2201  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! on: December 01, 2022, 06:53:21 AM
Until today I had not written any celebration thread nor had I written here for an achievement, but I saw that I have ranked up to Legendary and I thought it was worth commenting here.

It was a good idea of Bitcoingirl.club to concentrate all this kind of posts here.
2202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bank accounts on: December 01, 2022, 06:48:06 AM
People this is ridiculous. It is clearly their money not mine.

I guess you mean the opposite: that it's your money and not theirs. Although theoretically it would be like that, it is not, because the money when you deposit it becomes just another accounting entry, which allows them to give credits for x times the amount. There are people who believe that when they deposit their money in the bank, it is as if it were kept in a box in their name, and it is not so.

The problem people have is that they do not have to use any central platform like using bank directly to buy bitcoin or using centralized exchanges, there are decentralized exchanges that you can use to avoid restrictions, but most people prefer those centralized platforms but complaining about their money not being their money because of central control which makes their money not to be completely theirs, the freedom you need with money can not be provided by fiat.

You mean they don't detect it because it is P2P? I was going to say that I have never used decentralized exchanges but I would say that I have once.
2203  Economy / Economics / Re: Chevron Gets New U.S. License to Pump Oil in Venezuela on: November 30, 2022, 02:41:21 PM
What a genius Biden is. He keeps hindering the extraction of crude oil in the USA, taking it from energy independence to complete dependence on dictatorships, as in this case.

The reason why he prefers Venezuelan oil to US oil is that... Venezuelan oil does not pollute!!!!

I don't know how it had not occurred to me before. They should give him a Nobel Prize or something.

I’m positive that Lightlord is planning for a big comeback because he already gave a hint that signature campaign might come back in the near future. He just need to make his casino less centralized on him so that it can still operate smoothly even if he is not available.

Yeah, well, good old Lightlord told us to stay tuned for that two months ago:

I may restart the campaign for Bitvest, stay tune for updates.

It wasn't the first time, he apparently recovered from his health problems in January and announced that the signature campaigns were coming back.:

Things have been very difficult after the second vaccination shot, affected in ways that were unforeseen. With continued weight loss all the way to Dec. I've since gained 10 pounds, more strength, and health.

Plan on restarting up the signature campaigns once again, and focusing more time.

At that time he also announced news for his shitcoin that came to nothing:

Going to get this back on track, mobile app out in 1-2 weeks from now. Let's get this to mars.

Call me crazy if you want but I don't trust his claims very much.
2205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazil Has Approved Bill Recognizing Bitcoin As a Payment Method. on: November 30, 2022, 02:17:45 PM
In other words a legal tender...

I think it is a little bit too far to say this is a classification for Bitcoin as legal tender in Brazil. It reads more like a recognition by the Brazilian government of Bitcoin as asset or medium of exchange. For example, in Brazil the United States Dollar is recognized as currency of value but it is not official legal tender within Brazilian territory.

That's what I thought. I have read that news and others, and it seems to me that it is far from being legal to tend and have the same status as in El Salvador. If so, an obligation should be imposed on businesses to accept Bitcoin, as happened in El Salvador (with some exception for rural areas), but here it seems to me that it is more a recognition that it is a valid means of payment if the two parties agree, as can be a gift check.
2206  Other / Off-topic / Re: Reuters Report: Crypto among highest-growing topics on twitter on: November 29, 2022, 02:45:09 PM
Quote
The research also found a shift in interests over the past two years among Twitter's most active English-speaking users that could make the platform less attractive to advertisers.

Cryptocurrency and "not safe for work" (NSFW) content, which includes nudity and pornography, are the highest-growing topics of interest among English-speaking heavy users, the report found.

I would like to see that specified temporarily. Surely, crypto interest started to rise over the past year and early this year, but I highly doubt interest will follow an upward path since June or so. Interest follows price and the bear market we are in doesn't seem too flashy to attract those unfamiliar with this world.

I noticed that more crypto words are trending on twitter over the last few weeks. Not sure though if this is real interest in crypto currencies or an increase in scams. When I click on the trending news the top 3 tweets are always from some fake crypto users who are making some "giveaways". They always ask for a follow, like and retweet and in return they will give away some crypto coins. Strangely the tweets always look the same but are from different users. Hundreds of people are posting their walkers and think this is legit. When I look back at the tweets a few days later I never see any winners posted, or there are no users claiming to have won. To me it seems like an quick and easy way to try abf increase your followers on twitter. Weren't all the Elon Musk fan boys already on twitter before he bought the company? I think there is just less supervision now for the scammers and they are less afraid to get banned.

Lol, I hadn't thought of this. I don't have a Twitter account and I only go there once in a while, so I didn't know about this. Let's see if that's why, a lot of supposed interest that are actually agitated scam attempts.
2207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: November 29, 2022, 06:01:05 AM
A gambling site isn't a proper place to store coins. It is the same as a centralized exchange, we can't control our coins there.
If the gambling site turns out to be a scam, we will lose all our coins. So, always choose private wallets to store our coins. If you have a hardware wallet, it is a more recommended place to keep the coins for a long time.

