It is not only BCCI but the national player are also interested in playing international cricket because it earns them more money. Most of them are interested in playing IPL than Ranji or any other domestic cricket as money is more.

The quality of cricket in Ranji Trophy is not up to the mark. So the established players don't gain anything by playing the Ranji Trophy. The Deodhar Trophy is comparatively better, as the best players are divided into three teams. But in Ranji Trophy we have 36 teams and more than 500 players. Same can be said about the Irani Trophy, where the Ranji Trophy champions play against "Rest of India". But these tournaments last just one or two weeks.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's nice to be back again on Bitcoin @50,000$ on: May 16, 2021, 12:42:12 PM
Hello all!

I want to share my cool experience about holding Bitcoin.

I become busy last year and decided to totally disconnected on crypto market or news to focus on my studies and extra job to earn despite pandemic last December 2021 when Bitcoin is on the early Bullish trend. It's really good to see now that my Bitcoin was already X2 the initial money that I earn on signature campaign here. I never though that Bitcoin price will go this far and I decided to take some profit although the current price is at correction.

Really happy to choose holding rather than convert it fiat by the time I decided to leave crypto.

All I have to tell the OP is that never underestimate your signature earnings. There was a time, in 2013 when I entered my first signature campaign. When converted to fiat, I was earning around $2 per week. But the Bitcoin exchange rates went up by 100x or more from those levels, and that means that I was earning $200 per week as per the current exchange rates. The same can happen now as well. In the long-term, in all probability Bitcoin will rise to six-digits or even seven digits. The mBTCs that you earn now will be very valuable then.

Elon has Autism Asperger's. Its a mentally disorder of the brain.

It is known that some people with autism have the highest intelligence IQ that looks kind of Hidden behind the disorder. Symptoms are lack of social interaction and problems with communication.

Autistic kids has a fascination with 1 particular thing or field. Maybe as a kid Elon fascinated about travelling and going into space that's always on his mind.

It is also known that autistic kids can sometimes move on very quickly from something that they were interested in into now something new.

Ditching Bitcoin and going into Dogecoin because it has a cool picture of a dog on it is behavioural example of autistic Asperger's kids changing interest very quickly.

But I doubt autistic people have memory problems like Elon totally forgot about Bitcoin Energy consumption then realised it months later.

I don't know whether he is mentally unstable or not. But he has probably made billions in profit during the last few months, by promoting the Doge shitcoin. Now if his mental illness has caused it, then I hope that I will get that same type of mental illness. Let's not get carried away. Elon Musk is a businessman, similar to Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffet. All they cares about is money. For that they will manipulate the markets and do all sort of unethical things such as insider trading. Only the ordinary people will lose out.
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Cricket Match-Fixing Scandal on: May 16, 2021, 12:21:09 PM
In my opinion it is very difficult to prove that a player or his management was involved in a match-fixing operation. In addition, there is often corruption in law enforcement and minimal publicity plays into the hands of these types of scammers. Maybe that's why we don't see so many high-profile match-fixing cases.

Why is it so difficult to prove? If a player or a franchise owner is receiving money that he can't explain, that should be taken as an evidence, right? Recently Heath Streak of Zimbabwe was handed out suspension, after it was found that he received 2 BTC from a bookie, in order to fix some of the franchise T20 matches. All the evidence was there, in the form of Bitcoin transactions and the logs from the cryptocurrency exchange which was used by Streak to convert these Bitcoins to fiat.
1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: May 16, 2021, 12:11:06 PM
Then the championship will be very long, and the players will have to experience even more physical stress! On the other hand, the games may be less entertaining, so it's up to the qualifiers to take part in the championship!

