Eto me, zelenim se cijeli Grin Nikad u životu nisam imao hw wallet, jednostavno mi nije bilo napeto Cheesy Ali ne bih htio ovo osvojit, tak da ak slučajno izletim, slobodno me preskoči i daj nekome kome bi bilo zanimljivo igrat se s time.
Cry       Cry
     Cry

1822  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: AirGap wallet- Self custody made simple and secure - Protect your crypto offline on: May 26, 2023, 12:16:43 PM
Is it possible to exchange Bitcoin for cash, or only bank accounts and credit(debit cards are accepted?
I checked out your latest blog post and mtpelerin website but I couldn't find anything about that information.
This is cool stuff and I am supporting anything kyc-free, but I don't get it why should anyone use air-gapped devices for selling/buying bitcoin.

EDIT:
OK, i found Selling Crypto page on Mtpeleri with more information:
https://www.mtpelerin.com/support#selling
1823  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: PeachBitcoin.com | P2P Bitcoin Exchange 🍑 #kycfree on: May 26, 2023, 11:45:54 AM
Reading your definition of it and after listening to the podcast section, I would say that yes, it is the same license. This is mostly because your information matches with my bullet points - they want to protect the code to be used by other people and prevent (exterior) financial benefit.
This license is better than closed source but it's clearly not open source.
I don't want this to become industry standard, just because you don't want someone else to fork your code (and maybe improve it).
However,  this is still better than current license they are using now, but they shouldn't put open source label on it.

It would only be fair to let people use the code freely by e.g. launching a modified version of the code, for instance to make a Monero exchange or whatnot. Then, the original project can learn from the bug fixes and modifications of the 'fork team' and implement those changes, too. Win-win.
I guess we should all thank ''NVK coldcard'' for this invention... shame(not) Satoshi was not so ''smart'' to do the same thing with Bitcoin license  Tongue

1824  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BetterCallRaul.it Domain Scam confirmed on: May 26, 2023, 11:31:38 AM
After @Bitcoin_Arena said they were a ripoff of eXch's site. I went to exch to find the following
People should also be very careful and not blindly trusting websites like kycnot.me, but checking their changelog is a good idea.
Apparently Bettercallraul was also listed there and few days ago they got delisted.
Maybe they got inspiration for eXch plagiarism on that website.

Quote
Bettercallraul.it - Website seems to have been (fakely) seized: https://archive.is/6p3rq. Also some reports of exit scam have been received.
https://kycnot.me/changelog

Also looks like the person behind the project is doxxed completely:
I can't believe that he is that stupid.
He probably purchased some fake identity and registered with that on yahoo finance.
1825  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] SINBAD.IO [Mix Your BTC Quickly] Signature Campaign | Up-to $150/w on: May 26, 2023, 11:01:38 AM
I see the same value here.
Maybe there was some unconfirmed transactions when you saw
Is there any way to do the same thing but add customization and show number of confirmations and/or unconfirmed transactions?
1826  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BetterCallRaul.it Domain Scam confirmed on: May 26, 2023, 08:47:52 AM
Can you add more information that might lead to their identification? They don't seem to be professionals, and with a little tracking, we will find that their deposits have ended up on a KYC centralized platform.
Does anyone know the exact date the site was taken down, it may have occurred some time before OmegaStarScream's response
They probably used some centralized exchanges, but if I remember correctly they had other privacy coins on their website, so it's not that hard to mask transaction paths.

Payment up front is something we (Cro 2) insist on when running any sort of campaign or competition on forum. We don't work with companies that aren't serius and feel like few months worth of escrowed funds are necessary to show commitment and atrract good members.
I don't know how other campaign managers are doing their work, but if I was working as one I would be very strict and ask for that extra bit of security.
Then again, I would probably be a bad manager and mess something else in the process, because I suspect that anything can be a scam until proven differently Smiley

1828  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 12 word vs 24 word seed on: May 25, 2023, 09:14:28 PM
I notice that ledger allows for a 24 word seed phrase, electrum uses a 12 word seed.  Also I see that a 24 word seed from ledger can be imported into electrum.  Is a 12 word seed generally viewed as a safe route from a security point of view?
Twelve words are perfectly safe, and some security experts even claim that it is easier to keep safe (and maybe even remembered) 12 words instead of 24, and there is lees chance of making any mistakes.
However, I wouldn't dare of trusting my brain and memory for storing seed words, especially when I have perfectly good stainless steel and perfectly simple piece of paper.
Always remember to first check if seed words correct by restoring wallet and testing with small transaction, than make multiple backups.

1830  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinsbee.com - Buy gift cards with 150+ crypto currencies and for 2000+ Brands! on: May 25, 2023, 08:56:29 PM
We have visa and mastercard back in stock!
Can this Visa/Mastercard cards be purchased and used without kyc?
I tried few of them from different companies and I want to make comparison with Coinsbee.
1831  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: PeachBitcoin.com | P2P Bitcoin Exchange #kycfree on: May 25, 2023, 08:51:45 PM
Sure, but I prefer reading code instead. Only code gives you the full picture and confidence about what data is really collected and uploaded to their servers.
I agree, even if I am not developer and can't read the code very well, but I know other security experts will do it.
Good news is that Peach devs announced they are moving everything to opensource, but without any eta.
It would be best if they could say more about that, since they are already registered in forum.