I agree and I think that's what most of us on the forum think, whatever you save on your HW or whatever system it is but you control your private keys. This comes to point as just yesterday BlockFi filed for bankruptcy.

What happens is that if you are a gambler or you trade, it is normal that you have a certain amount in the exchange or in the casino. If you play poker, for example, you should have a bankroll, which depending on the modality can be 50 or 100 times what you can lose in a tournament or the maximum in a cash hand. So, if the site turns out to be a scam, you lose what you have as well. It is not feasible to go depositing and withdrawing every time at the minimum because of the fees and the hassle involved.
2208  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BlockFi files for bankruptcy protection. on: November 29, 2022, 05:50:40 AM
The odd thing is that the price has not been affected. I imagine that when the problems started and there was a downturn, the market already discounted the possible bankruptcy. Anyway, one more chapter in this sad story. As what does not kill us makes us stronger, let's hope that all these events serve to strengthen the ecosystem.
2209  Economy / Reputation / Re: After all I miss this board on: November 28, 2022, 06:01:36 PM
maybe he just wants his comment to be at the top of your trust list.

No, I didn't. As I explained in my previous comment, I softened the feedback but when I write a new one it appears on top.

I just left one that I think will be clearer, deleting the previous, and as a result it appears on top now, just above another positive that had been left recently.

Funny you should say that about wanting the comments to appear on top, because it was funny how when the Casino Critique was launched, positive comments started to appear on top in Royse777's trust, and coincidentally they were from people who knew who was behind the Casino Critique account, as we learned later. If he is so trustworthy, there should have been no problem leaving positive feedback not to Royse777, but to Casino Critique saying that he was Royse777's alt and therefore very trustworthy.
2210  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Profitable and Growing Casino Website for Sale on: November 28, 2022, 05:29:37 AM
How is OP selling the casino he is talking about here? has it been sold? Can someone bite at the price he wants? I don't think anyone has had any interest in contacting him to buy it yet.

Maybe, if OP would just listen to other members' comments here, there is still a chance that the buyer might contact OP immediately. How about because the price he wants to happen is a bit unrealistic and OP doesn't seem to see that?

He hasn't been online for a couple of days, and I think that since he hasn't been very successful, we won't be seeing much of him around here.

This looks like a very cheap scam attempt.  I don't know how someone could pay over 1 million for a casino with around 1 year of alleged activity.

I've left him a neutral tag, because it's unclear whether he's simply a careless or clueless person, but in any case, by action or omission, he doesn't look like someone I would do business with.
2211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Importance of limit order in crypto on: November 28, 2022, 05:23:36 AM
Limit orders only matter if you are going to trade, especially short term, which a hardcore bitcoiner does not do. If you expect Bitcoin to reach $1M at some point in the future, it's not worth it to set up a limit order to try to buy at 16,160 instead of 16,165.40, only to be left without buying because the price goes up and you have to place a new, higher limit order. For that you buy at the price of the market and that's it.
2212  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will Be bottom Of BTC in 2022 Year ( Current Price= $16000 ) on: November 28, 2022, 03:54:33 AM
the recorded monthly record such ( 30d Low / 30d High
$15,599.05 /$21,446.89) shows how bad the condition of the market now and any time this may drop another low, so expecting this to be the lowest 16k? actually that is 15k to be precise .

there are some parameters that may show about possible growth but better to expect opposite action so we will never felt betrayed once the value sideways

and again today the price seems to be lowering to 15k again as we can check the chart for the losses this day alone.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/

better be ready guys and keep your fund on hold.

I have just realized that. We are again very close to the lows, and I think that as the situation stands it is more likely that we will pierce it than go up. I just don't see anything significant that is going to push us up, and instead, bad news can pull the price down.

Regarding the exact price, I think that if we go down we will reach the 12 or 13k area.
2213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were the government, how would you fight against bitcoin? on: November 28, 2022, 03:46:11 AM
Fighting it?

If I were in charge, I would apply the saying: "if you can't beat them, join them".

I would suggest the central bank (which is supposedly independent of politics but we all know that in practice it doesn't work that way), that they would go mining like there is no tomorrow for HODL Bitcoin, in the same way that many central banks hold gold reserves.
2214  Economy / Reputation / Re: After all I miss this board on: November 27, 2022, 07:31:43 PM
After all I miss this board

I don't.

Will this drama never end? ... But I really don't understand why you need another red tag.

It is not another red tag. I simply changed the red tag and made it lighter, so I don't know what he is complaining about... well yes, the last time he was crying like he is now, he got yahoo62278 to change the feedback from negative to neutral.

maybe he should have formulated it better,

Maybe.

the fact that someone wants to rebuild trust does not deserve negative feedback.

Of course not.

So you don't want to rebuild your reputation?

Lol

I don't know what he is complaining about. Negative feedback mainly prevents you from joining a signature campaign, and with the decentralized system and the people in DT, campaign managers can let you participate in the campaign if they don't agree with the feedback, as we have seen several times. It can also prevent you from doing deals on the forum, but he has a lot of people with whom he can do deals no matter the feedback.

