921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: July 19, 2020, 11:04:56 AM
Really excited too about the upcoming season too, I just hope no false negative for the players and staff, I mean a positive person labelled as a negative. It will be a problem inside the bubble cause it will make the season be cancelled once again.

I think the infected players and staff will get help from the doctor, and I am sure that they will get better again. We hope that there is no problem with sports games, even if there are infected players and staff. As long as the other staff still use the procedures and protocols from the government, I am sure they can minimize the chance to get infected so that the sports event can continue. If the situations getting worst, the sports events need to stop for a while to be checked and make sure that everything is fine.

Obviously, these infected staffs and players should follow the protocols, that just means undergoing tests and self quarantine. Another thing is that it also means they will be out of the games for a while to make sure that other players and staffs can't be contaminated making the run of the season better.
922  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: July 18, 2020, 03:11:36 PM
This pandemic brings serious problems to every country's economy, and also making many people jobless. But in the case of traders and investors, still they can hodl and get money from their investment which is a good thing and advantage about making business with cryptocurrency.

Yes there are people who lose their job due to pandemic, however some give up their job in the city to be with their loved ones in their province and of course to guarantee their safety. Me, yes I turn back earning crypto early january and due to pandemic I be able to give time to crypto unlike the previous year.

And they are selfish about that. These people wanted to be with their family not thinking that they may be contaminated by the virus. That is the reason more cases are recorded in provinces where people went back cotaminated by the virus.

Right now people should find their way to find a job since they will be having a hard time relying on the governmemt and at that way, they could also help the country.
923  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: July 18, 2020, 02:18:42 PM
We can't really rely on bitcoin right now. It is a speculative asset and it is not that giving a good profit lately as it is stagnant these days. Though it gave people a lot of profit in the long run, it is not really reliable and dependable so better chose another way to earn a profit, take note that you need a reliable and dependable source of income these days.

For us who doesn't have enough we can't rely to live from our crypto-income, but there are people who are earn a lot in crypto-currencies, they can sell parts and still have a good life, and savings in crypto-currencies.

Well, you said it yourself. They may sell some of it but they don't rely on it. There are those that earned a lot of profit from cryptos but I don't think they really rely on it. Some people I know is just holding their btcs and cryptos right now and they are not planning to sell them since the price might pump in the near future.

Unless they are working for example, freelancing and taking their payments bitcoin, we can say they can rely on it but I would prefer to accept fiat if that is the case since the volatility of it may affect me.
Some people only buy bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to sell their cryptos if the price starts to pump up and exchange it into fiat that they don't want to hold and keep their bitcoins and cryptocurrencies in the long term. Unlike other crypto users, they do rely on bitcoin and cryptocurrency because some of them used their monthly or weekly income on their trades and signature campaigns for their necessities and monthly bills.

Well, not all of us wanted to do that unlike you. All of the crypto currencies I can get is being held for the future that if it pump again, I would be able to get some proifits from it. Since I can't really use it here, maybe we can say that people would be relying on it if it is widely used in their country.

Still, I don't think people would be doing that since most people would hold their bitcoins rather than use them especially these days that the price is unpredictable.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency on: July 18, 2020, 01:06:24 PM
Maybe this news is true, but there is more and more people getting into cryptocurrency usage. Another thing more and more cryptocurrency and blockchain related development is happening within India. In recent days TCS, one of the leading IT service provider have entered the cryptomarket. If the government isn't supportive TCS could've never taken the steps forward. Upon this there is very less chance of cryptocurrencies getting banned in India.
So,if there is a cryptocurrency and blockchain technology development on their country then there is only a little possibilities that India will ban cryptocurrency. They have a large number of population and it will be affecting the crypto market if ever.

If ever that these people use bitcoin. According to some articles, there are a huge number of individuals investing in crypto currencies in India because of the lockdowns or quarantines during the pandemic. The market shows no sign of being affected during the pandemic as it even reached $10K last last month. What are there problems with bitcoin?

