1461  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: July 31, 2020, 09:05:24 PM
Incompetent indeed but also look at the fact that we are overpopulated, Metro Manila is the most dense city in the world so don't expect that all people will be given a relief coz it is not only the Metro Manila that needs it, there are 110+ cities more and 42,000+ barangays all over the Philippines. Central Government is doing just as fine, its sectors do not including the LGUs, why don't we see a rally just outside the city hall? if the budget was released to them? why don't we question our Local government for not receiving any of the relief? The palace has all the documentation of the budget that has been released to the LGUs, ask them why there are still people who did not get their cash aids.

And those people who compares the entire Philippines to the New Zealand bruh  Undecided  NZs total population is just the same as Quezon City and Maynila's combined population, not even the whole Metro Manila. Not even Luzon, just QC and Maynila Imagine how dense the population in Manila.

Having a huge debt has its own side, bad for us coz we need to pay it but good for Philippines reputation coz they are trusting on our economy that we can pay them in the future.
1462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are buying when the price is going up and not when it is down on: July 31, 2020, 07:39:56 PM
They don't read charts, they ride the movement. As simple as that, this is why probably newbies are losing their money when they are buying coins they don't follow the fundamentals such as reading and analyzing the chart before investing, instead they wait for a green time which results to more devastating loss. They aren't sure at first when to buy, so they are just waiting but this action of them don't always end in a loss, some are making enough and do just enough time to exit the market, they are called FOMOs. This never happens with bitcoin, there are people who will buy bitcoin no matter the price is.
1463  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Exchange for day trade? on: July 31, 2020, 06:44:08 PM
Actually most of the trusted exchange out there doesn't have any big differences in terms of fees. I do not mind the fees because most of the exchange have trading fee lower then 1% and it is a good thing. I mind my strategies than the exchange that I'm using, Binance is one of the best exchange because they are offering futures where there is leverage. I also lke exchanges that have automatic cut loss and buy on breakout features.
For almost people says, they are prefer to use Binance compared to other exchange.
Binance gain too much trust from the traders and also their service are great that anyone traders who like them becauase they are just trusted enough.
This is because binance is outperforming their competitors, and speaking of trust why you would not trust the world's leading crypto exchange? there is no question for that with binance, having a market cap of $1.4 billion last 2018 given the fact they it is found in 2017, imagine a year of getting that huge. They have even bought the Coinmarketcap the number one crypto data tracker, though they were accuse of controlling the info but that's another topic. There is just no reason for every trader not to use the Binance, can't think of a single reason  Huh

Just asking my self why those decentralized exchanges didn't get interested to people. When it comes security they are reliable enough but not on liquidity.
You already said it, if you want to make day trading profitable you should choose an exchange whose liquidity is high unless you wanna make cents.
1464  Economy / Economics / Re: Government+cryptocurrencies on: July 31, 2020, 05:51:49 PM
If government will accept cryptocurrency and give freedom to the people to use it ,i think  many people will buy and invest in bitcoi. Also it be a temporarry solution in our current siruation now.
But, government are worried that legalizing bitcoins might also bring an increased number of hacks and scams in the market as right now hackers struggle to find a payment method that is untraceable and easily to accept from their victims. Bitcoins being decentralized are just too easy to use for hackers and once legalize they will be more easily available to everyone and hackers can just grow easily.
Implications with cryptocurrencies is badly viewed by the government we can easily say this because if they don't they could have done it a few years ago. Scams are inevitable especially in a decentralized market, people can move without being traced and so their identities would not be publicly show unlike doing it with fiat that is highly governed and regulated. Let's just face it, crypto scam is part of its nature, what can we do about it is to spread awareness and guide for knowing everything around the circle of crypto.

I do believe than if bitcoins payments are adopted it will help in the current situation but the government have made their own apps and there are payment processors like paypal which gives the government full control over their citizens because of the centralized paypal system and also makes it easy to pay virtually since payments in cash is becoming an issue now a days.
As far as I know paypal is touching the bitcoins, they are trying to have it on their platform this is an innovation that the government should not be afraid to fight of, they got the power of the state.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction was faster than a Bank transfer today (for me) on: July 31, 2020, 05:07:28 PM
As for my experience with bank transfer, I do it online and it only takes a minute or two to confirm especially if I do it with my e-wallet bank transfers will just take a few seconds to get into the account, I use bank transfer when transacting with other person for my product purchases and have nothing complaint about it. But for overseas, other country's bank will take at least 12 to 24 hours to get into your local bank as it requires more confirmation than having it local to local bank. This is where using crypto is convenient if you are in a hurry, for bitcoin it usually takes an hour or two to get and almost instant for other cryptocurrency like ethereum and xrp, but the transaction fee depends on the network congestion. There's an advantage for using both, so you need to weigh which is which in every situation.
1466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise of Bitcoin on: July 31, 2020, 04:32:04 PM
How about we stop looking for reasons every time , when we know for sure that we can’t come up with any reason that might have led to the increase, all we end up doing is just to speculate about it which is not right. Let’s just assume that there was more demand and that led to the increase.
If we stop speculating for things with crypto price will be as stable as dollar. The reason why bitcoin has a price is because of speculation if there's none at all price will not move, just so happen these past few days that speculation was highly favorable on its own making a huge move in terms of the price. " let's just assume that there was more demand that led to the increase " , bro that's the same as speculation  Smiley

