It will actually be a little surprising for me if Tsitsipas loses this match. Even though both of them are not very good on grass, I think Stefanos Tsitsipas is a little less worse when compared to Hanfmann.

Tsitsipas still showed his discomfort when playing in the grass, the first set lost to Yannick only in the second set he tried to improve so that he could take the set to make the match continue through the decisive set, and in the deciding set Yannick appeared better to defeat his opponent. Losing at the beginning of the tournament could be an opportunity for Tsitsipas to rest to be fitter in Wimbledon but with these results, of course, Tsitsipas as a seeded player but doubtful who will appear impressive in Wimbledon later, maybe in only one or two rounds he will advance but more than that of course he will face a stronger opponent so it will be difficult for Tsitsipas to win.

Yannick Hanfmann seems to be having one of those particularly good days today. Tsitsipas has not yet found his way into the match. If the two continue to play like this, Tsitsipas will lose this match and Hanfmann will reach the next round. The first break goes to Hanfmann.

By the way: Hanf is hemp in English and mann is man. Hempman or Cannabisman  Cheesy

The match is over, and to my surprise, the match was lost by Stefanos Tsitsipas. It was a three-set match and honestly, I have to say the match was dominated by Hanfmann when we look at the first and the third set. Stefanos Tsitsipas played well in the second set. I thought in the third set it was going to be competitive. But Hanfmann took the win quite easily in the end. It was actually a little surprising result for me.

This was an important victory for Hanfmann. When you win against the winner from last year in round 2 it gives you a lot of confidence. Now he will play against Lopez from Spain in the quarter-final. He is ranked 634 in the ATP list and won against the Australian Thompsen (ATP 71). I have not seen any odds yet for the quarter-final. But I think Hanfmann is the favourite in this match.

I have seen Alcaraz playing a few sets and I was of the impression that he seriously wanted to test his limits in order to develop an idea of what's possible in Wimbledon and he did well. He gained confidence with this tournament win and still he knows that he hasn't yet faced the biggest challenge possible on grass, namely Djokovic.
Alcaraz has improved mentally and the next time he will face Djokovic, he will be a different player from the last time they played. Winning a trophy will greatly boost his confidence in his self and his strengths. Alcaraz is so young and already number one, that will make him one of the top players who will be predicted and expected to win the competition. A win in the Wimbledon will big for him and the career he hopes to get.

Following Russian teen prodigy Mirra Andreeva in her quest for the Wimbledon title (yeah why not?  Cool)

So far the 16 year old has demolished the Spaniard Rosa Vicens Mas 6:3, 6:1 and then annihilated Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet 6:1,6:2. Tomorrow she's going to meet Tamara Korpatsch and I think I know the outcome.  Grin I can't wait to see this new tennis starlet play main draw tournament at Wimbledon.

odds at @1.10 :O
I should be honest, I have read some enthusiastic news about her tennis but never seen a match live or just a full match. She deserve a bet even with such low odds?

I don't know if bets are accepted, but on Friday there is an interesting friendly match between Alcaraz vs Thiem.

Well, the grass surface does not seem to be the crown for Alcaraz, and therefore I am not so sure of the successful outcome of the match for the Spanish tennis player in the event of his meeting with Djokovic, who is still considered a much greater specialist in grass and adapts best to the peculiarities of these Wimbledon courts. I was much more confident earlier that Alcaraz would beat Djokovic at Roland Garros, but you can see for yourself what happened. However, I will not be surprised at all by the success of Alcaraz, because he already exists and will remain the top future of tennis, unless injuries torment.

Alcaraz's success by becoming a champion for the first time on grass might be very different at Wimbledon, and/or when he has to face the current reigning Wimbledon champion Djokovic, but at least it will increase Alcaraz's confidence that he is not as bad as he thinks when playing on grass, and these results may affect the odds in the match later, and for Djokovic, he will remain confident on the surpass which is also his favorite, anyone who wants to disrupt the Serb's target of collecting 24 Grand Slam titles in the future will have to fight him with the highest level of play because we remember last year that Sinner was so sure that Sinner could beat him when he was already two sets ahead but in the next three sets there was almost no chance for Sinner to drop Djokovic, as well as in the final Kyrgios only managed to take one set and set fourth, Djokovic was still able to finish even though he went through a tie break so he became the champion.

