1082  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: feryjhie Loan Defaulter on: June 24, 2015, 02:57:56 PM
The loan thread is locked, the loan is due on june 16 and the lender was last online june 16, the thread was locked on june 10. It is still possible that feryjhie is trying to contact the lender about the loan. Better if you could send him a pm and remind him about the loan

It is plausible.

FYI cryptoforcause is alt of aahzmundus. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1089509.0

@OP: I recommend you to login to aahzmundus and check if there is any PM from feryjhie.
1083  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: feryjhie Loan Defaulter on: June 24, 2015, 02:20:15 PM
He was once very late in repaying me. Try sending a PM to him.
1084  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: signing a message on bitcoin address on: June 24, 2015, 12:58:44 PM
The easiest way is to use keybase.io, I found other ways to sign a message really difficult

Keybase is for PGP, not for Bitcoin and you are entrusting a third-party to handle your private key which is not safe.
1085  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting bitcoin json data on: June 22, 2015, 01:10:10 PM
What all datas do you need?

For getting values from different exchanges, you will have to use API from exchanges you want to fetch. Bither fetches rates from some of the known exchanges, try to look the codes. You will get something useful from it. ATM I am lazy to point you to the exact lines. Github repository of Bither: https://github.com/bither.
1086  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which of these mobile wallet do you use and why ? on: June 22, 2015, 12:53:40 PM
I don't know the how to get the cold wallet to store my btc. Do u know any cold btc wallet for android phones. Bcoz , I didn't use my pc much.

Bither has option for cold wallet. If you have a spare mobile, you should give it a try. You will be storing private keys in one phone and you will be monitoring all addresses from another phone. Bither will do everything for you. If you only have one phone, alternatively, you can use Bither wallet in PC which will help you to use either your PC or mobile as cold/hot storage or you can just use Bither hot wallet. You should be cautious when installing apps from unknown developers.

it is better to make a paper wallet , maybe in two copies and put them in safe places ?
you save the public key and every time you will send him the BTC .
even if you do not use the computer a lot , once created and printed , it's done .
if the phone is broken there is no way to recover the cold wallet installed inside?

It is good to create a paper wallet and keep it in a safe place. Make sure others doesn't have access to it.

If you created an HD wallet in Bither, you can recover all Bitcoins in that wallet by importing the seed associated with it. It is better as all the addresses you create in that HD account after backing up the seed is also recoverable bu importing it. So I recommend you to use an HD wallet. Bither is recommended or you can use Mycelium.
1087  Other / Meta / Re: Separate trust lists on: June 22, 2015, 12:02:52 PM
I don't think this is a good idea. So a "no" from me.

Yep i agree with all your points specially the first one and the problem is that people on default trust list are not that trusted, some of them dont even have trades done, some dont even have more than 1 or 2 trust ratings from other people, im not saying thats a reason for them not to be on default trust list, im just wondering what made them get into the list.

Accurate judgement is the key not trades.

You should take care of your own ratings. You can change that feedback to neutral or remove it now. I even send you a PM to tell you about that many weeks ago but you didn't reply. I recommend you to take an action now. "Better late than never."
I have no action to take. I still do not trust him.

Whether you trust him or not is your concern but you shouldn't leave feedback for that reason unless the user is showing shady behavior or is a scammer which is not true for BPB. So you should at least change it to neutral.

I don't think feedback on cooldgamer is also good as the thing cooldgamer claimed actually happened(didn't it?).
Not the censorship part.

Meaning of 'censor' is 'examine (a book, film, etc.) officially and suppress unacceptable parts of it'. So what they said can be true.

1091  Other / Meta / Re: Are bot accounts allowed ? on: June 21, 2015, 04:26:55 PM
The rules are the same as for humans. But keep in mind:
- No one is allowed to access the site more often than once per second on average. (Somewhat higher burst accesses are OK.)
- Every post must be on-topic. Any bot response to a topic is almost certainly off-topic. Changetip's behavior of responding to user commands publicly would not be allowed, for example.
- If someone complains about an unsolicited PM you send them, then you're probably going to be banned.
1092  Other / Meta / Re: should luke-jr be on Default Trust? on: June 21, 2015, 03:57:12 PM
I still have no reason not to distrust BPB or any of the others.
It's not my job to babysit their daily life just because I don't trust them.

1093  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paper wallet on: June 21, 2015, 03:43:33 PM
A paper wallet is private key(s) printed or written in a paper. Most times, private keys will be generated in an offline computer for making it super-secure and then printed. Printing via wifi is not secure.