I was already expecting this increase to happen. Before now the price was at $7k and it took time before it crossed the resistance level and moved to $9k and the same started happening again, the bulls were able to keep it stable the same way they did before now. And after a long time it has finally moved to this $11k. This might trigger a FOMO if the price keeps going like this.
We all expect things to happen with bitcoin, we always anticipate the price to increase however none of us know when it will be happening just like what happened last week, the price surges and most of us think that it will be just a short term but it's not, price continue to rise and there again speculation for where it is going after it is high. Just see where the price will be at last before climbing down.
1467  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lockdown restrictions increased to reduce the spread of immunity. on: July 31, 2020, 09:59:15 AM
It all seems like a government panic as people are starting to realise that covid-19 is not the problem that they pretended it was/is.

But at first, people are really scared and anxious about the virus.

People are getting confident that this Covid-19 virus is not that deadly. That's the reason why some people are really thinking that this virus is nothing compared to other deadly viruses. Governments are really having a hard time to make decisions that will really beneficial for the sake of all.

Particularly about covid 19 the mortality rate is very low and people died for other reasons as well after infected with virus but still most of the government report it as covid 19 death. Here in my place few people got infected but they found that they are completely okay now in only one week of time so this is not a deadly virus to lock the whole world inside their house.

Covid-19 virus only worsen the sickness or diseases that you have, it can make you have complications in any part of your organs that's why it is deadly.

But this virus is just like influenza, you can recover from it if you are healthy and you don't have any diseases before. Once you don't have any problem with your body and your immune system is working properly, then there's no need to worry, but you should also consider that medications are not that cheap once you are infected with the virus.
1468  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid will take your money on: July 31, 2020, 09:15:54 AM
People don't even use cash anymore. This isn't the 80's. Everyone's switched to credit cards so if the government had any excuse to get rid of cash, they could've used it ages ago citing it's obsolescence.

Not all people can afford to use that kind of payment method with the use of cards because not all people are given a chance to engage with that technology. Here in our country, there are still people who are willing to use cash than using a digital money. In a specific country, it doesn't really develop as a whole because there are still some rural places who are left behind.

the progress of online purchasing which is now flourishing in this pandemic. so an update is needed, it seems that the use of electronic money connected directly to mobile phones is starting to bloom. transactions are easier to do, finish buying just scan the barcode. so the possibility of using cards and cash will start to decrease.

Online businesses will really become popular if this happens.

Once that people are using only digital money, they will not hesitate to buy anything that they want or anything that they see in online shops.

It is really easy to make transactions using your phones because you don't need to go outside and it is less hassle for everyone.
1469  Economy / Economics / Re: Doing an essay on Bitcoin, need ideas on: July 31, 2020, 08:44:05 AM
Bitcoin is not at all a narrow topic lol. There are many points you can cover such as:
Decentralization.
Inflation rate.
How it led to creation of altcoins.
Working process of bitcoin and about its ledger system.

That major points was already discussed by other users here maybe we should suggest another unique features and topics about bitcoin.

Altcoins: As bitcoin is the most widely used cryptocurrency, these altcoins are really an alternative source of profit in them market if bitcoin doesn't have any movement in its price.

But still always prioritize your bitcoin as it really matters the most compared to other coins.

6. Conclude with how it can be a very useful tool for the current and coming generation and how it can totally change the way of economic.
I like this idea. This is so true, on time, and of course futuristic. Make this as a highlight at the end part of your essay. Most of us now depends on online now and for sure they will like this new idea if they would read this kind of thing. But of course, you have to include that bitcoin is risky. It is not just simple as they may think it is.

In the introduction of your essay, you should tell them that bitcoin is risky so that they will not be worried at the ending of your essay. Tell them the advantages and disadvantage of bitcoin in the present and especially in the future so that they can make plans and they will have foresight to become prepared about the future of bitcoin.
1470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: African bitcoin ATMs on: July 31, 2020, 08:10:18 AM
I'm having a trouble finding a bitcoin Atm here in our country and I'm not sure if there's one existing here.

