1401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin such a big risk? on: September 04, 2020, 08:03:05 PM
Anything will have a huge risk if you don't know what you are doing but if you will start researching first on how crypto works and how you can lessen the risk in investing to bitcoin then you don't have to worry a thing.
Even if you do a lot of research if the market does not favor your decision you'll always end up being in the last. I agree, you can lessen the risk in investing with bitcoin when you already know the fundamentals, but as soon as you get into it you'll notice that it gets complicated as you get closer to bitcoin. Whether you know a lot about bitcoin or not, the risk in investing with bitcoin is high because it is decentralized.

Bitcoin has a bright future and many believes it and if you are planning to put your saving to bitcoin then you are not in a wrong place but you should make sure first that you already know the basics on how crypto works and also to bitcoin.
The potential of bitcoin is great, however what my view on it is that it will fade when new coin comes, a lot better and improved but it will depend on the people if they really want the bitcoin to succeed, in the end people behind the price of bitcoin will decide where bitcoin will go in the future.

1402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Supreme leader's twitter account hacked - but that's not the main issue! on: September 04, 2020, 07:27:45 PM
Twitter hackers strike again! The twitter account of India's supreme leader Narendra Modi is hacked to seek bitcoin payment. But that's not the main problem! See below,
If I were the supreme leader, I'd rather do a public announcement with regards the hack incident, apologize and then proceed to man hunting.
What do you think they did? Of course it will be on news, authorities will do some investigation, cyber checking and then will hunt the man down. The supreme leader don't have to do it by himself, he don't need to appear on TV just because of this, the media will do the work here. Besides, he is not the one who handles the twitter account most likely it is a secretary's job.

That's it! Because if they will grant the hacker's demands, it definitely shows a sign of weakness of their government against cyber criminals. Besides, it was only a Twitter account, creating another one is not hard at all Grin.
I can't really see where you are getting this, it is just a matter of shallow thing. Government will not give anything of what the hacker asked for, they are not fools, coz the only thing that the hacker can get from twitter is his followers. Now what they can do is to warn people as soon as possible about the incident, report the incident to twitter support and let the account be recovered. No need to create a new at all, once twitter confirms this, they can easily get it back.
1403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: you're making bitcoin complicated on: September 03, 2020, 10:31:41 PM
this is strange, because in my opinion when a person enters the investment world that person is obliged to do a lot of research on the investment that he wants to make, and in this a lot of research the person will find hundreds of explanations that some may be difficult and others easy that in the end the person will end up understanding how bitcoin works,
The only problem these days is with people who jumps in into bitcoin because of the potential money they can gain from it, I'm pretty sure most of newbies in here only heard about it because of what happen in 2017 and because of the bitcoin's price, when in fact they don't know a single thing about it, not even how it really works. This problem has been there for like years now, we are getting the same question every week. It is very strange how people be coming here without anything on their mind. Read and read, and read!

today there is youtube that despite being full of people who only post videos to gain views there are still people who post good content and easy to understand
If some of you guys isn't fond of reading, you can visit youtube for video visuals which is more easier than reading texts in article or blogs.
There is a study says that watching tutorial videos is more effective for 70% of people in the world, and it is pretty accessible because of the internet.

If I'm not mistaken this user already has predicted an event, and he's studying western economics, that's what I can recall from his username.

Predictions can be correct or not, why do we need to say we don't need your prediction? if you don't want to hear anything from here then you could just ignore.

And for you OP you could have just at least a data provided to partially support your claims, that could have been more appealing to those people above.

1407  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it alright to invest with bitcoin at the current market price? on: September 02, 2020, 05:56:31 PM
I think if you are a big investor you can invest here anytime. Problem is maximum here for short time invest high dividends.
I must agree, if you are a holder then you can't lose when you don't sell with negative gains. The only time investors and traders lose is when they sell, that might be the biggest enemy of being an investor and trader not just with bitcoin but with every coin in the market. If you want to make money with bitcoin these days, I must suggests you the leverage trading with bitcoin where you don't really trade bitcoin instead you're trading a contract. Binance or Bitmex is great platform for these OP.

But actually crypto investment is not like that as this market is very much fluctuating. Here you have to invest for long term plan so that if market dump any time you can wait. Only think onetime how market pump from 4k$ to 12k$ so when market come dump and you sell all your holdings by upset you will be loser.
It is all time given that the market is moving sideways every time, this is why holding will never let anyone lose especially with bitcoin. But this does not mean that you can just inject anytime of the day, try to study first the data for a week or month so you can have the lowest price possible for a maximize profit.

