1441  Economy / Economics / Re: Warren Buffet bought “Gold” for the first time. When Bitcoin? on: August 17, 2020, 07:34:46 PM
With this logic, he'd buy "Bitcoin" - a stock of some company related to Bitcoin. Except he'll never do this, because he might view gold as useful, a thousand-year tested asset, but Bitcoin is a volatile, speculative "rat poison".
Most probably because we all know how allergic he is with the crypto stuff Grin.
he's not allergic to it I guess, he's just playing games with you guys, coz u see this man has a net worth of $80 billion, collecting up bitcoin for like 10 bitcoins would not hurt his pocket so bad, it's like just penny to him I can say. I'm trying to sink it in myself that this man isn't going for crypto after all these years that we've had having bitcoin on top. There's just no way!

However, if he really got a true business mind then there's no way that he will not be interested on something which can give him profits. And bitcoin investing can do that! So I think he grabbed/grabs/will grab it (maybe he's not as vocal as the others because he want to take care of his reputation). It is just that Warren Buffet shows hatred to crypto maybe because he was not yet comfortable moving outside his empire Grin.
This is what I like with crypto, it is like a game for every one coz we don't know the person behind an address, we probably been seeing Warren moving his stacks a long time ago and telling us not to buy bitcoin coz he just wanted to buy it cheaper then become silent for a while, dump his coin then spread FUD again, when price decreases he's going to buy again, and the cycle continues making a huge money load for himself.

Maybe after Buffet will be gone his company will get into crypto, especially as crypto will become more established in the coming years.
*knock in the wood Tongue
This isn't as impossible as we thought, we won't really know how things might turned or just flow naturally. Paypal and Visa already had it, why not Warren's company?
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain sending limit ? on: August 17, 2020, 06:41:16 PM
Try to use regular fee although the fee is too high at the moment. If you use priority fee, the fee will always be high. Lately, blockchain.com wallet isn't that convenient as above said. You should use electrum if possible.
Please move the thread to web wallet section.
its not fees problem , because when you calculate +200$ fees , it still won't hit my balance
Nope, there is no way to have a sending limit in blockchain, we got people sending millions of dollars every day without having this problem. This must be due to the transaction fees generated on making the transaction. But I'm wondering why the fee from that small size transaction is kinda high? with that amount it should be a dollar or less than a dollar I think, although the network is congested I don't think the fee will soar that high tho, or you made it priority transaction?
1443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the best coin in 2020? on: August 15, 2020, 10:00:33 PM
Bitcoin.
woah woah woah that was a hell straight of an answer haha

If there is a best coin then that would be bitcoin of course. You are referring to altcoins don't you? coz if we talk about altcoins there is no better than ethereum this year, setting aside those one time skyrocket defi coins ethereum has the best shot on reaching a new ATH this year sitting now at $400, this might double or tripled up in months luckily before the year 2020 ends. If you want a quick profit in the market, you can try defi projects, most of them are profitable once landed in the market. Again 'most' of them, don't be careless and lazy to check things out before entering.
1444  Economy / Economics / Re: China is winning the Economy Wars on: August 15, 2020, 09:13:53 PM
China is always one step ahead of US and Europe.

Although China, US and Europe, have almost the same land mass, you can't deny that China have the most number of population around the world.
And that means more manpower for China, this is why the reproduction rate in China is the highest in the world coz in terms of number of worker and employee they are the leading one. This is the effect of having a business culture in China, more business more worker, more money, and more power. The gap between the number of employee in America and China is significantly high, America has only 130 million employee, while China has 806 million in 2018, billion in 2019. But still China is having a lack of employment since they have the most population in the world. It is not quite proportion I can say.

To my opinion reason for that is their mentality and very different culture, social and political system. It's not the one they should be especialy proud of but obviously it works. They have a very strict defined strategy they follow and they don't care much about human rights and freedom. No matter all the progress and economuc success I don't think this will end well.

When it comes to mentality or mindset, China really prioritize money above else. Being a business-minded person is normal to them, so it is more likely that China is certain to win this economic wars. Their approach towards businesses are really focused on their own success and growth, that's the reason why most of the countries do have a Chinatown.
They live with business in their mind, that's how thoughtful the chinese are. They don't study, have a degree then work, they are studying to be a businessman in the future. Chinese has the money on their head all the time and that's their power.
1445  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Rise Due to Lower US Dollar? on: August 15, 2020, 07:40:17 PM
How the hell you can call it "one main factor" without comparing the rest of them? Don't blindly trust articles on the internet. Their methodology is flawed most of the times without adequate data or comparison to draw any reliable conclusion.
Bitcoin has been increasing for years without dollars weakening,  not until now but this ain't the factor why we are seeing bitcoin price increasing today. One main factor that I can consider why the bitcoin is increasing these days are the beginner engagements with crypto. Crypto has been a hot topic since the beginning of the year, there are lots of events pointing to cryptocurrency good or bad it still affects the crypto community just like the twitter incident that happened month, it creates a buzz and gets to be in the news again for publicity although it's kinda off but for some who understands and has an open mind they got attracted to it giving a boost to some exchange. The new user rate of some exchanges is increasing during this time of pandemic.
1446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why most people think Bitcoin is a scam? on: August 14, 2020, 08:39:13 PM
BTC has been hot topic across the globe and you are saying that most of people think it as a scam. I disagree with your statement, the popularity is increasing and this digital payment ecosystem has amassed many of them.
hot topic coz it is controversial, you know only few people adapts the internet there are more ignorant people in the internet, more than you think of actually. Just take a look at the recent hacking in twitter, even crypto has been sitting for decades still there are people who believes in 'doubler' millions has been scammed from that, and only that simple hacked post. There are people who looks at bitcoin as a scam or bubble coz it is inevitable, that's the curse of bitcoin when it was born, it was made for the majority to disagree, the only cure is time and an open mind.

