1361  Economy / Economics / Re: Enough with BITCOIN SAVE us or the economy on: September 17, 2020, 08:07:59 PM
There are some point that people are way too off asking about bitcoin possibilities, we can easily distinguish those as we can see the keywords "save" or "can bitcoin...." Even me I think of it myself, but does not come to ask here in the forum coz basically you can answer it with yourself. Although we can't blame people for being a huge fan of bitcoin that they think this is going to fully change the world. With a fast pace changing of things, bitcoin will just become an alternative investment, no mass adoption of being a currency.
1362  Other / Meta / Re: Isso é um bug? on: September 17, 2020, 07:33:06 PM
I think OP should just lock this thread.
Ohh so sorry, forgot to do lock it.

Why is this discussion even happening? Send him a warning? Disallow that? The heck? Cheesy
Nah man, I'm just trying to clear things out for me, I thought it was something else.

What's wrong with changing the title of your post purposefully or not? People don't even pay attention to that since 99% of the time the title is just "Re: <original topic title>". Stop making a big deal out of it.
As I said, it is not much of a deal but I think it is unnecessary. Anyways we are free to do anything we want here as long as we don't cross the line of rules in the forum. I'm now locking this thread  Smiley
1363  Other / Meta / Re: Look at this on: September 16, 2020, 07:18:47 PM
I'm not sure about that but i think that "noorammak" he enabled automatic translator in his browser
and this started since 31 august 2020 after 2018!
No, the reason why I saw that is that he is changing the thread subject which has nothing to do with the browser language. On what purpose we don't know but we guess it is for acquiring local merits from his local board. Nevertheless, I find his action unnecessary especially when his intention is just to get a merit from doing that, still the post should be quality enough to be merited.
1364  Other / Meta / Re: And this? on: September 16, 2020, 04:34:11 PM
Topic subjects can be changed to contain whatever someone wants. I just changed mine to "Like this."
Ohh I thought it was on me coz I'm on a English thread then sees it, it's weird when he does that.

I think that user is deliberately doing that for his fellow Vietnamese, but then English is a universal language that everyone should know how to understand, speak and write, even me I'm not an English native speaker. Though it was not a big deal.

1365  Other / Meta / Is this a bug? on: September 16, 2020, 03:59:02 PM
Sorry if this already been talked here, but I didn't see one so I wanna here you guys

I didn't change anything on my browser, the language is English but this happened to me just now. I tried opening different threads but it seems fine.

looks like Vietnamese/Indo language

a minor bug that has something to do in the forum? or with my browser?
1366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bị cáo buộc Coinbase ngăn cản 1,000 khách hàng từ việc gửi tiền đến các hacker on: September 16, 2020, 03:45:44 PM
Coinbase shares are great, but it's best to leave traders accountable for their actions. They should only advise the customer, they do not have the right to prohibit their customers from transferring money anywhere if their customers have made no mistake.
Coinbase clearly manipulate their trader by doing that although they did it for good sake. They are like saying ' don't do shit coz we can see everything up here and we can block you from doing that', and it made me think that they can label any address as a fraud and if you transfer funds to it they can easily refrain you doing it which might be a conflict for some in the future. I can agree that they should leave enough accountability for their users.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TOP FIVE SECRETS OF MAKING IT BIG IN BETTING WORLD on: September 16, 2020, 12:40:52 PM
It's not really a secret, the topic title should be change into the "Five Must Follow in Gambling or Betting World, that we Didn't Do", we all know the basics yet once we are playing and doin gambling we tend to forgot all the rules, plans we set in mind and just keep on playing based on what the casino is giving in terms of card or in sports without really thinking how to win or when to stop, we tend to just rely on luck than to think we'll or got pressured thinking how to win that sometimes attracts losing once we already start playing.

