EDIT: Sorry - hate long posts. deleted the text here. Smiley

mine is:

PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_67DF
thanks

[/quote]

Glad to help.

wmic process where name="EthDcrMiner64.exe" delete
-this kills the running miner process

1) Yes, -r 1 will take care of it as long as you add parameters in your miner(start).bat file. Paste the code in your reboot.bat

2) DEVCON is a Microsoft tool that allows "device management" from the command line. Unfortunately it's not part of Win anymore. Don't remember where I downloaded it, but remember I had to burn a ISO file from the Windows Driver Kit. You will probably find it if you google. Same as you do when you disable/enable in device manager. Added in 5 sec delay.

3) Used on a rig having Vegas and RX580's. Never tried on other cards (was when I was struggelig getting my Vega's to run properly...) Should wok fine if you add the correct PCI\VEN.... string

@ollis

great! thanks for your big help. i was looking for this foolproof solution.

taskkill /f wont really help much because of dag creation stuck.

i believe restarting driver will really solve it.

thanks.

At the moment, what is the best Verge pool? Or are they all still shit?

NLPool - Died
Uni - Stealing Hashrate
Antmining - Profit was low

Are they still the same, or have any of them improved?

You can try: http://xvgminingclub.info/

Did the same as you (tested all those pools) then I found out those guys. Really nice and friendly. Hope they get more hash.  Smiley

nl improved a lot

Ya, nlpool seens estable but 2h for a blok :$ need a litlle more Ghs

Need to teste then again

That's normal. It takes more time but you earn the same. In a bigger pool you receive more payouts but 2 hours later you get the same on every pool. Ofc, without using fees, and what they steal and etc as a variable.

And at least they dont steal miners.

I tested nlpool yesterday, after 24h of mining no block were found or at least show in my account, so I move to another pool. Something it is not working well at nlpool, maybe they need more time, at the begining I found very good performance but now its not the same.

There is a factor of luck already explained by the admin of the pool. Today pool can mine 5 blocks instead of 10 that should mine, but tomorrow can mine 20. It's all about patience.

Do the comparation with others pool, its the same factor of luck which apply to all pool not only to nlpool. BTW, atm antminepool is working well.

NLPool didn’t have an orphan today and if memory serves me correctly 12 or so blocks. Certainly looking better.

>> NL pool is alive ... actually doing very fine. You can check at our website. Not one block went orphan last 48 hours and all is working perfectly stable.

Hello fellow ETH miners!  I've been having some issues lately and wondered if any of you might have experienced the same thing and figured out a workaround...

On 3 of my 4 Windows 10 6x470 rigs, GPU-0 is causing issues. Many times it runs at a slower speed (20-21 vs 25-26) and also ends up eventually causing a "GPU 0 hangs in open CL - miner restart" error.  Sometimes this ends up occurring every couple of minutes, which obviously kills mining rewards.

This problem seemed to start popping up after the Windows Fall Creators Update was installed on these rigs.

I had a similar speed issues with Claymore Cryptonite miner... always GPU0 again on all 4 rigs... and this was fixed be manually designating the "-h" value for GPU 0 at slightly below default and leaving the other 5 cards at the 0 defalut.

However, I see no such "-h" value option in this dual ETH miner, so wondering if there is another setting that I need to manually adjust to help fix this issue with my GPU 0's.

Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed!

Same here but with reds (4x Nitro+ 570 & 2x Nitro+ 580) + Win10 x64. After 1-2-4 hours new "Claymore Dual Miner 11" shows me "GPU hangs in open CL...". And it can be GPU 3 or GPU 4 or GPU 5, just randomly. Tried it all with different settings, set no memory errors at HWinfo, changed PSU, changed all risers, tried ETH-only mining - the result is the same, hangs - miner restart windows by "-r" command and again.

Mr.Claymore I deeply respect you for all the work you've done here but please clear the situation. I also see that a lot of people are facing the same issues. Thanks.

Hi Guys! I wish all profitable mining...

I recently had serious problems after windows update. Rigs started to crash.
One of the sata connectors catch fire and melted, two graphics cards dead no power (not because of melted sata it was another card and still working)

And right now I am having GPU 0 hash rate 0 issue, it happens identically 2 of my rigs. It happens whenever I remote connect via teamviewer then I need to restart the rig, and I need to be there physically to do that(gotta switch the display otherwise it is not going to work) I do not have this problem before windows update and v.11 but I guess it has nothing to do with v.11, I downgraded v.10.6 and still happens.

