60minutes and 60seconds : not sure why :
Because the Babylonians counted in base 60. No joke. They were there first in astronomy, and they divided the heavens with units denominated in base-60. For them, this *WAS* the metric system. base60 is where it is at ... prime divisors 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,12,15,20,30, and it is three sets of total human digits.

Yep. Far right, Chef R. -- no contest! The panic in the speculation sub-forum right now is indicative of a huge imminent run-up. I have lurked here since the end of 2010 and that seems to be the pattern IMHO.
It could go down to 270 or even 240$ before it moves up to much higher.

You could be right. Could drop even lower. I watched bitcoin rise to $1 (when I was getting more than 10 a day mining with video cards), drop from $30, rise to a bunch more, drop, rise to over $1200 then oscillate to where it is now. Was fun to give a dozen coins to family and friends when they were worth $100 and see them ask if I wanted some back when they rose to $1200. I think it will rise again. I will HODL.

When one looks at the price only going from $1200 to $320 they think..."wow what a fail". But then another person looks at where bitcoin originated and says "wow bitcoin went from $0 to $320? damn that's crazy and awesome!" Two different context/perspectives that sometimes users here and media like to use to make their point, whatever that may be.

I came (back) in at $30, so everything over that seems like a bonus. Though I went for mining equipment rather than coin (Doh!) I say back, because I had heard of bitcoin a couple of years earlier, when it first got to be worth anything and was cents. Back then I wanted to get $100 worth, but it seemed kind of unpossible to get hold of back then, unless you were near anyone or had been hanging around months to have enough trust that anyone would sell you for paypal or something.

You guys realize that the current wealthy elite sacrifice your children in bizarre religious ceremonies that involve sexual defamation and torture as a show of dominance right?

Inspiring story. It may take a few years to get to 5000$ and higher but we could reach a markep cap in tens of billions as soon as 2015.

Remember there was a time, not long ago, in which Bitcoin did not exist.
A creative and direct affront to the monetary establishment was created from scratch by an anonymous hacker. Now here we are six years later with a multi-billion dollar market cap, almost all generated by grass-roots energy and enthusiasm.
People intuitively feel that Bitcoin is different. Notwithstanding its faults, Bitcoin does not feel contrived.
Bitcoin was not borne of a corporation product testing its new line of software to generate earnings for its shareholders, or a government mandate on cybersecurity and monetary policy, or some other institution of which people are skeptical and incredulous. Bitcoin can be difficult, confusing, and trying to new users, but it doesn't feel forced or coercive.

We all knew that the British upper class are more or less gay, and that they like to play strangulation sex with boys of various ages, oranges are often mentioned in that context as well. That's kicking in open doors.

Bitcoin could be a stone helping us to get more freedom and less wars, nothing less.
