I have multiple rigs running both Asrock H110 pro BTIC (has 13 pcie slots) and Supox motherboard that has 12 pcie riser slots. I cannot run more than 8 cards (nvidia 1070) on these rigs. I have an I3 core processor LGA 1151 16gb memory, vitual memory set to 16GB-22GB. Win 10 recognizes all the 12 or 13 cards but the moment claymore starts the system crashes. 8 GPU runs great. hashing 240 mhz.second with 8 GPU. Any thoughts on the command line text to split the GPU's between two claymore's?

Windows doesn't support more than 8 AMD or 8 Nvidia in a system.  You have to mix: in example 8 gtx 1070 + 5 AMD cards.

What's everyone's thoughts on mixing brands of cards?  2 x MSI 1060 + 2 x Asus 1060 for example.  Is this more work with managing OCs?

no problem.

in afterburner you can group similar cards and set them all at once, or not and set individually.

That's great to know, thanks.

Since the rx580's came out, I have been using the mixed driver trick to get my rigs running on 7+ gpus of miscellaneous 470/480/570/580 cards in Windows 10.  With the newer released official drivers, do I still need to do this?

Also, regarding the beta blockchain driver, is AMD really done developing this driver?  I have seen mixed messages on that.  I got a nice bump on them but cant control voltages and cant control overclocks in Claymore.

thanks!

Can you define "bump" in MH?

About 1.0 - 1.4 m/h per card.  Basically restored some of the lost MH from when I started mining in May.  I would love to use this driver on all my rigs but need control of the voltages or it is wasted on energy and high temps.

Biostar TB250-BTC PRO - 12 pcie slots
ASrock H110 Pro BTC+ - 13 pcie slots
and now the ASUS B250 Expert Mining 19 pcie slots

I will say it can be a pain in the ass to track down issues with that many GPUs.

How do you get 12 GPUs in a rig? What board has 12 slots?

Other than saving the cost of a MB, HD, mem,psu and CPU ($350 what advantages do you get from a 12 cpu rig versus a 6 gpu rig?

Did you check power draw at the wall before and after.  1 m/h increase would be simple to gain on mine if i gave it more electricity to eat.

What are the odds of me not 15 mins after posting this question frying all of my mainboard pcie slots an a rig by touching the pinout on a card to the case? How did I manage to fry them all in one shot? lol

Just waiting on a few confirmations and a new ASrock H110 Pro BTC+ will be on its way, a forced upgrade. *sigh* Ask and you shall receive, that's how it works right?

That 19 slot board is some kind of myth, lots of talk but nobody selling.

I was going to go for some X11 ASICs but this freak accident forcing me to buy a new MB is a sign, to get more GPUs instead. I think XMR will pick up where ETH drops off anyhow. I'm going with this board and a Pentium... I remember those... from decades ago... heh

uhh.. make that two and a half decades ago.  Cheesy

Some quick feedback for Claymore on the messaging used with regards to the DevFee.  When I first read in the logs "DevFee: stop mining and disconnect" I thought it was telling me to stop mining because the Dev Fee wasn't getting "paid" properly.  As in, "you aren't paying the Dev Fee, stop using this software".  I see now based on your response below that this actually means that the DevFee mining has stopped and has disconnected from the pool.  You may want to consider changing this to something like "DevFee: stopped mining and disconnected".  Or maybe add something like "DevFee: mining complete, thanks for your support".

Maybe I'm the only one that was confused by this but if there are others like me it could help clear things up!  Thanks.

Miner shows everything related to devfee. It must show "DevFee: start mining" and after 36 or 72 seconds it must write "DevFee: stop mining and disconnect". You can enable logging to file with option "-dbg 1" and then search all these strings. If you see some strange things, please PM me the log file so I can check it.
You can also decrease "-ethi" value to "8" or to "4" and check if it works more stable. This miner loads GPUs more than standard miner so if you overclocked GPUs you should check stability of this miner without overclocking, you can assign only one rig for such tests.
If you think that this miner steals your power you can download WireShark and check all packets that miner sends when you see something strange, it is not a complex task. And, of course, you can wait for more stable version if current version does not work for you, or do not use this miner at all.

Having an issue on one mining rig after having to wipe drivers and install from scratch.

When running claymore everything works fine, but slowly it kills the internet connection on the machine. The latency gets worse and worse until I can no longer TV into it. If I shut down claymore the problem goes away. I've tried 9.7 and 9.8. Using AMD driver 17.6.2.

Anyone else run into this?

I'll also add I can mine with claymore monero miner just fine. It doesn't cause any interference with the network.

Do you mean WiFi by internet connection?
WiFi can be interfered by electrical/magnetic filed.
Keep the router away from the rig. Use WiFi dongles on long USB cables at least.

I'm using command -r 1 with reboot file "shutdown /r /t 0 /f"

But most of reboots freezes during closing windows 10.
Did you have similar problem? Can't find solution so far Undecided

Does it work every-time when you run reboot.bat manually?
If yes then there are no issues with your file.

If it is not activated when your computer freezes then you have to looks elsewhere.
Looks like you OCed too much. Greed is a sin.