In my opinion we can't change such negative minded people but those who invested before years are millionaires today what about them? I understand people need to be well educated regarding BTC and how it works else it would have reached its peak.
Rather than convincing people to invest, study, or buy bitcoin just focus on your stuff in the cryptocurrencies. You don't have their money, your money is not on them so why persuade them to jump in? only those who cares and attracted will truly know.
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment plan on: August 14, 2020, 07:10:50 PM
If I have a chance to invest, I would choose BTC and ETH to be part of my major portfolio and aside from that, I would consider doing some research with under the radar projects, mostly low cap, that had been in active development for some time and had shown significant progress and are very promising.

To be fair, I would rather decline to mention any of those projects involved since I believe that with due diligence, anyone should discover those hidden crypto gems. Imho.

What you said is right because btc and eth is most popular coin somebody can invest into due to profit.
I can't advice anyone in this community to adventure into any other cryptoccurrency  for investment.
Now except btc and eth.
These two are great, a sure profit when you hold long term but if you are more of a risk taker type of investor then you should look at Defi projects right now coz this projects are on fire right now and you'll see a lot of them growing in price in past couple of months, incredibly high. The OP said that ethereum for him should only occupy 10% of the total investment in which I think he will change his mind when he see the price of ethereum right now. Sit tight and watch bitcoin and ethereum dominating the market this year, ohh I mean every year  Grin
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is This Site Legit? on: August 13, 2020, 10:14:46 PM
There are accusations with 1xbit and they haven't clear any thing this is why I'm skeptical on that review website, but if they do belong on this one I'm sure they paid it. They gotta do what they gotta do for an advertisement. Now the OP is asking for legitimacy of the site, if the website accepts a fake review on this one I'd just say be careful  Wink

I'd rather play in the old casinos with lesser bonuses on the newer ones with this kind of reviews, honestly.

1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling going to be regulated on: August 06, 2020, 09:43:53 PM
Since online gambling is preferable during the pandemic the government most likely had put their eye on it because there's no way they can get taxes on land-based casinos.
Definitely they are eyeing for any direction on how to get a tax since most of people these days are not on their job to be productive and pay for taxes especially in countries that have been experiencing a high unemployment rate like America. And talking about gambling, gambling is one of the highest tax income for the government, houses that pays for millions of dollars each year to operate is the heart of many city's economy.
It really makes sense if they start to work with online gambling regulation.

I'm wondering why the government only had this kind of thought now that online gambling is gaining more demand. They might actually start focusing on regulating online gambling  instead of land-based casinos since they will be getting more taxes on it.

On the other hand, this might both help and put a burden on gamblers since they will have to provide proof that they can afford playing on casinos further if they will exceed £100 losses.
I think there will be more of online services taxation that would happen in the future since most of us rely on the online, especially when it comes to our transactions every thing under the law must be taxed for the government and its sector to operate. Not only talking about the online gambling, but also the other services that we use online like netflix and youtube.
1452  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stock/Forex Trader and Cryptocurrency Trader on: August 05, 2020, 08:37:52 PM
The only difference that I can see is on how it will be looked as if you are a trader from forex/stock because cryptomarket is a whole different game, if they do approach it just like what they are doing with the stock then they will get a hard time learning how to utilize it, it will be easy for them otherwise. Volatility is the main concern here, we all know that the volatility of these two market is different on which the crypto market has a higher volatility than stocks. But then as being a trader, especially when you are a experienced one I think they will get how the market works easily, I haven't traded stocks fully yet but I think the terms are completely similar to each other.

1454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fill your bag with caution on: August 01, 2020, 08:20:54 PM
I prefer the short and medium term for now.
How are you able to make medium term when market is wild? you don't even know if it is medium or not coz the market is behaving uncertainly. You will not lose when you hold long term.

maybe you don't really like to see charts in the near future, so you decide to keep them for a long time.
but for the short term all coins can be bought and sold I mean you don't need to think about the fate of these coins for a long time just speculation a few days ago to sell them back.
Short term is for traders who want to maximize the profit out of short time period, this is preferably to do now as most of the coins are pumping especially with ethereum and XRP these coins are showing good results for the past week for short term traders, and bitcoin for the long term with target price limit. Don't hang yourself too much, don't let your hope destroys you this is what most of us are doing as mistake, we are hoping for so much without studying the market. It's never wrong to sell earlier than the others, secure yourself but don't regret.
1455  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible solution for economic go-slow on: August 01, 2020, 07:21:44 PM
Considering the economic collapse of the global market as well as the grown countries, there is no big crash with the cryptocurrency market.

