901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 12, 2023, 09:45:22 PM
I tried to ask ChatGPT if it can predict the winner of an NBA game and this is what it said:
Quote
I am not able to predict the winner of NBA games because I am a language model trained on a large dataset of text and do not have access to real-time information about the games or the teams. Additionally, there are many factors that can affect the outcome of a game, such as injuries, team dynamics, and the performance of individual players, that are difficult to predict.

I guess that alone is enough answer whether AI can predict outcomes or not. Maybe there are some here who can crack the code and can get something from the ChatGPT, but I guess relying on statistics is way better than relying on AI when it comes to predicting outcomes. Another question is that, can you trust your money to an AI? ChatGPT isn't updated and the information that it is giving to us are the ones that it got until 2021 which means what happened in 2022 and this year (if there are some) aren't in the ChatGPT therefore, it is a bit of outdated. Nevertheless, give it at least 3-5 years then we will see a better one than what we are seeing right now.
You are right in this part mate. That answer of AI alone clearly tell that they will never be reliable in sports betting as every outcome or end game comes with surprise as to how each player performs in the game, regardless if there are current issues that have suddenly arises while the game is ongoing. But with respect to AI, let’s give them enough time to improve their system and after that, maybe we can already rely to their predictions.
902  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another lesson for those that are using custodial exchanges and wallets on: January 12, 2023, 08:37:43 PM
"We are modifying our withdrawal policy. While customers will continue to be able to withdraw their funds, at this time, we are limiting withdrawals to no more than 90% of the funds currently in each customer account, subject to current daily limits."

Man, I don't want to make quick conclusions, but this really smells like insolvency. You can slightly justify having a set amount of daily withdrawal limits due to regulatory reasons, but having a set percentage? That's just too fishy imo.
There is really something wrong with how this exchange set its own rule on withrawal. Then what about the remaining 10% of the users funds, surely they will automatically become the exchange’s possession. I don’t know if no one plans to sue this exchange but I think if the withrawal rate will not change, Wyre users will end up suing them as its obviously stealing their own funds.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman won $43million but was offered a steak dinner instead of her winnings on: January 11, 2023, 09:50:02 PM
It seems that the casino cheated by turning the facts that happened to the woman upside down so that the casino did not pay her the winnings.
And if the machine is broken, the casino should write a message that it is broken so no one will use it.
But instead of writing down the message, the casino just let it go and finally, someone won a lot of money but the casino refused to pay them.
However, it seems that the casino was deliberately cheating, so the woman could not get her winnings.
But we must remember that the casino owns the place of business and we do nothing to the casino.
It’s only the casino knows the truth behind all these lies. And if they are not lying, at least they could have inform the woman in the first place that the slot machine is not working completely so there might be some errors after you play. But the casino didn’t do that. That’s why this casino can be considered cheating so they can avoid paying the woman. They should have removed the machine since it’s malfunctioning in the first place.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lottery's defense to not paying a huge winning. on: January 09, 2023, 05:03:23 PM
The question is ?
What do you really think of the lottery company and is there any chance for them to winning the case and not paying the winner?
Some countries lottery/gambling is legal and some countries lottery/gambling is illegal, if you talk about laws, it depends.

I mean, there are lottery companies that are illegal and there are legal ones, if the user wins the lottery the lottery dealer doesn't pay, let's say the lottery company is legal, if the winning user has enough proof of his winnings that user will get the lottery and vice versa it is illegal to have no hope for that user.

In the case as you mentioned, it seems legal, it is marked that the user is likely to get the lottery.

Good point, the bettor can't chase the ones who operates illegally because the government don't know who to chase and even if the bettor files a case to a certain person who operates it, it will still backfire at him as it's his risk why he did bet to an illegal lottery despite knowing the fact. But if it's a legal lottery, the bettor have every right to claim whatever amount he is entitled once he can prove that he won the lottery. The lottery's excuse is too shallow, I doubt that there will be a courthouse that will save them.
905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 09, 2023, 02:32:09 PM
Surely Gervonta Davis wanted to be underestimated by his opponents because he's viewing that as an advantage because his opponents are likely complacent enough saying that they will beat Tank easily because they are smarter, taller, or stronger. But as of now, none of them has proven that they're much more capable and stronger than Davis. Hector might end up like Rolly Romero, thinking that he was way smarter than Davis but the outcome was definitely different from what he expected.

