781  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this the best way to make a paper wallet? on: July 07, 2015, 03:10:30 PM

So you go there, create the paper wallet address and then you need to print it and after that, there you go, you have a secure paper wallet?? And theres no possible way for someone to have it besides stealing it physically ?

You should download it and use it locall. Don't create paper wallet "online".
782  Other / Meta / Re: how do i acquire a signature on: July 07, 2015, 02:14:54 PM
does you account have a signature?

You mean forum profile signature? Please explain what you want. Signatures refer to many things.
783  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CAUTION: blockchain.info wallet don't let me login to my wallet on: July 07, 2015, 02:10:13 PM
Blockchain.info bugs are know things. Btw, you should move this to Service Discussion.

-snip-
Also a noob question here: I have private keys (in both compressed and uncompressed formats) and wanted to import them to another wallet which allows me to sign message. Can anyone give me a suggestion on this?

Both allows you to sign message. Check the format of your address because you won't get same public key or same address with those two private keys.

P.S. FYI: There is no thing as compressed and uncompressed private keys. You can't compress a private key.

785  Economy / Goods / Re: Prevention is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: July 07, 2015, 01:19:28 PM
How do I become an escrow myself? I never really done it before and I want to be like those on the list. Do I just keep trading with btc and earn trust? Is it that easy? How did you guys get so trusted

Be honest and eventually, you can be an escrow. FWIW, I don't recommend you to become an escrow. It is a painful work.
786  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Open source Faucet ? on: July 07, 2015, 01:18:18 PM
Well basically BockTrail can do the same thing as Bitcoind which is receiving payment instantly and there is no need to pass by a third party , correct ? that's all I needed to know I thought peopl would be only able to receive payment on their BlockTrail or blockchain.info wallets . gracias

Yes but unlike Bitcoind, you won't have full control over your money.

If your doubts are solved, please lock this thread by clicking lock topic(bottom left).
787  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Vanitygen: How to easily generate vanity address - Mac OSX? on: July 07, 2015, 01:12:37 PM
Check your PM.  I generated 5 addresses for you starting with 1Nyau.  Once you let me know you've got them, I'll delete the PM.

Please don't do this. Forum backups your PMs and sharing private key with others is not at all a good thing. I believe you know this, jonnybravo0311. Please use split-key generation when creating vanity addresses for others.
788  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this the best way to make a paper wallet? on: July 07, 2015, 01:08:11 PM
Use http://bitaddress.org.

What signature? Please clarify.

Here's an article titled Was Muhammad Insane?

http://itsallaboutmuhammad.com/2015/03/was-muhammad-insane/

I thought it might be of interest to some of those following this thread.

That article contains fabricated stories such as Zaynab was in skimpy dress. Sites like these, they just put whatever things they get and don't check about narrator or the story or incident.
791  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: OVERVIEW: BITCOIN HARDWARE WALLETS █████████████████ Secure your Coins on: July 07, 2015, 12:46:19 PM
It is really a secured wallet?

Which one?
792  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-07-06] Blockchain.info Former Developer Launches Competing Bitcoin Wallet on: July 07, 2015, 12:38:34 PM
Anybody tested it?

Blockchain.info is fine for me currently and works well as my wallet to make small purchases, but to keep the bulk of my 'savings' coins I'd rather just use a desktop wallet and keep them offline. I'm sure blockchain.info will add any new features that this one has over it though as to keep up the competition.

Blockchain.info first need to correct their "bug-committing" behavior.
793  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockexplorer is not updating on: July 07, 2015, 11:29:18 AM
This is not quite finalized yet, but I am planning on selling Bitcoin Block Explorer to Liraz Siri. I really would have liked to have kept running it, but as you've undoubtedly noticed I have not been able to add any new features to BBE or even fix bugs (such as the long-broken search feature) due to lack of time. Liraz seems trustworthy and genuinely interested in the project, so I feel pretty good about selling the site to him.

Previously I said that access logs would not be kept for longer than 30 days. I will no longer have control over that, though I will make sure that logs from before the sale are deleted.