1408  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet on: September 02, 2020, 05:10:30 PM
I'd say Binance is a good place and you can also get nice interest % paid on your balance if you just store it there without doing anything with it (unlike cold wallets that don't pay interest).
Keeping your bitcoins in an online 3rd part service is risky, there have been some reported missing funds in Binance, good thing is that Binance is taking all the responsibility when there is something bad happen to their service just like what they did last year when hackers got their security off guard and took millions of dollars in bitcoin.

I'd still say that cold wallet is the safest way to store your bitcoin, remember when it is offline nothing can touch it but you, however there are still problems in keeping cold wallets such as being stolen or missed place but that will depend on the user on how he can safely manage to secure his assets.

I'd rather go with cold wallets than Binance  Cheesy

Look what you did, made him leave: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5272956.0
Glad he's leaving, or is he's just resting for a while? Mods can we make sure that this guy will be off completely lol he can't just run wild here calling anyone Chinese communist and suck a black dick. I know we have different views on things, maybe mods don't find it really trolling so I guess we need an ignore button.

He must have a grudge towards China, in what reason I don't know but he's taking it too off here in the forum that I think he needs some help, A psychiatric help. I'm not offended even if he told me to 'suck a black dck' , I pity him actually. If he doesn't get banned within days, just give him no damn, that won't stop him but that will make him feel unwanted, he'll probably leave as soon as he feels it.
1411  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suggestion to Make at least $300 Worth of Bitcoin per Month on: September 01, 2020, 08:04:30 PM
Hi guys!

I'm looking for ways to make some Bitcoins using legitimate ways.
If you're here for free bitcoins, I'm telling you as early as now that it is nearly impossible or if you do you'll get just $1 worth of bitcoin in a month in faucets. The forum have campaigns for projects which you can see on the Services, but you can't participate because you're only a newbie in rank.

You can try in social media bounty campaigns, but you aren't getting any bitcoin from those, you'll earn their own token which has a value in the future.
The only legitimate ways to earn bitcoins is via trading, get yourself to learn that before getting broke.
1412  Other / Off-topic / Re: It's time to destroy China, don't buy anything from them ,don't deal with them on: September 01, 2020, 07:19:17 PM
OP, I'm at the point where I'm deciding whether I should open a thread in Reputation about you and your low-quality, near-incomprehensible threads to solicit the community's opinion about how to proceed to get you to stop.
Open it, I think he's really trolling with his recent topics. This is clearly a racism towards Chinese and he should be responsible for any sanction.

I'll support it willingly  Smiley

There are enormous differences between China as a country, the citizens of China, and Chinese living in other countries.  Similar to Al Queda's feelings towards the US, if you don't make correct distinctions between these different sets of people, your message just gets interpreted as racism/nationalism/terrorism and no reasonable discussion takes place and nothing gets solved.

So please stop creating these idiotic threads, for the love of Vod.
Who paid this guy? he's been opening a lot of threads, I can see it in the first page and to be honest most of them are non-sense. I remember one of his thread claiming that Russians and Chinese are responsible for the death of American citizen in a protest.

And this post of him, he even put a music link I thought it  was the video to support his claims.

Clearly trolling.
1413  Economy / Economics / Re: Remote Working and Inequality on: September 01, 2020, 06:31:02 PM
For starters, it's quite debatable whether it raises productivity or not.
Some argues that working at home is less productive than the office or real workplace due to some distraction and it is true in different cases. We live on different place, different environment which is the most factor of working remotely. If a person lives near the highway with broken windows, as he hear the noises outside could be a distraction, and there are more ways for people to be distracted especially if you got responsibility at home, a kid of example.

I've seen a lot of software companies having to delay their products citing remote work as the reason. And even if in general it's positive, it might be only a small improvement, so the companies might choose to not adopt it after the pandemic ends.
It's better to be delayed than risk their employees lives, I think it's one of goodness of some companies considering their employee's safety.

Next, this switch to remote work doesn't mean that there's suddenly a lot of new job offers. What happens is that existing jobs were made remote. If economy will continue to sink, there won't be a lot of new jobs, remote or not.
Some are even decreasing their workers, I've heard some companies in my area firing half of their employees, and the half will work remotely with their assistance for the things they need to work at home.
1414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What area of bitcoin participation is easiest to work with? on: September 01, 2020, 05:59:36 PM
I dont have much experience with mining but I think I prefer to do trading altcoins to earn bitcoin. Bounty hunting is also a fair share but if you want to maximize reward, trading is the best as long as you know the right entry and exit point.
Nah I'd say bounty hunting sucks these days, you can hardly find a project that is legit and paying ones, I know there are projects that pays weekly but the expense of that is the price will dump each week giving you lesser and lesser fair. Mining on the other hand is expensive, you need equipments and all, place for the entire rig and maintenance.

