981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: June 16, 2023, 07:12:31 PM
According to research, when a man loses a gamble, there's a machismo attached to him saying, "Yeah, I lost £500, but I can afford it."[/b]

That's pretty much true. Men are not crybabies or we try hard not to look like one. Women on the other hand are emotional creatures and they can't handle high stress environments for very long. They tend to lose their cool pretty fast. A man might lose half of his life savings and that will hit him in the head like hitting a brick but he won't say a word about it. He will go on like nothing has happened. If someone asks him about it, he will tell that it was no biggie.  Grin In reality, he just had a major fuck up obviously. But no, we can't cry like a woman. What good is it gonna do anyway? Getting stressed and crying ain't gonna solve anything. So men are doing the right thing.
982  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: all egyptians must stop visiting freebitco.in on: June 15, 2023, 07:44:40 PM
Freebitco.in is a good website. For whatever reason you can't access the website, I am pretty sure it is not their fault. If what you said is true, (freebitco.in banned Egypt completely) then you shouldn't tell the Egyptians not to visit the website anyway. If I remember correctly you can play on that with website while using a VPN and it is not a reason for a ban. People that have good income there will find a way to collect their earnings. Why would you want the Egyptian people to lose their earnings? That's not a good advice. Some people have hundreds of active refs there... Do you think they will abandon their business just because you said so?
983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A portion of my clothing store's weekly profit is invested in Bitcoin on: June 14, 2023, 07:37:16 PM
I have a small cloth shop. Currently everything in my own country is very expensive, so we are facing many problems in our life. The shop I have used to sell well. But now due to the increase in price, there are not as many customers or sales as before. Again. On top of that I have to pay rent for the shop which has become a bit difficult for me. After entering this platform I got to know Bitcoin. Then after browsing many places I realized that I can earn money by investing in Bitcoin. So I want to invest in Bitcoin. So I have my weekly I decided to invest in bitcoin from a profit share. I think I made the right decision. I hope that I can use my bitcoin profit for other purposes. Hope you guys can help me with good advice.

That's the best investment strategy. It is called "dollar cost averaging". Investing lump sum has the possibility of generating better returns but it is just a "possibility" if you don't know how to make educated guesses. DCA'ing on the other hand, will give you the market average and since BTC goes only upwards in the long term, you will likely to make profits. Just hodl tight and don't panic. In the upcoming months the markets might go ape shit because of the FED.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 14, 2023, 05:03:55 AM
They can ban btc all they want. They will never know what I do with my coins. That’s the whole point of crypto. I have zero fear of the government when I use crypto because it is impossible for them to know what I am doing. They don’t have the resources and they don’t have the brains. So fuck em. They can ban it all they want and I don’t give a single flying fuck. Crypto has changed the world forever. The govs may not realize it yet but soon they will find out.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges on: June 13, 2023, 07:52:07 PM
Hey, everyone   Smiley
I have recently started to be interested in the issue of cryptocurrency, please, tell me which exchanges are considered the safest and most convenient?

Binance and Kucocin have been the best ones for the last 4-5 years I think. Kucoin isn't much mainstream anymore but you don't hear any complaints about them too. Binance on the other hand is the rockstar of thecrypto exchanges. Simply #1. Then there are exchanges like Kraken, Gemini and Coinbase. I don't know much about Gemini and Kraken but I definitely don't recommend Coinbase. I don't trust them.

Overall, you simply can't go wrong with Binance.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who takes over Manchester United ? on: June 12, 2023, 01:57:58 AM
Your odds?? I don't get... Is there something I'm missing??
Can I get that straight... Is anyone supposed to debate/wager who's gonna buy the club?? Are there such option??...
Those Arabians are fuckin' rich and the value of Thier currency is worth more than ours - atleast... It's usually for anyone that places the higher bid, uuhhh, but sometimes there are usually some conditions anyways - since some billionaires don't even know how to finance and manage a club, which seems to be the most important part of the team's success... So personally, I Feel the dude from Qatar will go with it.

Sandra 🧑‍🦰

True. The Arabs will win this one too. Their money is worth more than GBP because they have that black liquid coming out of their soil and the whole world needs that liquid. If this continues like this, soon the Arabs will own Europe completely. They already own many football teams but I don’t think football teams are the only thing they own there. Since they have more money than anyone else, they will own every other failing asset the Europeans couldn’t manage successfully.

Similar stuff happened in Greece. Greece couldn’t pay their debt to Germany in the past and now they are living as a defacto German state.
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bhutan's Secret Crypto Investments: A Game-Changing Strategy for Small Nations? on: June 12, 2023, 01:24:41 AM
Bhutan was wise to invest in crypto. They probably see the death of FIAT in the future just like any of us bitcoiners. However, I don’t understand why they made investments in secret? Are they afraid of their citizens’ response? As a government It is no good to make investments without informing your people because some people might see this as an act of gambling. And if that’s the case then that means the government is doing it against the will of their people and I can’t approve this.
988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin must surpass gold on: June 11, 2023, 03:39:30 AM
Bitcoin is not perfect, nothing is. In some ways gold is better than Bitcoin and will always be. Gold doesn't depend on software, on computer networks, on cryptography, gold can't be stolen by malware, gold will not be useless during blackout.

