Hi guys,

I wanted start to mining but i got a problem!! Rx 480 rx 470 they are not available anymore in Internet!!!!

So.... what i did.... i thought something else to find good enough....

I tried to buy cheap gtx 1060 3gb which i paid 177 euro...
No struggling with bios and other things, just msi afterburner core +100 memory +900/950 i get 23.5 MH/s ethereum as well as are the consumption about 90w each card.

So my actual rigs they are

6x 1060  3gb  about 137 MH/s 700w   (177 euro x6)
6x 1060 3gb   137mh   700w
5x rx 480 about 130  mh   900w   (250 euro x 5)
4x rx 480 130 mh  700/750

Do some calculations and you will get that nvidia they are actually better than amd costing 250😉😉😉 hope to have help you.

Dual mining on 6x rx 480 167 mh/s ETH with 5000+ mh/s DRC = 900w   Wink

I didn't try to mining with eth+decred... i should try with Nvidia and post results....

The rx 570 itx does around 22mh at right under 100W
25 mh eats 135 watt.

Hello Guys,

Can I mix Pitcairn (270X) and Hawaii (290X, 390) cards in the same rig? I tried that but the Pitcairn cards gave only 0,3MH/s.

I use CDM 9.4 and 16.10.3 ATI driver. I tried to disable ASM on Pitcairn cards but didn't help.

Can anyone tell me what did I wrong?

The 270X cards have 2GB RAM - is it possible to use this cards for ETH mining?

No! You need a card with minimum 3GB RAM to mine ETH. The DAG is larger than 2GB. Impossible to mine with 2GB of memory on the card.

Thank you, Jackbox, I thought but I was not sure about the reason why those cards are not working on ETH.

It's been a while since I last mined ETH+DCR or SIA. Can someone let me know what's the current normal hashrate for HD7970's please?

Now mining at miningpoolhub, ETH+SIA, dcri 90, I get some 12Mh/s in ETH and 550MH/s in SIA. That's with Crimson 17 drivers, pixel patched

Thanks

i just tried all dual mining etc+pascal+sia+decred+lbry

well i got impressed by etc+lbry   my 4 rx 480 was gettin etc 104 mhs but when mining pascal or sia it goes 80
just decred is good but is not worth it to mine tbh

last i tried etc+lbry i am getting 100mh (losing 4mh) and very well 144 mh on lbry.

going to whattomine u can see that with just 144 on lbry profit is 78 dollars month which i think is very profitable rn
good mining!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't want to lose etc/eth hashrate while dual mining, use the -dcri option.
Start with 30 and slowly decrease/increase until you are happy with the eth/etc vs sia/pascal/lbry performance.

Lower dcri for faster ETH/ETC, slower sia/pascal/lbry. And vice versa.

I have one 6 GPU AMD rig (mostly R9 290s) and a 4 GPU Nvidia rig which is 2 x 1070's & 2 x 1060 6GB. I love the Nvidia rig! It's doing 105-110 mh/s for only 550-600 watts! Unbelievable right?

Anyway - in your post you said that you OC the core clock +100 and memory +900/950? I have found with my Nvidia cards that I can actually underclock the core, I have all my Nvidia cards at  core -200 and memory +750 - and it's no different to core +75 memory +750, and it saves some power.

Crypto currency enthusiast and miner since 2015. Mined approx 200 ETH during 2016 and 2017 and sold it at approximately $US40 each. Then I watched it reach $1000+ each. If anyone bothers to read this stuff pay attention to this: HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL HODL

I started mining with 1 AMD 7950 and 1 R9-280X. Then I gradually built my AMD operation into 12 R9-290s. Awesome ETH hash but ridiculous power consumption and heat. Over the last year I defected to the Nvidia team. I now use GTX 1070s. They were expensive to buy (probably a bargain now) but awesome hash rate vs. power consumption. blah blah blah blah

I'm having the same problem. By all accounts, this card should be mining at ~20-22MH/s but I'm only getting 12.5 no matter what I do. I've tried both the latest drivers and 15.12. Pixel Clock Patcher did nothing.

Edit: After some research, it seems like this rate is par for the course for the 7970/280x due to the current DAG size slowing it down. Bummer. Seems like other coins are the only answer. Though I might just use mine to dual mine. 12.5 is better than nothing.

Dual mining takes a lot more power, eth+sia is 40% more power than eth only. And I remember somebody said is mining musicoin+sia with 7k series card...

hey guys, claymore,
i have a problem with win 10 task scheduler & rx580 nitro+ LE
it launches ethdcrminer64.exe without fan control an without custom gpu power config.
its kinda weird.. its seems it only loads parts of the config.txt file.
it is mining but only 26mh/s, the fan control is offline, gpu gets 75c and the fans are chill at 30% ^^
while ethman doesnt show gpu temp and fan speed.
after i launched saphirre trixx i saw the custom power config didnt apply too.

i did set win10 task scheluder with highest priority and 1min delay after windows boot without login and saved pw.

after i kill the task and launch ethdcrminer from bat file is is working normal..
31.5mh/s full fan control, ethman showing all data and custom gpu power

the logfile shows all arguments get loaded. but claymore isnt able to apply them..
even after a manual launch from task scheduler ...
ADL no AMD Adapters found

for security reasons i would rather not launch from autostart after login
a workaround maybe could be done with trixx but i dont think it should be nessesary
my old rigs dont use custom gpu power and do stable fan at 80% so the problem never came up Smiley
but now that i am talking about that, ethman wont show gpu temp and fan speed on the old rigs too..
they all launch from task scheduler.... so it might be the same problem...

Ok guys I recently purchased a miner and I need to know if what I am experiencing is normal or not.   I'm getting around 168mh on eth only but it's been very inconsistent. On ethermin my effective hash ranges from 120mh to 190mh,  my reported hash stays around 170.  I am also getting about 10 to 12 restarts a day on simplemining.

My opinions on simplemining are as follows,

-wd 1 -r 1 -epool us1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal (my wallet)  -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333

Would it be beneficial to add  - asm 0 or does everything seem fine?