Thanks for your support.
794  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Open source Faucet ? on: July 07, 2015, 11:19:17 AM
What's a daemon , do I need a hosting for that ? I don't think it's a problem to run any program 24x7 if you have any links please link me .

Bitcoin Daemon = Bitcoind. You will have to run Bitcoind 24x7. It is not easy to host because of the 30+ GB of blockchain it downloads. If you can't run this, it's better to go for BlockTrail.

For what comes to Blockchain.info I know and I see they have a lot of issues those days and API is down most of the time ,

Exactly. Its not a good idea to use their API but if you got no other choice, go for it.

for what comes to BlockTrail , people will need BlockTrail account to receive their payment ? or they will receive to any adress :/ kinda don't get it

You use BlockTrail API and it will send payment to their address instantly or when the threshold you set reaches. You can do this with both BlockTrail and Blockchain.info.
795  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info Problem on: July 07, 2015, 10:59:41 AM
What's the adress you are trying to send to , maybe it's really invalid and if the adress don't exist Blockchain.info will simply won't let you send your Bitcoins to it of course

https://blockchain.info/address/1KgUmG9p2zdp5bgR47MHzu1cwuURJn1LwV

Whenever i try to add new address, change label, or do anything.
It says: Checksum not validate.

Use another wallet?
I got 0.039BTC in my wallet. Please anyone help..
796  Other / Meta / Re: should luke-jr be on Default Trust? on: July 07, 2015, 10:56:16 AM
How can luke-jr censor bitcoin with the code? Is it related to the mining software he develops? If so i think its not fine to censor that way since the websites arent scam if im not wrong. So yes, he would try to censor bitcoin by doing so. Even though he cant, it would be a try with a small effect. And thats not ok. Its not up to him to decide what transactions should go through i think. He isnt the bitcoin police.

So i think the ratings he gave are wrong since in fact he tries to censor bitcoin.

Tell me when i misunderstood something.

You answered your own question except the software part. He blacklisted certain addresses in Gentoo Linux Bitcoind.

797  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Open source Faucet ? on: July 07, 2015, 10:25:13 AM

THanks but all of them need withraw to something specific like Blockchain.info wallet or FaucetBox or Microwallet or Paytoshi etc ... so It's not really what I'am looking for .
 -snip-

You can withdraw Bitcoins to any sites you mentioned above but it is not mandatory for scripts such as Minifaucet and Cryptocurrency faucet. The problem for this scripts and similar scripts you are looking for is, you need to run a daemon to send automatic payment or you can send them manually which is heavy work and if you are late in paying, some users may leave your faucet. I recommend you to use one of those scripts which is mentioned in that thread. If you can't run a daemon 24x7, you need to use APIs of sites such as Blocktrail.com(recommended) or Blockchain.info(least recomended, in fact, depreciated).
798  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anybody at blockchain.info Care to Explain This? on: July 07, 2015, 10:16:27 AM
It may have been caused because of a malware. Check if you have installed any add-on/extension from untrusted/shady/untrustworthy developer.

Are you running any command? Is this happening when you run that script?
799  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CloudThink.IO removed management pictures after being caught with stealing on: July 07, 2015, 10:08:53 AM
I had a belief CoinTelegraph was different but I was wrong, very wrong! Undecided

http://cointelegraph.com/news/114740/cloudthink (archive)

CloudThink is a cloud mining service and mining hardware developer headquartered in the UK, with a second company running their mining operations in Taiwan. Unlike other cloud mining services, some of which simply allocate hashing power to their clients without further involvement, CloudThink offers daily payouts based upon the company's trading performance and guarantees customers a minimum level of profit based on the package contract they purchase

Cointelegraph was never different than any others,

They were somewhat better than others. The problem aroused when they started promoting articles.

it surprises me that people believe whatever they read, when they should use their heads instead, for their own good.

People don't believe everything but when they see "earn XXX% of your earnings in X days" etc..., they tend to invest there. When we tell them not to, they won't care about it and some even become rude at us. The funny part is, when the scam collapses or run away with their money, they post wall of texts with angry/sob stories.

Did someone contact them to remove the article or?

Is it 'activity' points add up day tomorrow or next Tuesday? Not like me at all but I seem to have lost my perception of time.

Tomorrow.
