Can someone point me to more information about how to vote on budget proposals if you have a masternode.. ?

That's not the question I asked. I mean do they have some legal concerns or something?
No, it was some technical glitch. During the time it was stuck, if you looked at the JSON data, you could see that there were a couple of trades with a wrong date stamp. Oct 3 to be exact. So in the last few months, it ignored all other data because it believed it to be too old. Now that we've passed the timestamps of the invalid entries, it's moving again. But why was this glitch IP country-based? Is it something to do with date format, how usa has month first ?

Cryptowatch update: we've added Cryptsy's DASH feeds. The real-time data is coming through, however their API is broken so we have not able to backfill their historical data yet. We have a support ticket open with them but they haven't responded in days. Hopefully they get back to us. DASHBTC: https://cryptowat.ch/cryptsy/dashbtcDASHUSD: https://cryptowat.ch/cryptsy/dashusdThis is awesome. Thanks

The main thing lacking in Dash for me is that sites like TradingView and BitcoinWisdom don't have a Dash feed. Where do you do Technical Analysis of Dash? Do i have to print screen a chart and draw trend lines with an arts package ?
We just added Poloniex's DASH/BTC market to our real-time charting service: https://cryptowat.ch/poloniex/dashbtcWe will add more DASH markets if there's demand. Awesome thanks! Have bookmarked

If you are in the USA, the following link should work normally -> https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cryptsy/drkbtcOtherwise, use 4proxy.us with the link, uncheck "[Default] Include mini URL-form on every page" and you should be good to go. Hi, I can see that chart although I'm not in the USA but it is flatlining since May, is it up to date for you? In that case, use the 4proxy.us site, since the feed isn't showing up properly. It shows a flatline here as well, hence my use of 4proxy.us. Thanks I got it working through that proxy Still wish Dash was listed in TradingView but this is good though. Wonder why it doesn't work in the uK though ? seems strange

I know we get a lot of trolling, but can we try not to do the same thing? There is nothing wrong with Monerodice is just a gambling site, kudos to them. How does that affect Dash in any way? We should not let the trolls make us react in the wrong way, that is what they want.
I think is cool if we want to express our opinion about something, but there is no need to spin a topic as negative when is really nothing. I think being objective and reasonable is the best policy and will reflect good on us even if we get trolling here.
Yes. Monero is a good project and there are many people who have pinned their hopes on it becoming very successful. Good luck to them and I hope they realise their dreams. There's simply no reason to speak ill of it or the people involved in it, REGARDLESS of whether individuals who have some allegiance to that project come into this thread and tell lies about Dash and Dash people. The very last thing we need is tit-for-tat responses. Rise above it people and demonstrate that we're above such banal and unbecoming foolishness. Yes I don't like hearing ill of Monero either. It seems an elegant solution to provide privacy which is afterall a noble aim shared by Dash. I guess its human nature to take sides though, like in my day the feud between Spectrum 48K and Commodore 64 owners. Personally I like Monero and Dash although a little more heavily invested in Dash at this time.

Thanks for the answers to my noobish question, no new coins being made, its all good. Was worried dash was turning into a central bank for a second. phew

|

I've been pondering the new budget and superblock scheme and a bit unsure what I make of it. If I understand this right the masternodes can vote to create thousands of extra dash to be included in a block.. So this will push the number of dash up from 22 million to some higher number? Is that correct? Is this not a bit like quantitative easing that central banks do ? Someone correct me if i got this wrong . Thanks

I'd say we're more likely past despair and now either 'return to mean' or even 'optimism' ..

Wheres a good place to find dash charts. I see its not on bitcoin wisdom anymore..

Revisiting my old thread. Once again, just like when the thread was started there is a lot of pessimism and bearish scenarios. So is the bear trend ended or not? Heres a chart on log scale Despite all the fuss about block size debate and bitcoin fork, I'm thinking price needs to get conclusively below $200 to really go back into bear mode.

Hi, bitcoin wisdom is a great site, however I'm wondering why is Dash not included ? I remember it was there as Darkcoin and until recently there was still a chart for DRK..
Any chance of getting Dash into bitcoin wisdom?

I don't see how the modem can be busted. It works totally fine otherwise, right up to the moment I start up bitmonerod. Nothing else has caused me problems like this. (Including syncing blockchains from other cryptos) But I am struggling to understand how this can be happening, Its very odd for sure.
edit: I tried recompiling with latest code but no difference.. Surprised I'm the only one to discover this problem. Anyway , maybe i'll investigate some lightweight clients or something but I'm not going to go any further trying to get the daemon to run.

Appreciate all the help but still no joy for me I'm sorry to say, modem still crashing ..
Everytime I start up bitmonerod the modem crashes and even fails to restart, crashing again repeatedly. I found that ff I start the daemon, then physically unplug the modem, wait a few seconds then plug it in again then the daemon seems to start synching after first showing lots of exception messages in red font while waiting for modem to come back online. which is the only way I can manage to get it kicked off.
After doing above method when it started synching I did print_cn and found a list of connected hosts which seemed to look good, there were about a dozen of them I think.
So I then tried starting bitmonerod with the exclusive node option as described above picking one of the IP:port in the list but same thing happens, modem crash straight away even with just the one host connected.
I repeated the exlusive node with a few different IPs but that made no difference, still crash straight away.
Makes me think the problem is not being overloaded with too many connections but something else. Perhaps I should grab code and re-compile again ? could there have been another bug in the version I lifted?

In answer to question about router I'm not going through a separate router, (although the modem itself has a built in router).
Thanks for the suggestions will try a bit of troubleshooting later on when I get time.

What happens is when I start bitmonerod my modem will randomly disconnect then automatically turn back on. The lights will go off and then slowly blink back until they are all on and then my connection is fine again. But this keeps repeating and usually happens when I first start too.
I've read online this sort of thing can be caused by some programs (e.g. BitTorrent, certain games and bitmonerod ) can open too many connections, overloading your modem, causing it to crash ?
Could it be my modem is getting overloaded with connections like that described? is there some config setting I can try lowering ?

Its a BT cable modem. Really offputting the way it keeps resetting. I don't really think to continue with it doing this.
Unfortunately starting to look like Monero not for me, yet at least.
I do have some monero but don't want to leave them on exhange is there some light wallet I can use where the monero are held on my machine but I dont' need to run the bitmonero daemon ?