If it is true what Alcaraz said about the French Open, he was suffering from cramps from the third set till the end. If it is true, then it is not about becoming a different player, but about strengthening endurance unless those cramps were the result of panic and mental exhaustion at that moment. Cramps would be bad because that could become a recurring issue when he starts thinking about it again in a close match with Djokovic. A physical problem could then turn into a recurring mental problem. I hope that's not gonna happen as Alcaraz is the one player who could deliver the fights against Djokovic that we are all hoping for and that we were used to when Federer and Nadal competed with him.

@mv1986 I don’t think that he’ll be focusing on his cramps because it may or may not happen but if these two meet in Wimbledon then it’ll be one of most entertaining match of the year because these two have shown that they’ll stop at nothing until they have won the match. Furthermore Djokovic will have a psychological advantage due to his past achievements but Alcaraz is young and he can try and tire out Djokovic and then try and capitalise on his errors.

If Alcaraz meets Djokovic the defending champion again, he should hope to be fit, in good shape and try to steadily progress through the sets and improve just as Djokovic does when he pays. Many tennis players are trying to get fit on time for the Wimbledon and there will be other players who can pull up a surprise brilliant performance, Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune and Frances Tiafoe are in this category.

I didn't mean that Alcaraz will intentionally focus on his cramps. But when you suffered from an injury in the past, one risk is that you are too busy thinking about the injury to come back or developing some kind of anxiety disorder. This could be a huge mental burden on that level. The question "what if...". Imagine it would be again 1-1 between the two and Alcaraz had to fight like crazy to equalize the match, could it be that he starts thinking about what happened in Roland Garros? I hope that won't happen and Alcaraz can go the full distance with full power. That would give us all the match we want to see. But Djokovic knows all the tactics and how to also trigger mental weaknesses.

I still dont understand how Alcaraz got injured against Djokovic. It didnt look like they ran so much that he gets injured like that. But on grass i think Alcaraz dosent stand a chance against Djokovic. They can only meet in the final and i think Alcaraz wont even make it to the final to try and play against Djokovic. This tournament should be a walk in the park for Novak

Mostly when a big win happens like this for lower ranked players they lose a match in the next two rounds. He will be playing against Lopez that is really old but has too much experience on grass and his serve is really good so i think he might win this match against Hanfmann.

Well he has moved through the quarter final by beating Lopez and is now facing
Mannarino the 4th seed in the semi final.

Going back to his win against Tsitsipas, that was massive. Tsitsipas was by far the highest
ranked player there. It also asks questions of Tsitsipas, where is he going? personally
I think he needs a new coaching team, he needs to ditch the family input big time.

Back to the semi finals in Mallorca, Eubanks v Harris could be a close one, similarly
talented players there and the only seeded player left is Mannarino, I think they are
all of similar talent really, anything can happen.

The two names you mentioned are unlikely to be able to do much at Wimbledon even though they are fit, you should ignore Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas in betting on the Grand Slam, they are not typical players who will look good on grass. Tsitsipas is trying to do better at Wimbledon later by playing in tournaments that are quite low atp 250 but he immediately lost in the early rounds even more at Wimbledon with own uniqueness, Casper Ruud is only a clay player that's why you have seen him in two French Open finals but have not been able to lift the trophy.
As for the others Medvedev and Tiafoe have not shown anything great so far at Wimbledon, I don't know about Jannick Sinner if this player is fit from the injury he got in the Halle Open tournament,  I think he will be able to go quite far, but it is not impossible there are surprises.

Didnt espect such an easy win by Hanfmann but i guess Lopez is just too old. Lopez also with this loss finished his long career to bad he didnt win this tournament. Also Hanfmann will go against Mannarino that really good lately. I picked Mannarino to win so hopefully he wins it easily so that i dont have to stress a lot.

Well, the run of Hanfmann was stopped in the semifinals by Mannarino. Lopez definitely seemed to be an easy opponent for Hanfmann. As we saw that the match didn’t even go to the third set. But in the semifinals, Mannarino did not let this match go to the third set as well as he was able to close this match in the first two sets.

But I have to say in the semifinals. The first set was very competitive. After the first set, I thought this match was going to be really close. But Mannarino was able to make sure that he gets the win in the second set as well.

Like i said Mannarino has experience and crowned my bet with a win so pretty happy with the results. Always when low ranked players beat top players they lose in next two rounds its like not written rule . Mannarino might even win this tournament because not many good players are here because all of them are preparing for Wimbledon

For now the higher chance of winning is with Mannarino. Taking into account the performance in the previous tournaments Mannarino have got better results than Eubanks. Lets see whats gonna happen in the final. Eubanks have fough hard to reach the finals as the semifinals and quarter finals were really tough fighting matches. He'll push himself hard to win the title.