Hoping that someone or some businesses will place a license bitcoin ATMS in some malls here so that people who want to use it will not have a hard time to withdraw. Just like the bitcoin adoption in Africa, most of its region have a bitcoin ATM, which is really I envy the most. We are also a developing country but this kind of adoption is not yet in our country.
1471  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quality War ( Europe vs China and India ) on: July 30, 2020, 08:18:42 PM
It has been mentioned, but I'll put it out there again. A lot comes down to price point.
China can and does produce some high quality items.
But, as the quality increases so does the price. You need better materials to start with, better machinery to build it, better trained / more skilled workers. Etc.
The problem is that China is dominant over this stuff, that if they messed up and so does everything will be messed up too. I've seen some videos from China, and seeing their factories amazes me it is huge and full of workers, and found a separate video of chinese workers doing their job like no one else can. Can we based this on nationality? - NO, but rather on how strict you are to your employee the more open you are to them they will take the job for granted. Make money hard to earn.

So if you want the cheap version $5.00 item for $1.00 then yes China can do that for you. If you want the better made higher quality $5.00 for $5.00 they can do that for you too. Same as anyplace else.
And then they will kick your ass anyway because between China / India / the entire Asian area they have much higher population then Europe / North America / etc.
The quality of living matters here, $1 is just like $3 for the americans, they are paid for more than $50 per day for a day of work unlike in asian country that could only costs $12 minimum.
1472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why People Call Bitcoin Blockchain? on: July 30, 2020, 06:12:51 PM
What made blockchain popular is its ability to store immutable data which can be used to fight any data altering events, most effective in making transaction and logging. Many says that crypto is the future, it will replace fiat in the long run and whatnot but it ain't, blockchain can be apply many field not just the finance, anything that stores data actually. It is bitcoin who gained a lot of controversies not the blockchain, and from the very beginning many people already called out the technology behind bitcoin, not surprising that it is clicking by now.
1473  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Most schools plan to partially reopen in the fall, what will happen next? on: July 30, 2020, 04:25:11 PM
This reopening of universities will only beneficial for those owner of those schools.

While college students are studying in this new set of rules and regulations, they are also risking their lives for their future which is not good for their health.

Hopefully, as soon as possible, as soon as people have a budget for studies, we should rely on the online classes for the mean time. If there's still no vaccine that is being invented, it is still not safe to reopen the face to face classes.

College students are stubborn when it comes to setting some parties or gathering. It is because they want to communicate and hang out with their friends and classmates, and that's the reality of college life that we should also consider. No matter what rules and regulations you are going to implement in this reopening of class, they will still make a way to violate the rules after class.
1474  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The state of Covid19 (All that is to know) on: July 30, 2020, 03:35:40 PM
Covid-19 is not that lethal if the government is focused on the medical sector in their community.

It really needs full medical attention so that we can lessen those deaths and the severity of this virus.

There are a lot of people who are surviving and getting healed from pneumonia before even if this Covid-19 has not yet existed. Covid-19 is just a pneumonia, but the real deal here is that, it can cause complications when someone is already having a disease or have a weak immunity due to high blood, diabetes, and other medical conditions which this virus can worsen and make people die.

Covid 19 history beginning can be found?  Isn't it in China, what are researchers saying, well can't question the article, I what u have ought to know and have really understood is that, there are hidden stories behind this virus but Government controls the media, I am just hoping that the pandemic would come to an end in future lets get back to normal without fear of being affected.
Maybe, there is really something more behind the origin of this virus, but what can we do if big community or businesses are manipulating the media and hide something from us?  Huh

However, I believe that all of us will surpass this pandemic, and this happening will become a new historical events in human history.
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise of Bitcoin on: July 30, 2020, 02:58:43 PM
I don't think that we would be seeing the same pattern that happened in 2018 I don't think that we would be really go high again for this year.
I think our highest price could be around $14-15K or less I don't really expect it to go higher than that because of this pandemic most of the people are still struggling to survive.

It doesn't mean when the bitcoin's price pumped in late 2017 in almost $20k, it will also happen again this time.

I'm not being pessimistic about the bitcoin's price but I'm just thinking about the possibilities that might happen and stuck us.

We should think about the reality to lessen disappointment and dismay towards the price of bitcoin. We just need to accept the fact that bitcoin is volatile and we have nothing to do with that but to manipulate it properly.
Let's still hope for more pump and let's predict its price. For me, it will just stay between $12k to 14k, and that's only based on what I'm seeing in the market.
1476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Firms Collaborate With Chinese Central Bank to Launch Digital Yuan on: July 29, 2020, 08:59:20 PM
Well, it's a good news actually.  We just want to hope it becomes reality because numerous similar news like this we have read and heard and at the end of the day, it remains at the level of the news.
Not really though, it was planned to destroy the decentralization we got from crypto currencies and most governments doesn't want us to get financial freedom and not interested in tracking the blockchains created from anonymous persons that is why governments creating their own CBDCs which may affect the banks as well.
Decentralization is convenient for the users but is it convenient for the government? The answer is no because the whole payment system and economy of the country cannot be relied upon a decentralized platform. Tracing of illegal activities, scams, frauds and black money would be impossible if that is put into action.
This isn't the question at all, why would a centralized one believe that the betterment of the society is through their opposite? The very question on CBDCs are the effectiveness for its people to utilize its efficiency, if not then they will probably shut it down and continue living with the fiat money, but as I see the development of CBDCs and Defi right now, I see the potential of the use in future situation especially now that we already had a pandemic, this might be a good course for every one.

