1201  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 0.005 BTC send + 0.0012 BTC fee ... why to much? explain please... on: June 16, 2015, 12:09:48 PM
-snip- then use another wallet (like blockchain.info that I'm using).

Move your coins out of Blockchain.info wallet. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1085983.0;all

For your tx, it only need 0.0001 BTC as fees if you use that function.

Have you checked his transaction? He has a lot of inputs which increase fee.

I didn't specify, but I agree, except that the Buddhists are not theistic.

They are.

Check whether the address you used is a change address and can you please list all files you see in C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Local\Electrum?

1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sent transaction from QT, not showing in blockchain. 0/unconfirmed on: June 14, 2015, 11:32:10 AM
No. AFAIK you need to fully sync to push a transaction. Did the transaction you broadcasted appeared in any of the block explorers?

Yes, here is the 2nd one which appears ok https://www.biteasy.com/blockchain/transactions/e89b02435d6187dfe02ddb9e354d2ddcfd601754b275a95bae86933e37e5821e

Here is my original transaction id: c827d5ee52f8cfb8f728c1f481ab96f6b1ab1d73ddccecffd67fb769d1140e65 which comes up with nothing.

Okay. Didn't knew we can push transaction from Bitcoin core without fully syncing. So... what do you want to do now? You want re-broadcast first transaction? If yes, try running getrawtransaction c827d5ee52f8cfb8f728c1f481ab96f6b1ab1d73ddccecffd67fb769d1140e65 and push raw transaction you get via an online website or from any other client. Eg:- https://blockchain.info/pushtx and http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/pushtxn.php.
1208  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I was stolen 100+ BTC, don't know what to do - please help on: June 14, 2015, 11:23:28 AM
Can you prove you have 100BTC+ in BTC-e?
1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sent transaction from QT, not showing in blockchain. 0/unconfirmed on: June 14, 2015, 10:47:39 AM
-snip-
Currently I am 'catching up' at the moment and am 21 weeks behind, not that, that's relevant...I think.
 -snip-

You need to fully sync your client to be able to broadcast a transaction.

Do you mean rebroadcast a transaction? because like I said I was able to send a transaction ok after finding my initial transaction wasn't appearing on the blockchain despite being 21 weeks behind. I send transaction ok quite ofter despite not having downloaded all the blocks.

No. AFAIK you need to fully sync to push a transaction. Did the transaction you broadcasted appeared in any of the block explorers?

-snip-
To re-broadcast a transaction, first try running getrawtransaction <txid> and then push that raw transaction you got via an online website or from any other client. Eg:- https://blockchain.info/pushtx and http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/pushtxn.php.

* Edited.

Just change your password to a random one and leave if that's what you want!
1212  Other / Meta / Re: Deleted posts message has no reference to thread on: June 14, 2015, 09:41:58 AM
I agree with you. It can lead to confusion especially if there is a few topics related to similar subject.

If you quoted a post and was replying to it, then you can click that quoted post to go to the thread where your post was deleted from.
1213  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Aahzmundus scammer on: June 13, 2015, 07:04:29 PM
17eyvvAHQkPXz7UnAQDexVWrFMvm6Q765X is indeed aahzmundus's. He has posted it few times. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1074144.msg11551341/msg11551341(archive

You might get something if you ask feryjhie. aahzmundus sent 0.05BTC to feryjhie's address 1FERyQMm4aPnmbzEmd3xb4FZnQyGkkYv4b. TXID: a1899f60648b5638423e2ae8158f4aa30ef11b6c66a64b97835e6b5589ec39ff. aahzmundus has also asked a loan in Marco's thread and he offered his account as collateral. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=750507.msg11585470#msg11585470 is link of the post but you won't see any relevant thing there because he deleted it.

I guess I trust people too much I generally do trades in 0.2-0.5BTC at a time (now with new accounts though) and I've never had problems until now.  granted, I also sent 1BTC at once instead of 0.5 at a time.