It doesn't affect him, he can go on with his business, running campaigns. Even the 1xCrap people do business in the forum.

Today when Hhampuz put the campaign I was participating on hold, I even thought of applying to one of Royse777's campaigns like trolling, lol.

I do not trust him because of everything that has happened and I will not repeat it or enter into endless discussions. Now he handles a lot of money in campaigns, well, Madoff also handled a lot of money and there were a lot of people who trusted him.

I am ashamed to have been complicit in the secrecy of who was behind Casino Critique, as potential investors had a right to know, and based on that, make a reasoned decision.
2215  Other / Meta / Re: Russian Local on: November 27, 2022, 02:23:23 PM
"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".

It's funny what you say because there are quite a few on this forum who approve of the censorship that goes on in social media.

I know I have been able to say things on this forum that would have been censored on social media. On Twitter before Musk came in I would have been banned for sure.

Good thing we have someone in charge who respects freedom of speech. Those who don't respect it are usually for opinion contrary to their own, but theirs they don't want censored.

As for the topic of the Russian forum, I don't know Russian either and I'm not going to get involved by using a translator, but I think that everything that is not death threats from one forum member to another or things like that will come to nothing because of the forum policy that we are discussing.

What I do understand that theymos should somehow make sure is that only posts from one side are not censored. That is, see if it is true that pro-Russian or pro-war opinions are not censored and those supporting Ukraine are. I don't know exactly how the situation is on that board, but if the two moderators are from one side, there should be at least one moderator from the other. Or better just one of each.

when you come to your house, and you see a smoking pile of garbage from an exploding shell in the place of your house, you can stick your chest up your ass

Having that attitude with someone who is trying to be constructive with what you are commenting on is not going to help you.

Bud, I can tell you classically that that WIN CHANCE you see there is absolute bullshit, maybe you have never played lottery on Freebitco before, or maybe you do but do not pay attention to details, sometimes, people win the first, second and even third possible of the lottery table which far lesser number of tickets, to confirm this to you, the table below is from the last round of the lottery, round 390, there, you can see the total lottery tickets brought, over 170 million, in the list of winners, you can see players who won with as little as 500 or lesser number of tickets...
Sometimes I feel this thing is rigged..

See, that's why I was talking to you about mathematics. Recreational players who lose at Poker also complain that it is rigged, when there is nothing rigged, and that's why regular and professional players win money.

Improbable events end up happening, like those you put in the picture, but it is one thing to have in your head that they can happen and another to base your actions on events that have a probability close to 0 of happening, like buying a lot of lottery tickets.

Moreover, following the logic of that image you should have had few tickets and not bought many, right?

By buying a lot of tickets, the probability of winning would still be close to 0, although slightly higher.

Well, I don't think telling the truth is being pessimistic or negative, the truth is the truth even though most times, it is not always pleasing to say or hear.,
Several times I've spend money buying lots or lottery tickets sometimes in the ton of 10,000, 20,000, even 50,000 to 100,000, I've never won a dime, yeah, that how unlucky I am personally

What you need are some math classes applied to betting, that's what I see from your thread and what you say here.

At this moment I see on freebitco.in 133 million lottery tickets, constantly growing. Let's say for the sake of simplicity that until tomorrow's lottery there are 150 million tickets. In the most extreme case, if you have bought 100,000 tickets, you have 0.07% of the tickets. What do you expect to get with that?

2219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 26, 2022, 02:36:10 AM
It's awful when in plain XXI Century people still support animal fights. It is even more despicable having someone making money from that. Cock fight is just like a dog fight, it is f%$7&in&/%$/%&$ horrendous. I apologize to tell you but, people who favour this sort of activity should be behind bars for life.
I personally despize people who support animal abuse. I mean, what is wrong with people!? We already enslave animals on industrialized farms. Every day thousands of animals die so that we can eat. Isn't that enough?

I was just thinking that it seems to me more typical of primitive times, where it was more understandable that this kind of fights would happen. On the one hand, there were no entertainment options like there are now, and on the other hand, animals were considered as wild beasts without feelings. In addition, societies were generally more violent.

These types of activities have been reduced little by little and I hope that in the future they will disappear completely.
2220  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think that we will see 13500 Dollars In 2022 on: November 25, 2022, 03:33:54 AM
Hi guys in my opinion that btc is in Bear market right now and we do not know that how much time it will be in Bear market and for sure it is In bear market.
Btc is currently running in 16000 dollars range and it might crash if some bad news might happen. So I was saying that it might crash to my prediction cause market is uncertain but indications are these.
So what are your speculations and I will be more curious to know about this.

If you get it right you won't have much merit, the merit would have been if you had predicted that in January of this year. Or last year when the price hit $69k. To me, whether we go a little lower now or not is not that relevant. It could happen, especially if we have another exchange going bust or something.

I don't care so much if we've hit low already or can go lower as much as I do seeing overall how this cycle, which is the worst in terms of percentage returns since Bitcoin was created, will end.
