So the main page says shipping October.  But if you go to purchase a product it says shipping September.  Which is it?
Unless they mean shipping September 31 which is equivalent to October 1  Huh

I was wondering the same thing but a closer look probably explains it:

Main page says:

Orders paid today will ship in October this year.

Details on product page for Jupiter and Saturn say:

Shipping begins in September

So they are confirming that shipping is suppose to start in September and given their current estimates if you ordered and paid today you would get it in October.

Their webpage says if you order today you WILL receive their miner on October. So for me, who paid over a month ago should receive my miner in September then, right? If someone can come along and order 30 days after me and get the same miner I ordered and get it just a few days after me I'll be pretty upset. Smiley

https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-24

That's great news for fans of KNC.  Meaning they will release a competitive product in Sept, sell it until the ROI drops and then design and release a new competitive product according to the network hash rate in 2014.   We all know these units will not be worth the current price in 6-8 months so what KNC is saying is really good for the customers.

Just remember to save enough BTC to get the next version and you will continue to thrive.

It also provides some information for non customers who feel it is too late to purchase.  You can save up and purchase a Gen2 device which should be profitable.  Just get in early next time.

It sounds like KNC is thinking they are the only ones making miners and will be the only ones shipping. Having them take a three month break without shipping is nice for them....but other companies will take advantage of that and use that against them, no?

1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 20, 2013, 04:19:23 AM
Just received this update? Talking about March 2014? HUH? I thought these were to ship this year October? What's going on? So there will be three entire months other companies will be shipping miners and KNC will not be? That doesn't make sense. They need to understand they are also in competition with other mining companies. Not just themselves, right? I don't get it. You mean I could be waiting the entire winter months after paying months ago??? Damn, sounds like BFL all over again, no?

No, it means they have a shit load of integrity and give a damn about their customers achieving ROI.

Re-read, and don't panic! Wink

Yes but OTHER miner companies will still be selling and possibly SHIPPING out devices to customers while KNC sits out for a few months. I can see this being good if no one else was ever going to ship anything, but I'm pretty sure other companies will be shipping products out, no?

You're misreading it. Stop pannicking lol

They will stop shipping December-February. Which means that they will be shipping in September (or October).

"Meaning that once we have taken the difficulty up at the end of November we will not release any more hashing power for 3 months. "

Why would they release new products in March if they haven't shipping the original products? Tongue

Its quite the opposite of BFL. They actually have a roadmap laid out and plan on sticking to it as close as possible. They're not only predicting when they will ship, but when they plan on finishing their shipments and their future offerings. Its pretty reassuring. I'm glad my payment cleared.

Oh, ok. I'm sorry for not reading into correctly. I was thinking I would be sitting here all winter, having paid for my KNC miners a month ago or more and then not get anything until 2014. I guess I'm just being a little "glass is half full" on this because that's pretty much what happens around here with mining companies and how they operate. At least with the dealings I had.

Sorry for jumping the gun.

KnCMiner Network Protection Statement

At KnCMiner we are aware of the service we are providing to our customers. We are also aware that we need our customers to have a return on their devices in order to purchase form us again. With the scale of the supply chains, agreements and factories we have access to, we need to be cautious we don’t ship too many devices and therefore reduce the return to our customers.  So with that in mind our plan is to do as follows:

We will ship no devices in December 2013, January 2014 or  February 2014. Meaning that once we have taken the difficulty up at the end of November we will not release any more hashing power for 3 months. We will then release our new generation of devices, which will begin shipping in March 2014. These devices will also have a much higher GH/$ rating than any of our current offerings.

We would like to state that If any of our competitors continues to add large amounts of hashing power to the network during December, January or February. We will continue to release our devices as competitively priced as we can to protect our customers share of the network.

