2261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe keep my money in cloud? on: November 16, 2022, 04:44:21 AM
I keep my crypto folio on goodle drive and partial on one drive.
I read reminder news on top page and still doubt to keep staying or moving it.

what your thought?

It seems like a bad joke that you have chosen for your nickname: "Not your key not your BTC"

No, it has already been explained to you. Move those funds from the cloud to cold storage ASAP if you don't want to lose them. I hope we are talking about low amounts, I can't imagine you have millions and are asking that question.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A disheartening true life winning story on: November 16, 2022, 04:35:23 AM
According to the article, in 5 days will be the next hearing, and I hope we will have news of what happens, although trials can drag on for a long time and maybe nothing relevant will happen.

I also believe like most who have commented that the lottery winner has everything to win the trial before the Lagos lottery company, although in matters of law you can never take anything for granted. In any case, if the company had a problem with its system, the user does not have to pay for it.
2263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bought 8000 lottery tickets on: November 16, 2022, 04:28:22 AM
Lol, a great plan, buying a lot of lottery tickets, as if it was a good way to earn money, good thing he supposedly earns a lot of money passively because throwing money away like that is a sure way to bankruptcy.

Unfortunately, he did not understand he was supposed to keep his stories to a single thread and stop acting so rude towards other respected users of this section.
Anyways, if the guy wanted to "troll" and create a fanbase of people to admire his reckless gambling he could have gone directly to Twitter instead, that platform is way better for micro-blogging.

Oh, I just realized he was autobanned. Better for the forum. He entertained us with his stories, but a bit of a troll and reactive. Plus in this case I don't think he's going to be unbanned in any way. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he creates another account to continue trolling.
2264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The leader of the collapse of the currency circle on: November 15, 2022, 05:38:23 AM
Are CEX's really needed? Wasn't the whole point of BTC and Crypto to be DECEN?

Which might mean learning some new skills and protecting your gold..

For Bitcoin to work as an electronic payment system, no, they are not necessary and move away from the idea of the payment system being person-to-person.

However, CEXs have provided an ease and liquidity of exchange that has driven the price of Bitcoin from pennies to tens of thousands of dollars. As we have seen this year, however, in many cases these platforms, in addition to artificially pumping shitcoins and shittokens, have relied on leverage and fractional reserve, which is what Satoshi intended to avoid when he created Bitcoin.

To think about what would happen if they did not exist I think it is not worth spending much time because they will continue to exist, but I think that from now on it will be with much stricter regulations, and we will see what implications this has for the Bitcoin that I fear will be in line with what the EU has in mind: more KYC everywhere, even trying to force hardware wallets to implement it,
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Reduce Gambling Related Issues Like Suicide etc? on: November 15, 2022, 05:17:50 AM
There is nothing to be done about this, the people which can gamble responsibly will keep being responsibly whether there are gambling ads or not, while those that have a propensity to become addicted will always find a way to fall into some sort of addiction, at best those measures can delay things up but that is it, which is why I have always been against a complete gambling ban as this benefits no one and the costs society has to pay are huge.

Can't agree more. There is not much help we can offer, because most of these people who gets addicted and gets more emotional and ends up cutting their lives off, doesn't even know how to help himself.
Let's just accept the fact that this is part of the world being cruel and unfair. Everything in excess is not good, not only in gambling but in general.
Only those people who has strong will and self discipline will understand and adjust to the kind of world we live in, everything else will either become a slave of it or lost their lives.

Of course, I think that those who have serious problems with gambling, if gambling did not exist, would have them with something else, drugs, sex or whatever. After all, all activities that have a potential risk are not dangerous if they are carried out in moderation. Those who gamble more than they can afford, spending their entire paycheck on payday or getting into debt, have deeper problems than gambling, and we cannot take the exception as the rule.

The measures to solve it must be based on the will of the subject. Trying to impose measures while the subject does not have a clear will to solve the problem is useless.
2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want sell my house for bitcoin on: November 14, 2022, 04:28:40 AM
I was going to tell you no, until I saw this:

(I have 2 house, which I want sell it is abandoned house)

In that case I see it more logical, because I understand that if that house is abandoned the money from the sale you do not need. I also assume that it will not be a lot of money, but now Bitcoin is cheap, so it is reasonable.
2267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are those people that you don't want them to know you are a gambler on: November 14, 2022, 04:18:52 AM
Who are these people you hide your gambling activities from ?
Give a reason why you don't want them to know you are a gambler.

It's like with Bitcoin, only a couple of people know that I play poker or that I have Bitcoin.

