I got briefly excited when the fans arrived.

Where are mah modules!!1

Side note:  I can't tell a difference between the I30 and the A30.  The fan is on there really sturdy.

You are receiving 6 modules?
1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 15, 2013, 11:41:15 PM
Serious, if KNC was passionate about the products they make and really cared for them, they would have never shipped them with thin paperboard and no internal packing. This kind of proves they care less about their product and are soley in it for financial reward. I would rather invest my money with a company that cares about their own products.

And with UPS. You can pack whatever you want into a box. Guys, do you realize how small and light these boxes are going to be? A computer board that weighs the same as a pack of bubble bum and the size of playing cards. A couple cables. All less then 16OZ in a tiny little box. It will be like getting an Intel Processor box. That small. Trust me, UPS said no such thing about having one in each box. This is the last time I'll be investing with this company. They move to slow, have a horrible presence in the community (if any at all) and once they have your money start to treat  you a little different. They'll eventually ruin everything for themselves. People don't forget. I'll never forget  I had to pay $205 to ship 16ounzes to the Eastern US with a weeks delay first. That sticks in me like a hot knife.

Wow, you really feel that way?
Seems pretty trivial to me, and other than Arctic I30's snap-on fan design(no fault of KNC's really)  The inits held up astoundingly well, even one that was totally destroyed by DHL, and filled with water ended up working. It was also posted in here that the boards are all pre-packaged individually, and when checked with UPS rates in sweden, was right on price...you must have missed it....

So you are ok with how they packed a $6000 miner? I've seen better packaging for socks.

1364  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [500Th] Eligius: ASIC, no registration, no fee CPPSRB BTC + 105% PPS NMC, 877 # on: November 14, 2013, 06:29:54 AM
Seriously, what other information do I have as in rewards in what I'm making on this pool? All I see are three lines:
As of last block
Estimated Change
Estimated Total

Is there anything else that shows me my rewards per blocks or anything like that with this pool. My friend pulled my arm again and forced me to try this pool again, but when looking for detailed information on how well or shitty I'm doing I just can't find it. And there is a number on my screen that says ALL TIME PAYOUT that has nothing to do with what I ever got paid. It is much higher.  Remember, I'm coming from BTC Guild, where all this information is right on your dashboard. I'm just trying to look for it on this pool. Can someone point me in the right direction? Free/No fees or not...if you can't see what your miner is doing then what's the point, right?

1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 14, 2013, 05:28:19 AM
Today is party day for me...
The whole BTC endeavor has surpassed itself investment wise.
I lost plane ticket money, office lease deposits, internet service installations, not to mention all the tables, cords, and power supplies I shipped to Washington, directly from amazon, just to get the miners into a 2.4 cent electrical situation...
The "Powers that be" saw to it there was a glitch in the address change online, and my machines were subsequently shipped here to hawaii Instead of Chelan, which meant an emergency PSU re-order for home...but  Chelan would have been a total disaster in hindsight, with all the things unforeseen that needed worked out. Thank the stars. I'm VERY Happy they are here at home, even with .43 electric. In approx. 27 days, so far, I've earned about 33.5 BTC total. By today's price, that covers Every cent spent, and more... but wait!... I was able to re-invest the BTC, and now will ultimately end up with over TRIPLE my current hashpower by...(Nov.?th)...  certainly out-pacing the diffchanges by a significant margin. All thanks to KNC & The ASIC Godz!
**Just had to get that out.... AAAaaaah.
This is exciting.

You might be at a loss on this.

That 33.5 BTC is now 4x harder to mine.  5x-6x harder once your stuff arrives probably.  You can't break even unless your hashpower has increased to an order of that magnitude.  I don't think triple is enough.
I respectfully disagree... here's why....
For all intense purposes, I started on October 15th, at which time, October 16th, the diff changed to 267M, and is now 510M....  In other words, the diff has yet to double since I started mining.  (29 days?) So, not quite 2x...  don't know how you got to 4x...?

Phoenix, you must be ONE lucky guy. The only one in your boat.

Can someone explain how Eligius payout schedule works? How can you find your spot or figure out when you would get paid your rewards?

1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 14, 2013, 12:31:25 AM
Anyone have any clue when they will ship the modules? I thought they said they would ramp up more people and get them out? I hope they aren't blowing smoke again. BTC up to $400, would love to have those modules I spent a small fortune on.

1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 13, 2013, 03:15:27 AM
orama, can you find out why I was charged $205 to have 3 modules shipped to the Eastern US? Then I was charged $68 to have one shipped. I only paid $100 in shipping for my entire Saturn. Was it in their intention to make extra money by inflating the shipping charges?

1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 13, 2013, 12:30:02 AM
Funny how some people think that somehow since they couldn't "Win the race" buying up the upgrade boards, that KNC still owes them something....  or they got treated unfairly......
Total B.S.  You snooze, you loose..... I did.   Cry

i didn't snooze man, i ordered right at 8am.... the payment system they used had its flaws
"They used"....Bitpay!   There just is no better system.  lol

Well that's bad news! rotflmao  Grin Roll Eyes Cry

Dude....   can you imagine how many miners were hitting that page at that moment?
That's like a DDOS attack wave of legit purchases....  This is the very first time, ever, in the history of the world, that this has happened to any miner manufacturer.... think about it....  We are treading in uncharted territory. There are bound to be weak points; and KNC can't be held responsible for Bitpay's server's ping status.
ALSO...  ERROR 404 could have been shown to you by Bitpay because KNC were already sold out, or over-pinged as well.
I wish I was able to buy a few....  oh well...  This is a very competitive venue.

edit...Biffa...  No, alone in a huge empty house tryin' to stay awake to 3am....ug.
maybe that would have helped... lol
I knew I should have set an alarm....won't happen again, I assure you!