The planned license to implement in the MITCC. MITCC basically allows any user to use the code to create another application but aren't able to create a company based on the code used (by Peach Wallet).
Dies MITCC means MIT Common Clause license?
If that is the case, than this is not really open source license, similar stuff is used by Coldcard and this is verifiable code.
I will have to find some time to listen that podcast.
1832  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BetterCallRaul.it Domain Seized or Scammed on: May 25, 2023, 08:35:26 PM
It's confirmed BetterCallRaul.it rug pulled and scammed us 0.05836495 BTC which they were supposed to spend in their signature campaign. I was considering, it's just a normal delay from them being busy
Flag supported.
I think it's better to ask for payments in advance whenever you are working with some new crypto company, that way you will save yourself a lot of trouble down the road.
There was something fishy last time I asked few questions BetterCallRaul, but I can't remember what exactly was that.
I think they probably received larger amount of coins from someone to exchange and they decided to keep it for themselves  Tongue

It's a shame, and highly low value moral from whoever behind the BetterCallRaul.it project.
Scammers don't live by moral codes, but photoshopping CM seized image was a real circus show.
1833  Other / Meta / Re: [get yours] Images from imgur + All links to your own posts on: May 25, 2023, 08:11:02 PM
Imgur-images are working again, but we don't know for how long. So get yours Smiley
I suspect they will bring  them down again in near future, so backing everything up was a good idea.
This is probably delayed because of feedback they received from Reddit community that is much bigger than bitcointalk.
When I first saw images working again I was thinking theymos did some kind of magic trick with your help and with script.  Cheesy

Ma znao sam ja da je dkbit98 dobro povezan u toj industriji, sad čekam da bitbox izbaci svoj "bitbox98" kao omaž Cheesy
Da, Special Edition bitbox98 World Cup France  Cool

1835  Other / Meta / Re: Poll on solving the imgur issue on: May 24, 2023, 09:37:05 PM
I'd like to create a page which recommends services for hosting forum images, and mention this in the error message you get when you try to use imgur. Other than TalkImg, which ones are good?
Imgbb.com worked fine when I used it, and I saw other forum members saying that postimages.org is a good alternative.
Note that I didn't research how strict they are with proxy and other things, but it's certainly good to have several image uploading alternatives available.
1836  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Recovery - Send your (encrypted) recovery phrase to 3rd parties entities on: May 24, 2023, 09:19:57 PM
I'm sure Ledger know this, but are being deliberately misleading in the defense of their new vulnerability feature.
But it's only $9.99 per month, plus lifetime access to your keys, and you are safu up to $50k.
Sounds like a ''great'' deal, right Cool

Yes and no. Ledger is deliberately setting up a false equivalence of trust.
Let me remind everyone that Chinese hardware wallet Safepal is currently doing exactly the same thing as ledger, they are sending keys to google and iCloud  Roll Eyes
1837  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: GameBoy Hardware Wallet! on: May 24, 2023, 09:13:13 PM
I still have a Gameboy Pocket lying around in my drawers somewhere. What a cool reason to search for it and see if it's still working. Last time I checked, it was, but there were some connectivity issues with the device and cable. Nevertheless, it can always take batteries if the cable fails. The cartridges between the original Gameboy and the Gameboy Pocket should be the same.
This Gameboy thing is more expensive as times passes, and I wish I kept many of my old devices but life happens and they end up as junk.
I think best version of Gameboy was created only for Japan and it was called Gameboy Color, but mst Gamboy devices have no backlight.

Someone who knows what they are talking about should comment if such a device can generate enough randomness? This could be a successful project if it's completely trustless and they figure out how to sign transactions. Question is, how to export the PSBT from the Gameboy's memory or cartridge to a different medium?
I wouldn't count on achieving true randomness in this way, but option to import your own seed phrase would be enough.
But please don't use GameWallet for storing all your coins  Wink
1838  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Suite Lite for mobile on: May 24, 2023, 09:00:54 PM
The main goal of hardware wallets is to generate your private key in an environment that is not and will not be connected to the internet, so if there is any hardware wallet application that allows you to import private keys, it is best to stop using it and (destroy that wallet) Joking Tongue.
Importing seed phrase with a QR code scan could be a good idea for all hardware wallets with camera, and this can potentially increase security of that device.
Some DIY devices (like Krux)are using this technique to compensate for the lack of secure element for protection, and this does mean you would have to have QR code each time when you start your device.
For Hardware wallets with secure elements this could be used as optional feature.

For privacy only reason, the ability to connect to Tor is supposed to be integrated, but according to the above, there is no option for that, so you can trust that Trezor Suite nodes will not send your IP addresses to a third party.
I am not sure how good Tor or mobile devices really is, it's totally different situation on desktop computers.

Welcome to Bitcointalk forum and thank you for sponsoring this giveaway!
My suggestion is for BitBox team to create official dedicated topic in Hardware Wallet section, fo answering all the questions and posting updates.
This is what other hardware wallet manufacturers are doing, like Passport, Coldcard, Satochip, with few others (Keystone, Trezor in past.=
