1361  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: chinese exchanges reject 20mb block size increase on: June 07, 2015, 05:28:15 AM
Also without the Chinese miner, the network is still world wide and available in china only that mining is not possible because their own government policy of censorship and restriction.

As Bitcoin cannot be used for anything in China other than speculation (via the exchanges) or by selling Bitcoin from mining if you take out the mining then my guess is that Bitcoin would quickly disappear from China (but maybe that is the agenda that some are seeking).

Speak for yourself. Maybe because you're Chinese citizenship?

You must have not liked freedoom.

LOL nobody abandons China. If Mining in China isnt desirable, MOVE! Follow the money not your BS

Guess what 1mb is already too big for Africa! I guess we should consider Africa first  Roll Eyes

We should try considering most countries not just developed and China was only an example. There are other countries where internet speed is slow such as India, Africa and other underdeveloped countries. 20MB maximum block size is not a great idea but I can agree with 8MB or close to it.

You just can't tell accept or die. That is not at all a good idea.

1363  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CloudMining.website | Starting from 1 GHs @ 0.0008 BTC | Since November 2014 on: June 07, 2015, 05:19:15 AM
Weekly mining payment has been sent out as usual...

https://blockchain.info/tx/b55a250957a91e70e4bd50977166f60007c522a8c83f51ff630f6c19679ecf38

We started our journey on November 1, 2014. We are close complete seven months of payment. Payment History: www.cloudmining.website/payments.php

On November 1st you had 21 customers. Today you have 32 customers.

That's an average of 1.5 customers per month. Impressive.

Here's a tip: If you want more suckers I mean customers for your totally legit mining business, you might want to make your business look less like a blatant ponzi.

So I just checked their weekly payout and now they are paying to 56 addresses.

How amazing is it that immediately after being called out, they mysteriously acquire more customers in the next week than they had acquired over the past 7 months?

This scam really is a joke. It almost seems like the ponzi operator isn't even trying.

The shill accounts are so obvious, the ponzi is so transparent, and the excuses are so laughable that I'm starting to think this might just be a social experiment to see how naive/gullible some bitcoiners really are.

We can't judge how many customers they have by looking counting payouts because they can fake payouts very easily.
1364  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: June 07, 2015, 05:14:42 AM
I don't  hate Islam per se .... In my book it's exactly the same as any other religion. They annoy me all equally. Believing the world was created for you speaks volumes of the ignorance and arrogance of the people who buy into those doctrines. That's what I hate .... the stupidity of it all.

This.
I admire and envy people like you that can sum up so well Tongue

Except they are not all the same.  Look at the following.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dKdBlKgquw

This is the singer, Sinead O'Conner, ripping up a picture of the Catholic Pope as a protest against sexual abuse in the Catholic Church in 1992.

We could say it was roughly similar to cartooning Mohammed.

People were outraged at her doing this.

But you know what?  Nobody came after her with AK47s or tried to cut her head off.

So, much as I would like to agree "it's exactly the same as any other religion," well, no it isn't.

It's just a "time in service" thing. Take it back a few hundred years, and you have Joan of Arc being burned at the stake for FAR less offense. Islam has a seven hundred year deficit in their body count and civility. Christianity lost it's teeth during the reformation. Go back 700 years and see what you see.
Joan of Arc wasn't exactly a little angel.

Moral equivalency can't be achieved by comparing yesterday's Christianity to today's Islam.

Also, I don't see Buddhists going around cutting heads off.

Therefore, an argument that "they are all the same" obscures the truth, rather than revealing it.

Better to say Christians and Muslims not Christianity and Islam.
... "and ye shall know a thing by it's fruits"....

I haven't seen you here but I liked that! +10. Grin

Well, they are fruits only if they are following rules which they aren't.

1367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to send a fake bitcoin transaction ? on: June 07, 2015, 03:51:23 AM
A fake transaction... If it can confirmed one day then the price of bitcoin that time should be $0. Bitcoin is valuable because it cannot be faked like fiat currency (fake banknotes).
So that's why almost all clients don't allow us to send a double spend transaction.

Double-spend transactions can be confirmed.

