1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 22, 2021, 01:38:08 PM
Sohail Tanvir and Muzarabani bowled brilliantly. The Multan Sultans were able to win this match mainly because of their superb bowling. Islamabad United's batting lineup was very strong. If Tanvir and Muzarabani had not been able to pick up valuable wickets, Islamabad United would have won yesterday's match as usual.

Surprised with Muzarabani. And it is good to see such a young talent emerging from Zimbabwe. I was thinking that cricket there is dead for all practical purposes, with the departure of players such as Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams. And nice to see so many players from Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and Ireland taking part in the PSL. If I am not wrong, they also had players from Nepal and the US (Sandeep Lamichhane and Ali Khan), in addition to players from the UAE.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 22, 2021, 01:11:10 PM
What a great come-back by Indian bowlers. It's Amazing. Before the start of today's game, England lost only 2 wickets for 101 runs. At the moment they have collected 135 runs, and they have lost 5 wickets. Ishant Sharma and Shami are doing great ball today. India's bowlers are doing great, they needed that performance to draw the match. My prediction is, this match will be a draw.

Yes.. the Indian pacers made use of the damp and overcast conditions. And this is the advantage in having experienced seamers like Shami and Ishant in the squad. These two have 151 test matches between them. On the other hand, the least experienced pacer (Jasprit Bumrah) was quite wayward and conceded a lot of runs. He really struggled to adjust to the conditions. And India's refusal to play warm-up matches didn't helped. Now the question is whether Ishant and Shami are enough to take the remaining five wickets quickly. If Bumrah and Ashwin needs to be brought in, it may give some breathing space to the Kiwis.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Michael Saylor owns 0,5% of Bitcoin Supply on: June 22, 2021, 01:01:14 PM
Well, here is the big problem of Bitcoin from my view, 90% of all Bitcoins are owned by just 1% of the wallets created, this mean that if people buy today they are just doing the rich richer, i know that here we have some of the Bitcoin holders since 2013 but that doesn't change the real problem, Bitcoin is a millonaries game right now, retail investors can't do a shit about that.

https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html

Once again, noobs trying to mislead the users. Do you even understand that the vast majority of these 100 wallets are being owned by exchanges and Bitcoin ETFs? Currently around 20% of the circulating supply is being stored in exchange wallets. That doesn't mean that Bitcoin is centralized. It only means that a large portion of the coins are owned by traders, who make use of the volatility associated with Bitcoin. Will you say the same about fiat currencies such as USD? The Chinese government owns around $3 trillion worth of US treasury bonds. So are you going to argue that USD is centralized? Anyway, United has another opportunity to get two points today, against the Zalmi.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Meme Coin Will Survive Long on: June 22, 2021, 12:51:13 PM
In my opinion only doge will survive because any others meme coins besides of doge just copycat for DOGE. Btw DOGE has a BIG supporter + loyal to support this coin and doge already stay at top 100 cmc for more than 3 years.

This is the biggest joke in this section. Dude, do you even realize that Doge itself is a copycat? In 2013, Jackson Palmer and Billy Markus created Dogecoin using algorithm that was already available in the public domain. There is nothing unique about Dogecoin and the entire white paper and code is plagiarized from other projects. Now it is true that some of the newer copycats have gone ahead by one more level. They are plagiarizing this already plagiarized code. So for me, it doesn't really make a difference whether you are investing in Doge or some other shitcoin. Eventually, they all will become worthless.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative to USDT on: June 22, 2021, 12:41:07 PM
Why can't you trust Binance and their centralized token? doesn't Binance also provide stablecoins suitable for anyone in the crypto space to use?
try to give a reason for this.

You have already included the reason in your post. Like many of the other stablecoins, the BUSD is also highly centralized. This means that Binance can freeze the funds of any user, if they think that such a step is necessary. In fact, due to their design, none of the stablecoins can be 100% decentralized. On the other parameters, I agree that BUSD fares well compared to their competitors such as USDC or USDT. Binance is a more trustworthy exchange when compared to Bitfinex or any of the other exchanges which issue stablecoins.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will The Sorrow of BTC Be The Pleasure of Altcoins? on: June 22, 2021, 12:31:28 PM
Relating this to cryptocurrency, if BTC who is the mother of Cryptocurrencies and who has gained extensive trust ceases to exist today, will altcoins flourish or will it make the people loose total interest in cryptocurrency.

