1341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Former Portuguese currency" and "bitcoin" symbols on: September 24, 2020, 06:05:53 PM
If there would be a closest currency symbol to bitcoin, it would be the BAHT currency of Thailand. The symbol ฿ is the closest, BTC has just 2 horizontal lines behind the letter B, and on Baht you can see the line passing through. I only know cypher as a programming language lol.
1342  Other / Meta / Re: History of local boards on: September 23, 2020, 08:53:43 PM
Could you please update OP with latest data? Especially the standing of local threads under Other Languages in 2020 would interest me.
Sure. I gonna update stats when I have time (maybe this weekend or one / two weeks later). Stay tuned !
Hope you can update the Pilipinas local board I wanna see the data of its post/merit coz it seems like only a few people posted there and opens topic recently. I think all local boards is quite inactive than the past months, might be an effect of the pandemic giving people less eagerness to know about the current state of the crypto ecosystem.

Will try to catch it here.
1343  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What actually makes a token pump? on: September 23, 2020, 08:34:13 PM
What makes a token pump is the demand, demand is based on the hype so basically we can say that demand is drive by several factors that lies in the marketing of the project. The only thing that will make the token pump is when the demand for it increases, there are key takeaways to do it. Noticeably, token pump follows the bitcoin trend, you can see a historic lift of the market when bitcoin reached its ATH last 2017, it was like a crypto party.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: September 23, 2020, 07:47:04 PM
AFAIK a camera on the glasses films your gestures and translates them into commands.
Yup, and that is why VR isn't a thing now. Any unnecessary movement will also translate into command from your background, thus this will result to any unwanted action from the game. I don't think it is a good idea for interactive gambling especially with crypto though, there is a chance they people could know their identity through it which most of people in crypto casino avoid to happen.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: September 23, 2020, 06:32:07 PM
My prediction in the western conference NBA finals after the game 3 ( 2-1 LAL lead)

Final standing will be 4-2 no matter who will win in game 4, 3-1 for LA Lakers, 3-2 for Nuggets, then it will end up 4-2 for LAL.

OR

Nuggets for 2-2, LAL for 3-2 then another win for LAL securing the NBA Finals.

Let's watch the game 1 first of the Finals before predicting again.
1346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 23, 2020, 05:59:04 PM
Lol I love the jokes about nuggets winning this game. They have Lakers exactly where they wanted, now Nuggets will lose the next game and series will be 3-1 just like Nuggets wanted and then they will win 3 in a row to eliminate Lakers as well Cheesy.
Nothing in the history of 3-1 deficit came back up but only Lebron James, I doubt they will win 3 consecutive in a row after the game 4, that's quite impossible knowing that Anthony Davis and Lebron team up is a beast. After seeing AD shooting that three in the game 2, I know Lakers will take this year.

AD looked incredibly tired, I know he played a huge game and made the game winning basket but he needs to relax a bit without any training or anything and try to get ready again, tired AD is a big minus for all of Lakers.
Well some praise AD coz he got the most score from these past games, but Lakers losing the game had Lebron exhausted too, scoring 30 pts. I just imagine things with Luka in Denver if he didn't have an injury, would it still be a 2-0 in the first place? Can AD stand a chance with Luka in defense?
1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Less Volatile Coins on: September 23, 2020, 05:13:34 PM
You're not going to lose with BTC until you sell it. The reason why people are losing in btc is because they cannot stand the price anymore, so they sell it. You can invest in less volatile coins but not with stablecoins, can't get any profit from it. I don't have much idea of less volatile coins available in the market, I think ethereum isn't one of those less volatile coins. Maybe XRP or Litecoin? or Zcash, try to research.
1348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Operation DisrupTor: Over $6.5m in cash and crypto seized by FBI on: September 23, 2020, 03:34:14 PM
over $6.5 Million in cash and crypto
At least they wont be able to put all the blame on Crypto. Is it known which Crypto was seized?
Can we assume that the crypto is bitcoin? since it is highly used in darknet to buy things, safer than the other cryptocurrencies. Or it is not bitcoin, coz if it is bitcoin they will frontpiece it to the media taking a strong negativity towards the whole crypto community. Or they didn't really know if it is crypto of digital money  Roll Eyes