Do you have any idea? thanks for your help in advance...

Sorry for long post.

I am attempting to use Claymore's Dual Miner V11 to mine Ethereum/XVG. I have also attempted using the ETH only mining mode. Whenever I run the start.bat, my computer hangs and then crashes every single time causing hard boot after this step: "Create GPU Buffer for GPUX" - the GPU has changed to all of them (0-5) through multiple attempts. I have attempted to run the miner with each single GPU (and other 5 disconnected) unsuccessfully. I have tested the miner on my regular desktop and bat file runs without difficulty.

Here are my specs:
x6 XFX Radeon 570 (all 6 cards appear in device manager - DDU successfully run - all changed to compute mode via AMD settings - current software version 18.2.1 adrenalin)
Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake Dual-Core 3.3 GHz
4GB Kingston HyperX FURY Black 2133MHz DDR4 (have also attempted x2 for 8GB without success)
ASUS Z170 Maximus VIII (bios updated via EZ FLASH)
EVGA SuperNOVA 1200W P2 80+ PLATINUM
Silicon Power 60GB SSD (have attempted running this as a third output for the 3 SATA cables each running two of the GPUs and given its own 4th SATA cable)
Windows 10 (installed via bootable UEFI USB)

Bios settings:
DMI max link speed gen 2
PEG PCI link speed gen 2
PCIE confing PCIE speed gen 2
Disabled LED Lighting
Disabled HD Audio
Above 4G Decoding Enabled
Disabled Integrated Graphics (this was necessary for system to recognize 6 GPU)

Windows settings:
Disabled windows firewall/defender/antivirus
Ran Windows 10 Registry tweaks for mining.bat (from mining.help)
Ran Windows update (now disabled)
Have changed virtual memory settings (attempted low end from suggested to 16000 and high end from 20000-24000)

start.bat file:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal WalletNumber.WalletName -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://xvg.eu1.unimining.net:5770 -dwal WalletNumber -dpsw c=XVG -dcoin blake2s
have also attempted to mod -gser and this seemed to slightly delay the crash
have also attempted to mod -lidag and this seemed to slightly delay the crash

Windows logs show this critical error with every crash:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

I'm at my wits end as far as what else to try. Any ideas are appreciated.

Edit: have not changed GPU BIOS or attempted overclocking/undervolting yet.

For isolation, try to plug/install a single GPU on the main PCI-e x16 slot. then fire up miner.

if this will run smoothly, you have a riser problem. Wink

what pools for blake2s xvg?

I am currently trying out coinfoundry.  Have switched from uni, antmine and zpool as returns were no where near w2m reported.
ttps://coinfoundry.org

Nlpool is working well. Last 2 days I've got about what I expected. Is a small pool so can go hours without finding a block, but when they do you get a larger payout.

I also believe xvgminingclub to be honest and trying hard. They should be stable from today, but let's see.

Right now I have one rig pointing at nlpool with fall over set to xvgminingclub and the other doing the reverse.

try change "gen2" to "Gen 1" in your motherboard BIOS
try >= 120GB SSD
try with only 5 or 4 GPU (to check if PSU 1200 enough)

(give feedback afterwards)

Guys is ethermine.org still one of the go to pools for ethereum mining?

I always have about 96% accepted shares and 4% stale shares .. ? Why 4%? Is that the miner fee?
What does stale mean in this relation?

I mean the weekly outcome is good but slightly below of the whattomine calculation with my "reported" hashrate from my rigs.

All rigs perfectly stable since the last restart one week ago. No disconnects, restarts, etc.

Any help or info for me?

Thanks a lot!

No its not a miner fee, there are some factors on stale shares most probably is the latency of pool, check your mining pool location, choose the nearest to you to decrease latency, also check your connectivity, stable connection is the key.

The only pool you should avoid is Nanopool, it produces twice as many stales compared to other pools, just don't report them.
You shouldn't worry about stales on Ethermine, it is completely normal for a network with 15s block time to produce a noticeable amount of stale shares. You're getting paid anyway, just on a slightly lower rate.

As long as they pay stale shares, ethermine pays 60% and so nanopool.
