821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 23, 2017, 01:24:43 PM
Shifting gears a little bit: question for everyone here...

IF there's a bitcoin blockchain split and the overall value of both sides added together DROPS (as some people say, i.e. before split BTC = $1,000 but after split with say 80/20 hashrate division, the value is not $800/$200 but rather something like $600/$100, or less, due to loss of network effect)... do you guys think the "lost value" will just disappear i.e. go back to "dollars" as leaving "crypto" entirely, OR would it be reflected in increased "dollar value" of ALTS (even as, probably, the relevant alt-value as priced "in bitcoin" will almost certainly decrease...?)

TL;DR above :: if there's a BTC chain split, will those of us with appropriately balanced portfolios of alt-coins (XMR/ETH/MAID/DASH/etc) see the dollar-valuation of that portfolio stay largely the same, or will we need to be ready to DO something other than just ride-out the storm until bitcoin settles down again, post-split...?

Whadda Y'all Think... who's planning for what scenarios here?

This is an interesting question. I think I agree (with keyjockey) who said it will bring down all crypto. Bitcoin and hence crypto in general will struggle. rather than cash out in fiat, I'd prefer physical silver and gold. Its giving me some food for thought on how to rebalance portfolio.  How likely is a bitcoin fork anyway ?
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RIP Litecoin (sub 0.0025 incoming) on: March 16, 2017, 11:42:35 PM
I'm not sure why but threads like this make me want to buy  Wink
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dash > $100 on: March 16, 2017, 11:40:59 PM
Why guys do you think the price is pushing maybe they are converting into dash due to rejeted ETF in bitcoin?

I think it is partly that and also that the 'scam' meme has prevented lots of people realising what Dash has already achieved. Its almost like Dash has only now just been noticed.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 16, 2017, 11:27:58 PM
I can't tell if this is iCey trolling at the protocol level or the normal trolling  Huh
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 16, 2017, 10:10:54 PM

Oh you're still here. What made you decide to become a Dash troll?
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 16, 2017, 09:16:46 PM

$50 to $100 easy... especially since we've just seen a shitcoin like Dash do that ON NO REASON WHATSOEVER.

You forgot to say its a scam and an instamine.

Sometimes I get the impression that your gambling losses are just another form of boating accident Tongue
"Oops, I lost another 5k today at 'the casino.' If only I had bought Monero with the money. But I didn't, just to be clear. Nope nope nope."

Tax evasion. Yeh i guess Monero would be good for that
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dash To 1000$ on: March 16, 2017, 09:09:28 PM
Dash 4 hour chart

828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dash To 1000$ on: March 16, 2017, 09:08:05 PM
1000$ is a little to high for DASH , But I think maybe for Eth which has some value and works .

Eth works. Sure but what about Eth's first DAPP? I recall a buggy crappy app called the DAO causing the whole block chain to fork also meaning the blockchain can no longer said to be immutable. But apart from that it just works. Btw Dash already is a DAO
829  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: March 16, 2017, 08:47:28 PM
To counter the bearish view a bit. No real hint yet that this strong uptrend is ending. A few red candles on this weekly chart wouldn't look bad, even price dipping below 1K

edit: and btw congratulations on this thread passing 100 pages
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 16, 2017, 12:00:39 AM
I've bought and sold Dash at many different price levels, sometimes kick myself remembering back to times when I held more Dash but anyway its been a great ride all the way. 100 bucks is a great milestone. Starting to believe overtaking bitcoin is real possibility at some point.
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 10, 2017, 08:26:38 PM
Icey whats your rebuttal to the post from Macrochip?
832  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 08, 2017, 03:46:14 PM
Any tips from you experts if you have strong fear and strong greed at the same time ?

Gold: A Boombustology Perspective

by Vikram Mansharamani, PhD

http://www.mansharamani.com/opinion-piece/gold-a-boombustology-perspective/

What an awful article. Gives lots of reasons to dump gold. Doesn't say much about aything on war on cash, QE, central banks manipulations, negative interest rates,

Gold has had around 5 years of bear market since the highs in 2011.

Heres the classic bubble..

If gold is in a bubble I think its in Bear trap when the awareness phase is coming to an end. In my opinion this author is trying to make people sell gold at the worst possible time in the 'bubble', whether by intention or ignorance.

And heres gold clearly in a bear trend for last 5 years.

834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF confirmed by sauces on: March 07, 2017, 03:07:58 PM
I have a secret sauce and he says that the ETF is already baked in. I have another special sauce, and he also confirms my first sauce. It's all very saucy. Buy all the bitcoins because soon they will be gone like hot cakes.

Sounds legit
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 05, 2017, 06:23:42 PM

The trolling is almost making this thread unreadable at times. Reminds me a bit of how in the Matrix movies, agent Smith cloned himself all over the world of the matrix and turned it into a world raining and full of only him.  Trolls have done that here. Maybe I'll jump over to the Dash forums, bitcointalk seems to be going downhill anyway, even in the bitcoin sections.

As for Dash, this correction is very much needed after that huge bubble spike. I'd have preferred more gradual growth with a few corrections along the way than that gigantic spike but it is what it is. I think further decline likely but stabilising at higher levels than previously. I only trade a little Dash, most I hold. But ready to buy back if it goes down further.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 04, 2017, 10:51:12 PM
Oh you're back. If you don't like Dash fair enough, no-one is forcing you to be here. At least you haven't been scammed
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 04, 2017, 09:00:35 PM

Excuse me?

This is bullshit accusations?

That's an instamine. That's a fact. There's nothing more "to prove".

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=999886.0 Has that been dealt with "ad nauseam in this thread"?

Debunked hundreds of times? How difficult would it be for you to post some links. After all, with "hundreds" of cases, I'm sure it wouldn't take you but 30 seconds.

What's holding you back from putting real arguments out there to defend your case?

 Huh   Huh   Huh

Are you guys for real?

Now, I'm serious here. This is ridiculous and I'm not going to play.

Good-bye and good riddance.

Good bye.

Just in case you do check back in for replies though. I don't think anyone here denies the instamine happened. I have processed the information, as have many others I assume, and concluded it doesn't matter to me. If Evan gets rich from Dash whats the problem? Maybe you should check out Icelands Aurora coin I believe it was exceedingly fair and might be more to your taste.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 04, 2017, 08:43:17 PM
Correction is finally coming:
Take a look at 2014 pattern its the same:

I think we will see some cheap dash soon, so we might have another occasion to buy from this descending triangle in the coming days.

You might be onto something. Market needs a correction I think, I guess we'll see
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 04, 2017, 07:57:12 PM
Icebreaker is this the trolling at the protocol level you were bragging about or you still doing your normal trolling?

You can't really be surprised people don't want to engage you in friendly chat surely, you repeatedly post about how Dash is a cancer and scam etc I don't think thats a good base from which to debate other issues you bring forward.

But don't worry though you've seen a fraud and shouted fraud (every day) well done.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the darkcoin/dash/dashpay instamine matters on: March 04, 2017, 01:19:58 AM
I asked several times already why is dash rising now . Not a single one dash supporter answered me with sth else than copy pasting an abstract of one of the front pages(several rebranding) from the beginning of this coin(several beginnings). Pure scamcoin. And the biggest proof is actually the dash support from the biggest XMR fuder and monumental idiot Sputnik. The 50% instamine is at second position for me. And I like how he quotes only parts of my posts which lead to different conclusion. So much idioitism nowadays. Dash is going to be next ltc - old laurels shitcoin living on fake volumes.

Dash is rising now because it is delivering a true competitor to bitcoin