Tank is a champion, I don’t think that anyone can underestimate him, on the contrary, everyone understands that a fight with such an opponent can turn out to be one of the most difficult in his career. I see that Garcia behaves very confidently, in one of his statements he said that he would knock out Tank before the second round, but this seems absolutely unrealistic to me, it will be a long and hard fight, and Tank in this fight seems to me a stronger.

Davis beats Hector Garcia and it's true that beating Davis before the 2nd round is far from any reality, it's good that Hector able to
survive till the 8th round before he the fight was ended.

There are many solid combinations that Tank throws to Hector especially those convert punches that really shaken Hector.

But at the end of the day, it was Davis who take the win, and moving forward to the original topic, the date is getting closer
both fighters will take their trainings seriously, knowing that they both wanted to KO their opponent.

Hector Garcia also deserved some credits for showing an outstanding performance against Gervonta Davis, it wasn't an easy fight for him and having to manage for 8 straight rounds is considerably good as Davis is really difficult to face because of the latter's vast knowledge inside the ring. And again, it shows how good Davis is, he's been frequently doubted but he also frequently proved why he is the regular champ. In the upcoming months, he will be tested again by an another Garcia who is also a knockout artist like him, this will be interesting to see.

Yes, Hector got my thumbs up for surviving a breath taking 8 rounds against Tank Davis, really, it was not easy. But I think he could've prolonged the fight and finished it in the hands of the judges even if the fight already belongs to Davis, and if it wasn't of his eye that got injured by Tank's menace punches that made Hector quit. It was a good fight but now let's talk for Tank's future fight with the second Garcia who's much younger and stronger than Hector, do you guys think that Ryan Garcia can really do the talk that he will finish the fight within 2 rounds?
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 09, 2023, 02:01:06 PM
I'll be curious to watch the Kings vs Lakers game tonight.

James scored over 30 points once again, and his teammates (Bryant, Schroder, and Westbrook) also had good performances. As a result, the Lakers beat the Kings by only 2 points, and that's their 5th win in a row. However, the Lakers are still in 12th place in the standings, but this winning streak has clearly improved their position, as the win/loss difference between the 5th and 12th place in the Western Conference is small now.

Kings have no interior defense, they were even outrebounded by Bryant alone, I think Bryant showed th best game in the season so far. I didn't expect the outcome, I was expecting that the Kings will be very aggressive and will win at home against the Lakers who played a back to back game. And by the way, Lakers continued their winning streak, great job for this team.

Well, actually everyone contributed on that win, the guards are playing very well.

Schroder 27 points
Westbrook 23 points with 15 assists.

No answer from the Kings because they cannot spot the production of the Lakers and the Lakers are shooting a high percentage compared to the Kings. It's very evident that there's less defense on this game because the total score is too high, total score combined 270 points.

That was quite impressive from the Lakers, their stats are much higher compared to their last few games and the Kings haven't anticipated that they will be having a good night as they are shooting impressively beyond the arc with less possessions that has been wasted that time. Schroder finally adjusted and awakened the Euroleague Schroder, while Thomas Bryant has becoming more and more reliable in the center which makes LeBron more free to do his thing.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: January 09, 2023, 01:35:47 PM
After 36 years, Argentina ended their title drought under Messi. Along with this, Argentine star has taken himself to a unique height by winning this World Cup. Star player who have won the World Cup, Champions League and Ballon d'Or are called the 'Triple Crown' club. Messi became a member of that traditional club by winning the World Cup in Qatar. There was one blemish in Messi's career, and that was the World Cup. Argentina beat France on a tiebreaker in a thrilling final in Qatar to lift the title for the third time. The Qatar World Cup will be remembered by people for a long time than any other World Cup.

Winning the world cup is once in a lifetime opportunity. Messi was fortunate enough to have his name inscribed in world cup trophy. This was his last chance and he managed to win the world cup. At the same time, this was the last world cup (probably) for Cristiano Ronaldo as well. Unlike Messi, he had a rather forgettable tournament where he was continuously humiliated by his own team. Qatar 2022 was probably the last major tournament for these players as well - Pepe, Dani Alves, Thiago Silva and Danny Vukovic. The oldest player was Alfredo Talavera (only player who was aged 40 or more).

Yes, there's indeed a good chance that the Qatar World Cup was going to be the last World Cup for the both of them considering their age and the timetable of the next World Cup that will be hosted by the United States of America. Although, both of them haven't spoke yet about the likeliness of this matter but I've read an article that said that CR7's last dance will be in UEFA Euro this coming 2024.
Indeed, there have been many articles released saying that Ronaldo played in the last World Cup at the Qatar World Cup because remembering that Ronaldo himself is old and it is impossible to be able to participate in the upcoming World Cup.
In terms of his playing in the Qatar World Cup yesterday, he started to look less good and his skills started to decrease.
I am also sure that in the future Portugal will also have new football players who are reliable and can bring Portugal to compete in the upcoming World Cup.

