961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help with python code on: October 04, 2023, 09:14:20 PM
I don't post my seed at anyplace I have it on paper writed by hand, I'm totally noob programing I do it correcting what a AI do for me.

I already told you recently from your previous thread you can use the FinderOuter tool to brute-force your seed phrase it doesn't require programming skill.
And take note don't use AI to generate a script to brute-force your seed it generates sometimes unrelated codes that you can't use in brute-forcing a seed or it might generate a code that can leak your seed phrase.
962  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My antminer s19 shows 0 real time hash rate on: October 04, 2023, 01:51:57 AM
If your miner is running you can see its hashing on the miner's dashboard you might be just excited to see your real-time hashrate on the pool you need to wait for a while before you can see the real-time hashrate on the pool.

Can you mention here what pool do you mine? You can switch to another pool to try.
963  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Revolut bitcoin deposit on: October 03, 2023, 06:15:36 PM
I used Revolut before due to their VCC but Crypto was not yet supported at that time, my country is not supported so I hired someone to create an account and deposit into my account and it took a day before they credited the funds.

So if you made a deposit just recently it might take 24 hours before it is credited.
However, according to the help page you provided, it should be instant or within 2 hours, and no proper explanation.

If it's more than 24 hours and it is still pending I suggest contact support.
964  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: How update S3 cgminer? on: October 03, 2023, 11:11:51 AM
Code:
GH/S(5m)1535.382	GH/S(15m)4976.036	GH/S(avg)25446.428

This is normal? I mean, It's ok?

That's your miner's hashrate but, weirdly, the average took 25446.428GH/s or around 25TH/s?

How about the reported hashrate on the pool dashboard?

Run it first for a while until it stabilizes let's see if the hashrate is still the same.
965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two guys that have lost their Bitcoins forever on: October 03, 2023, 10:57:41 AM
I was thinking about the first guy Stefan why he doesn't try to brute force the drive but when I searched a bit it seems the Ironkey hard drive is encrypted if you made 10 incorrect attempts the whole data will automatically be erased.
Never heard about Ironkey it's a good storage for important data but not a good storage for a Crypto wallet.

How about cloning the whole drive?
It seems not possible for Ironkey so he can't recover the password and its contents.

About the 2nd guy, this is the reason why all my drive is in my safety box and sealed even if their hardware is broken, maybe in the future I could still recover some of my old data and LTC that I earned before from the faucet when the price of BTC is around $200. The drive is undetectable until now I didn't throw it because I can still move the disc into a new host.
Since James mentioned where the hard drive is located I believe some people are attempting to go there and try their luck to find the hard drive.
966  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: S17 produce only discarded shares on Braiins with stock firmware on: October 03, 2023, 09:29:07 AM
Changing to static did not help.
It makes no sense. Why only the S17 pro? Why not S19 or S17e? There must be something wrong. They worked before...

We do not know, it's Braiins pool, why not ask the support why?
You can contact or submit a ticket about your issue on the link below.

I think Braiins wants/forcing you to use their firmware?
Would you mind to try their firmware and boot your S17 units through SD card?

The firmware is available here https://braiins.com/os/plus let see if it would work.
967  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Mining Pool for testnet bitcoin on: October 03, 2023, 09:02:28 AM
Since tBTC doesn't have any value I'm sure no one will host a testnet pool and I never heard that there is a public testnet pool.

What you can only do is to run a fully sync testnet node and mine.

Why not focus in your testnet pool or mine directly to your node without a pool. You might get some idea from this post below.

968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I need a mentor in my bitcoin journey. on: October 02, 2023, 05:07:09 PM
If having a mentor is free why not?
However, the knowledge of a mentor is limited you still need to research and ask to other experts, or here on the forum always remember smart people always ask questions.

You can start reading how to avoid scammers below since there are many scammers in the Crypto world.

970  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: How update S3 cgminer? on: October 02, 2023, 12:46:07 PM

Thanks for your reply. In my s3 the cgminer is the version 4.6.1-1, but in the net I find cgminer 4.11.

Cgminer 4.11 was released in 2018 but Bitmain's last update firmware for S3 is 2014.
They are no longer releasing new firmware for this unit unless someone here on the forum has custom firmware.

I tried to search a bit and it seems Kano has a custom firmware for this check the old post below.

You can try to contact Kano he might be able to give you a custom firmware or a guide to update Cgminer.

971  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: S17 produce only discarded shares on Braiins with stock firmware on: October 02, 2023, 12:24:12 PM
If other pools works fine then the issue is the Braiins pool.

Have you set up your all s17 in static mode?
If not try to set them into static mode and make sure to add Cloudflare or Google DNS.

If it's already set up in static mode but it's not hashing try to set them all to DHCP mode.