People will deny to pay the taxes and the country will begin to collapse in various ways. Government is interested in the blockchain technology and not decentralization. Therefore, they are creating their own centralized digital currencies powered by blockchain to meet the required expectations and get a step closer to digitalization.
Digitalization is what we need for convenient, this is what a progressive society should have, we have been walking over the fiat for a very long time and we need a transition using our very own technologies.
1477  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash Is Trash on: July 29, 2020, 08:07:58 PM
Cash is trash but on the other point we use cash to buy crypto and everything lol, does this mean that everything is trash too? fiat is the standard means of trading, if you will say that it is a trash then you better be using gold and other metals to transact. You are blinded with the very idea of crypto and digitilization without knowing that these two won't work without cash, actually everything won't be valued without cash. How much cash do you have right now?

Don't ask for stimulus if you don't need it, it's a trash!
1478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger has been hacked !!! on: July 29, 2020, 07:07:11 PM
Did you even think before posting Huh
I could ask you the same question.
You guys are being harsh to each other, you can talk to each other without this nonsense trash talking.

UTTERLY DUMB SUGGESTION ...  If you were to lock every duplicate thread here, ALL the threads would be locked, and no one would ever be able to post anything, because some thread in the past had the same content.
It is natural that in a forum there is repeated content as the same questions surface on the mind of its members over and over again, but I suggested closing this thread as it was created in the same subforum with only one hour of difference, it makes no sense to have two different threads to talk about the same thing when we could use only one.
I saw the first one, but the poster of that merely summarizes what the link indicates, he didn't even say anything from his own words, so you better be weighing the content although they have the same topic. Besides if you push this idea of yours, locking threads coz they are duplicate then you should be reviewing all of the threads in here in the forum and suggests to lock it. The time interval of the post was just an hour, the OP could have been excited on sharing this, aside he got his own opinion in there, he even asked for others insight about this.

Now going back to the main topic, as for what I've read only emails is breached including what those emails have like phone numbers etc. If a user used his main email for ordering a ledger he better be dropping those for safety purposes and security. I don't think people who have ledger should be worry about this one since the hackers were not able to touch their funds, fail attempt perhaps from the hackers.
1479  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money and beat up inflation rate? Options please! on: July 29, 2020, 05:25:59 PM
Investments can beat inflation rate if you’re living on a place with a lower rate of inflation, but if there’s a hyperinflation then only the government can solve that problem. The government is working hard to keep the inflation rate lower, and make the rise slower. Saving is not enough especially on a banks, look for alternatives and learn how to invest money.

But we should not be dependent to our government when inflation occurs. So as much as possible, we need to invest in some businesses and cryptocurrency, although it is very risky, we need to accept our fate and and the reality towards the result of our investments. Proper manipulation requires patience and control so the the direction of your investment is towards success.

they know that the products will become expensive during the day of that occasion so what they do is they buy early to save up as much as they can  .  there are indications on when to tell inflations will occur. all we need is to watch the news closely  .

Sometimes, news is not enough to know when inflation will occur. We should know how to observe and deal with the market so that we have an idea when to buy our necessities as soon as we possible.

We should not wait for the news because once people watched those reports, demand will suddenly increase and you will be left behind.

Good move! Buying goods off their season is cheaper due to the low demand. You can actually get big savings with the same quality of product. However, this is not always applicable for perishable goods tho.

Some goods are not in demand when inflation occurs, some will stay in its price and some will have changes in price.
1480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are back with another trick. Be alert!!! on: July 29, 2020, 04:52:12 PM
This kind of trick should be exposed and a great job for OP so that there wouldn't be more victim of this scam trick that they are now using.
People who are new would surely fall easily to this kinds of schemes that is why we need to do our best to save them and to make sure that this scammers wouldn't get anything.

This trick was already exposed and you can read them in some threads here about Bitcoin scams and any form of scams.

This scam is not new to us as this fake giveaways are the best and easiest way for them to lure their victims, between beginners and newbies. Hopefully, these scams will be reported immediately as much as possible so that no more people will become victimized by their strategy and minimize those people who will fall for their bait.

Those "giveaways" that they are putting in their title is an obvious warning for you not to trust them.
