1461  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: June 12, 2023, 02:59:00 PM
Therefore, how strange would it be for anybody including myself to look at your posting history including the fact you have made a total of just 7 posts using this Saheedu account which was registered on 4th June 2023. Clearly you are not new to this forum as the way know certain things makes it obvious therefore you have the hallmarks of being an alt-account yourself.

Granted you could completely innocent of the example being presented but nevertheless here it is:

Just as naim027 and some of his alt-accounts used to do you too have posted anti-naim027 comments after some of his alt-accounts were exposed and you have also have posted in the Bangladesh board therefore what would stop a compulsive liar and cheat and ban evader such as naim027 using one of his recently created unconnected alt-accounts such as "Saheedu" (which was to be used for farming purposes) to overtly attack his now discovered John Abraham alt-account in the hope of getting a few merits along the way as well as being remembered for being anti-naim027? That would throw others off the scent of Saheedu being a possible naim027 alt-account and it would mean a small sacrifice for him after he has given up on the John Abraham alt-account he can try to rank up another alt-account, it is possible right?

Before, I though for a second about a possibility like the one you have mentioned. I think you have described it perfectly and, answering your question, I think it is not only possible, but quite likely.

Whenever I read sentences like this one:

I never wanted to get involved in this issue, but ...

I think of that wise phrase of the ancient Romans "Excusatio non petita, accusatio manifesta."

1462  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: June 12, 2023, 02:02:33 PM
After carefully rereading the thread, I think the key is here:

2- Why is a known naim027 Bitcoin address receiving funds every week from Whirlwind (via Notes) after your John Abraham account starting receiving Note payments for the Whirlwind signature campaign yet your own registered John Abraham known Bitcoin address stopped receiving funds from Whirlwind even though you are enrolled on their signature campaign?

The rest is circumstantial evidence that adds up and added to his manipulative capacity it almost deserves a negative tag, but this is definitive for me.

If I don't see a reasonable explanation about it in the next 24 hours I will leave a negative tag in his profile.
1463  Economy / Reputation / Re: rby distrust me without any reason on: June 12, 2023, 07:00:14 AM
I have to say that in the past I had a couple of cases of people who distrusted me, I didn't care, kept trying to use the trust system the best way I could, without telling them anything, and eventually they removed me from their distrust list. I guess it also helped that I went through old feedbacks and deleted some and added new ones little by little.
1464  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request Support (or Opposition) for Flags here! on: June 12, 2023, 03:40:02 AM
I guess it was going to be seen anyway, as I created the reference thread in this section, but just in case I ask for support for a type 1 flag on the creator of a fake lending service.

The thread:

Reference thread for flag on fake lending service.

The flag: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3182
1465  Economy / Reputation / Reference thread for flag on fake lending service. on: June 12, 2023, 03:35:19 AM
So, there is a fake lending service that you can see in the following thread:

Loan Service new (Newbie Kingdo Loans)

The OP pretends to be giving loans without collateral to several users, probably to try to build up a reputation, but that those of us who have been doing this for years did not believe from the beginning.

There are no loans being given out here.  This "lender" is just a troll with a lot of alt accounts, using them to talk to himself.  Scammers have tried this kind of thing multiple times; he'll pretend to give himself a loan, then use his alts to leave positive reviews for his own accounts.  It's an effort to feign activity and trust.

Well, it's been nearly three days since the OP has logged on, and "payment day" is upon us with a little less than 6 hours remaining (UTC time.)  I never expected these loans to get filled, and so far they have not.  If you're going to try to fake some loans to your alts, at least make it believable by sending some sats to the addresses you posted.  What's up with the lack of follow-through?  Of course one needs to assume this lame-brain OP actually has BTC0.076 to transfer.  Roll Eyes

Anyway, here's a table to help track the "borrowers" and their addresses.  Have fun!

||.User|| Address|| Amount||
||.Amarjoob|| 18SnZ6AEfdb6APiAwFNawqUkcaPq8qk3td|| 0.006||
||.Accesstx|| 14hYd8Pn2apu6txZe3DFQwsxXbpodxzPXW|| 0.01||
||.masdd|| 1MwfR7uGzoPAzN2XDeuYVbVTLNnRTEQW5W|| 0.03||
||.Dlogd123|| 1FQVdKasUXfAa2iXCVVRoLBUdKGFQmd6x8|| 0.03||

As you can check, as of today, no funds have been transferred to those addresses. Such a person has no other intention than to scam.

I have created a type 1 flag so that especially guests and newbies will be careful when they get the warning. Please support it:

1466  Economy / Economics / Re: A thought experiment: Inflation's volatility down through two currencys (pegged) on: June 12, 2023, 03:16:03 AM
And also there are cultural differences. F.E. I did not get the "socialsit thing" first, eventually because I am influenced by moderate socialists laws. I get that.

If you say you are influenced by moderate socialist laws, there you have it.