Thanks
KnCMiner Team

I've been trying to catch up on all the "new" posts and since I'm an old bastard I just fall asleep before I finish reading. Just now I caught up on this thread and you know what, it is full of nothing! Smiley I read maybe 20 pages of everyone talking about ordering queues, day1, day2, people just making shit up and guessing on everything. OH god, at least we are allowed to express our opinions here, right? Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

So, I did order 2 Saturn miners and hope one day I'll actually get to touch and feel and use a miner. I've been through the whole BFL chaos and I've stopped reading information about them until someone slipped in a note they still haven't started to ship yet. I really could not believe it. How is that possible? Could it be possible KNC would ship before BFL? Hahaha, imagine that.

Anyway, I was a lucky pre-order but KNC wanted money in 7 days to keep that queue, which I didn't think 7 days was enough time but whatever. I lost my line and I'm just another sucker waiting for his miner.

My Dad also bought a Saturn and and I'm just hoping I can support his unit remotely through this desktop. He does of course have a network running in his home and if this device has DHCP, then we're all set.

Oh, another question. What is this open day report? People have lots of time on their hands I guess to read everything. Apparently I'm a working stiff that has to pay the bills.

1507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 03, 2013, 11:21:57 PM
Is there anyone, anything, human or not that can tell me how this suspected miner works? Is there built in Ethernet? USB? These are lots of normal questions even BFL was able to answer without a prototype. I want to be able to manage my fathers miner remotely and have yet to find out what kind of connections are on them.

go away.. it doesnt work..  we are all scammed..  thank you

It could be a possibility, bitcoin right at $78 USD isn't doing to well.

ALL DONE.

Missing the promise to have the pre-order queue numbers out by last week was not good.  I think they are getting overwhelmed with questions.  I hope they turn it around.

This happens to EVERY company that tries to start making mining hardware. You would think they would learn from others?

1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 03, 2013, 03:22:06 AM
Anyone know their refund policy? My Dad is is eager to get a bitcoin miner it is driving me nuts. He had an order in for 4 BFL models but got them refunded because he would have never seen them this year. He ordered 2 KNCMiner's via bank/wire transfer (I went half in with him on one of them) and may even buy one myself later on but there isn't a damn thing on their website about how it connects, what it connects to, wireless?, Ethernet, USB, there is literally NOTHING about what the unit itself. It says that it can use an standard ATX power supply which is cool, but we'd all like to be prepared if it really ships.

Also, could this is just another BFL? Just making announcements with great products so they get tons of pre-order money? I went to to the bank yesterday and made the wire transfer, everything went fine and my bank said that KNC will have the wire in about an hour. When I emailed KNC to confirm payment they told me it would need to take 10 days for it to arrive in their account. I admit, I know nothing about  international banking laws/rules, but how can money from my account be gone already and then not be in KNC's account? Where is it? Did KNC just tell me it will take 10 days to arrive because they just didn't want to help me at that the time?

I remember before I sent money in I use to get replies from someone names SAM. Very polite and took the time the explain everything I asked for. Now that I've paid and sent them money, the responses are days later, quick and uninformative now.  I guess I'm just looking for for of an established place with top notch customer service, that's all....not just another pre-BFL.

And what is the REAL possibility that the Saturn my dad ordered will actually ship in September/October? How long does a bank wire take to go from the US to Sweden? I would think it is pretty instant, since the money is out of my account but KNC email says it will take 10 days to arrive. Does that sound right? Thanks.
1512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 02, 2013, 03:03:44 AM
Placed an order for a couple of these and I'm in America and read they use standard ATX computer power supply. Since no one has one of these yet, what power supply would you recommend for the US? Also, what about connectivity. Is there a USB port on it? Does it have it's down mining software or can it run what is already out there? I just want to make to make sure I get the right hardware (power converters) and all that) before the unit comes and have the proper software. I started to read the pages and had to stop at 25, it was just taking too long. Not much is on their website about this stuff either.
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 30, 2013, 06:11:00 AM
I'm wondering when mining won't be worth it soon. One day they'll have a tough time trying to sell a Jupiter for $2k. If it takes 3 years to pay that back when the network changes, then we'll be bake right where we started from. Crazy people hooking up as many miners as they can to squeeze every dollar out.

I'm asking KNCMiner this question. What mining software does your devices run on? Is is custom stuff, or  whatever else is out there?

