How about Karl-Anthony Towns signing a 4 year deal for 56 million per year? That’s crazy money. I’m not sure KAT is worth that much considering he’s never really won anything and he seemed jealous of their new addition Anthony Edwards, who some think to be the team’s best player. I think this contract is going to really hurt them going forward, but they must have felt it was necessary. That’s crazy money though. About 20 million per year more than he is probably worth.

That's a huge amount though he improves last season but I also agree that it was Edwards who brings more explosions.

We don't exactly know what the managements is thinking about this offer, the cap for this team will be more limited, what if Edwards
will receive a much higher offer and the team is already on their max, unless they are willing to pay more. But personally, I don't see that
much value for this big guy, better to use and maximize their budget in acquiring more role players.

anyone talk about this trade?  Spurs trade Dejounte Murray to Hawks for Danilo Gallinari, 3 first-rounders.

Quote
Hawks receive:

• Dejounte Murray
• Jock Landale

Spurs receive:

• Danilo Gallinari
• 2023 first-round pick (via Charlotte from New York, protected)
• 2025 first-round pick
• 2026 pick swap
• 2027 first-round pick

Who won in this trade?
Hawks won on this trade, no doubt about that. But that is for this season run and I think the Spurs will start rebuilding. I just don't understand why they would sacrifice Murray who is a rising star. Perhaps there is nothing better to offer, that's why.
Spurs may be pushing to do the same as Houston Rocket did. Lean on the drafts and maybe they will find gems to polish and have a new trio that will take them back to the championship.
I think the only reason is that they can't offer Murray a max if his contract expires, so it's better for them to trade it at this point and yes, sacrifice help to rebuild the team with those future first-round picks. It's a huge gamble, but if you look at it, might be a good decision after all. They might find a gem as you have said, and I think Danilo might be another trade bait too in the future.

It's good though, I mean he become their franchise player, won a 3 point shootout last year and then have a good season. Time to reward him with this kind of money. Him and Edwards seems to blend more, D'Lo though might be their problem. I'm seeing that they are going to trade Russell and build around KAT and Edwards for the future. Hopefully, KAT can compensate them next season by bringing them into the playoffs again and get past the first round.

He is a versatile big man, I think he is one of the best big man in the NBA now, better than Jokic (IMO), so I think he really deserves that huge contract. It's a shame if they will not give him a max contract, he might be stolen by other team, and if Lebron gets him and dump Davis, that would make the Lakers a championship team.

Yes, I agree with that, he is one of the best big men but currently, the best big man is Jokic because he won back-to-back MVP and his team has a better ranking compared to the Wolves. It's not only about individual talent but also your impact to the team, and Jokic has been consistent with providing the team's expectation on him.

This is why he deserve that huge contract he get and for sure if Nuggets didn't give this huge offer for sure there are other teams can offer the same contract he gets. Its not shame for him if Nuggets will not give them a max contract to Jokic but rather its a huge loss for them knowing how big the contribution he can bring also I believe Nuggets will not be a good contender if Jokic will be out of there picture and go to another team.

According to twitter KD has officially requested a trade from the Nets. They are saying this brings new life to the Kyrie to the Lakers rumors. I’ve gotta say, as far as drama goes the Nets have had things on lock. Hard to believe that Ben Simmons has been the drama free guy this off-season for them. People are saying KD to the Suns and Kyrie to the Lakers, but I sort of doubt either. I can’t imagine KD doing more ring chasing at this point in his career, but you never know…
I just finished reading about this. https://www.nba.com/news/reports-kevin-durant-requests-trade-from-nets
This is big! NBA owners may now be trying hard opening a cap space for him. That guy is a magnet of fans and bandwagons will surely follow him wherever he drops. Any team will have their ticket sales increased and so are their memorabilias.
Quote
However, Wojnarowski also reports the Nets are seeking a trade that allows them the greatest return of assets and have reportedly been approached by half the teams in the NBA as to what it would take to acquire Durant.
Nets will surely make this worth the price. Someone big must be offered in exchange for him which I think is the hardest part.

Of course, Durant and Irving are a high-paid players and therefore it's a big value for them.

However, I don't think that the Nets would trade both superstars in one season only, I think maybe one of the two will be traded but the other one will remain to play with Simmons and still make the team a championship contender.

When it comes to the possibility on which player will be traded, I highly believe it will be Irving.

The drama will always attached to Ben Simmons, no matter where he goes, I mean the way he severed his ties with the Sixers that drag them for the whole season. So I guess it's more on the mentality of Ben now, no one can help him except himself. Durant could be a good mentor, but what if Ben is missing those free throws and becomes a liability then? So it will haunt him until he improved his free throws or even take a good shot outside so that he can silence his critics.

How can you say that Simmons will still be like that? It's just the first time he was traded to another team so what reference can we look at?

I would agree that this is the first time that we have seen him traded, but the way he severe his tie with his former team? doesn't sit well, even majority of us thinks that he has a problem.

It does, that's another problem if Ben Simmons will still be like that while on the Brooklyn Nets. He likes that trade and really looks forwards to it. He gets rid of his problem already and he should be good now. New environment, new teammates, another start. I don't see any reason why he should make some drama again not unless another personal problems between him and one of his teammates occur.