I am in favor of adding more teams to the tournament. The players are going to be fine, because they will play the same number of matches whether it is a 32-team tournament or a 48-team one. And what is the problem if the world cup extends for another week? Afterall, we are having this tournament only every 4 years and personally I don't mind if the tournament gets extended for another 5-6 days. And some of the most entertaining matches I have watched in the world cup involved underdogs such as Nigeria, Ghana and Iceland. So there is no point in saying that the world cup should be restricted only to the strongest teams.
1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: May 16, 2021, 12:01:15 PM
He can train if he wants, the fact that he is still fighting in exhibition fights means he is still training and keeping his body ready in any fight. However, the result could be different if Mayweather will come back, he might experience his first loss against Manny and he would not do that as he is protecting his 0 losses, Maybe in an exhibition fight we could see them again, but that is after Manny will retire from boxing.

No matter how much you post here, Floyd is going to come out of retirement. Money is not going to tempt him anymore, because he has earnt as much ae he want during the past few years. He is one of the few billionaire sportsmen. And do you really think that he will bother to come out of retirement, just for another $30 million or so? Manny had a chance to beat Floyd in 2015, but he couldn't do that. Now he should admit that Floyd is a better boxer, and try to arrange fights with others like Crawford and Garcia.
1367  Economy / Economics / Re: Vitalik Buterin donated billions to India to fight Covid-19 crisis on: May 14, 2021, 07:07:42 AM
It is a great move from Vitalik, at a time when some of the richer billionaires (Elon Musk, Zuckerberg.etc) refused to donate anything to the fight against COVID 19. Anyway, this was the first time I came to know that Vitalk is a billionaire. I thought he had sold most of his ETH stash long ago, before the prices rose. I just hope that the India Covid-Crypto Relief Fund will spend the money in a good way. But at the same time, since the government in India is planning to ban cryptocurrency, I would like to know how they are going to proceed with this donation.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 14, 2021, 06:56:25 AM
I agree with @bryant.coleman that a second division can be formed. This will give more representation to regions that are otherwise not represented in the IPL.
Are you telling that they need to start a second division of IPL for more representation  Grin, I have seen domestic tournaments taking place on a regular interval as i made some bets in some of the recently concluded tournaments in the past one year and all the states are represented as far as i know and there were T20 tournaments as well as ODI and since the BCCI is conducted these why would you need a second division IPL team as well as i think it is excessive.

Indian domestic cricket is a joke. The national team members hardly ever takes part and there are too many teams (36 for the Ranji Trophy) to have a meaningful competition among them. IPL is at an entirely different level. The best players are taking part in this tournament (including the overseas players). What I am proposing is a second tier franchise T20 league, representing the second tier cities, in order to bridge the gap between IPL and Indian domestic cricket.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 13, 2021, 05:51:36 PM
^^^^ IMO, having teams from all over India would be good. But the problem here is that we can have a maximum of 10 teams and they need to represent the largest cities in India. As far as I know, cities such as Guwahati, Shillong and Agartala doesn't even rank among the tier-1 cities in India. And I would cite the same reason why cities in Gujarat are much more likely to get an IPL franchise, when compared to some city in UP, MP, Bihar or Jharkhand. And going by the same logic, a franchise from Pune looks very likely.

For the smaller cities, I believe that the BCCI should organize a second division, which should include cities such as Lucknow, Coimbatore, Patna, Ranchi, Guwahati.etc.
1370  Economy / Economics / Re: 3.9million users took part in the Elon Musk poll; What will be Tesla's decision? on: May 13, 2021, 05:35:32 PM
It was Elon that caused it as well, that is the funny thing. He talked about how his company Tesla, after just few months, will not sell cars for bitcoin because of "environmental fear" and then all the crypto prices crashed. He asked about "should tesla accept doge" a bit before that as well. It is an obvious attempt that he wanted to get doge above bitcoin, even if not above marketcap, it should be above in profitability, the price dropped after his SNL sketch and that is why he wanted to recover it but now with the bitcoin tweet he destroyed all of it.

This is basically the reason why I believe he wanted to do something but failed miserably while doing that, because when bitcoin drops everything else drops with it. In the end we are in a world where crypto is tied together and people like Elon should not have this much power over it at all.

