I suggest you to remember that 12 words seed. You can easily memorize it by creating a picture or story with it.
Brainwallet passphrase humans create which can be memorized very easily are relatively less secure. Brainwallets are hacked much and also like Shorena said, humans can't pick words randomly.
I suggest you to stick with Electrum or use Brainwallet with very random passphrase but I doubt it can be memorized easily.

I am still a bit skeptical on how great cloud mining is. The biggest part that confuses me is: why are people renting out the space instead of mining for themselves? I've heard that genesis-mining.com is pretty reputable. To my knowledge, it allows you to buy GH for a one-time price. You get paid as long as what you're mining surpasses their electricity costs. Is cloud mining even worthwhile? I just don't see how you could make a profit from it. BTW, I'm not looking to make big bucks off mining. I'm just looking to make a few bucks here and there without a huge initial investment. Part of the reason I am interested in cloud mining is because I'm not too fond of the initial cost of mining hardware(ex. the $500 price of an AntMiner s5). Any insight would be greatly appreciated. There is a couple of MH lights clearly shown in the 2nd pick with support beams on the roof, doesn't look right to me, well spotted Gleb, i always follow your post. Keep up the good work! took a closer look and guess what I noticed.. the photos posted by bitcoincloudservices.com are FAKE!!! obviously they look sterile because it's a 3D image.. WOW  I guess there was a lot of reasoning involved when saying the images are fake just because there is a faulty leg in one of the racks. The only thing manipulated in these images were the colour levels in Photoshop. Untouched images, more images and even a video will be published shortly. |

there is a misconception here, usually they say that bitcoin can move large quantity of money with a very small fee compared too fiat, not that you don't need fee at all, still 10k satoshi is a very ridiculous amount
You mean 0.0001 BTC is high? It is very small fee compared to fiat.  FYI, you can also send zero-fee teansactions. |

Both the potential buyer and the seller were idiots. The seller could have refused the demand and asked them to come over to a public area. The thieves on the other hand, risk at least 10 years in jail for armed robbery (it doesn't matter whether Bitcoin is classified as a commodity or as a currency by the NYC). 10 years in prison for just $1,100? It is hard to do but easy to speculate. When we are in danger, it is hard to think about all possible solutions. Most of us will probably do what they say because it is easy. |

Saying this is more than being idiot. It's like having a mental problem. "Gavin doesn't like descentralization" they say and their answer is offchain transactions? Satoshi made Bitcoin with block support way bigger than 20MB, we are just getting ready if the number of transactions increases. I support 100% the new block max size. What has changed since he determined that the 1 MB limit was necessary? The Bitcoin network is still pretty vulnerable to spam attacks, and many people running full nodes still couldn't handle consistent 20 MB blocks very well. The situation is basically the same. Also: - Satoshi is not God. He would be disappointed at how many people are using his words to end discussion rather than start it. Satoshi didn't create the world's first decentralized money so that we would all be forever bound by his own indomitable will. - He said that in a short comment 5 years ago. At that time, I believed the same thing he did. But things change and new info becomes available. I wouldn't be surprised if he changed his mind as I did. And he's not around to debate it anyway, so you should more-or-less ignore the few sentences he wrote about this so far in the past. - His first priority was obviously decentralization, not scaling. I just hope that even before we ever reach 5MB each block the devs and supporters find a better solution or the "block bloat". Blocks aren't even full, goofy.
Do you prefer to fix a problem or to avoid it? I do understand but can't we just wait and see what are the problems when block size reaches 1MB. |