Yeah,,, nothing secret at all. The last time I got told a "secret" was by a friend who told me if gambling and you're feeling anxious like usually do when you are losing, just close your eyes and pinch the flesh between your thumb and middle finger for a few seconds as painfully as you can. Guess what? Nonsense for me it did not work lol.
That might not work for you but for others that is effective. Psychological tricks might be helpful too in gambling especially when we got anxious, we tend to make silly decisions, thus psychological tricks will help to trick the brain. Sometimes when I feel weird of anxious, I just eat a gum, I knew it since high school that while eating your brain is at rest mode and does not sense any danger so chewing a gum is tricking your brain that every thing is alright though you already lost a lot  Grin

Discipline is all my friends and depositing money you MUST KNOW to lose.
Discipline is always the key, but greed sometimes is helping, better to be consistent at all times.
1368  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk's historical important changes on: September 15, 2020, 08:11:01 PM
It's been years since the merit system was introduced to the forum, I should have posted more so I could be a hero/legendary member before it got hard to rank up haha anyways it does not matter to me at all. Probably the change that got me bother sometimes is when I open links and I forgot to hit CTRL, it goes to different page and not tab  Roll Eyes

Changes should be adapted, that's how we progress !
1369  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and money total cryptocurrency market Question on: September 15, 2020, 07:59:38 PM
The question is too personal for us to know coz it actually depends on the owner of the company, any company owner has the right not to disclose where his income goes. This is just a pure speculation of mine, business owners of such huge companies spend their money by buying luxurious things, could be a sofa bed embedded with diamonds  Huh they are buying tangible asset of course, they already have enough of the internet assets  Wink
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 15, 2020, 07:23:20 PM
Children in my opinion needs to be nourished in an environment that should be susceptible to learning and gives them a sense that learning and reading and studying are not boring endeavors but rather important things that they will need to do in order to succeed in life.
But the thing is everyone of us has its own diversion, it is inevitable for some places that kids are doing illegal stuff for food and money coz that's the way they have not chose to do but that's the only way they can have it. Especially in people living in some isolated places, they don't even know that some of their activities is illegal but the government has its consideration towards less civilized people. But for people that is living in the city, there's no excuse of doing such crime.

Gambling is an adult activity and should stay that way. Children really need to prepare their lives in becoming responsible adults.
Indeed. But Imma tell you, it will really depend on the environment of an individual.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VALORANT Betting on: September 15, 2020, 06:36:18 PM
Valorant, it's something new first person shooter right? Well honestly I don't have trust on new launched game maybe a year after since mostly new launched games still have some problems, glitches, bugs or something like that maybe a year after or some months after good updates I could consider betting on it.
Valorant has been a beta game for like a month, there are plenty of players international that was invited to play the game produced by Riot Games. I can agree that there are still bugs and glitches but that will be paved through the days, the game itself cannot detect the bugs, actually every game has a hidden bug that is waiting to be discovered. I'm playing Valorant since it was released and I can say that the game will take over the CS:GO in the long run.

It's great to see E-sports getting bigger and bigger having a lot of tournaments lately really boost the E-sports.
Indeed, in fact there are speculations that it should be in the olympic games  Shocked
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 15, 2020, 05:56:25 PM
I think that many gamblers like skill based games, including me.
Yeah I like it more than mini games but there is something in mini games on casino that will make you love it. Playing skill based games might vary from my mood, sometimes I don't feel like playing them coz I'm too dazed or some sort of, but I really love it especially Poker.

It's a kind of challenge and you get a feeling that the final result depends on you after all and not only on luck. It's also a test for your skills and capabilities so I guess there will be a lot curious players interested.
But to be honest you can show more of skills when playing physically which is the huge difference in playing with casinos online though there are interactive mode of playing, still it is immersive when playing in real.
1373  Economy / Economics / Re: money is root of evil on: September 14, 2020, 10:27:00 PM
instead of money we should have vouchers to buy everything from the shops goods foods

and everybody will get eqaul ammount of them the vouchers

its good idea?
I thought you are studying economics haha lol the voucher you are saying, I mean your suggestion as means of buying goods is also a money. You are just going to replace fiat currency with vouchers as if it is not pegged 1:1 to a currency. People will work for that 'voucher' like fiat money, people will run after it like fiat money, people will die for it like fiat money. We can achieve perfect equality in the society, in any aspects that's for sure.
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc future on: September 14, 2020, 09:19:25 PM
Bitcoin is not that so threatening for the government, sure they can do this as several countries already prohibit activities that involves bitcoin but the thing is they cannot be certain if someone is using bitcoin from their country because bitcoin is highly accessible. The growth of bitcoin already proves that people want what the bitcoin has, and from that fact alone we know that bitcoin has a future.
1375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing your Crypto in Exchanges is better than using Cold Wallets! on: September 14, 2020, 08:41:54 PM

The first main reason is that exchanges pay you an interest rate on your Crypto whilst cold wallets pay none.