Its really not such a big deal. Only selling 200 of then and they were sought after, network issues were bound to happen. If they had an unlimited supply, there would have been no issues. The amount they sold was the key factor making what happened, happen.
1370  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Are miner pool thieving away? on: November 12, 2013, 05:54:41 PM
It's possible that the network has bad luck as a whole.
Luck has been horrible for BTCGuild a couple days ago, and now it's bad for Eligius, while BTCGuild seems to catch up a bit.
The short term luck can affect your earnings significantly, unless you mine on PPS.

This!

BTC Guild luck has been positive by a decent margin the last day.  Just like it was negative by a big margin the day before.  This was explained to you in your OTHER thread, and the main BTC Guild thread already.  Your earnings have been dropping every difficulty change by a large margin for the last month.  You mention 0.5 BTC/day.  Right now your hash rate (~250 GH/s) will only make 0.24-0.25/day at the network difficulty.  This will be affected by luck on any pool, but your expected return is not 0.5, it is 0.25.

I'm not sure how you didn't notice difficulty increases over the last month.  However, in the time frame you mentioned, BTC Guild has paid better than you could've expected (luck has been > what you'd make on a 0% PPS pool for the last 6 weeks).

You had one day of bad luck and apparently lost your mind, making two threads (even after the luck recovered) and also posting about it on the main thread.

EDIT:  Just looked back and you did not start the other thread, you just posted in it.  Still, this exact thing has been explained in two separate threads that you've participated in already.

Sorry, I can't help it if this forum is the most unregulated forum around and holding onto almost $2million USD in bitcoin.

1371  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Are miner pool thieving away? on: November 12, 2013, 05:53:10 PM
Guys we were all newbies at some point, nothing wrong with that

opentoe is no newbie. Has been around quite a while now.

I'm a complete Newbie to mining. Take it from the horse's mouth, trust me.

1372  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to create/modify software for this forum [5500+ BTC] on: November 12, 2013, 05:41:56 PM
5500 BTC @ $340 => $1,870,000

Surely you can convert $1m into mutual funds or even government bonds and use the proceeds to hire someone full time Cheesy

Yah right.  Where are you going to find someone to code a forum for a million bucks.   Roll Eyes

Nah you don't get this, whoever is supposed to do this is expected to receive payment in Bitcoins. As of today no software development company specializing in forums software is willing to do that.
So the scenarios here is: Wait till somebody does, wait till somebody competent enough joins the Bitcoin community, wait till Bitcoins are obsolete
or if all else fails... close down the forum and claim to have been 'hacked' <- works every time Grin

They don't need to find a company that specializes in forum software. They just need to hire someone that can program. Apparently this has been going on for years now and no one smart enough really expects it to get done. One day, eventually, that coffer will be empty and people will have disappeared.

1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 05:06:58 PM
Guys, I will have 1 module for sale once it arrives. I just realized that I I can only fit 2 more, not 3.

wanna sell it to me, since knc fucked me over?

Mate how did you get screwed over when x amount more had the ability to purchase beyond what was allocated and we couldn't even get back into the system to stop it for an entire 2 minutes?

When people want something they complain if they don't get it. It's human nature...

Now to business,

There are two types of i30 Coolers --

One is called a 24/7 Cooler
The second is a Direct touch.

It looks like either will work.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=i30+Freezer&N=-1&isNodeId=1

Is it correct that either should work?

Either one will work. One is for Intel mounting and one is for AMD mounting, none of that is used here.

1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 04:19:09 PM
I will ask again, how do you fasten these without the metal bar?

You have to use the metal bar. These are being custom installed so all the mounting hardware that comes with it is useless.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 04:17:48 PM

Superbiiz has them for $32.99 USD. That's where I bought mine originally.

1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 04:14:18 PM
O'rama, when do these ship??

They are expected to ship end of this week.

I wonder why they inflated the shipping charge. It couldn't of been to squeeze as much money out of us as they could, no? These are thin PCB's...weigh ounces. No heatsink fan and just a couple of cables everything will be under 1LB. I thought companies weren't allowed to over inflate shipping charges anymore. No regulation here.
1377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 12, 2013, 01:22:47 AM
And where will we find the upgrade modules? At the mining hardware section at the webpage?

Noob question.  Roll Eyes Grin Huh

That's like 3am my time.....ug.

Doesnt' say if need to but our own heatsink also. KNC Loves to throws these little costs to the customers.
1378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 11, 2013, 10:39:19 PM
Orama, the selling of the modules tomorrow/tonight,

Do these modules come with the heatsinks, right? And the that special data cable we will need.

1379  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1200 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: November 10, 2013, 08:04:49 AM
What happened to my 24 hour earnings number?

Also thanks to the users that took the time to explain some things to me. Of course I'm still confused, but I'll eventually get there and understand more and more. I just wish I had more time to learn. Everything is moving too fast. I have the opportunity to buy more hashing modules for my miner, but I'm making so little as it is in the pool, so I may just wind down until nothing comes out.

1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 10, 2013, 07:56:22 AM
Jupiter is only 500Gh/s and selling for $5000 USD, and then I see a Cointerra Terraminer 2TH/s for $6000. To me this means it is all less then a gamble and all slowly becomes a slow loss if you aren't in it now. I've been hashing my Saturn 24/7 since I received it and basically only have gotten back 7 bitcoin. I guess I'm a little impatient with everything but I doubt I'll ever break even. It is fun and all that, but maybe I'll put my money into a more profitable venture. We're just a bunch if kids here seeing how much bitcoin we can make. And if you live at home with mommy and daddy who pay all the bills, you have a better chance then most.

Tell mommy to wash those whites!
