamming here.

Is this really true? I can't believe what I just read. This post says freebitco.in isn't KYC-free anymore? Why did you make this change for god's sake? Being KYC-free was one of the best qualities of this casino. I always recommended this casino for being KYC-free and now you took it away...

Have the authorities in your country forced you to make these changes? If so, I can understand it, otherwise it is no good.

I guess we will never be free on the internet...
906  Economy / Economics / Re: Can your passion lead to an increase in your net worth? on: July 18, 2023, 05:03:07 AM
There are many diverse opinions about following one's passion and wealth. I read two stories of people who followed their passion, and in a short period of time, the businesses became very profitable.
...

Passion is probably the most important thing you should have if you want to be successful at doing anything. Passion and determination. Giving no fuck to the naysayers but also being wise enough to listen to the people with good knowledge.

There was a very good example in a movie, "Forrest Gump".

Bubba was obsessed with shrimps and it didn't matter if he was in the middle of war or his sleep at night, he was always talking about shrimps. He knew every little fuckin detail about shrimps. After the war, Bubba started his shrimp business and became a very successful shrimp-man.

Shit like that really happens.
907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why local currencies when there is bitcoin ? on: July 18, 2023, 04:55:48 AM
The problem is not everybody trusts bitcoin yet. People still trust their government even though it is the stupidest thing one can do. That's because people are not well-informed about bitcoin. It is our duty to explain why bitcoin is superior to their local FIAT currency. (actually it is superior to any FIAT currency)

This is not going to be a quick process anyway. It will probably take multiple decades before bitcoin dominates every FIAT currency in the world. 2040 sounds like a good target.
908  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 18, 2023, 04:50:36 AM
Inflation is really biting hard, and nobody is doing anything about it, should we all just go with what Tupac said, "that's just the way it is, things will never be the same".
A lot of person's have ascribed this global inflation to the crisis Rocking Ukraine and Russia,  a lot of person's have also said it's as a result of shortage of gas supply across Europe and other countries.
The whole story is not just clear, as to why inflation is biting so hard and IMF AND WORLD BANK are not doing anything about it and the people are just left to face their fate alone.
The prices of goods and services are constantly going astronomical high and there is no hope insight of this ugly situation coming to a halt.

The purchasing powers of citizens are getting weak and I don't understand if the consumer protection laws are even effective anymore this days.
You buy something for a certain amount today, in the next one week, that same item you bought  has charged Prince without any reason.
How are you guys pulling it through with this inflation?

Your savings is creating a mess because you are probably investing in the wrong assets. What are you saving? FIAT in bank account? Of course it is going to fail in an inflationary environment. You should buy hard assets and commodities like stocks (commodities and consumer defensive) , gold, rice, toilet paper, bitcoin, olive oil, farm land etc

If you are not buying anything real which people will want to use in the future, you are wasting your money.
909  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin pumping when the economy is heading into a recession? on: July 17, 2023, 04:48:47 AM
The economy that you said in a recession might depend on the country and economy that you meant. I don't think bitcoin price depends solely on the economic condition because if it does it could have become zero as some countries have been in recession for up to five years now.

In other words, just like stocks, bitcoin is not the economy. Bitcoin (and stocks) can go up and down freely based on supply and demand. Sometimes there are too much supply and so little demand so bitcoin starts to go down, sometimes it is the other way around. There are always big whales that want to manipulate the markets. Their main goal is to make money of course. These people don't care about the economic downturns.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 17, 2023, 04:42:30 AM
Things we must do to stop gambling according to experts:
Quote
1. Recognize the problem

Greed is the main problem. Most gambling addicts think if they play long enough some day they will get rich but of course that's not true. It is because the games are designed to make you poor in the long run. These people will never understand this fact so they keep playing and getting poorer and poorer.

The moment they identify this problem and understand it fully, one question remains to be answered.

"Do you want to get poor or not?"

Yes > keep playing.
No > stop playing.
911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 17, 2023, 04:00:11 AM
Recently research was held by Dr Reece Bush-Evans who told that online gambling could Hide the sexuality of the LGBTQ+ people and most of these people prefer online gambling as compared to physical gambling for obvious reasons.

The more important concern for the LGBTQ+ people is that they are being treated differently in a casino which may come under harassment. Also, the study says that people at the casino, the staff plus the public have shown discriminatory behavior towards these people.

New Research Explores Effect of Gambling on LGBTQ+ People

Another use case for online gambling... It is true that straight people don't really feel confident around those LGBTQ+ people and it is only natural. If a male only wants to bed women and disgusts the idea of bedding men, then this person won't want to see any male (as long as he has a dick he is a male) people around that want to bed him.