Will my account and my fund will get trouble by unintentionally involve in such flow of money/ crypto from darknets?
As long as you can show that you received fund from those P2P exchanges, you should be safe. This will indeed help to nab those criminals through your FIAT trail.
Thinking of the same thought, what if someone just sold me a bitcoin third handedly? and I can't provide proof of my innocence? poor kid.
1349  Other / Meta / Re: Should we post for members of guests? on: September 22, 2020, 07:01:10 PM
I'm not sure you'd be able to encourage people to join the forum unless it was with the enticement of all the money to be made by participating in signature campaigns/bounties.
It's all about the price tag when we want some people in here. Remember cryptotalk forum when they introduced their forum through this forum? guess what they have been robbed by the spammers lol it come to the point that they banned and restricted some country IP addresses to get that pennies. I prefer having less people with great minds, than having a lot of rubbish.

Maybe we're just in a dry spell.  Maybe if and when bitcoin starts shooting up toward a new ATH more folks will start registering here and the volume and quality of discussion will pick up.  We'll see.
That could be possible, once bitcoin hits up it will bring some people here. But what I really think of is that people are just too bored to interact here in the forum. Can we have a list of inactive users since March? April? or since May?
1350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: September 22, 2020, 06:21:09 PM
But regarding traditional slots or skill games, I just believe that every game will always be good if it is accompanied by skill.
Opposite from what I believe to about slots, dice or any mini games in casino. I don't believe that these games required any skills at all to win, what you need is just a luck and good bet timing. In slots, there's nothing much that you do but to just press the button and see where it lands. In dice you just need to choose between roll over or roll below. If guessing right in consecutives is a skill then they might be. Anyways, all games are made for entertainment, so enjoy  Cheesy

1351  Economy / Economics / Re: economic loan new money and covid 19 i want fast on: September 22, 2020, 05:05:57 PM
The more money - the more inflation so-and-so. What difference does it make to me if a loaf of bread costs $5 for 2K/month income or$ 10 for 4K/month income? There is more money and prices will adjust to this money supply.
This is why taxes vary depends on the country, because the cost of everything depends on what standards they have on their country. Here in my country, we are paying a low tax, have our goods in low price but the wage is also small, just as proportion as other nations are. Money printing should be align to the reserve, country's worth in all aspect to avoid hyper inflation.

There is no difference how much money you have if everything around you in % ratio costs the same as before. And it doesn't do any good either.
Ever wonder why retired military usually resides in less civilized places? or in third world country? coz there, they are rich.
1352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc future on: September 20, 2020, 05:09:51 PM
The government can ban cryptocurrency any time want!!
Of courses they do.

Or place the high taxes over cryptocurrency users that they Don't want to use it.
But the question is how are they gonna implement this thing out? imposing tax on decentralized network is useless, what do they expect? people voluntarily give them the taxes coz they made a profit in crypto trading? this is absurd.

They have not done this for one Reason coz the people who are involved in government have interests in cryptocurrency right now.
Rather than concluding people in the government or the government itself is interested in acquiring cryptocurrencies, we can just assume that they are interested on the technology behind it which is blockchain. The death of corruption I guess.

Government can do what Ever they want That's it!
They can but it should be constitutional  Grin

1354  Other / Meta / Re: Reduced forum activity on: September 19, 2020, 09:35:51 PM
Even since the introduction of merit system we could see drastic change in the activity on bitcointalk which is probably due to account farms stopped their working. Cheesy
Account farming has been reduced lol didn't we have that user who got almost 100 accounts connected? the are crushing the bounty campaigns back then earning thousands of stacks when the project succeeded, it seems quiet now huh.