Who knows, that how he was in the Sixers, even Joel and the coach has his back. But when he doesn't want to play anymore with them because of the criticism, then that's where the problem started. It's good that he got his wish, but this has set a precedent for him and his career.

And don't worry. Steve Nash already has a good portfolio and experience dealing with a Diva. I think it's even hard to handle the other one compare to doing some good talks with Ben Simmons. The other one has lots of egos to deal with compared to Ben Simmons who I think just needs a new environment to play with.

Yeah, Harden is out already, KD opting to get out of his contract, Irving most likely will be traded as well. So not sure as well if that is a good portfolio as far as Nash handling this diva players.

I think Nets should go on a rebuilding journey again with Kyrie most likely traded and KD looking to opt out of contract as well. The could get future no. 1 picks and for now, just aim to get into playoffs. Could be a franchise defining move if they can find the next LeBron James.

Rebuilding? does not sound like the right word to use. With Durant, they won't be a different team because they have Simmons who is also a superstar, so this team is still going to be a playoff contender or a championship contender, and as long as Durant is healthy, this team will easily get into the playoffs.

Letting Irving go in exchange of more players, that will help them increase their depth and their rotation.

I'm not sure about Kyrie Irving to be sent from Nets before next season. Because I believe that he is still an important part of the team now. He couldn't play in away games for some time maybe but as far as I know there is no problem about that anymore. I think that Nets should keep Irving too like they do for Durant. Ben Simmons and Seth Curry are good transfers already. Maybe they can go for a center transfer. Because Nic Claxton is not that good when it comes to rebounds especially. He didn't have a very good average last season imo.

Letting Irving go in exchange of more players, that will help them increase their depth and their rotation.

Provably it will be beneficial to them if they let kyrie go because they can have a new taste if they work well with their role players and provably Simmons will do more better performance in Brooklyn than in Phily because he has something huge to revenge for. They just need to convince Durant to stay and if they do then Brooklyn still a title contender next season.

Hello NBA basketball fans, there is an interesting thing I want to ask here, of course it concerns tomorrow's/3/7/22, game between the Miami vs. Los Angeles & Warriors vs Sacramento, plan I want to bet on them, but i didn't find good result
The reason for the Miami Heat vs. Los Angeles Lakers, I have little doubt that Miami will beat Los Angeles, since Tyler, Kyle, Victor are missing and a few others, James, Russell are staying on the Los Angeles team, what do you guys think about this, maybe Los Angeles will make history in 2021, Los Angeles won a score of 120-117 over the defeat of Miami.

For the NBA Warriors vs. Sacramento, I don't hesitate to make a bet, the Warriors have top players and can be relied on.

Only Miami vs. Los Angeles is a little indecisive for me.

The Gambling discussion's board never ceases to amaze me.  Huh Huh Huh
That's the reality......!!!!

YOSHIE please keep up if you want to join the discussion here. The NBA is currently on a break. No games to be played until the opening of next season.
Did I see the wrong NBA Team, I really wanted to do it.

The KAT new contract looks insane. He's one lucky dude. The Timberwolves is on the losing side here. They can only hope KAT stays motivated to play while earning that much money. Maybe the high inflation also played a part in the negotiation but that's just a wild speculation from me. We should expect amounts like that before the trade deadline.

They just need to convince Durant to stay and if they do then Brooklyn still a title contender next season.

Letting Kyrie go might happen. Nets should not let KD go and try to offer a better deal to lead this team.

Nets is still a good contender if all players will play and be healthy for the rest of the season. Those rumors of trades are
circulating and the decision still unsure whether the Nets will let things to happen and start a new roster and established
chemistries with new sets of players.

Wow lots of crazy / fun stuff going on in the NBA with the free agency period opening up yesterday. The whole Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving thing is crazy but I guess it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone. I’m especially happy just seeing the news of Zach Lavine having been signed to a super max deal with my Chicago Bulls! Can’t imagine what would have happened had he not resigned with the Bulls!

There are rumors that the Lakers and Nets are working to finalize a deal. Supposedly it will be KD and Kyrie for AD and Westbrook plus a few picks and some $$$. This seems like an insane rumor but there are reports that they are close to a deal. KD and LeBron together would be something else. If that happens I’ll definitely be seeing a few Lakers games live next year. It would be the greatest pairing since Shaq and Kobe.

If Durant, LeBron, and Irving were on the same team, it would be the most dominant trio of the last decade. Although I doubt the Lakers will be able to pull off such a crazy deal. It seems more realistic to me that Durant might be traded for Booker and other Suns players. In any case, we will definitely see some big deals this offseason, given that many interesting rumors are popping up right now.

It will be an amazing and hard-to-defeat roster if in-case Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant will wear the same jersey as LeBron used to wear but yeah, that's just a hard thing to pull off. The nearest scenario that can happen is Durant on the Suns as today he requested a trade and preferred the Valley as a destination but I don't really think that the Suns will give up Booker that easily while Irving was on the table for Lakers trade.

It's possible that they can pull this off but I'm no longer that enthusiast with such super teams. We've seen that for the past season and it's actually optimistic but the result will really vary.

It seems more realistic to me that Durant might be traded for Booker and other Suns players. In any case, we will definitely see some big deals this offseason, given that many interesting rumors are popping up right now.
Yeah, I thought of this has happened already or the trade has already been made?