That is funny. I agree with the OP that this should a lesson that we should not always follow and believe the expert's prediction or opinion. Any reactions of this from him these days?
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 17, 2020, 11:44:40 PM
Usually, our caution can protect us from these risks No one knows how the virus will ever infect It is safer to stay at home to protect against vaccines This will reduce the risk Las Vegas has opened casinos because the incidence of viruses in their country has dropped significantly. But everyone is more inclined to gamble online out of concern for their own health.

Not just that but also because they wanted to get back the economy to the "new" normal since the pandemic. Every country is affected and there are a lot of profits and taxes from casinos that is why reopening these casinos can help the country take back its lost profits and take back the falling economy.

If people would want to gamble in these casinos, they would be following the protocols and be used to the new normal.
Ok but look at the situation now.
The Nevada (Las Vegas' state) was under 1000 new covid19 cases a day, ten days ago.
Now it's above 1500 new cases by day.  Undecided
The disease is spreading fast
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/nevada/

But there are consequences to that.
Cases in Nevada are growing very quickly now. And if the cases don't stop to rise state authorities will have to lock down Las Vegas again.

I don't really know what are they really thinking but for sure, they know that this is coming and I don't know what are they doing about that. I am not shocked that the cases increases but shocked because they actually don't know what are they doing. They just wanted to regain their lost economy but I think they will be more affected since the cases are increasing.

928  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we agree BTC is not a store of value? on: July 15, 2020, 09:48:59 PM
BTC is volatile but it's not depreciating, because when we say it's depreciating it will not be valuable again, that's not the nature of bitcoin, so I don't agree with the way you describe bitcoin.

it could be a no or a yes, it doesn't matter, what matters is what we believe as everyone of us who are into crypto and investing in bitcoin might not have the same answer or belief.
Thanks for hitting me. I seem to be getting what the store of value really means. It is not true that BTC does not belong as a store of value because it is not depreciated. Is depreciated the amount that is gradually decreasing that can no longer return to the previous price or increase such as computers, vehicles, tools and etc.? So it just depends on a user whether he will consider BTC as a store of value if its price rises or falls.

I agree on that. I guess it is really on the person whether bitcoin is a store of value or not. For me, it is not a store of a value, but for other it is. I guess the reason is that while time passes, we are seeing higher value of it and it also increases further. But bitcoin also falls sometimes and we do not know when it will happen because of its volatility.

I also agree that even though I beleieve that it is not a store of value, I will keep on holding it since I think it will give more profits in the near future.

930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin Must Be Inherited on: July 15, 2020, 07:17:34 PM
This is very interesting question. It seems that everything is simple. You just need to transfer files and private keys on USB flash drive and give it to your relatives and that’s all. But on the other hand, if a person passes away suddenly, then in this situation your accumulations will sink into oblivion and there is no way to access them.

Im thinking about this and accidents are a surprise so we never know when will it happen. My plan is to just say it to my partner so she will be using something in the future. It might give her some wrong ideas but I will just explain that she needs to know it now. Other than that, I could just add it in my last will and testament.
931  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tell me a reason why I should use online wallet. on: July 14, 2020, 02:32:09 PM
Unless you are have your reason and you really wanted to use bitcoin for your convinience or other things, that is just fine as long as you just put there the amount you needed. If you will be saving them, don't do it in a hot storage do it in a cold storage. That is more secure and you have the keys to prove that it is yours.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which website do you usually go to get your news and casino reviews? on: July 14, 2020, 01:04:45 PM
I just do some google searches about it but usually I check it here in the forum. Some threads here discuss some of those sites and their best festure and offers for gamblers. I also discovered new sites here and they also give honest opinions, even experiences to that site.
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: July 12, 2020, 09:40:23 PM
yet you know the risk when it comes to health concern. Its up to your choice though but for me, it isnt really worth to go out as long the vaccine isnt available yet.