First because it's frowned upon, and I'm not going to bother to take away the bad reputation, and second because they are activities that involve money. If I were to tell people that I have Bitcoin, maybe word would spread among criminals and I could face a $5 wrench attack, even though I am not a multi-millionaire. Same thing with poker, if word gets out that I am a winning poker player, maybe word gets out and some crooks interpret that I make as much money as Negreanu, with all the danger that entails.

Since it has more potential disadvantages than advantages, I don't say so.

I already given you my analysis and my incorrect guess, but since you allow a second try I go for A5

I'm glad you got it right because I think you did a good analysis as well:

(Address staked here.)

With this hand I wanted to exemplify how two regulars sometimes end up playing like idiots.

My pick for the BB hand: Pocket Queens It feels like the BB had a pretty strong hand to begin with any let our Hero happily bet into him.

You didn't read what I posted above.

----
I think that BB had 77 or 99 and started small to lure as many people and money he can into the game.

It would not be uncommon for the opponent to have a hand like that, which to my mind would be misplayed, but it is not uncommon to see regulars call the 4bet with pairs like 77-99. For me it's fold or push with those hands.

I will give two more hints.

The first can be understood by everyone: the ones that have come closest to it so far are malcovi2 and dittoup.

The second for those who understand a bit of poker: the opponent's hand is in the lower part of the range.

All of you who have written can try it a second time.
2270  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Implications of the FTX and Alameda Situation for Cryptocurrency and Regulation on: November 13, 2022, 05:55:53 AM
The title talks about implications for regulation but I don't see it talked about in the OP or the thread.

In this regard I think what we are seeing this year is going to lead to strict regulations, which in principle I don't think is bad if they take care of shitcoins and all these people who have dedicated themselves to create a shitcoin/token out of nothing, sell it to each other to raise the price and the market cap in an artificial way, and to end up setting up a racket like FTX.

What worries me more is regarding Bitcoin, because there is already a European Parliament legislation underway to basically force KYC on all transactions with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, of any amount. Can you imagine this type of legislation spreading to the USA and other countries? Or for example, banning hardware wallets.

There will always be a space for freedom and privacy in Bitcoin, but the question is how big. Very negative regulations can stifle the space.....
2271  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 0.0015 BTC if you guess this poker hand right (non poker experts can try). on: November 13, 2022, 05:46:00 AM
There is one thing that I have not said in the rules but that I see as common sense: you cannot try twice, unless I allow it.

As what I want is to give the prize and there are many possible combinations, I will reveal the second part of the encrypted message to give clues, and to those of you who have written before now I give you a second try.

Btw dittoup, nice analysis.
2272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or wait till the end on: November 13, 2022, 05:42:02 AM
So what would you would advise as a gambler? is it better to collect the cash out or wait for the full cash

Withdrawing the money does not assure you anything either, as I know of cases that after a big win, they withdrew the money, and shortly after, they got a compulsion, deposited it again and ended up losing everything and more. It would be much better for you to learn not to let yourself be carried away by your emotions.

As far as I am concerned, it does not make sense because I do bankroll management and now what I earn I reinvest it to go up levels (I play poker) when at other times I have decided to stay at a level and withdraw the benefits, the strategy is to leave a minimum of stacks and what exceeds withdraw it. In other words, if I leave 50 stacks, and when I finish the session I have won 4 and a half, I withdraw those 4 and a half. If in the next session I lose 4 stacks, I have 46 stacks left and I don't withdraw anything until I recover the initial 50 stacks and exceed them.
2273  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to get rich go UK USA on: November 13, 2022, 02:56:37 AM
This style of writing reminds me of another one I just responded to and basically I think it has a lot to do with Doritos and Monster.

Generally, USA and UK are countries with a low unemployment rate and that make entrepreneurship easier, but this stuff that says that you are going to go from another country and they are going to give you loans everywhere I think it has more to do with an overdose of Doritos than with reality.

UK has the city that has functioned as a great center of international money laundering, but that does not mean that any sucker from another country arrives and they throw the bills on him so that he can get rich.
2274  Economy / Gambling / Re: Quit gambling to focus more on my work on: November 13, 2022, 02:41:57 AM
1 year i can build a business that make 1.5-2k every day on autopilot.

