How about Karl-Anthony Towns signing a 4 year deal for 56 million per year? That’s crazy money. I’m not sure KAT is worth that much considering he’s never really won anything and he seemed jealous of their new addition Anthony Edwards, who some think to be the team’s best player. I think this contract is going to really hurt them going forward, but they must have felt it was necessary. That’s crazy money though. About 20 million per year more than he is probably worth.
It's good though, I mean he become their franchise player, won a 3 point shootout last year and then have a good season. Time to reward him with this kind of money. Him and Edwards seems to blend more, D'Lo though might be their problem. I'm seeing that they are going to trade Russell and build around KAT and Edwards for the future. Hopefully, KAT can compensate them next season by bringing them into the playoffs again and get past the first round. He is a versatile big man, I think he is one of the best big man in the NBA now, better than Jokic (IMO), so I think he really deserves that huge contract. It's a shame if they will not give him a max contract, he might be stolen by other team, and if Lebron gets him and dump Davis, that would make the Lakers a championship team. This is why he deserve that huge contract he get and for sure if Nuggets didn't give this huge offer for sure there are other teams can offer the same contract he gets. Its not shame for him if Nuggets will not give them a max contract to Jokic but rather its a huge loss for them knowing how big the contribution he can bring also I believe Nuggets will not be a good contender if Jokic will be out of there picture and go to another team. They certainly don't want Jokic out of their team that's why the Nuggets made a tough but good choice on offering him a max contract worth $264 Million if I'm not mistaken. For sure the other teams in the league will keep on offering contracts on their big man if they wouldn't do something to keep Jokic and I'm seeing the LeBron is already looking at him before the supermax deal went through.

I think Kevin Durant and Kyrie situation should not be read too much into it. I mean many people are saying that Durant is wrong to get that much money and provide with only a single playoff win. Players wanting out of a team is not a problem, teams do that all the time and trade their players, so why should it be a problem for players to want to do the same thing.
I believe that Durant will fetch a great amount of picks, and probably a few good players that can be turned into decent size picks later on as well. This means that Kyrie could be traded for another player to eat a cap space, just like hayward, westbrook, wall, etc etc and instead they would be able to just get other players next season with that much empty cap space, and get picks in return again.

Acquiring Brogdon is a great choice. He has a good average playing for 6 seasons at Milwaukee Bucks (3) and Indiana Pacers (3). He can hold the position of number 3 for the Celtics and can even be a backcourt duo with Jaylen Brown or if not, good backup role players coming from the Celtics' second squad. Boston Celtics did great work getting a good role player this off-season. A good start in improving their squad. Who's next? Not much trading rumor on this team is being circulated.

True, Celtics win in this trade, they basically loss nothing for this trade but gain a lon in Brogodon. Indiana should have at least ask for Grant Williams, but maybe C's are not willing to give up. There are also reports that they are getting Gallinari? So Boston are almost complete now, we will see how they are going to execute next season as it seems they are very hungry and have the experience now.

If Durant, LeBron, and Irving were on the same team, it would be the most dominant trio of the last decade. Although I doubt the Lakers will be able to pull off such a crazy deal.
It's possible that they can pull this off but I'm no longer that enthusiast with such super teams. We've seen that for the past season and it's actually optimistic but the result will really vary. If this happen for me this is a big trio Irving, lebron and durant is a good option for the team if they made that for sure they can easily win or easily pass in the quarter finals. Because we all know that if lebron has a good teammates and have a food coaching plays for we can see the play of lebron again leading a high scoring every game. It seems more realistic to me that Durant might be traded for Booker and other Suns players. In any case, we will definitely see some big deals this offseason, given that many interesting rumors are popping up right now.
Their are many rumors for now but let's wait what is the final line up or decisions for every team. And let's wait who's the strongest team in the next season of NBA

A dumb deal imo, but they probably reading way too much into how young a squad they currently have, I mean 20 years old Anthony Edwards is 20, Jaden McDaniels, 21, D’Angelo and KAT are both 26, they feel they could afford to let their next few years of draft go for Rudy, but I'm just keen to see how they tend to go about having both bigs on the floor work.

They may play together on the court. I think the Wolves are thinking KAT will be more focused on the offense now while Gobert protecting the paint and grabbing boards. The problem is he could be too slow as morvillz7z pointed out. Last season's result may have pushed them to acquire an experienced big too.

Gobert is a true center. I mean how are you going to defend both of them lol. The only downsize to this is minn giving up a ton of draft capital to make this happen. If they are perennial finals contenders then it will be worth it since the picks will be late 1sts.

I think Nets should go on a rebuilding journey again with Kyrie most likely traded and KD looking to opt out of contract as well. The could get future no. 1 picks and for now, just aim to get into playoffs. Could be a franchise defining move if they can find the next LeBron James.
Rebuild again? Didn't you know that the moment they sign Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, that's the start of their rebuilding process sacrificing some of their future prospects? There's no need for any rebuild as they are already on it. It's just that their risks are not rewarded but it doesn't mean something good can't work out. I think there are lots of plans already on their table that need to be finalized. Let's wait for their next move. I'm sure they are already on it and just waiting for some possible scenarios or might be, a change of plans on their usual.