Vaccine may not available till 2021 it seems. Hence we must focus on living with all available opportunity right away. Waiting for what we had by 2019, may lead to big frustrations as restoration may not happen one or two weeks of time even vaccine arrives.

That is so true. We will be suffering for more since it been warned that there are another virus from China and our government also warned the people that we are still not done with HIV. 2020 really is the worst year since I was born and I know a lot of people will agree. We can't really do anything about it all we can do now is to keep surviving, keep working while keeping ourselves safe.

I guess we will be sticking to esports betting for a long time. I suggest people study the teams or maybe follow this thread, it will help you.
934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Art of Exploiting vs the Bad Habit of Scamming on: July 12, 2020, 08:55:38 PM
Most of my answers on those numbered questions are the same as the others so I would start here.

What of the above is an exploit and what is a scam ? Where does an exploit start and a scam begin ?

I agree that there is this line between exploit and scamming and I guess it should not be exploiting but cheating. It is unfair for a scam to be compared with exploit since exploit can be ended with a good cause while scam is bad and it just ends there. A scam in gambling is usually on the part of the owner of the site like lying for that provably fair or maybe saying that there are supports 24/7 but they don't really care most of the time.

And what about fixed matches ? These matches do exist, every day there is match fixing, but most of the time we gladly don't know or aren't aware. If you (get to) know about a fixed match and bet on it, does that make you a scammer/cheater ?

You are a cheater. That is an exploit in your side, those players are the scammers since people think they are playing seriously but they are not. @Lakai already said it and these team or group are scamming those people usually for the sake of money.

Gambling is a (most of the time unfair) competition in the end. Should the "software factor" be completely called immoral and unethical behaviour, when you take advantage of it ? If there is a line for you, where is it ?

Well, that is cheating and that is just unethical behaviour since you take advantage of it but if not, then that is just good, you know. This depends though on how you found that exploit, right? If you did some hacking and dived to their system, then that is just immoral and unethical behavior but still could end up good, isn't it since we have a white hat and a black hat hackers. As @Upgrade00 said, the intent is both important on two sides since that usually will be the deciding factor of whether they will be taking advantage of it or not.

I don't know if this is in purpose or not but all I know is that people and countries are actually taking advantage of the situation. They are doing it for themselves and for the country, I guess everyone would do the same.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was your experience trading cryptocurrency? on: July 12, 2020, 12:17:33 AM
My first trading experience was when i tried selling some few tokens i earned from airdrop, due to complexities of decntralized exchanges, it was quite difficult for me to navigate around the exchange but i took up trading courses and months later, i was able to trade on any kind of exchange

That is really amazing. I can't take those courses because I am always at work. Most of the thing I knew in trading and investing in crypto currencies are from this forum and I am really grateful since there are those people that even shares their strategies and other investements they have.

It is still hard since I can't stand on my own but still, slowly, I am getting used to the changes.
938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't this the best time for Bitcoin? on: July 11, 2020, 10:45:44 PM
It's not the best time cause China is launching its governmental digital coin. That's it, guys. BTC will be the same as USD but digital and trackable. So no, it's not the fairytale time now for BTC

Bro, they are still in testing and it is said that it will be part of their preparation for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. And I don't know where did you get the info or maybe you can link it here that bitcoin will be trackable and the same as USD? Though I agree that it is not that best time to use bitcoin since the value of it is unpredictable so people would save it.
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: July 11, 2020, 10:09:41 PM
ranks matter a lot wen bettin on cs and watc out of unranked teams it spells fix or upset

It also talks about greatest upset in the history. I know that it is rare to happen but esports are usually balanced that sometimes what makes team lose is the player's state while in the game. Still, just follow this thread bro, it will help you a lot.
940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 11, 2020, 08:35:14 PM
I have different accounts that I use and each and everyone of them have different crypto currencies in it that I use to gamble. Litecoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Ripple and even EOS. I don't really have a favorite since I don't mind using them. I want to gamble, then I do. If that happens nothing is my favorite except enjoying my time gambling.