One of the reasons why we had the sharp corrections in 2018 was due to the fact that the altcoin bubble burst at that time. And it looks as if the same is repeating now. Shitcoins such as Doge had gone up to unsustainable levels in the last few months. Some of the coins had gone up by a whooping 100x in the last 12 months. Obviously this sort of appreciation was not going to last, unless there is a corresponding rise in the acceptability and adoption levels. And from what I can see, these parameters have remained stagnant for most of the alts.
1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China’s Bitcoin ban is short-term negative, long-term positive on: June 22, 2021, 07:48:03 AM
These arguments will not remain practical until we remove the Chinese monopoly from the manufacturing of mining rigs. I don't understand why Taiwan or Korea manufacture mining rigs at a rate which is affordable to everyone (electricity is expensive in these two countries, so my preference would be Russia or Vietnam). Still, some diversification is badly needed. For those who are not aware of this, the three largest Chinese manufacturers (Ebon International, Bitmain and Canaan Creative) account for more than 90% of the global market share in Bitcoin mining rigs. Then there are smaller Chinese companies who hold most of the remaining share.
1028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China FUD on: June 22, 2021, 07:32:59 AM
* If China bans mining, that's actually a good news for long term, since it helps on miners' decentralization.
* I've read somewhere a good point: if China has to tell loudly over and over about the bans, they are most probably not too much effective.
* China govt owns their media, hence whatever is said there has 50% chance to not be for real.

They are crashing the market on a regular basis with their FUD, and this makes me suspicious about the real intention. In the past 7-8 years, I might have heard about the so called "mining ban" at least two dozen times. And most of the time, there was a huge impact on the exchange rates and they went down by as much as 40% in some of the occasions. The big question is, who is gaining from these market corrections? With every phase of correction, the coins flow from individual investors to institutions and whales. So it is clear who is benefitting from these episodes.
1029  Economy / Economics / Re: If we have crypto Why people still buy stocks? on: June 22, 2021, 07:17:36 AM
Why people still buy stocks?
If with crypto much bigger profits *
3% daily gain is nothing If you can get 100% profit with Good coins pump.
How the Hell people Even get rich with stocks with so small profits?

Looking at the title, I was sure that it was posted by some noob. Threads such as this one brings down the overall quality of this section. The moderator must have moved it to "Beginners and help" section rather than keeping it in the Economics subforum. Posts such as this one doesn't make any sense and mostly result from a desire to increase post count. I have been a registered user for the last 9 years, and if the scenario provided in the post was true, then I would have been a trillionaire by now. Imagine how much I could have made with 3% daily gain.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 22, 2021, 06:56:41 AM
Things are looking good right now though in Southampton, a little bit of rain but some breeze now to counter the pitch's wetness, updates they're saying weather is looking up and play should start very soon.

Terrible way for me betting wise, but I should have listened to the warnings about the conditions and not doubled down on some bets, my fault of course.

Two of the most experienced batsmen are at crease for New Zealand now (Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson), and they have an experience of close to 200 matches between them. But still, the loss of Devon Conway was crucial. He fell during the last over of third day's play. If he was there, then New Zealand could have been in a much better position. Now they have two relatively new batsmen at crease and they may take some time to get adjusted with the outfield and weather conditions. And this may give some advantage to the Indian pacers.
1031  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter ban, koo opens up. How will this play in Nigeriann business environment on: June 22, 2021, 06:46:34 AM
He compared his opponents to the civil war because of twitter now those who are opposing the government are much younger in age. They do not know how many lives were lost during nigeria's civil war if necessary they will be arranged in the language they understand buhari's tweet immediately went viral the tweet was deleted shortly after the nigerian government has decided to ban the microblogging and social networking service twitter indefinitely.

Nigerian government has a backbone and therefore they took action against external interference in politics. Countries such as United States and India have failed to take necessary action. In general Twitter is facing a lot of backlash from countries around the world, because rather than acting like a neutral platform, Twitter is actively intervening in politics nowadays. In coming days more and more countries will take similar actions to prevent such intervention from foreign actors and Twitter will find itself in trouble.
1032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dumps to $32K as China’s Bank Announced a Ban on Crypto Usage on: June 21, 2021, 04:41:29 PM
$32K is almost the level at which Tesla made their Bitcoin purchase. When Elon triggered the crash with his irresponsible tweets, they were sitting on top of unrealized profits worth $1.2 billion (more than their annual profit for the year 2020). Now they are back to square one. I would like to know what will be the strategy from Tesla now. Are they going to sell their coins, or are they going to stay put? If they decide to dump their coins, then it represents another risk for us. This possible event can keep the prices suppressed for many weeks, if not months.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 21, 2021, 04:16:25 PM
I thought your guess wouldn't be right. Because in the 16th over, after losing the wicket of Maqsood, the players of Multan Sultans were collecting only 5 runs in the 17th over. But they scored 29 runs in the 18th over. With the help of Khushdil Shah's superb performance of 42 off 22 balls, Multan Sultans managed to score 180 runs in 20 overs. This seems to be enough to win.

Well.. looks like it's all over for Islamabad United. They need another 120 runs in 10 overs, with just 5 wickets remaining. Colin Munro got out for 0 in the first over and at that point the chances of any IU win dropped to less than 10%. Usman Khawaja is still there, but he is not someone who is capable of scoring at a rate of two runs a ball (not ignoring the fact that just a few days back he hit 105 from 56 balls). For MS, Sohail Tanvir is looking really good. On top of that, their surprise package Blessing Muzarabani also performed well today.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 21, 2021, 03:59:56 PM
West Indies have already lost 3 valuable wickets to score 102 runs. West Indies need 222 more runs to win. There are still about 69 overs left today. I wouldn't be surprised if the West Indies lost all their wickets today. The match may end in 4 days.