Fake transactions such as sending a non-existing unspent transaction output(UTXO) and sending unspent transaction outputs(UTXOs) you don't own will be rejected. Sending a big sized transaction, for example, 500KB and getting confirmation is very unlikely unless the miner who finds the next block includes that transaction. The fees you will have to spend will be very high and you will need a lot of inputs to reach that size.
1368  Other / Meta / Re: Who is the little bitch who added that POS Quickseller to default trust again? on: June 06, 2015, 06:28:08 PM
yeah and this is why the USA is fucked up, because intead of people holding the power the gov which are default, fuck things for the little few?

Dont tell me I am wrong, I am trying to make a point, dont care about the trust given to me.  I had real trust from real trades nor did that give me any leverage here.  Ebay is a good example that is much more fairer system then the system we have here.

Fair? How? Have you read SaltySpitoon's* post? He has explained correctly about this.

Ebay gives false sense to users because most of them think feedback can't be faked where in fact, it is very easy to do.

I made a purchase from an eBay seller that has an excellent feedback rating from her customers.  I have yet to receive the items I purchased on July 8, 2012, even though the seller has claimed TWICE that she has mailed my items and has given me two tracking numbers.........nothing.....neither of them ever arrive.  I am very suspicious now that she has received such excellent ratings from others, with customers praising her for her generosity, customer service, and prompt delivery of their orders.  They all sound a little too good........is there any possible way that a seller can manipulate their feedback ratings?

---

Sure they can manipulate their feedback.  There is a seller who has 20+ accounts, and he uses the accounts to purchase items from his main account just so he can build up positive feedback.

* IIRC.

Lets put this here in case of future trades:) if you can quote please Smiley thanks

Can someone quote mine too please? Also is there anyone here who is willing to accept a pm from me containing my address? That's another way I could recover my account.

1MkPr5qEaU5A7fuLx8cpqYfQSanQZptfBS

You can send PM to DefaultTrust - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=122551. It is controlled by theymos. That will be more easier for recovering.

Can someone confirm it's OK for us to pm our addresses to that DefaultTrust admin account?

I'm worried theymos might consider it spam if that account gets hundreds of addresses pm'd to it.

Yes theymos said its fine to use the account and that they will never delete any PM they receive on it. Make sure you note the PM id (its part of the URL).

Thank you but may you or anyone else show us where did theymos said about it.

It seems the DefaultTrust account still has a "Brand new" position and its last active is "Never".

Don't worry about it. Send a PM and save it's ID.

It's best to include it naturally in a post. But if you can't, you can send a PM to an account that won't delete it (you could use DefaultTrust for this). After you send it, check your outbox and make a note of the PM's ID (visible in the quote URL).

There is no Blockchain.info support in this forum and they already responded.

We're investigating some site reliability issues at the moment. We'll keep updating here as we have updates. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Referral spam link promoting a service with misleading information.

Have you looked at his post history? He is spamming in a lot of boards by creating topic.

I am really sorry for this *big* delay in payment. I kinda forgot about this. I will count points by tomorrow and will pay you. Once again, sorry!

1375  Economy / Services / Re: Brawker and a little help on: June 06, 2015, 01:12:30 PM
Is anyone here using brawker? It seems to be shut down or something, it's empty. Can someone help me out a little here? I used to buy with btc from ebay via brawker, now that that's out of the question can someone order something from an ebay for me (I'll provide the info for everything) and I'll transfer the money. Here's the link to prove that I've got the funds on my wallet. blockchain.info/address/1HdK3k1LWG429jADbu9GXTszWmGGz9uVdX
Can you provide a signed message from that address?
That would go a long way to prove that you do have the funds

But he still have to escrow the funds. I don't think anybody would trust a newbie.
1376  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: June 06, 2015, 01:03:54 PM
She has showed great intelligence which usually is shown by matured and also has talked about many things including sexually-related things.

No child, unless they have been subject to a grossly inappropriate environment, should have so much as an opinion on sex, let alone an 'intelligence' about sex.

I am telling that she was matured enough and also she had intelligence not just about sex.

“Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Al-Aswad:
(on the authority of his father) 'Aisha said: "Whenever Allah's Apostle wanted to fondle anyone of us during her periods (menses), he used to order her to put on an Izar and start fondling her." 'Aisha added, "None of you could control his sexual desires as the Prophet could."”

So he pretty much did what he wanted to many innocent young girls and gets praised for the fact that he didn't shoot his load so quickly?

That you think this quote serves your position underlines the fact you are seriously messed up by your religion.
Many? What do you mean many? Don't spread FUD please.

I'm going by the quote you have presented which clearly says that whenever your prophet "wanted to fondle anyone of us" - which is plural, not singular.

Us means wives.

Fondle: stroke or caress lovingly.

Don't be so patently obtuse when that quote is blatantly referring to sexual interaction hence the reference to them having their periods, not what you are attempting to minimise down to a non-sexual, 'caress lovingly'.

The hadith is related to menstrual period not sex.

It is relevant. It is very plausible for a person with very short life expectancy to marry very early.
At 6? Sure, that sounds reasonable /s
Between 9 and 12. 9 is widely accepted age of 'Aisha.

Oh really, so 9 is ok for you, is it?

The decent thinking world, which understands the gross abuse of trust caused by pedophilia leads to serious psychological disorder in the victim, firmly says otherwise.

The charge still stands, your prophet was a pedophile and your religion joyously celebrates that fact, as is evidenced by the very 'Holy' texts you all reference.

If prophet was really a pedophile, prophet could have married many childs. Prophet's first marriage was to Khadija and Khadija was 40 & was a widow and prophet was 25. Prophet also married few other widows whereas prphet could have married virgins and 'Aisha was the only virgin. It doesn't sum up to conclude prophet is a pedophile.
1377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So fees may apply to some transaction !! on: June 06, 2015, 12:44:05 PM
I think for transactions of 0.01 you dont have to pay a fee as they are classified as high priority because of the large amount being sent, for transactions lower than that, what you can do (i also do it) is send your money at nights before you go to sleep with transaction fees of 2-5k sats, the savings add up over time

Not all transactions, and not always.

A transaction may be safely sent without fees if these conditions are met:

It is smaller than 1,000 bytes.
All outputs are 0.01 BTC or larger.
Its priority is large enough (see the Technical Info section below)

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees

Of course if the network is too crowded it might not be so safe
what do you mean not safe?! Cheesy

the only thing that can happen if you don't send a transaction with fees, is that it might take a very long time (even a week) to get confirmed.
you can double spend the coins if they are not confirmed anyways.

3. Without much possibility of being wrong
4. Without any possibility of the situation changing
5. Without any problems being caused; with no risk
1378  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mircoin.com. Brain & Hybrid bitcoin wallet. on: June 06, 2015, 12:12:28 PM
Do you generate passphrase for us or can we create ourselves? Also if we can create, do you check how secure is that passphrase by checking characters used for that passphrase(something like password strength meter)?

As for now, the passphrase available on the announcement still has the founds.
If you try simple passphrases like ‘a’ or ‘bitcoin’, you will see some transactions. I do not recommend you to use such a poor passphrase, because your founds will be stolen very quickly. We did not implement a strength meter in order to keep it as minimalistic as possible. This is your responsibility to use a passphrase that is long and secure enough.

Then at least you should post the consequences of poor passphrase in your website so that people's funds are safer. Thank you!

I'm not sure if there's another thread for this already, or if this belongs in a different section. So basically I thought it would be helpful to post up your Bitcoin address in this thread in the event that your account gets compromised later on down the road. You can simply make a new alt account, sign the address that your original account posted here, and have irrefutable proof that you're the actual owner. It's not 100% guaranteed that you'll get your account back, but it's a pretty good start. Of course, if your account is compromised, the hacker could just come back to this thread and edit/delete whatever address you post here, so that's why I'm asking people to quote the address posted by the preceding user in this thread. Here's mine:

my account was stolen during last attack and the admin doesn't unlock it for me even if I told him the IP I used to log in which is the same I use now with this account.
Do you expect just by posting a btc address here will make things easier?

IP addresses are not always good proof. By posting address here, you can sign a message when you loose your account and this can be used to recover your account. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0