Only some of them. Coinbase doesn't pay you anything. Some exchanges like yobit are really shady. Holding money on exchange in hope of earning 1% a year is really not my thing.
That's the way of saying exchanges that they aren't that really safe compare to cold storage but we can give you incentives for storing your assets to our platform. And yes, it may vary on the exchanges, some are offering 1% annually. If you really prefer having this, than safe storing then you can go with Binance, they are really the ones who made it first I think.

Secondly, we definitely believe that more and more users would move into hot wallets than using cold wallets, Ledger.com could become the next "Netscape" and then if your hardware device gets faulty and you would need support from Ledger.com - then you might find yourself in trouble. It's not a wild guess, this could seriously become the reality in the next few years.
If my wallet breaks I'll still have the seed. Do you have the seed for your exchange wallet? Wink
Okay let's stop this which is which comparison, just weigh it personally, if you want your asset to have an interest like annual interest then go with exchanges that offers it, if you want to keep your asset on your own leave yourself a cold storage, these two have advantage and disadvantage and to be honest the security is in our own hands.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another DeFi exit scam just made off with $20M in investor funds on: September 13, 2020, 09:18:02 PM
Is it surprising that among the many DeFi projects, there are also some which aren't legit  Huh
This isn't surprising at all lol scammers are always watching the market, and this hype made them overwhelmed to get into it. Besides, creating token these days is so basic, like af, you can create your own advertise it yourself, get an investor and voila. As I see, this is going to be a ruined era for projects, the hype will be over as soon as investors gets jacked.

To me it isn't surprising at all. This hype about DeFi unfortunately can cause so many people to lose their money. The industry is so ludicrous that if not carful you could blow your money in minutes. The issue is that many people don't go for large and trusted projects.
Imagine a shitcoin being pump out of nowhere just because of the hype. The projects these days are not even for long term lol.
1377  Economy / Economics / Re: ECB Lagarde: COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated this trend towards digitalisation on: September 13, 2020, 08:18:44 PM
I know that it sounds very positive, but it also accelerated the growth on governments creating their own crypto, the so called CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) as well. Of course, digital payments doesn't mean crypto adoption in general as well.

Most central banks will create or co-create with other central banks their own stable coins. There is no doubt about it.
There has been some reports that many countries now are in trial with their digital currency banks, worth to mention the digital yuan that has been circulating already in some parts of China and in South Korea, there is a city where they utilize the use of their own city coin.

Problem is that people will not use them that much. Not in a long term.
Depends on the case, if government wants to fully implement it then the people should follow it especially now that we have a pandemic.
In my country, an uber like company does not take any cash as payment now, instead they take credit cards on in app credits.
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: September 13, 2020, 07:15:48 PM
I do not think there is a perfect or complete book that teaches bitcoin. Everyone who have knowledge about bitcoin now did not learn it through some specific book or something.
Bitcoin emerged in late 2017, the full recognition of bitcoin was established in 2018 and I don't think that there are already a book that has the bitcoin as the main topic, add the fact that technology is always changing, once a book about bitcoin is published, within a year or two it will be outdated if and only if there are any progress happened to it. The best thing to look for any information right now is the internet, massive information lies on the internet rather than the book.

Bitcointalk is also another great way to get started. A quick search of 'learning bitcoin' will fetch quite a number of threads related to this. Trust me, there are several threads on this.
A forum like this is a tool for us, we can learn plenty of things in here, get the latest updates and we are able to know the hot topics and projects.

1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in India on: September 11, 2020, 06:33:56 PM
In India the development on blockchain is going on one side. On the other side government isn't that supportive to the cryptocurrency related activities.
Yeah it seems harder for crypto to be accepted first by the government of India, there are a lot of news of crypto involving India though and they are very indecisive where to put cryptocurrency, they keep rolling the dice for the crypto. But as far as I know they are doing good in blockchain, there are projects with blockchain in India that does not need crypto to work, most probably putting blockchain in another field.

The committee that's been assigned the role to analyse the need of cryptocurrency suggested the acceptance with limitations. By the time government isn't ready to go with the decision of the committee.
Sure it will be done with limitation, government does not want anything run wild in their country that would cause chaos for its people and the government itself.