You should not give out your trust for higher amounts by looking ranks. It is obvious his moral is low by looking at the company he promote.
1214  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Aahzmundus scammer on: June 13, 2015, 06:33:52 PM
Why didn't you use escrow? You could have at least reconsider after you saw what he is promoting.

"WARNING: Trade with extreme caution"
Well let me send the BTC first  Roll Eyes

That warning appeared *after* this incident, i.e. after OP left negative feedback. Before this, aahzmundus's trust page was clean.

Edit: 1BTC was sent to 17eyvvAHQkPXz7UnAQDexVWrFMvm6Q765X. TXID: 61e5e388b4d8a841e3ed35ccffa2bb1f47a3a4c99dac3551c5a29613d02e0ac7.
1215  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Islamophobia has never killed anyone. Muslim hate crimes are by Muslims. on: June 13, 2015, 05:10:06 PM
That indeed is the sad truth. Iraq is in peril because of the hate different muslim communities have among them.
Not sure how this situation changes because orthodox hot heads tend to be the ones people choose to follow.
Sad

Iraq was a peaceful country, before the Americans triggered the Iran-Iraq war in 1980 for their own selfish needs. Not only different sects of Muslims, but also other minorities such as Christians, Yazidis, Mandeans, and the Bahais were living in perfect harmony. Iraq was one of the few secular countries in the Middle East. But the Americans destroyed all that.

It will be a "real" problem and "bad" thing only if theists were involved in it. Else, it will be one of the "soon-forgotten" things.
1216  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion Required on: June 13, 2015, 04:59:23 PM
I gave a loan to TheGr33k, who has +ve green trust and was stated as alt of a scammer by quickseller but I thought that its no harm to give out the loan of 0.1BTC as I assumed I will be able to sell the account for more than 0.1 atleast.
 -snip-

"was stated as alt of a scammer by quickseller" - THIS.

Why did you give out a loan even after it was marked as alt of scammer/extortionist? You should have asked community to ensure your assumptions are possible.

@QS: Please don't remove the feedback and I know you won't. Smiley
1217  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to on: June 13, 2015, 04:55:01 PM
You can't self-moderate a topic after you create it but I think Admins manually can make your topic self-moderated. If they can, you will need to give them a solid reason to do so.
1218  Other / Meta / Re: Locked account - TheAnalogKid on: June 13, 2015, 03:21:22 PM
Congrats, TheAnalogKid and keep up the good work, BadBear!

your trust rating: Huh: -1 / +4. freakin emoticon...

might wanna PM shorena to get that red trust removed. I don't think he/she are aware of this yet..

Shorena is offline atm. He will remove it when he comes.
1219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Double Spending and How it can happen? on: June 13, 2015, 03:11:57 PM
Double-spending is spending same bitcoin more than once. Miners ensure that the inputs for the transaction is not used to prevent double-spending.

Example:

1. Bob send 1BTC to Alice.
2. Bob send same 1BTC to Joe.
3. Miner confirms both transaction and included it in block.

A real example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=152348
See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Double-spending for more details.

It is a type of exploit.   The person sends funds without a transaction fee, then sends again with a fee.   The transaction with the fee will get confirmed and the other will eventually get rejected by the network.
 -snip-

Wrong. You can also double-spend a transaction with fee. The transaction which will be confirmed depends on miners. Most of the miners include transaction with higher fee and some includes older transaction.
1220  Other / New forum software / Re: New rank? on: June 13, 2015, 02:57:36 PM
The forum isn't a video a game. New ranks can be added as and when needed just like Legendary was. The ranks are just a way to show the age / activity of an account.

The forum isn't a video game, but there's no reason why we can't implement gamification in it. The Stack Exchange network does something similar (with points and achievements), and I think it works fine, encouraging people to give useful answers.
When you are saying achievements, I started to think, other than the current activity count, what can we do? Then I think of post counts and time logged in. Although post counts can be boosted by making many useless posts here, the total time logged in must be real time. Maybe shall we make a new rank for those who have one of the highest values of the total time logged in?

There shouldn't be a rank based on logged in time as 'Total time logged in' can be manipulated easily. See 'Most Time Online' in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats.