1514  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: CryptoCurrent // Bitcoin Sales - Simple & Secure on: June 27, 2013, 09:34:33 PM
We are not currently selling BTC as our legal counsel has advised that we hold off (and possibly close) due to the general consensus at the Bitcoin Conference that simply registering as an MSB with FinCEN is not enough to operate legally.  State licensing for money transmitters is prohibitively expensive for most small businesses like ours, so it's looking like only the largest, most well-funded companies who can afford state licensure will be able to continue selling.

We're going to take about a month to look into individual state laws, but at this point, operations for CryptoCurrent are on hold indefinitely.  Sad

So this is another company that ceased selling Bitcoin because our US lawmakers can't make up their mind about how to make up proper laws?

Hey, there certainly are tons of people that get away with killing people each year, even burning down houses....and they don't get caught. Why not just stay in business and keep floating around so you can't be found? If a murderer and arsonist can do it, I'm sure you guys can do it to. Smiley

1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 27, 2013, 09:30:03 PM
What mining software will work with these miners? Do they have their own?

Also, will any US ATX power supply work? What kind of power supply do I need to buy to get ready?

KNCminer I emailed you guys a few times and happen to be having problems receiving email on the account I pre-ordered with you. I noticed you were only giving 7 days to keep our queue and wanted to know if this can be extended or has been? I think I'm about 10 days out and wondered if I paid, would I still have my queue placement?

Thanks

If you are talking about ordering now for a pre-order queue position, then no, that ship has sailed.

No, I ordered for a pre-order queue position back in beginning of April when this first rolled around. Are you saying they only gave 7 days for hundreds of people to make a payment to keep that position? I was having trouble receiving email on the account to which I was signed up with and now that's taken care of (technical issues) I finally read the email and it is already after 7 days. That's just 5 business days and I think the bank was even closed one day. Turns it into just 4 days. Wanted to do a bank transfer since I Tangible stopped selling bitcoin. I have emailed KNCminer a few times but I guess when a company starts receiving big money customer service always seems to drop a bit and communication diminishes a bit. It is a trend in the bitcoin industry it seems. Any help by KNCminer would be appreciative. My email address is very similar to my name here. Thanks.

Any news guys ?? Hope your back online soon  Wink

Best of Luck!!!!!!!!!!
I am also interested to hear the latest, if only out of professional curiosity.

We do not have a formal response from the commission at this time.  It is unlikely any updates will be provided until we have a formal response either indicating that our activity does not require a license or that we must obtain a license.

Because there is an 80 year old guy asking his assistant, "hey dear, what are bitcoins?". You may never receive an answer.

TC, why don't you lawyer up yourselves to keep in business while the politicians figure things out? I remember when Donald Trump filed for bankruptcy many years ago he was still buying planes, homes, and expensive items. It basically boils down to how good your attorney's are. If your attorney's can't keep you in business while waiting for a decision which could take years you need new counsel.

1519  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Tangible Cryptography suspends Bitcoin related transactions on: June 20, 2013, 12:28:26 AM

It's silly, but for a different reason.  If bitcoin is 'stored value' then the people who sold bitcoins to FC4B were all engaged in the business of money transmission, and the Virginia Corporation Commission should be investigating those thousands of people.  I'd love to see how they construe that as protecting residents of the Commonwealth.

Exactly, They need to be going after miners, the people who create the coins or "store of value". I'm very glad AsicMiner is in the more reasonable capitalistic and libertarian country of China.

If they were in the USA I'm sure they would be raided by special forces and S.W.A.T. teams.

Man, the US must hate those people who have solar panels up paying for their electric. I wonder if they would try to sue the sun or proton particles? Has to be some money in there somewhere.

I use to visit these boards often, until I got screwed by Butterfly and their lack of keeping a goal/deadline of which any normal run company should be able to do. Currently are there ANY ASIC units available to buy yet or are they are still in pre-order lala land and want thousands and thousands of dollars? I was on the list of Kncminer, but saw they wanted over $4k, so I opted out of that.