I've heard about the rumors as well and I'm somehow inclined that both CR7 and Messi will not play anymore in the upcoming World Cup because instead of being an asset to their respective team, they will become a reliable as their age will pose a disadvantage to them. I'm just glad that I have been born in the time and witnessed their greatness during their professional years because in the upcoming years, these two will be an icon in the history of football.
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 09, 2023, 12:05:38 PM
Sacramento Kings defended their homecourt well, Fox, Sabonis and the rest of the Kings roster gave their all but the Lakers was just too good last night, giving three points with high percentage. Quite surprised that 4 of their roster got 20+ points, of course was leaded by Lebron James himself and Thomas Bryant is getting more and more impressive each night. Not as good as AD though but he's quite more healthy and more consistent.

Same here, hard to guess between the Magic and Warriors. It's so likely that the bettors preferred Warriors in that game knowing that they are still dominant even without Curry in the line-up but it seems that it wasn't the case last night.
Even though the Kings lost the game against the Lakers, I can admit that Sacramento played so good, and many people were convinced that the Kings were going to beat the Lakers, but did not happen.

One point I would like to share is about Sabonis, I followed several games when he played for OKC, and today, playing for the Kings, I realized that he had an extremely high evolution, thus making him an important player for his team.

If Sacramento maintains this rhythm, they can go to the playoffs, I even dare to say, they can advance in the playoffs, but for that to happen they need to evolve a lot.

With all these events, I even share that betting on the Kings currently is not a bad choice.

They still have a lot of room to improve in this season for the evolution that you're saying, they should stick with their current roster though so that they can develop more depth in their roster that can help the team just like what happened with the Celtics. It will take some time of course but that really depends on the players and looking at the Kings now, I can agree that maybe they will reach and play in the playoffs.
909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: January 08, 2023, 10:55:43 PM
^^ There is also factor that made Mayweather famous and rich, he is brandish, talks to much and I would say has the charisma, and the whole character. I don't think Haney will have that even if he has 0 losses when he retire.

Yes, that's true and that's exactly the side that Haney doesn't have, that's why most people looks at him as one of the boring boxers in the industry because his fights in the past had no hypes at all. He's only became famous these days because he does have the undisputed title in the lightweight division as he also holds all the belt under his possession, and that definitely attracts good boxers that will hype their fight and market it, just like now as he will be fighting Lomachenko soon.

Aside from that fact, Haney's not avoiding any boxers unlike Mayweather who did that tactics in his pro-career. But I know that it's still arguable as it's still too early to tell because Haney is still decades away from the retirement phase.

now that davis defeated hector garcia, will there be another garcia that will go home as a loser? that will be a challenge to ryan for their upcoming fight. i am certain, he watched this fight and maybe forming a tactic how to defeat davis. davis will be the favourite of crypto bookies for sure. but it may be a close one. as ryan did not push thru his tune up fight, davis may have advantage when it comes to prep. let's see...

Tank always gets the advantage because of his experience and IQ especially this time because he already had a heater bout before a much heavier fight with Ryan Garcia, and finished Hector by a way of TKO in the 9th round. That said, I'd say that the pressure is now with Ryan Garcia because people are expecting a lot from him as he's also saying that he can defeat the regular champion in a mere 2-rounds, I want to see him how he will do that as well.
By the way, I agree, Davis might be the favorite but I guess their odds is not that far with each other.
911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 08, 2023, 10:19:49 PM
I’m showing a -9.5 point spread for the Lakers tonight at the moment. I agree that is too large of a spread, especially the way LeBron has been playing. I think the Kings will probably win, but I don’t have faith they’ll cover the spread, so I think I’d take the Lakers on that one (with the spread). Might as well toss the Warriors beating the Magic and the Celtics beating the Spurs in there with a parlay.
Lakers vs Kings, it was an interesting game and oddly enough, balanced. The Lakers surprised me again, as I was convinced the Kings were going to win the game, but that didn't happen.

By the way, whoever bet on the Lakers was lucky lol

In this round of the NBA we had another unforeseen event, Magic beat the Warriors, and GSW was the favorite to win the game.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I'm glad I didn't bet as I would have lost some money on my bets lol

Sacramento Kings defended their homecourt well, Fox, Sabonis and the rest of the Kings roster gave their all but the Lakers was just too good last night, giving three points with high percentage. ...What do you think? What other tips are there for becoming a successful holder?

