Trying to refund one Neptune. Will report how it goes. Is China trying to ban bitcoin every other day? Why not do it all at once? It is a bit funny, because twice already I made a small purchase and next day-China bans bitcoin!

I postet this in their forum they deleted it, instead of answering to it: KnCMiner Network Protection Statement
At KnCMiner we are aware of the service we are providing to our customers. We are also aware that we need our customers to have a return on their devices in order to purchase form us again. With the scale of the supply chains, agreements and factories we have access to, we need to be cautious we don’t ship too many devices and therefore reduce the return to our customers. So with that in mind our plan is to do as follows: We will ship no devices in December 2013, January 2014 or February 2014. Meaning that once we have taken the difficulty up at the end of November we will not release any more hashing power for 3 months. We will then release our new generation of devices, which will begin shipping in March 2014. These devices will also have a much higher GH/$ rating than any of our current offerings. We would like to state that If any of our competitors continues to add large amounts of hashing power to the network during December, January or February. We will continue to release our devices as competitively priced as we can to protect our customers share of the network.
Thanks KnCMiner Team
The Fact is: As of April 1, KNC will be delay in delivery of Neptunes

They will be out of the fab in the next few days then off to packaging then to our testing facility then to be mounted on PCBs then to our facility in KC. Since everything has already been tested and works, it should be a fairly simple, quick and straight forward process once they come out of the fab.

Refunds & Delay Compensation Because of the delay, we're offering several different forms of compensation that vary based on order pricing and order date: $4680 600GH Monarchs Free performance upgrades All customers who ordered 600GH Monarchs prior to the price decrease on November 28, 2013 will be upgraded to the Imperial Monarch product, which is a new, high performance version of the card. The Imperial Monarch will operate at 1 TH/s (+ / - 20%). Six Month Refund or Double Shipment Guarantee If you’ve been waiting in queue for six months or more, you qualify for either a full refund in USD, OR double the hardware you ordered. This latter option will come in the form of (a) first shipping you the new Imperial Monarch, giving you an expected 160-175% of your ordered hashrate, and then (b) an additional Standard 600 GH Monarch at the end of the queue, giving you another 100% hashrate boost, totaling an expected 250+% of your ordered hashrate once all products have shipped. (Note: Electing the refund cancels the Imperial Monarch upgrade offer in the first section above.) 50% off Voucher If your paid order is less than 6 months old but you paid $4680 for your Monarch, you will instead receive an Imperial Monarch as described above, as well as a 50% off discount on an additional Standard Monarch at the end of the queue. Full Price 300GH Monarchs For 300GH Monarch orders, similar but slightly different offers will be extended. Customers will be contacted with specifics via email soon. Mining By the GigaHash If your Mining By the GH paid order is more than 6 months old, you will receive 2x the hashrate purchased. Reduced Price Orders Individual orders that are less than 6 months old and that paid for the reduced price 600GH or 300GH Monarch will likely not be delayed past the expected delivery date. . Details specific to each of the above order categories will be communicated to eligible customers via email in the next few days. We hope everyone will remain in the order queue and take delivery of these extremely power-efficient, super-fast miners. But, cognizant of the feedback of our earlier 65nm customers, for those qualified buyers who desire a refund we will gladly issue you one.

So communicating lies after lies and overpromising (one year late) and underdelivering (3x power at half performance specs) is better than provide very little communication being a little late (2 weeks) and overdelivering (extra hashing)? What alternate reality do you live in? Better yet, what drug are you taking. I want some of that! Based on the last gen's performance, I say I will be shocked if BFL ship in quantity next month. Even if the Monarch is ready, they will mine the crap out of them before delivering to their customer. At least KnC had the decency to ship all pre-orders to their customers first and waited 5 months until most of the customers ROI before mining the crap out of the network.

How stupid does one have to be to continually believe someone who's a known liar. Now, I'm not saying that BFL is or isn't going to follow through on those statements, but they've burned the benefit of the doubt a long time ago. It absolutely astounds me when people reference BFL statements as truth when they're (BFL) known to lie.

All that compensation would be nice if bfl had a chance of delivering their hardware on time and up to advertised specs.
KNC motto: under promise, over deliver BFL motto: over promise, under deliver
I guess it is possible that for the first time ever BFL actually delivers but I doubt it.

Those Neptunes wont be released till day 1 of Q3. Remember the Jupiter "September" delivery. They were delivered mid Oct even though as of Sept 20th they still claimed to be making the September shipping. The same thing will happen with the Neptunes.
Why would they sell them a day sooner than they have to instead of using them to mine?
Speculation on delivery belongs on the mining speculation sub board. While my opinion is the CA batch will have ROI before Q3. They're not even remotely late at all by any standards until then end of April. While they fabbed out in February so KNC starting to ship 20nm before the end of April is still a very real possibility indeed.
