Russell is a good addition to a team, he just don't find a good team that will fit him, what i have noticed is that he become bothered with the media making news about him, he does perform well every time but when the media attack him, he just disappeared, mostly in the playoffs, he is one of the explosive player I've ever seen, maybe the injuries are stopping him from playing the same level like in OKC, i hope he just return to that team and make it to the finals.

I don’t know what he is after, a ring? Denver is one of the title contenders, but he left. A higher salary? He’s performing well, but it’s nothing compared to his prime. Or maybe he’s just tired already and gave up chasing a ring before retirement? If it were me, I’d just take Denver’s offer and continue playing as long as there’s still one. At this point in his career, he might end up as one of those stars who never got a ring despite years of playing, and that’s the reality.

The last part of your statement really catch my attention, it happens that instead of Giannis looking for a new team he might choose to ask for his brother's contract so he'll stay with the Bucks a good and wise decision for him knowing that this sports is more into business, since he already got his ring much better to focus with the earnings that he and his brother will earn while still young and there's still team that willing to sign them together.

In terms of WB, still no update personally if it's only possible much better to try his luck finding his way back with OKC before retiring his jersey.

We can’t really speculate, we just have to wait for the news if he’ll end up in a team or not. From what I see, it doesn’t look like his skills are the main issue, but more on his vibe with the team. It feels like some kind of bad luck, since most teams he played with ended up losing. If that’s the basis, then we probably won’t be seeing him this coming season.

Zion to Lakers would make no sense, even if he stays healthy. I mean they do need a "big" but he is not that kind of big, they need someone tall, not someone who can jump high, those are two different skills. The guy who jumps higher, is a block threat, and may block your shot, so you shoot carefully and that's true. But the tall guy is there to disrupt your shot, not block it, it's something that you need to shoot over, sometimes as far as even not seeing the rim.

So those two different skills are obvious and no need to do a short team, it's easier to have one big tall guy there. Look at Gobert, dude literally made a career out of being a shot disrupted all his life thanks to his height. That is EXACTLY who they need, maybe not Gobert anymore because he is getting old, but someone like him.

I think Westbrook is getting offers but for the league minimum and he has said that he won’t take it. The Sacramento Kings said they were interested in signing him for more but they need to trade Malik Monk first and can’t find someone to take him. I’m sure someone will grab Russ before the deadline.

I'm thinking he doesn't want to have a veteran minimum salary, but as I make some research, I realized that it's not the salary that's the problem, but rather no team really wants to have him which is a bit unfortunate for him.

I don't know what's the real reason. Maybe he's a liability on defense? Maybe because of his age? Maybe because of his lack of 3-pt shooting which we know is one of his weakness? Maybe he has a bad attitude problem in the locker room? Whatever the case is, I just hope that he can at least get a contract in the NBA even though it's just a veteran minimum. I still believe that he can be a good role player for any team that needs a playmaker out there. Worst case for him is that, if he will not be signed by any other team then he might be forced to play overseas just like what other ex-NBA players did.

I this point, I don't think that there are teams that are interested on getting him. Perhaps they think that WB might be a big problem instead of being helpful. And besides, he is no longer in his prime and his athleticism is no longer there. Probably his decline started when he goes to the Lakers to play and obviously, he didn't show up any. Same with the Nuggets as well. There could be games that he did help, but overall, he is a non-factor, sad to say.

You can't compare them, Giannis brother was signed because because he is there to keep Giannis with the Bucks. He didn't get a good contract if I'm not mistaken, it's just one year deal but it's enough if he is not playing and then being paid with millions.

Yeah, the Russ situation is wild but not totally surprising. His playstyle just doesn’t fit most modern NBA systems—non-shooter, defensive liability, and there are concerns about his locker-room presence. Still, a team like the Heat or Clippers might take a chance for vet min backcourt depth.

And lol about Thanasis—that’s pure nepotism. He’s basically there to be Giannis’ personal hype man. Russ still has pride and skill, so he’s holding out for a real role, not a cheerleader spot.

It's clear a player is dangerous to hire when the team that had him, didn't want him. I mean if Denver is not interested in him after he played for them this long, then that should tell you something. It's really a good thing and shouldn't really be that interesting. Nobody will end up getting better results for him, it's not going to be that easy for him at all.

Westbrook will end up being a lot harder and shouldn't really be that great at all, it's just going to be an early retirement for him if he keeps asking for more. Melo had the same thing for a while, wanted a lot, failed to find a team, had one last comeback for minimum and then he ended up retiring early. Same could happen with Westbrook basically.

I think any team that needs a veteran perspective will sign him, even for a veteran contract only. I mean, Westbrook can still fill a hole for a team, and his defense is still amazing. Teams that need someone who will lead the second team will probably sign him up. Also, there's a chance they are going to add him before the season starts.

If a player has a chance to make a long shot in the final seconds that could, in theory, affect the outcome of the match, it seems strange not to do it just because a missed shot might slightly worsen the individual stats. If a player has a chance to make a long shot in the final seconds that could, in theory, affect the outcome of the match, it seems strange not to do it just because a missed shot might slightly worsen the individual stats. Just shows how spoiled and self centered those NBA players are. Giving up a last shot, as hard as it might be, just to keep your field goal % is straight up awful. They basically see their own statistics more important than the success of the team. Sure, stats have impacts on contracts but how often do you do this. Just checked Durants last season stats.

He shot 592-1124 from the field, shooting 52.7%. So let's add 20 possible buzzer beaters of which he misses all of them (most likely he would hit some). His stats would be 592 of 1144 then, he would still have almost 51.75%. So for under 1% difference in field gold % over the season he is not taking those shots. Also like I said, maybe he would have shot less than 20 and then even made some, so the impact would be even more tiny.