The expenditure on trading is your money
As for the rest I think it is the easiest to do, you just need some time to learn it.
1415  Economy / Economics / Re: New life and 2 lind of society new Reality working poor on: August 31, 2020, 10:06:19 PM
I can't really see what you are trying to picture out with this coz I'm quite sure that you've never experienced surviving a day without eating. I'm trying to say that you haven't experienced being poor yet, coz you don't know what's the difference between having an opportunity for the different class. It's not easy to get rich for a poor, they need some time to get in there and that has to do with the right opportunity and I can literally tell you that it depends on their environment. Tell this to poor people that lives in a rural area, or in a less civilized place and they will think that you're a crazy dude.
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap on: August 30, 2020, 10:32:18 PM
Man I really got frustrated just earlier coz I paid $6 for my transaction that arrived for about 30 mins, like what is happening to ethereum network. What's bothering is that I only got a small size transaction happens to be transferring just $3, I need it instantly so I chose ethereum little did I know that it would costs me more than using bitcoin for time and money. Now if you gonna tell me why I don't wanna trade in uniswap this is why.
1417  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold Price Prediction & its impact on cryptocurrencies on: August 28, 2020, 09:57:01 PM
I have seen a lot of cool gold-backed coins, and there was one I saw that is backed by several precious metals, and it’s really cool. I just have to take my time and look into them before investing.

Why dont you simply buy Gold? You hold gold then without any risk that that company that issued token backed with gold will scam you. You will have Gold in your hands.
I was wondering about these 'gold-backed' coins, I never give a damn about it coz I never believe they really have gold to back their coins, I mean if there is then it is a stable coin which is futile to invest into. True, you could have just bought a gold and keep it to yourself, you don't need intermediaries when having gold it is better to have it on your hands. If you want gold in digital form, bitcoin is winking at you right now lol
1418  Economy / Economics / Re: world war 3 is coming ...do to coronavirus / economy ... on: August 28, 2020, 08:59:40 PM
war does not always use conventional weapons.
even now the war has started.
biological warfare.
I doubt what is happening right now is a biological warfare. It's been quite long time when we suspected that the pandemic virus is man made and were created in China to incapacitate most of the countries in the world for them to take a huge step above all. Biological warfare is the most scary war that could happen to humans, before nuclear war.

economic war.
I hate to see this kind of war, the most affected by these are the least ones, those whose intention is just to feed their family by working for 8 hours a day.  Cry

cyber war.
you can judge for yourself what is happening now.
This is already happening for ages, that's for sure, if you watched SNOWDEN then you'll know what's happening in the clouds.
1419  Other / Meta / Re: I'm looking for that guy in picture from old topic on bitcointalk on: August 27, 2020, 06:05:41 PM
I don't think this belongs on Meta, but I'm not sure which board would be better.
If he is looking someone, like what he said, then he should post it in a section that has the most activity coz it means more active people right? most likely in Bitcoin Discussion.

It seems like there is a person who edited the qr code hmm, it would be risky to send him now. Or you can send them both to make them happy haha

May we know why are you looking for this man?
1420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam victims on: August 27, 2020, 05:23:17 PM
Do you know of any resources to help victims of crypto scams recover their losses?

I was a victim of one made by coinkast.io where they had me pay more money to release my funds and then they kept adding additional fees... so basically I lost $100k+ and I need to recover it someone especially since much of that were loans I took out.

Any help or links to agencies that can help would be appreciated...

Thank you in advance

That really feels bad. Losing Cryptocurrency due to some scam and carelessness is some of the worst experience that can be experienced by users of the forum. Its also hard to report these kinds of issues since what we are chasing are people that are over the Internet and that can be hard since people can be around the World and not just the same country we are in.
This is the drawbacks of being  pseudonymous, you get in a pseudonymous network get scammed by pseudonymous people. Self-teaching is the best counter move for this one, if you know what you are doing then you are less likely to be scammed. If you know who you are dealing with like reputable escrow service provider then you are less likely to be scammed. At the end of the day your security lies in you, to yourself, not with exchanges, not with your passwords or every thing, it is no your decision making.

I guess another way to look for those people is by tracking their IP addresses? Since one way or another there can be tracks left by them.
IP isn't reliable most of the time, do you think these hackers or scammers will use their IP that can be easily traced by the authorities?
The only way we can get them is when they leave a footprint or a hole where we can see them.