Maybe the government should build LGBTQ+ Pro Max casinos specificially designed for those people but no, they want to ruin the fun of us, straight people.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: July 16, 2023, 11:06:41 AM
I have heard the advice that you should only use money you can afford to lose for gambling. I say that this is more theoretical than practical. Literally no one has money that they can afford to lose. I feel that money for gambling is a matter of opportunity cost. You either use the money for gambling or use it to meet a need. If using money one can afford to lose were practical there will be no need for articles on having a gambling budget or bank roll management. Hey gamblers my question is to you now is, the money you currently plan to use for gambling is it money that you can afford to lose?

Some people see gambling as an entertainment. These people are actually buying something while they are gambling. So let's just say these people can afford to spend x% of their monthly income on something that has entertainment value. Like watching a movie for example... How is this different than gambling? You lose money when you watch a movie too...

You probably don't this angle and that's why you think people can't afford to "lose" any money on gambling.

Following your logic, people that smoke cigarettes are also "losing" money and their health is getting worse doing it. Yet billions of people still smoke every day. Why? Because they like it.
913  Economy / Economics / Re: Things you should know about Money mindset on: July 14, 2023, 07:34:58 PM
These are very good advices. There are endless opportunities to make huge money but people are lazy to do it or blind to see them. I have friends make money in so weird ways but somehow they manage to make it work. They sometimes explain to me but I don’t understand a damn about what they are saying. I always tell them that I should do a business which I understand and it is the truth. Warren Buffett says the same thing too. He says that he doesn’t invest in a business he doesn’t understand.
914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is done! Now this is what we are left with! on: July 14, 2023, 06:54:48 PM
None of us will be around by 2140 so it doesn’t really matter. Bitcoin devs will probably switch to PoS or something similar way before than 2140 and save bitcoin. Billions of dollars at risk. Thousands of businesses depend on bitcoin. Bitcoin will find a way to survive.

If it doesn’t, we will learn from our mistakes and make a better one. This is how the tech evolves in the end.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 04:44:55 PM
I would say less than 2% because in the long run this is going to be failed "investment". So the less you lose the better. However, We are also not monks. People drink, smoke and gamble. We spend lots of money on other stupid stuff for fun too so it is fine to spend some money on gambling as long as you are having fun not greedy and 2% sounds just like the right amount. Life is all about balancing stuff. We need to balance fun and work so we won't go crazy.

916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 14, 2023, 12:29:03 PM
I heard of a story about two gamblers that got into a serious fight on the grounds that a bet they merged an amount of money equally to place  using the online account of one person among their two. Luckily for them the bet won. But something happened, when it got to the sharing formula of the total amount won the owner of the account  insisted on taking a lion's share since it was his account that was used in placing the bet. The latter refusing to accept it that way they got into a serious fight. How pathetic!

What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.

If you are using shared funds to make bets that will create a mess. Especially when your partner makes a bet which you wouldn't approve and lose it... Let's say we have a $50k shared bankroll but we only make bets if both of us agree with it. Then your partner wagers $5k on some stupid game and loses it... Wouldn't you be angry about it? That would violate the ToS of this partnership.

Luckily, since I only use my own funds to make bets, this is never going to happen to me.
917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling on: July 13, 2023, 06:46:00 PM
If you don't think about gambling in your daily life, you simply aren't addicted to it. Same goes to smoking. I don't think about either of these habits but if someone offers me a cig, sometimes I take it and smoke it. That doesn't mean I am addicted to smoking because I don't buy packs unless I am really excited with something. - if you know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) -

I don't think about gambling but sometimes I just feel lucky and I want to see if I feel it right... That's about it.
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to invest 7k usdt on: July 13, 2023, 06:05:55 AM
Where to invest 7k usdt

To get profit daily 30$

$30 a day? for your $7k? You must be high. That's a lot more than 100% annually and You can only get these kind of returns if you "invest" in ponzi schemes or play in a casino. No legit investment will return you 100%+ unless you are very very lucky with your stock/altcoin picks and if you have a luck like that you can always buy a lottery ticket and still win.

Even $100k wouldn't get you $30/day if you make legit investments... $7k is too small to accomplish this target.
919  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I got scammed by Freewallet.org for 120000 USDT TRC20. SCAM alert!  Don't use th on: July 13, 2023, 05:10:18 AM
You should have checked the reviews before you used freewallet.org... They are everywhere. Everything you will see and hear about them is no good. It has been more than 5 years probably since people realized their scams.

$120k is not peanuts and you didn't do your homework. This is going to leave a mark in your finances.

Hopefully you will lighten up and don't do stupid stuff next time... or else there won't be a next time.
920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My story about bitcoin and my old friend. on: July 12, 2023, 07:55:04 PM
Maybe your friend simply isn't interested in bitcoin and there is nothing wrong with that. You didn't have to prove him anything imo. Obviously he couldn't make the same big bucks as you while he was working overseas but some people are just not good at investing at all. You should also know that crypto isn't the only game in town. Some smart people make great returns with forex or/and stocks too. There are people that make a killing from gambling. Your friend couldn't find his "get rich quick" scheme yet. Some people never will and there isn't anything wrong with that. Not everybody can be in the 1% club.