The problem of every investor is that he does not fully implement all the tips that the OP has published. This can happen either due to ignorance or in cases where the investor specifically violates them, hoping to increase his deposit. But it can definitely be said that the holder should not sell his coins when they have reached the minimum price.
Well, expect that even OP’s tips are good and valuable, there will always be investors that will follow their own rules and stick to them because they think that they are way better than these posted tips. Either because of their ignorance, or they don’t just trust other people’s advices and opinions. For me, it’s good too as they will learn their lessons eventually when they start losing in the end.
913  Economy / Economics / Re: Every passing year seems progressively worse on: January 06, 2023, 07:59:12 PM
I really felt it, it was not only in our economy but we are also struggling with climate change and many of our countrymen had suffered the terrible impact of the changes.
People are busy inventing new projects, new technology, etc in order to advance when it comes to economic growth. We see strong competition but on the other side, many people had suffered from it, and many people got starved and die from hunger. I don't want to expect the worse possible scenario in the future but I think, we have to prepare for it as it was been started already.
Gone are the days where people live life to the fullest since what we are facing mostly these days are problems and struggles that give us an unhealthy life. But what can we do than to face them as most of them are unforeseen events and inevitable circumstances that are not within our control. The only thing we can do is to be brave enough and become smarter to find solutions rather than complaining that is not helpful at all.
914  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: January 06, 2023, 07:31:29 PM
No matter how hard you try, poor people can be difficult to persuade to accept and invest in bitcoin, according to my crypto knowledge and people's enlightenment. They vehemently criticize whatever you show them or introduce them to. They are the ones who constantly inquire about how you manage your funds in order to live during this economic downturn.

Quote
The worst people to serve are the Poor people. Give them free, they think it's a trap. Tell them it's a small investment, they'll say can't earn much. Tell them to come in big, they'll say no money. Tell them try new things, they'll say no experience. Tell them it's traditional business, they'll say hard to do. Tell them it's a new business model, they'll say it's MLM. Tell them to run a shop, they'll say no freedom. Tell them run new business, they'll say no expertise.

They do have some things in common:

listen to friends who are as hopeless as them, they think more than a university professor and do less than a blind man.
How can we persuade the poor that without making investments and taking risks, they would not succeed in life? If they are looking for a financial breakthrough, they need become involved with anything because good things in life don't just fall into their laps. Life is about taking chances and seizing any opportunity that presents itself.
I believe what you said are also the realities we can directly observed from poor people around, but you can’t simply judge them just because of that. Poor people will always want to prosper just like anyone else, but if they don’t have the resources to do that, and that they have not received better opportunities in life, so how can they start moving on to their lives if all they met are just struggles.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $128,000 and it's been a week waiting for game provider verification on: January 06, 2023, 06:52:39 PM
Update: DG7 has since offered me $5,000 USDT on the $131,000 USDT owed to me after they received the results of the provider reviews. At first they tried to say that the providers told them that there are too few players on the site for them to verify the wins,
That's quite unprofessional for a casino in business to say so, because at every moment it is the duty of a casino to manage and control its bankroll, of which if they knew they can't pay a winning of over $131,000, why should they allow it in the first place, because this is where the question about reputation comes into play I.e by doing what is right at all cost. Because I know how hard it it to win such an amount of money, and when finally won, how heartbreaking it can be seeing yourself unable to withdraw your virtual funds.
However, it's been over 60days since you made this complaint, is there any update so far?
Gambling makes you lose easily your funds but certainly hard to win though. And now that you won, delays are taking so long that made you doubted the casino if it’s going to pay or not. I just hope everything’s turn out fine now since you are not posting updates anymore. But if it’s not, I don’t think that casino is still going to pay.

Control your emotion, believe me, emotion is your biggest number one enemy. Especially the fear and greed know how to stop loss and know how to take profit.

Stay away from btc If you are futures trader btc moving too slow.

Please don't stay away from BTC since if you can predict BTC moves you can predict the most market is going. In fact, most of traders that I have followed what they do first is predict BTC moving after that they start to analyze the altcoin. Bitcoin waves is real.

