1541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the blockchain become Too Big to Fail? on: June 09, 2015, 09:27:12 PM
Ripple!!! Thats the keyword for a shouting match  Shocked XRP is totally centralised and created at whim of open labs (or whatever they are called these days). The bitcoin in your ripple wallet is not bitcoin it is IOUs, it depends on a chain of debt. Take your ripples away from here

 Embarrassed

Sorry couldn't help myself.

Blockchain is already too big to fail, for me at least. So it better not
1542  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be another ATH....just shut the fuck up with the doom and gloom on: June 05, 2015, 04:57:10 PM

1544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Top 5 Cryptocurrencies? (2015 version) on: June 05, 2015, 01:36:50 PM
1. Bitcoin
2. Dash
3. Monero

2 & 3 for privacy
1545  Economy / Speculation / Re: THE MERKLE: Bitcoin Price Analysis: The Bulls Are Holding Onto A Broken Wall on: June 04, 2015, 08:53:03 PM
Interesting analysis and a pleasant change from the normal tripe spouted through a bearish perspective. Cheers
1546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big picture.. on: June 04, 2015, 08:42:36 PM

While I like this chart, to be completely honest the placing of bitcoin is very arbitrary. Red squiggle could be placed almost anywhere
1547  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin points of massive price movement on: June 02, 2015, 10:23:29 PM
point of no return down < $186

point of no return up > $253

* I reserve the right to change these estimates at any time of my choosing.
1548  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big picture.. on: June 02, 2015, 09:28:40 PM
Nice thread!

To me looks quite likely that bitcoin rise will coincide with stock market crash and the halving thrown in will add fuel to the rocket.

Obvious in retrospect  Wink

1549  Other / Archival / Re: Ross Ulbricht sentenced to life. Good or bad news? on: June 02, 2015, 09:06:21 PM
Ross was stitched up and presumed guilty before trial. Don mess with facist USA. War on drugs man. Its a war
1550  Economy / Speculation / Re: Slap, slap, slap! on: June 02, 2015, 04:12:27 PM
You guys really don't reallize you're being slapped around by hackers and early adopters. They will keep on doing these 2-5k dumps until the resistance is so low it triggers a cascade. They will buy back at the bottom, wait for you all to pump back the price again in ignorance and repeat.

Handy info thanks. We need more threads like this with handy info and stuff
1551  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the Bear Trend on: June 01, 2015, 09:42:53 PM
Bitcoin has fallen below my upwards rising channel shown with purple trendlines  on previously posted charts in this thread

Angry Angry Angry

however until bitcoin falls below lower green line on this chart I would consider the bottom is still in. This is the time to accumulate

(caveat unless something really silly happens re block size)

1552  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why you should pray for "BIG CRASH" to happen sooner rather than later on: June 01, 2015, 09:23:09 PM
Does this count as a crash ? Not that big. Maybe someone should bump that thread about how to forecast price by looking at your poo
1553  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the Bear Trend on: May 31, 2015, 09:09:42 AM

BTC went from $100 to $1200 in a month..  Non of these trend guru's saw it coming or they'd be retired.

Odds are it will move up or down with intense velocity as it has done many times in the past decimate all trend guru's predictions.

Im betting on big moves up when bitcoin inevitably gets pumped again. But when is the question impossible yto predict. For me bitcoin has more profit upwards than down now, on longer timescales at least.
1554  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the Bear Trend on: May 31, 2015, 09:05:08 AM
"All feels a little omminous to me. Can there be a new lower bottom ? Or can price bust through long term resistance ? Or are we going to watch it stagnate keeping bulls and bears unsatified?"

End of the Bear Trend? Anyone?

*cheeky poke* Cheesy Grin Wink

Latest version of my end of bear trend is looking like this. End of bear trend idea is not invalidated yet.. I like to see to see a bounce up from lower purple line. The way the market is just nowdrifting along horizontally wouldn surprise me tho. Either way there are stern tests ahead with resistance to pass through on red dashed line first

Now waiting for attack from troll bears
1555  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here comes the drop... on: May 31, 2015, 09:00:04 AM
i hope it goes down. because i have some extra fiat money that i didn't know what to do with.
now i am waiting for an opportunity to convert it to bitcoin if the price was right.

but i am doubtful that this can happen, and i am going to have my orders left unfilled
I don't recommend you to buy Bitcoin right now, just wait until this Gavin scandal pass.

You can invest a part on Alts: Litecoin for example.

gavin scandal, isn't changing too much in the price, now one percieve ti as a problem, there will be no big crash for that

this is a good price regardless of everything else

Whats the gavin scandal?
1556  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price prediction on: May 21, 2015, 12:04:39 PM
all those templete, will only reduce the vitality of the forum(because no more new thread will be created), look at the forum is half dead if it was not for sig campaign

1557  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie accounts used for trolling on: May 21, 2015, 11:01:58 AM
Well if the consensus is that we just report these to moderator I will do that but so far when I've treid that I had no success with my report seemingly ignored  Huh

1558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peter Bofinger A Cashless Germany Bitcoin replacing Fiat in germany soon ? on: May 21, 2015, 07:22:26 AM
Sharing this article from JS Kim, although he's more into gold, speaks a lot of sense about bankers..

What's the End Game for the Bankers' Cashless Society?

by JS Kim

In these newsletters, we've been informing you of the extremely aggressive global banker push to enforce a cashless society upon us. In fact, the Denmark Central Bankers have already stated that they will stop printing new coins and new paper money in 2016 and that, starting in 2016, all vendors in Denmark can legally refuse to accept all coins and paper money for their goods and services! A top Citibank banker, Willem Buiter, has been urging the US government and Fed Reserve bankers to ban all cash transactions in the US as has Harvard professor Ken Rogoff, and most recently German economist Peter Bofinger has joined the bandwagon in calling for the Bundesbank to ban all cash in Germany. Is there anyone that is not calling for a ban in the use of cash in this world? And why are bankers so adamant about banning cash after hundreds of years of allowing cash as money but making all other forms of competitive money such as gold and silver illegal? What is happening in globa l currency markets right now that have they become so adamant about banning cash now? For answers to these questions, watch our video below.

Any logical person would conclude that this vocal and aggressive banker-sponsored movement points to enormous frailties and stresses in the current global banking system to which most are still blissfully unaware. And why have these frailties arisen? The answer clearly is because bankers have engaged in so much fraud with their ZIRP, QE policies and  currency wars that the entire existence of the global fractional reserve banking system is now being threatened with terminal failure

1559  Economy / Speculation / Re: I cannot believe the price does not move after NYSE news on: May 20, 2015, 09:40:14 PM
People like ideas that re-enforce their belief. In a bear market bad news re-enforces belief and good news will be ignored. When overall sentiment changes to bullish the reverse will apply. Stock up now while its cheap.
1560  Economy / Speculation / Re: ~!~!~! Bitcoin Price Discussion !~!~!~ on: May 20, 2015, 09:19:38 PM
Some might say using monetized debt is a ponzi, like for example US $
