And it doesn't happen at other times?  If so, it's the getwork server getting backed up... I will have to consider how best to handle that.

After a block is solved is the only time I have noticed it.  I'll let you know if it happens again.

I have miners installed on three different locations in Germany, with three different ISP's and all three have lost the connection to eu.eclipsemc.com.

I did pings to the eu, us and us2 eclipsemc server. They need a unusual, very long time for an answer.

In one of my miner locations, which was using eu.eclipsemc.com, I changed the server to the us and also to the us2 server.
The other servers (us & us2) are working. But the running phoenix miner couldn't connect to the eu server.

Is the eu server running?

The eu server is reachable BUT the service on port 9009 / 8337 is not running.
The us server is reachable and the service is running normal for me.

Ok, the eu server has intermittent dropout issues that are completely unexplainable by either myself or my ISP.  The routing just stops... we've looked at the router tables and I've quintuple checked the box and there's nothing to cause it.

The changes I made today actually, now that I think about it, would have disabled the eu server.  I just made a DNS change that should fix the eu server for the moment, until I get get a more permanent fix in place.  There is no 9009 service on eu, but there should be 8337 service.

I've been working on the bitcoind problem and I'm loading the blockchain now, should take about an hour and then I'll have to do some internal testing.  I'll then open up another server with the new bitcoind to do some live testing at that point.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

yes up and stable for now.
check what the lookup for eu.eclipsemc.com is:
unix (linux, macosx, bsd):
host eu.eclipsemc.com
eu.eclipsemc.com has address 208.110.68.115

winblows:
nslookup eu.eclipsemc.com

if its 208.110.68.115 then ur good to go and should be able to connect, if not then temporarly point ur miners to 208.110.68.115:8337 instead of eu.eclipsemc.com:8337 .

greetings

The pool will be down a few minutes while I replace the bitcoind client.  If it crashes out, I'll restore the current one - but so far there's been no issues.  Shouldn't take but a few minutes, but your miners will complain of being idle.

Update is done... lets see how that works out for the timeouts now.  I had to back out some of the changes... we'll see how its' running with this codebase then I'll look at adding in some more optimizations once I'm satisfied this is working and stable.

When was the last time you reset the reject count?  IE - what is your reject count on the current block?

I had to futz with the servers quite a bit last night, which caused a lot of rejects and if your counts have not been reset since then, they will be way off.  In regards to that, everyone got the same number of rejects, so it won't affect your payout, as everyone will be operating under the same conditions.

I show about a 1.5 - 2% reject, though my submitted shares are a little low for accurate statistic for the current block on my miners. I can look at getting that down as my next step.

I am seeing about 4.4% rejects also.  Note, this is a moving 3 hour average (so does not include last nights futzing) and is calculated on my end (not based on the stats you are calculating on the web page).

I just restarted that server with some debug options to look at rejects, you'll probably see a bunch of rejects just now.  So far, I am seeing no rejects other than those associated with a Long Poll.