These are actually valid arguments. Bitcoin is man-made and like anything that was made by men, it may or may not fail. I know it is ultimately based on math but look at the latest Ordinals/NFT stuff happened... the network was already crowded enough and NFT's made it even worse. What makes you think that the next update won't break bitcoin for good? We can't know that. No matter how many hours you test the software before the launch, there is still a chance that you will find a bug later on...

Every new update makes bitcoin more complicated and more prone to the new attack vectors. Segwit was cool but now the btc network is starting to look like a total mess.

Gold on the other hand has been running the same software (which is physics) since day 0. Never had an update because it never needed any. I think that's a big achievement over crypto.

If God had made Bitcoin, he would have made it so perfect that it wouldn't need any updates in the future...
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 10, 2023, 02:53:21 PM
A crypto casino should not enforce KYC on its users imo. Pure crypto casinos don't have to do any KYC because they don't need to have any gambling licenses. So the real question is, why don't we see more of those pure-crypto/non-FIAT casinos? Freebitco.in has no gambling license, they don't accept any stable coins or FIAT and they have been in the business for nearly 10 years I believe. More casinos should follow freebitco.in's route or else we will always see those KYC complaints forever. The players have the power to make a change here.
990  Other / Politics & Society / Re: marriage is everybody problems! on: June 10, 2023, 11:45:49 AM
just like business, when the business goes bad, it is everybody else problem, everybody, every taxpayer gotta bailout the bad business that goes broke, everyone would pay the taxes.

we all hope the husband would fix and help the marriage on his own. that is a wiseful thinking. i saw many married men have this very funny opinion, they always talk about their life suck, and foreveralone guy is better. It is clear to me now, he can't tix his marriage problem alone, when he got married, it is everybody else problems, it is the entire nations problems, it is internationally problem, everybody else gotta bailout the marriage!

Marriage is a business too. A marriage is a company with 2 partners. The male partner is often at a disadvantage financially because of the marriage law. It is a bad business practice. A male should be a lone wolf and rent sex when he is in need. I am usually against the subscription services but his is one of those moments where paying for a subscription makes more sense than buying the product. It is because in this example, the product loses its value over time. Just like FIAT. FIAT and sex partners lose their value over time unlike gold and bitcoin, which become more valuable as time goes on. Why would you want to invest in something that is going to have less worth tomorrow? It is against common sense. You should always rent these types of assets.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you Considered a Career in Betting Consultancy? on: June 10, 2023, 07:30:54 AM
No. That’s because I am not particularly interested in gambling. So I won’t be a successful betting consultant. I could become a consultant of something else probably. Being an investing consultant would suit me a lot better because of my experience in the field. Still though, I would rather be a gambling consultant than being a gambler because consultants work for a fee. They make money whether the customer wins or loses and that’s a good business model. No risks involved. They are only selling their knowledge for money. If I had good knowledge and interest in gambling, I would definitely think about being a consultant.
992  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: June 09, 2023, 07:57:26 PM
With the current issue in the crypto world between Cz (Changpeng Zhao) Ceo of binance and the Sec, I support Cz with reasons that binance has done alot to earn it's communities trust, helping millions of users in the crypto ecosystem, and has more durable marketing strategy whereas the Sec is government driven and wants to control everybody.
It's unfair that the sec is suppressing a private cooperation that's helping to grow & build the crypto world, binance is helping everybody including crypto whales and newbies and a fight against binance is against the world.
What's your say on this?

CZ of course. However, it is not like I am in love with CZ. It is because I hate the SEC way more. The SEC should leave crypto alone. It is not the SEC's responsibility to make rules over crypto. Crypto ain't no securities so SEC should gtfo and CZ should close the exchange that serves the US customers. It is nothing but trouble to do any business with the US. The rest of the world should sanction US till they get their shit together because lots of people pissed of by the paranoia of the US government.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: June 09, 2023, 06:37:42 PM
I think that play is a very big lesson to everyone in the contemporary world. So if your children are not interested to learn bitcoin please don't force them. Everyone has their own destiny.

True. Forcing people to like something backfires a lot in my experience. For example, should the daughter of a great singer also needs to be a singer? Maybe she wants to be an engineer... Maybe she will just hate singing... That shit always happens.  Just because we are so much into crypto don't mean our kids will like crypto too. Everybody in this life creates his/her own luck. No matter how much you tell people that they should invest in this, you should invest in that, they will never listen to you. They will do whatever they have in their minds.
994  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: June 09, 2023, 06:23:48 PM
Rich or poor, one should save money whenever he/she can. Saving only won't be enough though. You should also invest your money so it can grow. Otherwise that money will lose its purchasing power to the inflation. Buying crypto, stocks, gold, real estate... all of those are better than saving FIAT. It is even better if that asset is creating a streaming cash flow. Real Estate is great for that purpose because you can find a tenant and make a passive income. Lots of people self-retired that way. Why go to work when your assets do it for you?
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Apple Vision Pro and its Implication in Online Gambling on: June 09, 2023, 06:30:24 AM
On June 5th, Apple released Apple Vision Pro, calling it their first spatial computer. It is an amazing piece of technology and innovation. They continuously push the boundaries of what is possible. I watched the introduction on YouTube, and it was terrific.