There is no chance that West Indies is going to make a total of 300 plus in their second innings, against a bowling attack that is comprised of Anrich Nortje, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj. They managed just 149 in the first innings (and that too thanks to decent scores from Jermaine Blackwood and Shai Hope). Anyway, now they are struggling at 107/6 and Keshav Maharaj has got his first test hattrick. West Indies trail by 216 runs, while the South Africans need just 4 wickets to win.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 21, 2021, 02:10:04 PM
Actually, both Wales and Switzerland have the same chance of qualifying for the Round of 16, it's just that Wales is a little lucky because they are against Italy in the last match.

When against Wales, Italy rotated players where Roberto Mancini chose to rest the Italian main team. Of course, Italy's performance is not the same as against Switzerland and besides that Italy has certainly qualified for the round of 16 so they don't play too hard.

Wales had a better goal difference when compared to Switzerland. And they maintained this advantage despite losing to Italy 0-1. And Switzerland couldn't close the gap although they managed a 3-1 victory against Turkey. And also remember that the second tier Italian team is much better than the regular Turkish team. Despite all that, Wales managed to put up a strong show against Italy (and they were down to 10 men for most part of the second half). In the end, the Wales team proved to be superior to Switzerland. Anyway, both the teams will progress to the knockout phase.
1036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dumps to $32K as China’s Bank Announced a Ban on Crypto Usage on: June 21, 2021, 01:36:43 PM
Currently, the price is hovering just above 32500$. The FUDs are getting too much these days and especially China is trying to put its miners below their feet. The has rates are going back to mid-2020 levels. In my opinion, this is actually a good thing for the BTC's future. The mining % will be less under the Chinese communist and this will also create more mining plants outside China. So this news might be a blessing in disguise for the crypto community.

It is a blessing in disguise and no one is really comfortable with the fact that 70% to 80% of the mining hash power is concentrated in China. There are several countries with more friendly cryptocurrency policies. But the issue is that the vast majority of the mining hardware is produced in China and therefore it is cheaper to set up mining farms there. In countries such as Russia, the electricity cost is low, but it is expensive to import all the mining hardware from China. But eventually, the miners need to take this step if China remains hostile.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL...until when? on: June 21, 2021, 11:13:12 AM
If you think you have made a profit you can cash it out. This can't be called hold, for me hold it has a target, I personally do hold Btc for the next 5 years. And whatever happens in that year I will cash it, because that's the system I run. Or you can hold with the aim of getting a profit of 20 - 50%, if you don't get it you will still hold. It's simple and very easy to try.

Well.. some people have a target in terms of duration, such as they will hold for 3 years or 5 years. For most of the users however, the target is defined in fiat currency, such as $100,000 per coin or $250,000 per coin. In my case, it is the latter scenario. Both methods have their own advantage and therefore I don't want to degrade any of them. But one negative with the first method is that, since Bitcoin is so volatile, there is a chance that a correction phase may be ongoing at the time you want to sell your coins. So what you will do? Will you sell your coins, or will you change your target?
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dumps to $32K as China’s Bank Announced a Ban on Crypto Usage on: June 21, 2021, 10:55:11 AM
Similar to the previous episodes of FUD from China, the impact of this news will be gone in one or two weeks. All we need to do is to wait. It actually surprises me that China still holds so much influence on the cryptocurrency exchange rates. They have crashed the cryptocurrency prices at least two dozen times and the traders still haven't learnt the lesson. I don't know the mentality of those idiots who dump their coins when some negative news from China appears in the media. Are they so dumb to sell their coins in panic?
1039  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump regrets not banning twitter as he hails Nigerian government for doing so on: June 21, 2021, 10:43:38 AM
Banning some company just because they don't like what kind of news are being made public is wrong. If it were criminal activities I could understand and would support it. But just to block people from speaking their mind is so wrong. It is 2021 and we should live in a free world with rights of free movement and freedom of speech. Humanity should have evolved by now to a world where people can just argue with each without going into extremes.

It was Twitter, which started the ban game first. They banned the account of the Nigerian president. So you can't claim that Twitter is really a torch bearer for freedom of speech. One reason why it attracted a disproportionate response from the Nigerian government was due to the fact that Twitter is already known to use their platform for political intervention. Obviously the Nigerian government don't want a repeat of what happened during the 2020 presidential elections in the United States. If Twitter take an unbiased stand, then they will have a high ground in this dispute. But that is not the case here.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL...until when? on: June 21, 2021, 07:47:39 AM
It is almost impossible to find the perfect timing to sell your asset. The least risky method in my opinion is to go for systematic and gradual profit booking, by selling a fixed portion of your stash every month. I would recommend this, if you hold considerable amount of coins (>10 BTC). But in case you have only 1-2 BTC in your wallet, then this strategy doesn't make any sense (because the amount you will receive after selling the coins will be finished in a couple of years). You need to wait for some more time, and wait for the exchange rates to reach $100,000 or $250,000.