And since the lockdown people got kore lazy including me so spending time on starring the videos over doing something productive or learning something.
I feel it too, it feels like I woke up everyday just to waste another time of my life. I quite lose interest in gaming these days, which I thought would save me from being bored, then it gets boring every time I play Sad I'm not used to this
1355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your plans for the coming bull on: September 19, 2020, 06:53:37 PM
~snip~

There are some good altcoins and some good DeFi projects which are worth investing but then again we should be careful not to invest in scam projects which are only made to collect the money.
These days there is trend of DeFi projects but not all projects are good and many of them will just collect money from you and close. So first study these projects and invest in them. If you have good coins under your portfolio, you can earn good money in the next bull run.

The trend of DeFi attracts people to invest in that project, and I see that many of those projects seem similar from one to another project. So far, I don't try to use the DeFi project to invest because I still watch closer for every DeFi project, but I do not yet analyze or search for more information about the project.
DeFi projects are might be the reason why the hurdles on bitcoin is high that it can't get pass at $12K, maybe investors are choosing DeFi projets over bitcoin due to more chances of getting a profit in less than a month especially when you buy at their pre-sale, it instantly doubles as the project lands on the exchange, and then what? it disappears lol

Still, the crypto market is now unpredicted because bitcoin is at a low price without knowing when the price will increase. The altcoin is behind bitcoin, and I think even bitcoin and altcoin are still waiting for the right time to grow.
Unpredicted indeed, but we know that bitcoin is going up no matter what happens, the only uncertain thing is that we don't know when it will happen. Bitcoin has its best foot forward, altcoin is sitting on the bench, watch it runs after a moment.
1356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: coming CBDC help or hurt bitcoin? on: September 19, 2020, 05:51:26 PM
Hmmm, it is interesting how CBDCs will work towards bitcoin. I voted that it will hurt bitcoin in some ways AS A CURRENCY, as we know there are people who are using bitcoin as a currency on buying stuff online to protect their privacy. But for an investment? there's no way CBDCs can touch bitcoin, it might help people to discover bitcoin and make a way in buying bitcoin. It all depends, centralization vs decentralization, what the people want.
1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I cannot receive 400 UNI on: September 18, 2020, 05:34:04 PM
Uniswap, as the true leader of the DeFi industry, showed ideologically where the crypto world should move - it issued a drop to ordinary people retroactively.
The move that they have done is a statement where they didn't state any words but numbers. Talking about DeFi hype, it is no doubt that Uniswap is the leading exchange that you've got, people making and losing millions out of shitcoin, man this is a game of who is the smartest and fastest.

If UNI did not come to you, do not worry. Guyswhat did not come to you is not yours. In fact, you are trying to take something that does not belong to you, thereby skipping your topic. Calm down, do not try to jump on someone else's train, he will bringyou to someone else's stop, you will not like it there.
I don't use uniswap, I don't like DeFi overly hype projects, I just feel I don't need one and barely sees the future the 90% of DeFi projects leading in the next months, no substantial reason to buy the coin, they are just stealing whitepapers and ideas. Anyways, this is really unexpected I really wished I was into it, I could have bought a PS5 arrgg.  Roll Eyes
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNISWAP (UNI) is driving me CRAZY!! on: September 18, 2020, 04:59:14 PM
Wow! That's $2M you got there.

Sell it bro and enjoy your profits. It's very rare to earn from something like this. You're one of the lucky few that managed to earn that much with Uniswap while others have earned around $1200 who are already happy with that amount.
I wished I could have used uniswap before the rewarding, it is really regretful missing this legendary giveaway we might not experience this again. Many are lucky, and many are wishful that they should have connected their metamask wallet in uniswap in buying coins. Others only got roughly $1000 in UNI, then there you are getting $2m too lucky indeed.

I think you made a lot of swap in uniswap so they give you that in return. Keep up man.

But with yours, it's extraordinary! congratulations!
Extra extraordinary, just wow haha  Grin
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THE MOST PAINFUL DAY IN MY BETTING CAREER on: September 18, 2020, 04:25:32 PM
We all got a bad history in betting, I remember mine misclicking the button, bet a $50 instead of $5 and just lost. I can't count on my finger how many times I mistakenly did that, it is really embarrassing. I guess unfortunate events is part of gambling, it's not always the fortune that come to us. Imagine I'm getting upset losing $50, and there are people losing million $ and wears a smile logging out their casino account lol