Good to see that there's no major impacts inside crypto market even
the entire economy around the world
are suffering right now
We can't really tell if there is an impact made by the pandemic towards the crypto market, I know there is somehow but we can't have any data that will disclose the information bout the relationship of the pandemic and the crypto market.

With comparison to the cryptocurrency market at the beginning of the year to the present market situation  what has happened is growth.

Categorically Yes, The market is still positive even we are experiencing this pandemic.
I agree, we have seen such positive vibe with the market even we are facing a pandemic now, it seems that the weakening of the fiat is the strength of the crypto. People now might be choosing crypto over any asset even gold. this is just an assumption of mine.

Only thing, the predictions from experts didn't come true. If the pandemic attack hasn't taken place we could've experienced a bigger growth.

There's a big growth indeed if this pandemic didn't happened as halving
take place this year.
Bitcoin now at $11K, ethereum at $340, XRP at 0.28, Green market ahead!
1456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pension Fund - Thoughts? on: August 01, 2020, 06:59:12 PM
Not a new idea, there was already a thread about this before but it was appreciated bringing this up again for discussion.

Still my thought for this is that, it is risky, why? simply because of the volatility of the market it may seem that the market is going well these days but just think about it, there are dark days and no one can be sure when it will happen, that day might come the day after a person retires, and what he expect him to receive is a full of his regular payment for most of his working life. Retirement investment should be secured, it's better not to make profit out of it than risking it in a very uncertain market. Maybe this is going to be good if the company would still shoulder the losses if ever.

Don't wanna see an old man living miserable.
1457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump has declared that he’ll ban Tiktok over privacy concerns!!! on: August 01, 2020, 05:48:54 PM
Tiktok should be banned as it's not secure and sells the information to China. It could have been a great platform to promote talented artists but unfortunately people later started uploading videos where they were promoting guns and other violence. Such platforms need to go through moderation.

Most of the users of this Tiktok app are youth so they are not that knowledgeable about the security. Once they see that the Tiktok app has a lot of users, they will also use it just to come up with the new trend. Some of the Tiktok users are not that aware about the hazards of social media. They should make another app that is more secured than this app if they still want to showcase their talents in the social media. Privacy should be prioritized as it can make your life at risk.
1458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Things are looking good on: August 01, 2020, 05:00:55 PM
Some believe that the pandemic was designed to destroy many economies... It was all very profitable for somebody! Like buying cheap stocks or starting a business...

Somebody who is not even really suffering from economic crisis due to those businesses who continuously operates amidst the risk of this pandemic.

It is really hard to start a business during this time that people are not safe to go outside, shopping, eating, and travelling in all of the existing establishments.

We should still not to become confident about the immunity because there are people who don't really have a strong immune system. It is still not safe to go anywhere, so the vaccine is still needed, I don't intend to scare anyone but we should have something to fight the virus. To reopen those businesses permanently without any problems, we really need to have a safer environment, by that, we can now recover from economic crisis little by little.
1459  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is the biggest problem with cryptos on: August 01, 2020, 02:39:33 PM
There is nothing we can do about that third party inclusion either in person, fees. Palpay charge some fees. Some fees in certain things or transactions we do that we think are free are charged in data usage. It cost something whichsoever way we look at it from.

We should deal with those third parties because they are the one that process our transactions immediately.

Those fees really matters to all of us but if third parties don't exist, the government will not have any benefits from the use cryptocurrency.

Governments do not agree with those transactions that do not contribute to the progress in the economy so those charges are only normal. The only thing where charges, fees and third party will become serious is if it undergo excessive increase in its price. But most of us are still rooting for a free charges for a much better quality of cryptocurrency transactions.
1460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kobe Bryant's death has been used for scamming. on: August 01, 2020, 01:34:22 PM
Just do not understand what do people get by doing all this things, it’s the money they want it , so isn't doing the ethical hacking could help them and they will also get fame by doing good things and helping sites/apps etc by doing ethical hacking instead of this types of things. Now scam is increasing and very easily you can read anything related to such types of things happening around the world.

When money talks, people will do anything about it because the world revolve around money.

If you don't have money, you are useless.
If you have money, you are powerful.

That's the mentality that is in the mindset of most of us, investors, that's why we are working so hard just to earn profits everyday.

That's the reason why they are so good and creative at stealing your money. These pathetic human beings are just stealing money from everyone using networks and software. That's the reason why I used two, hardware and software so that I have different wallets where I can store my money. Just don't click any suspicious link in a website or any suspicious ads because it can manipulate your computer's system. Always remember that hackers and scammers are everywhere, so be aware.
