1301  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: June 09, 2015, 11:58:51 AM
Because, Islam is a religion created with conditions where the only goal is war against infidels. So that we should not be surprised how they behave against the other religion. I think,  it is their only way to stay and build their country.

Stupid. Islam doesn't tell to kill infidels just because they are infidels and also Muslims in early started fighting war when they were being slaughtered.
1302  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain info showing:Got error 157 'Unknown error code' from NDBCLUSTER on: June 09, 2015, 11:46:39 AM
Try -rescan command and if it didn't work, try -reindex.

I've contacted Coinbase.

If the transaction was not broadcasted, then there is no use in contacting Coinbase support.
1303  Economy / Lending / Re: ★[No Collateral*]★[No Interest]★ Offering Micro-Loans To Everyone! on: June 09, 2015, 11:34:03 AM
Repaid.
Thank you

Thank you!

I'm sorry to say this, but I'm requesting my loan repayment date to be extended to June 09, 2015. I haven't received my sig payment yet, which will be paid sometime this evening (which is midnight where I live, hence the extension request).

sorry for the inconvenience

Granted!
1304  Other / New forum software / Re: The 1.5 million dollar (5067 bitcoin) new bitcoin talk forum. on: June 09, 2015, 11:04:22 AM
I wonder that, is the new forum software installed or not? Today I found that there are few minutes of downtime (for me) but I then able to access.

There is private beta going on but I don't think downtime(you got) was because of it. BTW, if you are getting 503 error, it is probably due to your fast browsing.

BTW, 1.5 million dollars is no longer just 5067 bitcoin as stated in the subject. It is about 6485 bitcoins now! That is, we need ~130 VIP donors to get the new forum!

Forum money also depend on ads. So your statement is wrong.
1305  Other / Meta / Re: Diverenge RE: anon trust verses anon moderation on: June 09, 2015, 11:00:10 AM
We don't need members to be added or removed from the default trust list and instead we need scams to be moderated else we members should be alert of any user trying to scam other users. By adding a negative to an account, it doesn't stop users to come back with their alts (some of which get detected while others don't get detected). Rather than this, why shouldn't there be an end to the ability to create a new alt account? It does help scammers and makes it tough for the DT members to detect alts. That's not a thing they should do all day waiting to search for alt accounts of scammers but it should be a rule to stop alt accounts on this forum.

Moderating scams will just give a false sense just like ebay trust system and there are many legit reasons for using alts. Besides, al most all of the scammers hides under VPN or Tor.
1306  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: June 09, 2015, 10:54:12 AM
3. REMOVE THE DEFAULT TRUST and let TRUST be open to all no hierarchy. Too much time is wasted on who is or isn't on the default list.
You spend 50% of your time complaining everyone around you is a shill or an alt, so it seems hypocritical that you want a trust system based on a popularity contest / who has the most accounts.
It's not clear that removing defaul trust results in a system based on a popularity contest.  From what I can see, there's no reason why, in principle, my trust network has to have *any* overlap with yours.

 -snip-

If every trust feedback is weighed equally for a user with unmodified trust list, then users' with most accounts will be able to change others' trust rating very easily.

If you are suggesting to remove DefaultTrust and forcing users' to create their own custom trust list, it is not plausible. This has been discussed here many times.

Please fix this bug. Thank you!
1308  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are loans with interest possible with Bitcoin? Such as with scripts? on: June 08, 2015, 05:32:49 PM
They are possible, and they are done in this forum, on the Lending section Smiley

Through the blockchain it isn't possible... And I don't really see that as a useful addition to Bitcoin, honestly
Yes, I meant on the blockchain.

So, a script couldn't schedule new transactions to repay the principal + interest?

If you can't see:

Bitcoin is a currency. Loan is not and must never be a feature of a currency.

Friend, this is a currency not some sort of lending place. Please do understand... Have you ever found a currency with loan as it's feature like what you are saying now? No! There will be additional places to conduct this lending business or you can open one for yourself.

The main drawback of your request is that blockchain can't force users to *fund* repayment address.
1309  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos/BadBear: Do you have plans to promote any current staff to Global Mods? on: June 08, 2015, 05:29:27 PM
It was better to send a PM rather than opening a thread for potential spams.
1310  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain info showing:Got error 157 'Unknown error code' from NDBCLUSTER on: June 08, 2015, 05:15:11 PM
I don't understand the transaction rejected.  What happens to the btc?
It stays in the wallet. If the transaction is not broadcasted, the Bitcoins will be unspent and you can still spend them later.

It was broadcast.  My Bitcoin-QT is down now and is scheduled to open a little later but it said something like no confirmations.

The transaction still doesn't show on blockchain.info although the site appears to be functioning normally.

That's over $56 in freshly mined btc missing.

See the payout was .25257809btc and I meant to sent .25207809btc with .0005btc min fee (maintaining a blockchain here) but mistakenly sent .25207805btc + .0005 transaction fee.  But the transaction is being ignored.

