Guys, what do you think is a realistic price on the master controller board with the beaglebone? A friend of mine bought a miner from phoenix some time ago and Phoenix gave a 2nd controller board for free, which my friend lend out to me to use with my 4 upgrade modules I bought from KNC.
Now he wants to sell it and is offering me to buy it, but because I plan on selling the miner soon I wonder: should I buy the board from him to keep the miner complete and sell it as it is? or give it back to him and sell it as Upgrade modules only?
I wonder what a fair price is? It's a very hard to find component, yet is it unknown if anyone actually needs it at the moment. Is $1000 a realistic price?

Upgrade modules will still piss people off, which rigs will they be compatible with? The past ones were Nov only weren't they? This is the main reason I went with KNC, the modular design that could be upgraded. Turned out that was shite. Never got the chance. This is also one of the primary attractants for me as well. They were still listing their products, including the Neptune, as modular designs with full upgrade capability, up until recently when I pointed out that they were advertising as modular despite not selling any modules. They took that off pretty quick once it was pointed out ... Legally speaking, the first 2 batches of Neptunes were sold under the guise of upgradability via modules. SOO..........

Sorry, but KNC is busy protecting their customers' share of the network. (Protecting the share from increasing) Yes. Static isn't but rather falling behind.

I am being serious here Seems a little high to me, but you probably wont find another one. I might actually have a need for that but wont know until I dig deeper. It would hurt me mentally to pay 1000.00 but I would probably do it because of the scarcity. Regards

Simple. Manufacturers need to stop this pre-order crap that drags on for endless months. End of problem.
Yes! Any company that has product for sale immediately with solid characteristics and with a competent team behind it will swipe away everybody else. In fact, if even Cointerra was silent through the whole ordeal, but suddenly released Terraminer en masse at 1.6th/s for $10k, they would have sold 10 thousand of them or more. I wonder why nobody else thought of doing this instead of pathetic preorders.See here for an excellent explanation of preorders from deathandtaxes: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262052.msg3936006#msg3936006I think this was posted a few pages back but i can't find it so here it is again

Regards Considering Mercury's are going for $1,500-2,000 on ebay, you could just get one of those and use the mining module. Or sell it.

I wish people look at this "pickaxing" strategy (who is guilty of this?-LOL) before whining about what is "fair" or "unfair" as far as individual orders are concerned. I'll give the whole charade a couple of months more to play out. Strangely enough, bitcoin is behaving more stable than some stocks right now.

yes opentoe, 51 from me, 18 from my brother, we got scammed, bigtime.
Hey Phoenix! I'm a lurker watching U people changing the world with bitcoin the NEW means of exchange for the internet era! NWO is really the order when we the good people of the world will force the Bank of International Settlements in Basel (BIS) and the 'print €$hitcoins at will and give to mafia sisters BOE, FED, BOJ, ECB et al. 'change their fraud or vanish... You're one of the pioneers in this gift from some god giving society a world changing development... Re: "lost 51 BTC and brother 18" ... lets try and track the fraudsters and see where it leads... May be they bought antminers.. sushi can send the miners/btc back to you? Anyways, I like everything you have said (watched you on the KNC thread for a year) and your enthusiasm! P.S. #FRAUD mafia of central bankers colluding with corrupt politicians and corporate lobbying shills are going down!!!11!!1 Here they transferred your btc somewhere (scroll down a bit) https://blockchain.info/address/1MLTfBmQ42eTSG5vr4JuSqfHeG13NuygDe<- EDIT: hehe, of course U know that. It will be hard (impossible?) to track, just like JP Morgan Goldman Sachs HSBC Barclays drug money laundering and all the fraud they do. The lesson here is that fraud is sadly everywhere Big scale fraud is the banker politico cartel though and bitcoin will give freedom to us all. Fraud is embedded in in some Homo Sapiens (corruptus) genes sub species and that is what we are up against. The bad element has infested all branches of government. Change in society will happen when the judicial branch gets bought and paid for by the special interest groups and we the people understand the fraud and turn off the BB dancingwiththeIDIOTS channel.

I bought a Saturn with no ASICs for $600 on eBay. He had 2 Saturns, and combined them to a Jupiter, so I got the case, controller board and BBB.

Thank you. cyper, he already won the auction, UNLESS of course you don't believe him. I have thought about the same, but looks like last merc. sold for too much, so still looking.

sbfree: Cyper doesn't care about trying to win the auction. He's trying to complete a price discovery on a controller board.
