564  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is there any escrow service that supports anonymous Transactions? on: August 01, 2015, 12:48:23 PM
I recommend you not to use an automated system. It is not a good option and you may get in problems if any dispute arises.

By the way, I can help you with this if you trust me. If not, try asking other trusted persons. See a list of forum escrows here -- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0.

I think its easiest for blockonomics  to ask user to enter wallet name so that we use the appropriate path to import addresses.

That is a good idea. Feel free to ask if you have any doubt/problem. Good luck!
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: July 31, 2015, 05:43:05 PM

567  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Darkwallet vs. Bitmixer.io ? on: July 31, 2015, 05:22:48 PM
-snip-

I know we need more users to start using Darkwallet but I don't see who will use it for the moment since it's on Alpha (not even Beta) and it's not stable and we should use it at our own risk as I said .
and the funding seems to be frozen or something , people aren't donating anymore  It's 75% for the last months and not moving at all .

The project is kinda abondoned. Someone need to take over the project or work with them *actively*. I believe someone will come forward.

Edit:

Muhammed Zakir has just given many of us our reading assignment for the weekend!  Thank you!

Mr. Zakir, you might consider dropping off this information at the "Economic Totalitarianism" thread (in Economics) as privacy is discussed there too.  If you do, be prepared for argumentative other posters...

Smiley

I don't know how to post this in that thread but if you think it is needed, you post it and send me the link. I will join. Wink
568  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Darkwallet vs. Bitmixer.io ? on: July 31, 2015, 05:15:23 PM
I vote for DarkWallet but we need more users to start using DarkWallet for its mixing to become effective.

A simple introduction to DarkWallet:

DarkWallet is a Bitcoin wallet which gives importance to privacy. It is a hierarchical determisnistic wallet with CoinJoin, stealth payment and multisignature features.

571  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: July 31, 2015, 01:59:25 PM
Tradeblock has a very nice visualisation of the current state of unconfirmed transactions:

https://tradeblock.com/blockchain

AFAIK it is unfiltered,  which in this case is what you want
572  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [URGENT WARNING] BiPolarBob: MASTER Scammer on: July 31, 2015, 01:45:04 PM
-snip-
1. He buys trust. Plain and simple. Giveaways involve NO trust. Nothing is at risk. This is a FACT: it cannot be argued. 'Trust buyers' are guaranteed scammers.

He does not ask users to leave trust feedback.

2. He won't use escrow.

Can you please show me some instances where he declined using escrow?

Want to know why? His gift cards are purchased with stolen credit cards. Escrow would expose his scam instantly. {...}

How can escrow identify his gift cards are purchased with stolen credit cards? Besides, most of the times, he sends first and hence, there is no need for escrow unless if he wants.

3. A detailed analysis of his giveaways shows a STRONG bias towards people in default trust. Newbies can't make you green, can they Bob?

Although I agree that he has traded many times with people in default trust, he has also gave a lot of gifts to other people.

4. Faking a mental illness to get sympathy.

How do you know?

5. ZERO participation in forum discussions. As with every scammer, they are here to con & not to chat.

You are wrong! There were (many) scammers who were active.

6. He's got you trained. He uses greed against you. So many people throw BTC at him to get that sweet deal! $20 gift cards today, $2000 gift cards tomorrow. And then he vanishes after hundreds of people buy their discounted $2000 card, and receive nothing!

He has donated money to charities and has also repaid a few loans. How can he profit anything from this? Undecided

-snip-
Can a single fact be argued? No. Where do we go from here? It's obvious, make him red trust. Then see what he does. He will leave forever with his tail between his legs because that's the scammer he is!

Fact? These are conspiracy theories or speculation.

Boycott his giveaways. Even free BTC. His coin is stolen, guaranteed. This is the next MASTER scammer in the making. I am warning you early so give me thanks.

How do you know they are stolen? Please don't tell me your sixth sense told you so.

The OP has done that, he is asking why he can't enter an empty search term and have it return all the results between the dates. I don't think you could ever do this in SMF, it's to limit database load.

Uh! Thank you!

I think entering vowels(or all alphabets)(with space in between) as search terms and changing "Match all words" to "Match any words" is a nice way to find all* posts.

* You may not get "all" posts.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: getting balance of xpub key using bitcoind on: July 31, 2015, 11:53:44 AM
AFAIK it derives tree and scan external chain addresses to see transactions.

Do you know  how far does it derive the tree(depth and breath) ?

It stops searching until "X" number of consecutive unused addresses is found, where X is gap limit. By default, gap limit is 20 but it depends on wallet software. I think you can also go with 20 as gap limit.
575  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Does a tx contain a timestamp, and/or does a signed tx remain valid forever? on: July 31, 2015, 11:34:13 AM
Bitcoin transaction does not have a timestamp in it. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Protocol_documentation#tx

Assuming inputs are still unspent and transaction is valid, it will be treated normally.

577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Karpeles finally getting some Japanese style justice - hang 'em high on: July 31, 2015, 10:44:24 AM
Regarding the many, many coins stolen/compromised what is he (if he allegedly has access to them) going to do with them? He can't ever spend or move them can he? If he does that's all the evidence they need right there to lock him up & throw away the key? It's like having a gold mine under your house but you can't get access to it.

Are Bitcoin addresses holding stolen Bitcoins known?
578  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quickseller ABUSING TRUST + Lying on: July 31, 2015, 10:27:10 AM
It was a sale of Anitminer S3. obviously, "antiminer" was changed to "antimatter" due to auto-correction. I don't think its very hard to understand. It was probably better to send a PM to QS to correct it.