I have been saying this since 2012 (when I made my first post in this forum). Altcoins doesn't have any independent existence. They will survive only of Bitcoin survives. There are technologically advanced altcoins out there such as Cardano, which uses the modern Haskell algorithm. But even these coins follow the same principles followed by Satoshi Nakamoto when he created Bitcoin - such as controlled supply, PoW mining.etc. Elon will soon realize that he can't push any of his shitcoins above Bitcoin.
1371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla will accept $ because they're environment friendly on: May 13, 2021, 05:11:09 PM
I have been a Bitcoin user for 9 years and I have seen this sort of manipulation before.
been in the btc space for 6 years now and i haven't seen this type of manipulation before, at least not at this scale and definitely not by a single person

Not on this scale. OK.. I can agree with you on this. But in the past we have seen several celebrities trying to manipulate the cryptocurrency market, with varying success. Don't forget Craig Wright trying to manipulate the market with his BSV shitcoin (he triggered pump-and-dump cycles multiple times with that coin). After a while, I thought that Bitcoin has reached a stage where manipulation is not possible. But I was wrong and Elon just demonstrated how easy it is to still manipulate the market.
1372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument. on: May 13, 2021, 04:54:34 PM
First time I have been sincerely disappointed by the man.
I'm not at all surprised ... I'm pretty sure that the board of directors showed Elon where he belongs, pointing out how easy it is to remove him from the post of general director. Perhaps some of the Gray Cardinals are receiving first-hand news, and knowing that Musk is facing a lawsuit based on spring manipulations, it was decided to distance himself from everything related to cryptocurrency (in order to preserve the status quo). Perhaps there is another reason, but in any case, I am convinced that Musk's statement is just an excuse, (the most interesting thing is that he posted this tweet ahead of the rainy season in China).  Roll Eyes

If that was the case, then he would have explicitly stated that Tesla will refuse to accept anymore cryptocurrency payments. But his latest tweet was only directed at Bitcoin. And furthermore, it claimed that they are looking for a cryptocurrency which has a lower carbon footprint when compared to Bitcoin. If your argument was true, then there is no point in Elon tweeting about the alternative cryptocurrency. For me, it is very clear. He either wants to create his own cryptocurrency, or want to pump some crypto such as Dogecoin.
1373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees lower than alts on: May 13, 2021, 04:39:16 PM
I had been using Mycelium which is also known for more than appropriate fees. So all in all I think I did pay more than sufficient fees for the transaction.
Well, I can't change the past now so be it. I guess I'll just import the seeds to a different wallet now.
Enough of Mycelium already.

There is no point in using a wallet, if it doesn't allow you to set a fee as per your liking. Bitcoin is a completely decentralized asset and users can set the fee to any level they want. You can even set it to 0 Sat/Byte or 1 Sat/Byte. Now the wallets can't dictate how we set the fee. If they impose any minimum limit on the fee, then it goes against the spirit of Bitcoin. There are a lot of wallets available which allows you to set the fee by yourself. So there is no point in continuing to use Mycelium.
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla will accept $ because they're environment friendly on: May 13, 2021, 12:21:46 PM
For those who are late to the scene, let me recall the timeline of the events:

8th February 2021: Elon Musk announces that Telsa will accept Bitcoin. Admits that BTC is better than fiat cash.
March 2021: Elon realizes that Bitcoin is a truly centralized cryptocurrency and can't be manipulated by anyone (including himself)
April 2021: Elon discovers that shitcoins such as Dogecoin can be manipulated with ease and makes a plan to promote them instead of Bitcoin
May 2021: Elon comes up with the excuse that Bitcoin is not environmentally friendly and asks his followers to use shitcoins instead

I have been a Bitcoin user for 9 years and I have seen this sort of manipulation before. I had a lot of respect for Elon. But now I feel indifference towards him. He is no different from the other billionaires.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Cricket Match-Fixing Scandal on: May 13, 2021, 12:07:50 PM
Match fixing is not a big surprise and we know that it is happening and we will only come to know about the specifics of that only when we see these sort of revelations comes out or as part of investigative journalism. The Pakistan fixing situation came to light which implicated Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir for spot fixing when the mobile phone was given for repairing and the service person found these chat messages detailing the specifics of the fix and that is how they were able to prosecute them, we are yet to hear anyone in the match you mentioned getting prosecuted yet and this is the first time i am hearing about these specific matches.