A free market advocate looks at what happens and acts accordingly. The law of supply and demand is not something some evil capitalist made up, it is something you can see with your eyes. Instead from a socialist perspective instead of trying to understand that law and act accordingly, they understand that the law is unjust and try to prohibit it, regulate it or modify it. Then come edicts on maximum prices, which are a disaster since Diocletian, but do not stop repeating themselves throughout history and other similar measures that have similar results.

In this case and in this forum, the best mental experiment would be to have proposed that the Bitcoin be the only currency, period, but the Bitcoin has a libertarian origin that does not fit very well with socialist ideas, however moderate they may be. Bitcoin escapes the state, it can't manipulate it, it can't print more to spend more, and socialism doesn't like that. That's why you have to invent complicated systems to try to do social justice instead of something as simple as understanding what the world is like and acting accordingly.

1467  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Kristi Noem protects crypto currency from leftists and CBDCs on: June 12, 2023, 03:05:46 AM
You have it backwards. Kristi Noem, the governor of South Dakota, blocked a law that would create a definition of money that excludes cryptocurrencies.

It was already strange to me when I saw the headline, and I started reading to see if she had gone crazy, but reading it carefully, contrary to how the OP has done, one clearly sees that she is trying to protect the people against the CBDS.

With this one, there are already several cases in which we clearly see who wants to offer their citizens free Bitcoin access and who wants to impose CBDCs on top of it.
1468  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: June 12, 2023, 02:39:37 AM
I am in no doubt about naim027 having more alt-account and not only are some them active some are probably enrolled on to campaigns with a particular campaign manager  Roll Eyes

I don't know why you're talking about a particular manager when John Abraham works on the same campaign as you do for the same manager, and I'm sure you're not thinking of him.

naim027, as KingsDen said, he has a great ability to build up accounts fast and earn a lot of merits. If he didn't get to make the asshole he could have had all the alts he could handle working on campaigns legally. With that ability and no proof that he is a ban evader, that he plagiarized and that he sent himself merits on his alts, any manager will hire him. The proof is that he is in the highest paying campaign.
1469  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: June 11, 2023, 07:43:13 PM
I don’t understand why his main account wasn’t banned even after there was enough proof to show that AnotherAlt and Crypt0S0ul were both controlled by him. Apparently the moderators do not agree, the case has been left unhandled for too long. And by that narrative, it could be said that the mods do not think Naim027 was/is evading ban.

So, you mean the moderators don't agree with him confessing?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5416864.msg61116237#msg61116237

I see you both are very clueless on the subject.
1470  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: June 11, 2023, 07:13:49 PM
But then since he was unbanned @naim027, he is not guilty of ban evasion.

He is, he was ban evading with his alts AnotherAlt and Crypt0S0ul while he was banned while the rules only allowed him to create a thread to appeal his ban.
1471  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'John Abraham ≈ naim027' Coincidence or Connection? on: June 11, 2023, 06:15:05 PM
I am pretty sure it is him, even if the evidence is not 100% conclusive because he can always claim to have made a transaction with someone else. But I'm not going to waste a lot of energy on this, seeing that he was not banned again from the forum and that he will have to have at least half a dozen negative feedbacks to be kicked out of the signature campaign.
1472  Economy / Reputation / Re: rby distrust me without any reason on: June 11, 2023, 06:11:47 PM

This is retaliation distrust
Unfortunately, many users do that.

It can be painted as retaliation or we can think that if someone does not trust my ability to leave correct feedbacks and my trust list, I have a good reason to distrust his judgement, because I trust my ability, probably the one I trust the most is myself.
1473  Economy / Reputation / Re: rby distrust me without any reason on: June 11, 2023, 10:51:28 AM
Lol. Really? A new thread for this? I suggest OP to lock the thread and move on.
1474  Economy / Economics / Re: A thought experiment: Inflation's volatility down through two currencys (pegged) on: June 11, 2023, 05:37:52 AM
But is it really socialist?

It sounds pretty socialist to me but the important thing is not the adjective, and I don't think everything about socialism is bad either, the important thing is whether it would have any effect in the real world.

Isn't it more opportunity for the Currency A owner to trade more with a higher volume? But is it also protecting the low income people for decaying of their money?

I don't think so because what high income earners do is keep just enough money for expenses and invest the rest in assets that beat inflation.What he is going to do is spend the cash necessary for the month and invest the rest.

To have a higher inflation is not a penality. And to have a lower inflation is not to reward somebody.

Well, the way you put it, that seems to be the intention.

The Janitor just doing the same work, over and over again ist not losing buying value of his money so much.

What do you mean? The inflation you raise is higher even than what we have had in the decade from 2010 to 2020 which was between 2 and 3%, some years even lower, although that would be official figures. If we count money supply expansion it would be higher. In other words, you are proposing a scenario approximately like the one that usually happens.