Is your Bitcoin-Qt fully synced?
1311  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Escrow Service - Trusted One on: June 08, 2015, 05:01:21 PM
You can contact escrow.ms
He shall do external escrows too.
I'm not able to do escrows at the moment. I would advice OP to use Dannyhamilton, Ognasty or Tomatocage.

DannyHamilton temporarily stopped his service and told he won't re-open it in near future.

All necessary communication can be done by QR codes.

Definitely not in a convenient way. If you want a trustless hardware wallet, it has to stream raw unspent transactions to get the amount spent and fees right. Doing that over QR codes would clearly be a UX nightmare. Also tapping a card is faster than scanning a QR code if paying on a dedicated terminal.

True but if we want to send raw transactions via QR code, it is not that hard but still not good. Wallet can split the transactions into a few parts and merge those after reading QR codes.
1313  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: unconfirmed after 14 hours on: June 08, 2015, 04:42:30 PM
It is there now.

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/db41664165ac67dd94f1f4da5d49bc0addc072cf0a0693d7f88a87645d5c6af9

Edit: I don't think your transaction will be confirmed soon. Your transaction uses unconfirmed UTXO which have a *long* chain of unconfirmed UTXOs. I stopped here -- https://blockchain.info/tx-index/89535179/1. If anybody want to find first unconfirmed transaction of this long chain, feel free to go through it.

Which wallet are you using? Bitcoin core? Why are you small amount of BTC ot Eobot in *a lot* of transactions? Can't you just do it in one? I also see many transactions to multisig address(es) which I think is owned by BIT-X. I first thought you were trying to mix coins but sending small amounts to sites in *a lot* of transactions don't make sense. Huh Anyway, wait till the first transaction of the long chain of unconfirmed transactions get confirmation. Good luck!
1314  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 04:30:47 PM
seriouscoin is a troll and is obvious. Most of his posts should be deleted.

@CIYAM: Well, what you said is good but not giving 50BTC for not deleting is actually bad IMHO. I think you should change this thread to a normal one.

Eg:

seriouscoin is trolling. Please delete his off-topic posts. I reported it but I didn't find any response from mods.

 <example link1>
 <example link2>

BTW, if you reported posts recently, it may take sometime for those posts to be deleted. So please wait...

P.S. These types of threads will also decrease your reputation in this forum. Hope you can understand it and change the style of the topic.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree to raise the block size limit to 20 megabytes or not? on: June 08, 2015, 12:29:47 PM
China cares more about mining and trading just to make money so they don't like bigger block size even if it would make bitcoin to reach mainstream, thats what i've gathered from them.

That's stupid, because bigger blocks = more transaction fees = more money for them.

Chinese mega farm are pretty cheap and they probably don't want to pay for proper connection since that would hurt their earnings and the farms are located in areas where a good internet connections are gonna cost them, they are just greedy, not to mention the exchanges lack credibility from what we have seen so i don't think they have much to say what happens to the btc core.

I don't there is something called "proper connection" in China. Roll Eyes
1316  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What are the best criticisms of blockchain technology? on: June 08, 2015, 11:31:01 AM
You can use pruning mode to save disk space.
What's pruning mode? Is there a flag to turn it on?

See 'Block file pruning' in https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/v0.11.0rc1/doc/release-notes.md and also http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/19928.

Bitcoin is a currency. Loan is not and must never be a feature of a currency.
1318  Other / Meta / Re: Minor trust score algorithm change on: June 08, 2015, 11:15:46 AM
What is your opinion about re-adding *negative* trust feedback so that user's m trust rating show as ????
1319  Other / Meta / Re: User creating massive amounts of referral spam - EmpoEX on: June 08, 2015, 11:10:37 AM
Hmm I've noticed some of the posts with that cloud mining referrals but I just ignored them (I'm not helping the mods in doing their job Sad). I thought referral links aren't allowed for posting? Just a suggestion, I think auto-removing referral links should be implemented in this forum. Just a thought that popped out of my head.

Links for newbies are auto-removed but not for higher ranks. There are legit reasons for posting referral links but spams are way higher. So I guess this would work but I don't think forum will disable this. Users can also use shortened URL for posting referral link to bypass auto-remove.

Edit: I think we need more Global Mods. YourNewGod excessively spamming. Hope these accounts will be banned soon.

Not necessarily needed for the mean time I think, as long as there are also other members of this forum helping the mods in their job by reporting posts like this. Smiley

Only 2 Global Moderators are active now. We definitely need a few more active Global Moderators. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=mlist;sa=search

P.S. Also see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1071319.0;all.
1320  Other / Meta / Re: Main Account Banned for Spamming (Help) on: June 08, 2015, 10:59:14 AM
Was it perma-banned? Your account won't be unbanned soon. If it is perma-banned, don't post or send a PM in this forum with your alts for sometime and then appeal again. If not, wait till it expires.