P.S. You can use https://www.bitaddress.org/ to create paper wallet. Don't do it online. Download webpage(.zip file) and then generate private keys from an offline computer and print it.

I see. Question, can i use mycelium to generate address and get the private key, write it on paper and delete the address and key from mycelium?

No. AFAIK Mycelium is HD wallet and it does not have any option to export private keys of certain addresses. You can only export master public key(MPK) or master private key(MPR aka seed).

no you are wrong, i can get private key on mycelium Smiley i think it is on updated Mycelium wallet app

I checked and I found you can't export private key per address basis in HD account. You maybe talking about imported addresses. CMIIW.

1095  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin wallet lifetime ? on: June 21, 2015, 03:12:36 PM
people who use online storage as cold wallet are utterly stupid. don't know why any person would still do so after plenty of hacks.

Using online storage as cold storage? I am hearing this for first time. Try to make your sig spam better by thinking before posting or you will be banned.

i'm not spamming. i meant to say that people are stupid if they store all their coins in online wallet services like blockchain.info instead of storing them offline. if you just made an effort to think before posting you would have figured that out.

Now I got it. You should have phrased that better. Using "main hot storage" instead of "cold storage" would have made more sense IMHO.

Other generators mostly offers a option to print in Qr code but you would require an additional program to print it for Bitcoin Core if i'm not wrong unless you are going to write down your private key. It would be much harder to spend since you have to import it into a computer but you can always sweep the amount by using mycelium or similar app if you're using Qr code. Just scan it. If you're using Bitcoin Core for solely that purpose, you're better off using other generators like bitaddress.org.

 - Dumb private key(s).
 - Generate Qr code.
 - Print it.

Easy. Smiley
1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Block Size Conflict Ends With Latest Update on: June 21, 2015, 03:07:16 PM
Conflicts has not ended yet. It will end once Bitcoin Core increase block size limit.
1097  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-20] Bitcoins new block size limit solidifying at 8 megabytes on: June 21, 2015, 02:56:22 PM
So, finally a compromise has been reached, between the sides advocating to increase the block size to 20 MB and the ones who wanted to retain the old 1 MB limit. I don't know whether the Chinese exchanges and miners will agree to increasing the block size to 8 MB. They were the ones, who were most vocal in retaining 1 MB as the block size.

Chinese, though not all, agreed to increase block size limit to 8MB.
1098  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to register my son's birth on blockchain on: June 21, 2015, 02:48:33 PM
No offense OP but I am just wondering why do people do this, I have seen a couple of threads where some people mentioned that they registered their marriage on blockchain and just trying to figure out what's this about?

They can probably use this as proof at a later point or just tell "hey! my son's birth date is on blockchain".
1099  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 21, 2015, 11:57:05 AM
I installed ubuntu 15.04 then installed bitcoin and let it synchronize. created a bitcoin.conf to have it run as a server and attempted to install p2pool

I first followed the instructions on p2pool.in

sudo apt-get install git
git clone https://github.com/forrestv/p2pool.git
cd p2pool
make

up until I typed make.. I was doing great  but when I did I got this

nubminer@bit-server:~/p2pool$ make
mkdir -p "/home/nubminer/p2pool/.cache"/pyenv
curl -L 'https://pypi.python.org/packages/source/v/virtualenv/virtualenv-1.11.6.tar.gz' >'/home/nubminer/p2pool/.cache/pyenv/virtualenv-1.11.6.tar.gz' || { rm -f '/home/nubminer/p2pool/.cache/pyenv/virtualenv-1.11.6.tar.gz'; exit 1; }
/bin/sh: 1: curl: not found
Makefile:51: recipe for target '/home/nubminer/p2pool/.cache/pyenv/virtualenv-1.11.6.tar.gz' failed
make: *** [/home/nubminer/p2pool/.cache/pyenv/virtualenv-1.11.6.tar.gz] Error 1

so I decided to ram a python down its throat with

sudo apt-get install python-twisted python-argparse

and make still does nothing for me.

I never installed python or twisted since I really dont know the path

so I tried following your litecoin guide and I believe I am at the same point .. I need to Make or install

so I tried and I get the following

nubminer@bit-server:~/p2pool$ sudo python setup.py install
[sudo] password for nubminer:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "setup.py", line 9, in <module>
    import py2exe
ImportError: No module named py2exe

Run sudo apt-get install python-zope.interface python-twisted python-twisted-web, navigate to p2pool directory and then run python run_p2pool.py --help.

Note: --help lists all commands you can use.
