Does anybody know the current estimated shipping data for the Titan, anything more precise than Q2/Q3?

Considering they took about 3 months from tapeout to the release of Jupiter, I would estimate the Titan being released late August/early September, which coincides with KNC's marketing strategic plan of: give possible release dates but wait to the last minute possible to actually deliver.

Where did you get that TOTAL MISINFORMATION from?
They taped put Jupiter on September 17th last year, and I had my machines by October 15th.
others got them a week sooner

Please address the bolded statement and at at least admit you are wrong. Many people have tried to educate you on "tape out" in the past and it appears that you still have no idea what it means.

Your point even strengthens my position, because wafers need made before they can get sliced & packaged.

I agree with you Phoenix. Based on past Jupiter performance, KNC is likely to start shipping Neptunes later this month.

The delay from tape out to fab complete on Titan wafers is likely to be a lot shorter than the Jupiter because KNC has more production experience and because there are issues of fab scheduling involved. Its anybody's guess how they've scheduled Titan wafer production, but i'll bet they were pretty aggressive about it. I think we'll see the first Titans ship in July.

Its going to be fun to watch Avenger, RoadStress and their gang 'o gentlemen trying to come up with CYA excuses for themselves.
Yep. Any and all good news will be shot down by the spondoolies dealers here. "Group buy" guys. It's a free-for-all on spreading FUD. Granted, KNC are not perfect, but who is? I just get tiffed watching them spread FUD, while selling Spooners shit here. It's obvious they have everything to gain by spitting as much foul bullshit as they can on KNC to get other in on their little group buy.... fine... but that's no reason to spread total nonsense.

Hi,

There is only one possibility of knc, we at least need another 5 weeks to go to have our initial batch Tity, and regarding Nepy, as my humble math, it will be 7.2Th/s with 2.8 kw power consumption, just  waiting for first batch, if things as my guess, I'll put my repeat order of Nepy and Tity.

How bout you fucks learn how to READ!!
The TITAN taped out a week ago, so given KNC's track record, it should be in production late August/ early September.

The Neptune taped out in February (if I remember correctly) and should be in production in a week or 2 if everything goes as planned.
I'm assuming the Neptune took 4 months instead of the usual 2-3 months from tapeout to wafers since it is a new 20nm design.

Hello,

Since the Easter holidays we have a large backlog of new orders that need to be booked in and out of our accounts along with the refunds. Due to this we are experiencing delays with the refunds and we are working as quickly as possible to process all refunds.

Hahaha ... I'll forget KNC once I get the refunds, back to life.

We are fast approaching mid-June, where is Plan B?

Plan B is meant to be available to CA batch customers in early June. Give us our small piece of datorhall!

\/
They are making half a million dollars a day self mining their DC - they aren't going to give that away to customers they don't give a crap about just because the customers they don't give a crap about demand it Grin

This is even more true now that the price of BTC has increased in the last few weeks.

Believe me, KNC have promised a lot of stuff and it's all misleading, like the Q1/Q2 date. Q1 was never ever ever ever possible, it was just a date to mislead people who don't understand the engineering and how long this process actually takes. And it worked. Does anyone remember this poll from December where they asked people to speculate on when Neptune would ship?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=384125.0;viewResults

So many people voted April because of the misleading Q1/Q2. The big joke is Neptune production won't start properly until Q3, which is something pretty much no one who voted imagined would happen.

They said people would get hashing at the DC "if they were delays". As they are still pretending everything is one track, it means you won't get any free hashing. They mislead you with that "promise".

Another example of their misleading wording? KNC have stated Neptune shipping "starts" in Q2. So they probably plan to get a rig working at 11.59pm on the 30th, same as the last time. So really, Q3 is when you'll *actually* take delivery. But if they told people they wouldn't get their rigs until Q3, everyone would refund. So they just continue to mislead.

But all their lies and misleading statements mean nothing when they finally get chips and have to do something with them. They have to do some real engineering, which they suck at.

Get ready for the excuses and delays, which are just around the corner.

tl/dr you won't be getting any datorhall hashing in June, as knc's promises are all misleading and hedged with clauses which means they haven't actually promised you anything.

Don't worry, they will be saved like in a bad movie by BTC going to $1000 in the last second.
On the other hand, neptune=$3/GH (even if it is 4TH) while S1 was at $1/Gh, S2 was at $1.65/GH not so long ago and some upcoming hardware promises the return to $1.2-1.3/GH and about or less than 1w/gh.

Oh yes, very happy with my SP10! Jaded and grumpy with KnCMiner though - they were the "bees knees" at one point last year, now they have fallen from grace.

Spond has picked up the mantle and upped the game with their professional design and build quality.  They are top dawg now in my book.

They were NEVER the bees knees.

they were merely, HEAVILY sugar coated by easily pleased fraggle types who have little to zero previous experience with much at all.

it was obvious by the end of september what kind of ppl they are/were, if not only for their willingness to pay chumps in hardware to do all the promotion for them - chumps with an aggressive - 'im the best, so theyre the best and you are all just fools for asking questions' mentality.

as i believe faetos recently re-asked... bitcoinorama, where are you now?

still living the dream in sweden??

still sporting girls clothing??

still a gimp... obviously!

September? I think I lost track of this thread around that time. I was too busy scanning BFL Jody's blog every day like a chump... desperately hoping for a glimmer of progress on my doomed 65nm orders, but ironically getting more updates about her chickens than actual ASICs.

Thank my lucky stars I didn't upgrade to Monarchs, I'd still be hanging around BFL forums getting force-fed BS from Josh.