I don't know what you're doing wasting your time, then, with your stories if you're able to create passive income of between $500k-$700k annually. If you didn't overdose on Doritos and Monster maybe you wouldn't say the bullshit you say or, in the unlikely event that you were able to generate that money, you would already be generating it instead of just saying it, being a big mouth, and coming here to tell your gambling bullshit stories.
2275  Economy / Games and rounds / 0.0015 BTC if you guess this poker hand right (non poker experts can try). on: November 12, 2022, 04:49:48 PM
In this game, unlike the previous one, you only have to guess which two cards your opponent had. You can try if you don't know anything about poker, just say two cards, you don't need to say the suit.

Those of you who know more, apart from saying the cards, I would appreciate a brief comment or analysis and especially about how well Hero played it.

The hand that the opponent had I have written it in an encrypted message.

The hand:

Rules: to participate you must be at least a junior member and don't have net negative trust.

Also, if two people say the same hand (two cards) the prize will go to the one who guess it right first.

2277  Economy / Gambling / Re: around 1.6 billion people worldwide gamble, What about a poker gamefi?? on: November 11, 2022, 04:38:48 AM
I am actively looking for sites where you can play poker with several people, people and not robots, it is difficult because there are no longer any that offer to enter tables to play and practice, I have been doing some poker courses, I have read guides, and I want apply what I have learned, the theory is very nice and everything seems simple, but I don't think it is that easy, a true player is in every tournament and makes money from what he knows, I have chosen to learn this more than trading itself, Previously, I was interested in learning everything about mining, but I like poker more, and emotions can sometimes make you lose or win a game.

Poker is one of the few gambling games in which a person can in fact become profitable but as you may guess the competition is fierce even when it comes to the low stakes poker you can play online, as even a few dollars can be enough to make a living in some parts of the world, however when it comes to online poker the bigger problem are bots and colluding players as they have an unfair advantage against someone like you which is only playing with their own skill.

This problem is typical of crypto sites and small poker rooms. If you play in rooms like Pokerstars you won't have that problem. I haven't encountered any bot for a long time, but the ones I saw some time ago were very simple. With their game they could beat the recreational players or fish, but not us regular players, because we immediately got the measure of them. Although I suppose that with AI they will have improved.

Another thing is the feeling you may have of believing you are playing against bots when in fact there are none, and what has happened is that the tables have become very hard, all full of regulars, all folding or 3betting preflop and playing hands aggressively.

I plan to create a game in G&R this Sunday by the way, a bit easier than the other one I created, where it would be about guessing the opponent's hand, for 0.0015 Bitcoin.
2278  Economy / Services / Re: POKER COURSES FOR SALE on: November 10, 2022, 05:30:19 AM
Maybe the poker fever is being activated in many, it's not bad, but I think that now this can get the attention of many of the casinos, maybe Betnomi will do something and other casinos will also be activated to do something else.
I see enough poker tourneys and just single tables in the casinos. The main problem is to find some unusual poker room - holdem you can see anywhere. And the second problem is to find the room with human players. Due to big quantity of casinos and poker rooms - the gamblers visit different of them. On the one hand - it is good, because the gambler can choose the best place for him. But on the other hand - it is possible that you gamble with bots only.

I imagine you are talking about crypto casino poker. In my case I don't play in them, first because they have little traffic and worse software than fiat ones. But above all is that if they do not implement very strict KYC measures it is easier to cheat. Even if they are implemented, it is also possible, although it is not so easy. Two people in cahoots can be playing from the same house or talking on the phone, for example, but for that big rooms like Pokerstars have a large anti-fraud department that is dedicated to thoroughly analyze suspicious behavior.
2279  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: November 10, 2022, 04:51:52 AM
Just don't see paper money ever going away as it's still by far the most laundered form of money.  Also the trackability of CBCDs isn't going to be appealing for certain transactions.

It is the wet dream of politicians and central banks that cash will disappear and, try as they might, they are having a hard time getting rid of it. The pandemic gave a boost to this program by the foolishness of making people believe that if they touched bills they would die of Covid.

I for one use quite a lot of cash on a day to day basis as an activist, although it is clear that there is a downward trend with the ease of mobile payments or smart watches.

Regarding CBDCs, as you say, someone moderately intelligent will avoid using them as much as possible, as they are not like cash, they are much worse. With the CBDC you will be identified at all times, they will know how much money you have and where you spend it, and they can program it to expire before a certain date or censor it. All disadvantages.

Clearly, times like these are ideal for buying. People get rich by buying cheap and holding, instead of selling out of panic or out of need for liquidity at this time, as many retail investors do.

I don't know if you see it in your crystal ball or if it has something to do with religion, because by your nickname we could think that you are making a prophecy of Moses but applied to Bitcoin,