Good Luck Smiley

If you can’t be good in trading btc, might as well that you will also find it hard to be profitable from trading altcoins. So stick to bitcoin regardless of how the market performs. And as a trader, never go all for money because you will definitely fall from that mindset. Just take advantage in every possible chances, and do stoploss whenever it’s badly needed.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin birthday reminder: You could have been a millionaire using this tool on: January 05, 2023, 09:53:33 PM
You had to solve old style captcha which would have taken like -10 seconds and 5 bitcoins were yours in return. If you did this once a day, you could have been a millionaire today.
This way of thinking is exactly why there are very few "millionaires" around. You are thinking of gaming a system (the faucet) that was not supposed to be used that way to earn peanuts! This is while there were (as there are today) lots of better ways to honestly earn a much larger amount of bitcoin. For example you could have turned your computer on and used your CPU to mine a single block to earn 50 bitcoins as the reward! Or even you could have spent $100 to buy 2000 bitcoins!
You cannot expect to end up a millionaire today by simply doing what is just working in the past and not anymore significant in the present. It’s like believing from a very impossible thing. But there might be millionaires today who are really earning from bitcoin and that they also have taken calculated risks, and not just by doing things that would not require to get out from their comfort zones.

I'm sorry to hear about how the current situation and exploding inflation is effecting you and your family.  I think the truth is, however, that it's effecting people a lot more than they realize or are currently willing to realize.  Most of my clients understand the impact inflation is having on their bottom line, but really only so in the very short term, and they simply aren't making changes that are necessary to not effect their long-term.  What I mean is most are willing to spend more than they should be, and it will effect them hard in the long term, in my opinion anyhow.
Well, regardless of this high inflation, and putting the price of onions highly increased, I still don’t see and experience lots of changes in my own country. Majority of the people are still in the mood of spending, but maybe a lot wiser and smarter to only buy things that are only necessary and eradicate all those who are useless. And saving this time is a lot more difficult to achieve especially for those who are earning minimum rate of wage.

source: https://www.gatewayfoundation.org/addiction-blog/risk-factors-gambling-addiction/

sex and alcohol are the main catalysts for addictions to gambling or drugs or other addictions, unfortunately this is a harsh reality that I think everyone in this world already had a relative in this situation, I myself already had 2 relatives who suffered from this addiction and died due to these vices. to this day I hate alcohol
Everything which is too much would really be always bad and we should really bare up that in mind.Alcohol isnt bad or something you could not deal with as long you are on moderate
consumption then it should be fine but on the time that you do make yourself alcoholic then it would be a different story. Its true that these things are pretty common or can be seen into
these venues on which this is the way that they would be keeping their customers considering that majority would be male then it would be understandable that they would
be putting up those sexy girls to make things look more better and interesting.
Well, as long as you are abusing it, surely it will cause you negative effects. But alcohol drinks are not that bad, knowing we all need a daily intake of alcohol but drink also with discipline, and never let yourself end up being drunk. Otherwise, you will really end up making bad decisions and let yourself gambling and spend all your funds. Maybe the man in the story has different mindset too that’s why he fail from casinos techniques.
920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 02, 2023, 08:56:27 PM
That's not new in boxing, there are really questionable judging, they say boxing is corrupt, then that explain the allegations. However, we are still here supporting the sport, so we should not complain, just accept the fact that sometimes things does not happen based on our expectation. If we search in youtube, you will find a lot of fights with controversial results.

If I'm not mistaken, there are boxing events and matches before where decisions were changed upon being reviewed.

Like, the losing side will file a complaint, the boxing board or councils will review it, then from there, announce the final results. Another one, the losing side won't bother to make a complaint but the board will still review the fight (like what happened to Casimero).

For long-time boxing enthusiasts there, I'm sure they have an idea about that.
Yeah, there have been cases like that. It's a petition and complaint that they believe that there's a wrong result to the match that has happened and that's why it has to be reviewed again.
It's not a problem for the boxing committee because they're open to any fairness that might affect their reputation. But these days, I rarely see it happen anymore as most of the losses and fights that happen were respected for the results.
But if there's really a need to review a fight, then the losing fighter has to put it up to the process while the boxer that has won should just wait until an investigation comes.

But only a few complaints are successful to win, that's why they called this sport corrupt because there are results that is very obvious to be wrong. Like this particular fight, also, we don't know when the decision will come out, I'm sure there are lots of boxers in the past who complained but the results are not in their favor.

That is common because they don't have any strings to pull or that their promoter has no ties with the governing bodies or committees that will get the outcome to their favor, in those cases, they already know what would be the outcome and that the result will not be in their favor. To sum it up, almost all sports industries have the same problems because this is a multi-millions sports after all, we just got to be accustomed by it.