Besides, the problem with these mental experiments is that they rarely capture all the complexity. If inflation for the janitor is 5%, will his salary be raised after a year? How much? I would rather be a janitor with an inflation rate of 10% and get a 15% raise than with an inflation rate of 5% and get a 4% raise.

And the Doctor with all his investments and his big income, can hustle more to make bigger profits.

So I don't know why have two currencies with two inflations, then.

The problem with inflation is that it erodes the poor most of all. Raising inflation more for the rich will only make them put more money into assets and faster.
1475  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your personal debt reduction method aside the debt snowball method? on: June 11, 2023, 03:41:04 AM
For those who have gotten out of debt more quickly, did you use the debt snowball method or another personal debt payment strategy that worked for you over the years?

I haven't had consumer debt for quite some time but when I did, I used the snowball method. I also didn't have lots of different debts and of huge amounts so with a little effort I was able to get rid of it quickly, but I think the method is effective mainly because of the positive psychological effect when getting rid of small debts, which takes precedence over the math. The boost in your confidence that comes from seeing that you have made progress by removing a debt reinforces you positively to continue with the plan even pushing it harder.
1476  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ARCTIC Wallet SCAM 800k TEZOS on: June 11, 2023, 03:31:10 AM
I don't know what you were thinking as to buy $0.5M of a shitcoin and stick them in a shit wallet. I hope at least your net worth is 100 times that amount.

The link you put of https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5456001.0 is about Arctic Coin, not Arctic Wallet, although I guess they are related but the thread hasn't been updated for three years and to negative tag the OP is going to be useless.

On trustpilot they have pretty good reviews, by the way and some could be bought but it would be weird if they were a scam and there weren't a few reviews indicating it there.
1477  Economy / Economics / Re: A thought experiment: Inflation's volatility down through two currencys (pegged) on: June 11, 2023, 03:22:27 AM
What is your opinion. Would this mitigate negative effects of inflation for most vulnerable in our society? Would this work in your eyes? Which problems are you spotting?

My opinion is that it is a socialist thought experiment trying to control the world rather than trying to understand what it is like and act accordingly. Why do you have to penalize higher earners with an inflationary currency? I mean a surgeon you penalize him with a lower purchasing power of his currency and a janitor you reward him? And why only two currencies with two types of inflation? Why not 20? As if it were not bad enough to have one fiat currency in a country to have two currencies with two inflation rates.
1478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cautionary campaign about Bitcoin on: June 10, 2023, 05:01:29 AM
Already everything bitcoin related is banned in our country still we are using bitcoin but recently government of our country may be more strict about using bitcoin. NAGAD, the popular mobile banking service of our country, is currently conducting a cautionary campaign in various ways to transact through Bitcoin in our country.

Is it just about Bitcoin or about cryptocurrencies in general? I've searched the web but couldn't find any links to the campaign. Normally what happens is that Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are put in the same category, and as there are many crypto scams, they try to warn the population about it. Those who know about the subject know that the Bitcoin that you keep with your private keys has nothing to do with buying some shitcoin or token because you have heard it from some youtuber.

1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 10, 2023, 04:03:02 AM
Making a living from gambling would never be advisable because it will be difficult for us to win. We can only play gambling for fun; if we are lucky to win, that is a bonus for us, but we don't need to continue playing gambling because that can make us experience defeat. It's better for us to find other ways to make money so we don't feel like we're losing money, especially from gambling. Once we can find a way to make money, we can use a small part to gamble to get the two things we want. We have to be wise regarding gambling because many people have lost and run out of money at the gambling table.

What you say seems to me to be extremely reasonable and is what I recommend for casino games, which is what I think the discussion in this thread has focused on. However, I would like to remind you that playing poker you can obtain positive results in the long term, that is to say, you can win money on a regular basis. It is not the only discipline poker, also sports betting and it seems that horse racing, I do not know if any more.

Winning poker players do not usually like poker to be included in the concept of gambling, but for legal purposes it is.
1480  Economy / Economics / Re: US Advisory on Payment App Risks and Bitcoin’s Position as a Secure Alternative on: June 10, 2023, 03:51:17 AM
Same here - but I don't really trust banks even though they offer annual interest as funder's benefit. I tend to think that my money will only be safer when I keep it private in a safe - this is meant to be a solution to prevent the bank from preventing me from withdrawing all my money when one or two problems occur.

Well, a safe, despite its name don't think it's very safe if the thieves know what they're doing. What it is better for is to have your money at your disposal immediately but I don't know about how much you are referring to as in Europe it doesn't help to have a lot of cash because there are countries with cash payment limits as low as €1.000 ($1.075).

I know asset diversification is a smart option - but banks are becoming less and less trusted as safe depositories for much of our money over the long term. You know that the bank gets very suspicious when we want to withdraw all the funds from the account - so they're bound to ask us a few questions where we want to spend it.

That is if you have a lot of money in the bank. Tens of thousands of dollars at least. Amounts like $5K you can have in the bank and you won't have any problems withdrawing it and much more depending on the country.