It will be an amazing and hard-to-defeat roster if in-case Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant will wear the same jersey as LeBron used to wear but yeah, that's just a hard thing to pull off. The nearest scenario that can happen is Durant on the Suns as today he requested a trade and preferred the Valley as a destination but I don't really think that the Suns will give up Booker that easily while Irving was on the table for Lakers trade.
I hope Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Lebron James will wear different jerseys this upcoming season. Talents should be spread at different teams as we are tired of seeing a stacked team. It's good if that stacked team came from drafting those players but if the team was being stacked because they were able to acquire and sign different superstars, that will just make the competition not that competitive. Like last season, that was the competition we want to see as it's not easy to predict games last playoffs and Finals. The same kind of competition should happen again next season where everything is unpredictable and lower teams can upset Favorite teams.

It's kind of a controversial deal. The Wolves clearly traded too many players, and draft picks for Gobert. However, as the guys wrote above, KAT may play as a power forward while Gobert is a center. In that case, the Wolves might potentially have a strong starting lineup. As for the Jazz, I don't quite understand their benefit in this deal. If they really wanted to completely rebuild the roster, that would be a pretty strange decision as they clearly weren't the underdogs last season. Timberwolves receive:
• Rudy Gobert
Jazz receive:
• Malik Beasley • Patrick Beverley • Leandro Bolmaro • Walker Kessler • Jarred Vanderbilt • 2023 first-round pick • 2025 first-round pick • 2026 pick swap • 2027 first-round pick • 2029 first-round pick (protected)

Most likely Durant and Irving might don different jerseys, but I doubt about Lebron. As far as talent spread, it has been the norm though, the Celtics dynasty of the 60's and then Lakers has history have good and pretty much stack up line. So that's how them are built and win championship I guess. Like last season, that was the competition we want to see as it's not easy to predict games last playoffs and Finals. The same kind of competition should happen again next season where everything is unpredictable and lower teams can upset Favorite teams.
Last season there was injury and then players coming back from injuries as well like Thompson that really help them win another ring. Luka doing everything against the Suns. Maybe that is one upset, as the Suns don't have any answer for Luka's magic. But a good team like the Warriors stop Luka.

I mean why pass up an opportunity like that? His stats looks normal for a guy his size but it's not like he is still in his 20's. I say Jazz did well in this trade and they have more options now if they want to find a replacement. They could get a younger and more agile center with just half of what they receive from Wolves.

So now the Jazz has twin towers? Rudy Gobert and KAT? not sure if this is a good combination and what will Rudy bring to them? I think this is a bad trade for the Wolves, except for his defense, I don't think Rudy offers something that will change the course of their team. On the contrary he might be liable again when small teams going to take advantage of Rudy in pick and roll and then simply get past by him in iso play outside.

Did I see the wrong NBA Team, I really wanted to do it.
That's NBA Summer League. Yes, you will not see stars playing there because it consists of rising stars like G League players, rookies, and sophomores. It will be a big risk to bet on it but, if you do know about them then go for it. "Utah Jazz trading star center Rudy Gobert to Minnesota Timberwolves for four first-round picks"source: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/34180894/sources-utah-jazz-trading-star-center-rudy-gobert-minnesota-timberwolvesI'm not sure how is this going to work for the Wolves honestly, i really don't like it. Lol Imagine how many firsts are the Nets gonna get for Durant? So the Wolves will go slow balling. I like how they played against the Grizzlies battling the speed of a young team. I agree this is not a good fit. What could their management be planning? It looks bad. And, who will let go of PatBev after that recent stunt in Minnesota feeling like a champ? There it is. Marcus Smart cannot make the big plays as his ball-handling is not that good and if Tatum or Brown receives it the play becomes isolation. This is a good decision, they know what the missing piece is.

I don't know if these two players can get along in the game. Rudy Gobert is a good center but he's older now, so I think it wasn't a very good trade. Also, basketball players who have played in the same team for a long time may experience adaptation problems when they move to a new team. If Gobert can get used to this team, they could perform quite well with KAT

Basically yes, but KAT might move to power forward position, maybe that's where they went him to be, post day and then shooting outside, sort of Dirk during his prime. They still have a good play maker in Russell, so there is no love lost for Rudy Gobert. He will be his Donovan Mitchell now, lob and alley oop for him, the play will continue with him. While the Bulls, offer Zach Lavine a 5 year max contract. The two-time All-Star and Olympic gold medalist said Friday he has agreed to a new deal with the Bulls. LaVine will be signing a five-year max contract worth about $215 million, according to a person with direct knowledge of the terms who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the pact cannot be signed until next week by league rule.

Minnesota actually wants to get rid of Russell. I also think that Russell is not a good fit in Minnesota. His current contract is even more not worth to keep for Minnesota since he will become only a 4th option with the arrival of 3 time DPOY Rudy Gobert. I was very surprised upon seeing Gobert's message, thanking Utah and will now play with the Timberwolves. I knew Utah changed their hearts few months ago and preferred to just keep Mitchell. I just didn't expect of Gobert heading to Minnesota. A lot of thoughts came into my mind. Will Towns and Gobert combo along with Edwards work? Although we saw how Towns developed further his shooting skills, his body is just perfect for a physical type of game. Nonetheless, this is still a good move by Minnesota rather than relying on their previous roster. Who knows, they will be the one to stop the trending small-ball offense. Both towers are very good team players too so they will adjust accordingly what's needed.