Same shit different day... VR/AR is vaporware. It will never take off. They should come up with better ideas instead of this outdated tech. They already tried the VR thing and people didn't like it back then, what makes them think people will like it now? It is a good tech if you want to fry your brain faster but other than this, it has no use. Just like metaverse, they are burning the investors' cash on nothingburger. I am disappointed to see that a trillion dollar worth company is not capable of bringing any new and exciting tech anymore.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: June 08, 2023, 06:24:03 PM
every patience will always result in calm in playing, that is why patience is necessary when gambling, don't be in too much of a hurry to get big wins or big money, as long as you play calmly and be patient, luck will definitely come when the time comes, even though there are many defeats.

Newbies in every area of money-related stuff always show that state of impatience when hoping to archive a good results they had expected, but it doesn't really work the way they plan it in their heads. For example, the first day and first time I placed a bet on gambling (sport), I did not sleep well that night. I was just waiting impatiently for the next morning to arrive so that March would start. I almost lost my cool. I felt that I would win the game, and I have already begun to make plans for what I will use the money to do if I win, but unfortunately the game got busted, and I still staked on another game. I did so over and over again and kept losing, but I was enlightened, so I changed my gambling habit. If one is not patient, they will definitely gamble more than they plan to and may likely incur more losses. I agree with you.

I think the OP is mixing patience with greed and he thinks they both mean the same thing I guess. You can be impatient but if you are not greedy you can still be in a good position. Like you said, a person may impatiently wait for the next game but that doesn't mean he is going to make a bet he is going to regret later. If he somehow controls his greed while betting then there won't be any harm in doing that imo. If the player is both impatient and greedy then that's the worst combination, a recipe for a disaster. He will lose his bankroll so quickly, soon he will find himself a homeless man.
997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do, should do, or not do as Bitcoin supporters at this time? on: June 08, 2023, 06:14:26 PM
We have already heard about the Binance and Coinbase cases with the SEC. There is even a rumor that another centralized exchange is about to declare bankruptcy. The message all over the internet is 'withdraw your bitcoin from exchanges.' Despite this apparent attack, Bitcoin's price remains fairly stable. It is having no effect. But then, do we just sit back and do nothing aside from saying to avoid centralized exchanges? What can we do or should do, or not do as Bitcoin supporters at this time?

That message isn't new. People  shouldn't have kept their coins on the exchanges in the first place. "Not your keys, not your coins." What you gonna do if somehow binance goes "poof" tomorrow without any explanation of what happened? What if they say "the SEC came by and took all (y)our coins." Even if you somehow manage to get back your coins from them, who knows how long you will wait for that. Keeping your life savings on a crypto exchange is a huge gamble and if something goes wrong you will pay for your mistake. It happened many times before and it will happen again in the future.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever felt remorse after gambling? on: June 08, 2023, 08:08:18 AM
I saw this online and thought maybe i should bring on to bitcointalk for discussion.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?

If you feel that way, it means you did something shouldn't have. I felt remorse before too and in my case that was exactly what happened. I was greedy, I wagered more than I shouldn't have and then I lost. I wouldn't care if I had won of course but we don't think like that when we gamble. We always think the better outcome will play. We never accept the possibility that we will come out as losers. In the end the math don't lie, the only winner in the long run is the house.
999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are physical exchanges in your neighborhood. on: June 07, 2023, 06:15:03 PM
~Do you think those dealers are safe?
~And what's the fate  of physical  cryptocurrency exchanges(r) in your country?

Let's  discuss

I have never experienced any problems with the physical dealers. Never heard of any problems too. I think the chances of encountering with a problem in a reputable crypto dealer is pretty slim. I think your example is a bad one because that security guard clearly made a mistake and people make mistakes. They probably fired that dude too. Just because that one bad incident happened, it doesn't mean these dealers are crap. People do have problems with all kinds of online crypto exchanges everyday (sometimes they even get hacked!) and yet, millions of people still use them.
1000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are giving too much importance to exchanges on: June 07, 2023, 06:09:34 PM
Exchanges and BTC are 2 different things. One exchange going down doesn't mean BTC must follow.
Binance will disappear? I don't give a damn.

Exchanges are the FIAT gates. The truth is, there isn't much you can do with crypto other than trading. If people can't do that, what are they gonna do? Yes they can buy certain stuff with crypto but the adoption is nowhere near the use of the credit cards. Most people use crypto to make more FIAT and because of that they hold most of their crypto on the exchanges. Once a big exchange starts giving bad signs, people naturally panic and dump their positions so they can get back to FIAT quickly...