International cricket involving the test nations is mostly free from match fixing now. It would have happened a decade ago, but not now. The ICC has strict monitoring mechanism in place and this prevents any sort of match fixing from happening in international matches. But I can't guarantee the same, with matches involving smaller teams such as UAE and Zimbabwe. In fact multiple members of the UAE national team were suspended recently, for their involvement in match fixing.
1376  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla stops car purchases with Bitcoin on: May 13, 2021, 11:41:05 AM
Elon Musk is moving in the same direction as that of Mark Zuckerberg. He seems to have realized that he can't manipulate Bitcoin, like the way he is currently doing with Dogecoin. The excuse that energy usage is too high for Bitcoin is to cover this fact. He either wants to rollout his own coin, or want some shitcoin such as Doge to replace Bitcoin. We have survived despite constant attacks from these people for 12 years. And this time also, the outcome will be the same. For Bitcoin, the loss of support from Elon may be a temporary setback. But in the long term, it will do no harm.
1377  Economy / Economics / Re: 3.9million users took part in the Elon Musk poll; What will be Tesla's decision? on: May 13, 2021, 11:22:08 AM
Elon Musk already showed how quickly he could change decisions and how hard it later impact on the market. What is the point of voting for dogecoin to be accepted as a payment for Tesla, if he could later removed that option with a comment like "Dogecoin is a meme coin, or just a joke. But our cars are not jokes. That is why we are suspending vehicle purchase using dogecoin".

Looks like even Elon's manipulation couldn't prevent Dogecoin from sinking. it has lost 20% of its value against USD during the last 24 hours. At least a section of the new entrants to cryptocurrency seems to have realized that Dogecoin is an overhyped shitcoin with no real usage. During the past few weeks, Elon has done a great deal of damage to the cryptocurrency sector. Those corporations which were considering accepting BTC may have cancelled their plans as of now.
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 13, 2021, 11:07:51 AM
I beg to differ, Kohli is being treated the same ways as his other counterparts would have been. He has done nothing wrong, favourism was part of Indian cricket for a long time now and he is doing the same. Most people do not like his aggressiveness but for a long time now we have not seen such Indian captains. He has worked very hard to reach the position that he is enjoying now. There are others who might be better than him, but I do not see him being removed from the captaincy until the team fails miserably.

I am not sure about this. Nowadays, the coach has become a nominal role within the Indian team. Previously it was not so. Damaadji (the coach) manages to hold on to his job by keeping the captain happy. I don't think that he has any other contribution to the team. Kohli doesn't prefer anyone else as the coach, as he don't want to listen to others and undergo rigorous training routines. Perhaps India is the only team which doesn't have a real coach.
1379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Zuckerberg named his goat Bitcoin on: May 12, 2021, 04:48:53 PM
Whatever the message is that he wanted to convey, I rather interpret it as if he is against Bitcoin because he kills the goats and eats them and now he calls one of them Bitcoin. It would have been much more amusing if he called one of the goats "Dollar".  Grin

I would say that this post is more in line with Zucker's political views. He is a product of the fiat system and he doesn't have anything to gain by supporting cryptocurrency. Perhaps like mv1986 mentioned, he is indirectly implying that he wants to kill Bitcoin and consume it. He tried that once, when he came up with his Libra shitcoin. But unfortunately for him, Libra flopped miserably. Perhaps he still thinks that he can destroy Bitcoin, by inventing something which will eventually replace BTC.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 12, 2021, 04:34:14 PM
There are rumors that the IPL 2022 will be featuring 10 teams. The BCCI is in desperate need of cash, as the cancellation of IPL 2021 has left them with a hole of ₹25 billion. The addition of two teams should bring enough money to the board, to neutralize any losses from this year. Also, a mega player auction is scheduled for next year. Since some of the corporate billionaires such as Adani are interested in an IPL franchise, I strongly suspect that one of the teams may be from Gujarat. The second one may be either from Uttar Pradesh, or Madhya Pradesh.
