I bought in at higher prices and now I'm buying in again getting much more bitcoin for my fiat. I don't see it as averaging down though. I'm just taking advantage of prices lower than i thought I'd see. Quite glad of the chance, these prices are a gift

I wonder what would happen if someone put in a $10 million dollar market buy order. There's about four hundred billionaires in the world who could do that without even noticing the effect on their bottom lines, so it seems more probable than your scenario. And that doesn't even count the hedge fund managers (hundreds) who could do it with other people's money.
It doesn't take much to cause the price to go up, that's true, the concept remains great and its highly undervalued for that specially on a global economic scale. Problem is people don't care for that, they care for beer and football. Oh yea and many dollars to get that latest big 4d vision TV. The people are the biggest obstacle to bitcoins success on several levels. Not much seems to be going on to spread the idea of bitcoin by current bitcoiners either. Possibly because it sounds like a ponzi to most people when you tell them about it. The people will miss out and stampede onboard last when all the greatest gains are already made. This is always the way of things

I'm accumulating at these prices, fantastic bargain right now for long term holding.
edit: Although keeping a bit of dry powder for possibility of further price drops in near term

You think bitcoin is the only investment in the world?
Nope I like other hard assets too, gold, silver, land, properties. Steering well away from stock market though. Without going into huge detail I think global economy is not recovering as people in media proclaim and huge turmoil awaits. Hard assets (and likely bitcoin too) will protect from currency events. Anyway, didn't mean to sound rude was going to go back and edit my comment but forgot. Point I'm trying to make is that although you gave great advice when bitcoin was in a huge bubble due to correct but now the market is very different from then. The correction could be over is it wise to continue to steer people out of bitcoin?

In order for something to be be undervalued, it has to have value in the first place.
If you really think Bitcoin has no value, why have you been wasting your time on here for the last year? Entertainment and warning people to stay away after some idiot tried to convince my retired father to invest his retirement money in a "once in a lifetime" opportunity. Saved him like $50K in losses he was about to invest Ive personally saved 9 people from losing about $200K in total by telling them to stay away from bubble highs. Feel great about that There's nothing wrong with telling people not to invest during bubble highs, but to say that Bitcoin has no value is intentionally misleading. I think your continued feeling of self-importance over saving people from their own stupidity is preventing you from seeing Bitcoin in a balanced way, unfortunately. Nope its has no value as in value investing because price is purely speculative. In order for you determine value you need fundamentals. Things like risk adjusted return Besides from that the economics are all wrong. @twiifm i hope they are understanding when they miss out on the next bitcoin rise

Quite hard to see it above $2000 by end of this year

If it were to be dead this forum representing people who believes in bitcoin has to be dead as well. And seeing this forum being so active and lively i doubt so. Plus if you check exchange order book there is still a long list of buy order waiting to grab bitcoin. So tell me, is it dead??
Activity is going down hard here. Only 17 posts in this section in last 24 hours! 2 of those posts was me.
Buysupport is fake in most parts. Liquidity keeps shrinking.
Doesn't look good, mate. IT LOOKS PRETTY BAD! Especially when its repeated in a bigger font

Rather than selling I'm accumulating. Thanks for the coins

Can't say what you should do but If it was me, yes I'd go bitcoin instead.

A year ago I'd say buy gold. Now that bitcoin has more or less corrected from the last bubble, I'd go bitcoin.
ps Silver can go a lot higher than $50 an ounce as upside, dollars today have much less value than those 1980 ones.

The poll seems to be missing a few options between $400 and never ! I'll hold until the very top of the next bubble somewhere above 10k

If you are willing to hold bitcoin for some time, ie a couple of years, then any time around now is a good time to buy. This is the accumulation zone

Only alt that interests me much is Darkcoin.

For me the real thing fuelling bitcoins rise and fall in last year was the same old dependable normal human emotions of fear and greed. Wally help facilitate the last bubble in similar way as quanitative easing has been facilitating the stock markets right now. In case of the stock market fear will soon overtake greed as it crashes, the S&P 500 won't rise forever and will have a fall. In case of bitcoin fear has ruled for past year but greed will start taking more prominence and I think we are already starting to see that. Also in case of bitcoin, for a global form of money with lots of publicity and lots of scarcity, there is still a long way up to go and there is still room for huge bubble to dwarf the ones that came before.

Despite being a perma bull I hope you are right. I'm hoping for further lower prices at these levels (or lower) giving me time to accumulate more. I think we are in the accumulation zone just now.
