That match between Rublev and Medvedev is being touted by some as being a classic!
Seriously high tennis from both players especially Rublev who seemed to play at a higher level
than his normal. It looked like mentally he was in a different place. I had a straight ML
bet on Medvedev to win that one.

Djokovic was very business like yesterday and got the job done against Tsitsipas.....again.

Two good line ups today, Nadal v Felix AA, I would give Felix a chance here, he is favourite,
my bet is on at 1.6

and Ruud v Fritz, hard to pick a winner with this one IMO, Fritz is favourite but I took Ruud
at + 1.5

this will be a very interesting game

the bookmakers are giving Novak an advantage and I will bet on Novak, I will put him in my parlay, I believe he will have some difficulties in the game, but it will be something he will overcome

this will not be an easy game for medvedev, although the odds are in his favor the game will be something much more complicated for him, but i bet on medvedev to win the game

Fritz, FAA and Ruud all had impressive performances this year.
The match between Felix vs Nadal will be very troublesome for Nadal, this can be seen in his several appearances against young players.

After starting his career with a 4-0 run against Rublev, Medvedev now has 3 consecutive losses against him.
2 of these came in a 3rd set tie-break, which does show that Rublev is currently mentally more stable.

Đoković found it easy against Tsitsipas once again, he has a streak of 10 consecutive wins against him.

It will be interesting to watch today's Nadal - FAA match, both players need a win to stay alive in the competition.

Good news for Djokovic, the change in government has been in his favor, plus the Australians who were angry with him about visiting their country unvaccinated have moved on. That ban cost him a record, he would have had a chance to win the Australian open for the 10th time, but that was cut short. He will have a shot next year, and I am pretty sure that he will be ready to take his opportunity.

Didn't expect much from Nadal in this tournament and we are lucky we are getting such good odds on bets against him. All the guys in his group have the shot power to push trough Nadal defense and I am thinking he will leave this tournament with all three loses.

Ruud took first set against Fritz easier than I expected, my bet on this one is over 23.5 games so I need Fritz to take second set. He looks better in second set so hopefully that will be enough.

I don't think that's the reason (didn't read or hear about those comments) but rather Rublev's impressive performance beating Medvedev in his previous match, it's not like how often Djokovic has met Tsitsipas in years or also with Medvedev but with Rublev they only met once this year and won by Rublev and earlier in last year's ATP Finals with Djokovic winning, this could be a long match for them and betting on the over looks good.

Nadal must also have hoped that Ruud would lose. But already after the first set Nadal could say goodbye to the semi-finals. Additional to that it was then clear that Alcaraz would definitely remain number one this year. But Nadal woul not have deserved it either. For long periods of the match against Auger-Aliassime he was simply worse and deserved to lose.
Sets 2 and 3 between Ruud and Fritz were exciting. Fritz really did a lot and gave Ruud some difficulties.

Agree that Rublev should be good against Djoković but I wanted a safer bet for higher stake. Looked at handicaps but couldn't find +5.5 that pays decent so ended up playing Rublev to win at least one set @1.9.

Hopefully he will storm Djoković in the beginning and get on scoreboard before breaking apart.

Can't get decent odds either, I was looking at a simple bet on whether there will be a tie break,
around 1.8 for YES but it's too hard to call that one so I will hold fire altogether.

I think Djokovic will win, he will be super psyched about his news from yesterday regarding AO,
so I might do an in play bet if Rublev takes the lead...

I absolutely agree with you. Nadal has not been playing well at all. And certainly, he is not going to be very confident about his next match as well. Especially after knowing how well his opponent is performing. And I think him not being able to play physically. Well, he’s also because of his age.

Rublev versus Djokovic match is currently going on. Novak Djokovic has taken the first set and looking much more comfortable compared to his opponent.

Rudd certainly faced a lot of difficulties from Fritz. In the first set, it felt like Rudd is about to run away with things. Fritz, on the other hand, came back and got him some Herbalife. But in the end, even though he gave some real difficulty to Rudd he still was not able to bring victory for himself.

And Nadal did not play well. So, I think you made a valid point that he did not deserve to reach the next stage of the competition. Maybe his age is finally affecting his performance, I don't know. But this performance from him certainly did not feel like the Rafael Nadal we all know.

He had some problems with his health this year and could not play some tournaments. But he is already 36 and he has noticed himself that the young players have it easier to play.

Self confidence is really big part of Nadal's game and he is nowhere near his best when there is even a little doubt in his mind. That is why he has such good record on Grand Slams, they are played BO5 which gives Nadal time to turn the matches around and they start against opponents that are well below his level. Then after Nadal gets a couple of easy wins he raises his game in each consecutive round and becomes that unbeatable beast that runs his opponents into the ground.
