Apparently they had a database backup from 2014. While all balance data was useless, there may have been some evidence to help incriminate Paul. It did however have an email list, so they emailed everyone so that they knew they could make a claim.

Unless I'm mistaken, I'm the first one to mention HashMax: https://digitalx.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/1415536.pdfThe consolidated entity has contributed $623,476, with $44,631 remaining, to satisfy its commitment to HashMax Inc, and purchased the Bitcoin mining equipment committed to during the half-year (refer note 11). As a result of this and other transactions in the normal course of business as at 27 February 2015 the consolidated entity holds bitcoin inventory of $2.3 million valued at the bitcoin price on 27 February 2015 and has $1.7 million of cash and cash equivalents. I thought I read that Paul Vernon didn't receive any moneys from that dude.

So I just got the email too. My situation is a bit easier than that of yours because I can clearly remember only having fixed amount of fiat currency. The deposit to Cryptsy was from another market in 2m Dogecoins. However, all evidence I have is emails, and those are only for withdrawing and not depositing. I also have emails from Cryptsy support team apologizing for delays and my ticket submissions for not being able to withdraw. Does that sound like a good enough evidence to you? Also, as I want to submit it electronically as I am from the UK, there is this specific part stating this: NOTICE REGARDING ELECTRONIC FILES: Certain claimants with large numbers of transactions may request, or may be requested, to submit information regarding their transactions in electronic files. All claimants MUST submit a manually signed paper Proof of Claim and Release form whether or not they also submit electronic copies. If you wish to file your claim electronically, you must contact the Claims Administrator at 1-888-868-4936 to obtain the required file layout. No electronic files will be considered to have been properly submitted unless the Claims Administrator issues to the claimant a written acknowledgment of receipt and acceptance of electronically submitted data. Does this mean I have to phone them, acquire the permission and send them Proof of Claim and Release form physically? Then what's the point of the online claim form in the first place, lol.

Where did you find that out? The only information I could find was in the receiver's fourth report, and the Court authorized notice regarding Proposed Partial Settlements. The receiver's fourth report says Big Vern destroyed the database and backup database on the servers on April 4, 2016, and the court notice says he destroyed all of Cryptsy database records. Neither of them mention earlier backups. http://cryptsyreceivership.com/v1/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Fourth-Report.pdfVernon apparently destroyed the database and backup database on the servers on April 4, 2016, the date of the Appointment Order and shortly after receiving notice of same. The database contained critical information regarding account holders’ identification and current and prior balances of coins, as well as where coins had been improperly transferred pre-receivership; http://cryptsyreceivership.com/v1/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Notice.pdfPlease note that it appears that Defendant Vernon or someone under his direction destroyed all of Cryptsy database records

They may have found it on something from the storage lockers, but Im not sure on where they found it. They did for sure find backup from 2014 though, and they emailed everyone so they could know to make a claim.

Did you make your accounts in late 2014, or early 2014? The receiver might only have an early 2014 backup.

Thanks, that timing sounds about right b/c I pulled every coin out when they received their PayCoin "Prime Controller," from Homero Josh Garza, which was basically a hyper-staking key that prevented honest PayCoin "Muggles" from ever getting ROI. That was May, 2014, I think! I lost nothing; I was just wondering why I didn't get an email......

Getting More Information The website www.cryptsysettlement.com provides more information about the lawsuit and the settlements. In addition, if you have any questions about the lawsuit or this Notice, you may: I tried to fill the online from "PART A: IDENTIFICATION CLAIMANT", but does not work! " reCAPTCHA" does not work!