If it still does not work then you don't have other choice but to mine in other pools.
972  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: How update S3 cgminer? on: October 02, 2023, 12:04:03 PM
If this is Antminer S3 no latest firmware from Bitmain contains the latest Cgminer.

Now, I see why you made a post from an old thread because you see S19 XP firmware under the S3 download page that you think is the latest firmware for this unit but it's not. Maybe Bitmain incorrectly put S19 XP firmware on the S3 download page.
973  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How To Buy A Domain Name With Bitcoin on: October 02, 2023, 01:03:21 AM

Namecheap is my go-to domain registrar for TLD,  this is a good tutorial but I feel that there are some important information and features Namecheap is offering that OP did not include.

I might create my own tutorial on Namecheap registration since this is about Buying a domain with a Bitcoin tutorial and include those missing features.

Not only missing features but the guide is only for the debit/credit card method because if you are going to buy a domain on Namecheap you should top-up your wallet first and deposit Bitcoin. So the missing guide is how to top-up your account wallet.

If you are going to make a guide make sure to include a top-up guide which is not included on this topic.
974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: SAFEPAL SEED on: October 01, 2023, 07:47:27 PM
Like the above said safepal uses the BIP39 seed phrase and you have one wrong phrase. It should be easy to recover the wrong phrase.

There are two tools that I know you can use to recover the wrong phrase one is the BTCrecovery which is already mentioned above and the 2nd one is the FinderOuter recovery tool this one has a GUI and is easier to use than BTCrecover. You can find this tool from the link below including the guide.

975  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: S17 produce only discarded shares on Braiins with stock firmware on: October 01, 2023, 07:34:09 PM
What do you mean "produce deiscarded"?
Are you talking about rejected shares? Or are you talking about flashing it to stock firmware but rejected? Because Braiins is not a stock firmware of Bitmain.

If you talking about rejected shares can you share your miner's logs here so that we can analyze the issue?

The reason might be overheating which causes a high rejection rate.
Sometimes high rejected shares is due to high ping or due to other hardware issue.

You can try to reduce the power limit on the Braiins dashboard and then update here if it fixes your issue.
976  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Subaccounts in Bitget on: October 01, 2023, 06:53:05 AM
Bitget is an exchange I can't find an announcement if the deposit addresses they generated from the exchange are separated or linked.

However, most businesses including Bitget use one wallet(single seed) to manage all wallet addresses.
If they make a separate wallet storing multiple seed backups or private keys is pretty hard and too risky to manage.

If you know how to use a gateway payment like BTCpayserver you can manage all addresses in one wallet generated from Electrum by importing the xPub.

A single seed backup contains infinite keys(based on what Google said) is it not enough to manage all addresses generated from exchanges?

Binance have separate wallets to ensure the safety of their customer's funds but they only transfer them from the exchange to other wallet. If I remember correctly they have 4 separate wallets.
977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some business/developers misunderstand how bitcoin fees works on: October 01, 2023, 04:41:30 AM
I'm looking for any reason why the transaction fees drop but I can't find anything.
The only thing that I notice is the massive drop in transactions these days according to Blockchain transaction counts chart.
It seems that people are no longer panicked from recent FUD events or is there another reason?

If this topic is pointed to the miners about fees miners don't have full control about the fees. The transaction fees suggested by mempool.space are based on network congestion and it is just an estimation not so accurate, by default mining pools prioritize transactions with high fees to give incentives to their miners.
Only mining pools have full control of what transactions they would like to add on the block they mine not their miners(except for individual or solo miner with big mining farms.)
978  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Help with CGMiner! on: October 01, 2023, 12:54:06 AM
~snip~

Does your USB hub have separate power?

Check the power supply it might not giving enough power if you have an extra power supply you can test it or try to run your miner one by one.
Also, make sure the USB hub is connected only to USB2, not USB3.

If it still doesn't work you might need to reinstall everything on the RPi4 you can follow the guide on Kano.is or check the troubleshooting guide below

980  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Guide on mining testnet btc on: September 30, 2023, 11:13:08 PM
Please don't quote the post or edit the quote it looks messy.

Also, any idea on how to configure the rpc server? The UI has an option to check it in the setting. But do I need to configure it maybe via CLI? Probably would need to open a port?

By adding server=1 into bitcoin.conf it should enable the RPC to accept RPC commands.

The default RPC port is 8332 you can edit it and change to other port by adding this parameter rpcport=8332 to bitcoin.conf.

According to the documentation enabling the RPC port to host outside your trusted local network is not recommended because the RPC password is transmitted to the network unencrypted.

The guide can be found from the link below including this note.
- bitcoin.conf example

It was removed from Bitcoin Core because they added a new dev tool called gen-bitcoin-conf.sh so the link that I provided above is from the commits.
